I feel absolutely no sympathy for people who are owed by bitaffnet.
Me neither, It was a scam from the start & was rightly called out by many forum members a long time ago. People who chose to ignore the warnings from other pool operators, software devs, hero & noob forum members alike only have themselves to blame. What I find particularly disturbing is that most of the forum members who correctly called out this scam have been the victims of a hate campaign by certain members of this forum & one (or two) forum moderators who seem to be at the beck & call of these certain forum members, protecting him/them at any cost. It is every miners duty to air their concerns about any and all scams on bitcointalk in order that other miners don't get cheated, ripped off or left out of pocket by these scammers, as has happened in this case, after all, that is what a forum is for. Questions must be asked when a forum is going out of it's way to gag those members who correctly call out scams with blanket banning of anyone who comments in the associated scam thread - particularly when they have been proven to be correct in every respect. Forum members who are concerned & brave enough to risk their reputation by airing their concerns should not be punished or banned - they should be thanked. What kind of standard does this set? A scam is a scam & should be called out as such as a warning to others - and anyone who tries to gag/stifle/censor/ban members for doing so must have a motive for doing so, and as we all know, it's usually a financial one. The perps of this scam are still freely allowed to post on this forum & continue their scams - while the members who spotted the scam long ago are banned for trying to alert & warn fellow members. That's not right. Not at all. There are too many behind the scenes dealings, sneaky handshakes, conflicts of interest & personal agendas going on at bitcointalk between certain moderators & other individuals & is the reason why it has become a haven for scammers in the bitcoin world. +10000 You nailed them dude. Too good to be true for a newbie first post I do REALY hope that something will change and all of us shall put some effort into this In general greed and/or stupidity preferably both is a scam haven. Folks need to change in a first place and all will be fine. Some help from mods will be welcomed also. At least they can do simple ip cheeks from time to times. And make simple announcements like this: Those accounts bla bla bla are using same ip address to post. So we can use our heads and decide what to do. We do not need ip to be revealed. Not a big deal but will be a good start What about it Moderators? |

Relay client is like Bitcoin node peer for his btcd. It has nothing to do with RPC or how ovreloaded btc deamon was.
Max peer count is exhausted and that is all. All of us shall take care of it in one way or on other.

I mine on Bitminter since a year and a half. The pool is great, you just have to learn to live with luck variance.
The Doc is a awsome devoted owner.
1% vs 0% ... that's a greedy call as hell.
I prefer to give 1% to the Doc then helping giant pool who do not give a damm about my miners.

They all get their percentage in one way or another no doubts And doc takes care about all users no mater if they are big miners or just newbies that is a statment from my personal experience. That has no measurement in luck or pool fee!!!!! |

At some point don't we have to cut our losses and simply assume that there's something wrong with the pool and bail? I've already shutdown my less efficient miners because of this bad luck. I'd hate to lose my shares that I've built up during this time but I simply can't run my gear with no revenue incoming. I hate to think that I can't support small pools but the reality is... I can't justify (under any circumstances) an entire week without finding a block.  Calm down dude. Mining at particular pull is a matter of trust for me personally. Nothing is wrong with the pool! Luck is a luck and that is all. Have in mind that so called bigger pools are not immuned to bad luck also... It is your decision after all but if you trust kano I suggest to stay here. If you wanna change avoid Chinese pools at any cost.. What about the good luck before that block? In avarege in long term assuming that BTC diff stays almost same you should be EVEN All - Last 281 Blocks 96.63% 96.25% 0.2687 103.90% The above means that if you were mining here from day one you would made 3.9-0.9 pool fee extra Sounds exelenT for me what about you? Ps: there was very nice graph from organofcorti comparing pools luck and surprisingly kano pool beat them all especially BIGEST Chinese pools Look for it if you want |

We all know that common BTC standart is over specs in speed and power consuption almost everywhere and bitmain is no exception. It is ck who posted (during that good luck streak that coincided to an extent with the network test) that he'd made some changes to the code with the insinuation those changes were responsible for smoothing, aka improving the pool's luck during that storm. Someone else raised the query as to whether those same changes (whose announcement roughly coincided with the start of the bad luck streak) could be playing a part in the current bad luck streak.
I am sure they have looked at the code numerous times since then, doesnt stop me from pondering the question (and wondering whether the same bad luck affliction has befallen the solo pool which I assume also carries those changes).

There is no need to do that con and kano are the most reputable members of the community. You will be absolutely safe. Answering your question - read cgminer read me and learn how to use cgminer api -that does not survive to restarts of cgminer the simplest what you can do is to check your BTC balance. And you will know that you are the one Who found a block. |

I am positive that everybody me, you and Zipkin of course will get what we deserve someday.
