Looking for beta testers!
283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - OFF-THE-CHAIN - BEST 2013 on: July 17, 2013, 02:10:00 AM
Sounds great! Only issue though that could be presented is the 6 confirmations required rule. I would make it similar to the other casinos and make it based on the amount. Like under 1 BTC deposit 1 confirmation, 2-3 BTC 2 confirmations, and so on. Or something similar. Or at least offer what another big casino does, let you click "withdraw" without the ability to cancel that withdraw. I know that sounds weird but I tell you many gamblers do not stop when they really and truly want to do. If you allow them to stop then they'll be happy even if they lose it all later. The other casino that does this is bitzino, when you click withdraw its submitted and once deposits confirmed its sent, no chance of canceling. Even though I've lost there, its good knowing my withdraws will be sent even if I hit a cold streak with the balance I leave to play with. Sorry this was so long and if I sound like I'm ranting, just feel like 6 confirms is too long when many gambling sessions last 15 mins or less from what I've seen.

It might be a good idea to add a "Submit for queue" button. Currently I am just looking to perfect what we already have and eliminate bugs. Thank you for your suggestion!
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Instead of Prisons? on: July 17, 2013, 01:18:16 AM
Courts are the Coliseums of 2013, they are full of demagogues that respond to the demands of the masses, thus people are being sent into a prison for punishment (and in fact it's not even remotely effective, as most of them return) instead of rehabilitation.

Chances are if Jake would be sent to a prison for starting a fight he would become a toughened up criminal when he leaves.

Of course in a neutral, anarchistic society violence would never exist to begin with (or at the very least not be as widespread as it is today).

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much coin anonimity you want? on: July 16, 2013, 03:07:16 AM
How anonymous bitcoin should be? Different people want it to develop in different direction. If they disagree, bitcoin may branch on several branches (hard-fork way or alt-coin way or whatever way). Which branch would you prefer?

-Taxcoin. Tax-friendly currency. Full transparency for authorities.
-Drugcoin. Drug-friendly currency. Generally, no transparency for authorities, but there are ways to track real criminals' money.
-Thugcoin. Absolute anonimity. No way to track payments send to ransom thugs and hired killers.

Sorry if coin names sound like they are value-loaded. Smiley

How about:
-PigGovermentTerroristCoin
-LibertyCoin
-FreeCoin
289  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - No Registration - FREE 0.01 BTC on: July 15, 2013, 05:48:59 PM
Would you guys ever consider a credit system? Deposit bitcoins, then use them to bet so no confirmations needed(after the initial). Like others have said its not fun betting on a random round.

The credit system should be here within a couple of days, also you can check out the Texas Hold'em engine, getting there slowly  Wink.

Hugs Smiley

Why do you people request virtual hugs? lol

I enjoy my nightlife and it's pretty cool to be surrounded with many great people when out, maybe it's just me but sometimes you feel the love towards all human beings collectively, people are great but sometimes people are also down and/or going through a rough time in their life when they feel all alone, that's why I'm here to give hugs. I invite everyone to hug fellow bitcoiners as well. The Bitcoin community is the place to be, perhaps one of the most meaningful people in this century will start here.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransoms and mixers on: July 14, 2013, 02:39:15 AM
There was a topic recently: "what can kill bitcoin", and one of suggested answers was "A kid kidnapped, ransom paid in bitcoins, track lost in a mixer". Such a news would attract huge media attention and can seriously damage BTC reputation. What if, god forbid, taking BTC for ransom becomes common among kidnappers? Can we prevent it from happening, i.e. keep track of these coins?

And more generally, is there a way to keep track of "dirty" coins, while still having "honest" coins anonymous? So that real criminals won't be able to use their ill-gotten money, while honest tax-avoiders Smiley will still be safe?

Can it be done by some technical means, like coloured coins? Or by some reputation means? Something like this: there is a blacklist of "dirty" addresses (in a server or embedder in the blockchain). If the payment came from a "dirty" address, the transaction will be rejected by miners and eventually rolled back. As for mixers, to prevent from being associated with dirty money (and eventually getting blacklisted by miners), they would want to keep log of transactions, with addresses! An average mixer customer, naturally, won't come to a "tax-friendly" mixer, that reports them to authorities. But he also won't go to "dirty" mixer. First, because he (most likely) don't approve criminals. And second, because he don't want to get blacklisted himself. So, the honest folk will still enjoy their anonymity, while the Earth be burning under criminals' feet. Smiley

What if a kidnapper kidnaps a kid, demands gold as ransom and then pays someone to melt the gold into new bricks, will gold be banned forever?

As for your second question no, bitcoin will never become less efficient than what it CAN be so that dumb-ass humans will be able to behave less responsibly with their children, I just love it when people blame the bullets not the killer, blame the knife not the stabber, blame the drugs not the addict, blame alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, blame the Big Mac and not the person jamming it down his throat every day.

Affiliates are now up! You pass your facebook user ID like
Code:
http://www.casinobit.net/poker/?aff=23423423
and every account that registers from that user ID will give you 30% of the rake instantly after every game for a lifetime. That's better than any casino I've heard off and we're planning to keep it this way.

I encourage everyone to test this.
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit SimplePoker - The First Bitcoin Poker (For fun) on: July 13, 2013, 02:58:28 PM
how can I get that 128 mBTC? I would love to help  Smiley and get some mBTCs

Once withdrawals are enabled you will be able to withdraw your balance, currently they are in the testing phrase.

what I mean is, my balance is 10 mBTC, not 128

Ah sorry, forget to edit the topic, every new user is now given 10.1mBTC not 128, the 128 was given out to Pedrog and other early testers.

295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thieves, Govts and Mistakes on: July 13, 2013, 01:54:40 AM
I have been thinking of producing other more effective methods of bitcoin transfer myself, the internet is simply too unpredictable for the average person to handle along with the "chaotically" liberating nature of Bitcoins.

Let me guess, you have probably fallen into one of those BTC-E phishing sites. Probably the one where they demand you watch a really important video (don't even remember the phishing sites excuse for this) and ask you to login before you do that.

It really is amazing to burst the bubble of the average crypto nerd, pretty much this:

The authorization issue has been fixed, from now on we will let every player keep his balance and withdraw it as long as it is not acquired by exploiting bugs in the system.

Do I owe you dinner now?

No, some people like hugs and some people like spankings, both are very therapeutic. Letting it all out and crying while being spanked can be very stress relieving to some people  Roll Eyes
