Backstory: Some years ago users here and there suggested to have an official Discord server (IIRC the original idea was to have instant messaging on Bitcointalk). While making it official seemed like a bad idea, it seemed fun to create a Discord server for the Halving of 2020. A virtual party server to celebrate and have a few small contests. The Halving came and went and some people stayed. Then came Bitcoin Pizza day and we did the same. So it went form something temporary to a thing that's just there. And by all means, it's not meant as a replacement for Bitcointalk (LOL). But this year the Pizza Contest really outgrew the way it was planned and hosted all these years. This is pretty wholesome actually and loved seeing the more recent Bitcointalk Pie and Bitcointalk Pumpking Carving contests. That's why I hinted that next year if we're going to have another contest it will be different  hahahahahaha

Can you scale? and do you (the "pizza contest" system) have staying power?

I will repeat what I've said in previous years: This is supposed to be a fun little* event. If someone tries to ruin the fun they will likely be disqualified anyway. And if this stops being fun for people it will stop being organized.
Let's call this a social experiment with prizes. From the start, I didn't want to create rules for every conceivable case, caveat and exemption. There is no such thing as a perfect system anyway.
So far nobody ruined our fun and am hoping this will continue this year!
* This is not such a little event anymore. Las year we had a record 50 entries, now over double that... 113 pizzas! Thank you @John Abraham for you help in posting the (many) entries that were missing.
As every year, I truly am hoping our fun won't be spoiled this year either because some of us have some big ideas for next year's event!

Unfortunately, this is a problem. It was stated and repeated that the contest is taking place on Discord, like in previous years. However, this is not the first time it happened. If you look at the pinned messages in the #pizza-day-event-2022 channel you will see that I posted the entries for the people that did not post in Discord.
I'd really appreciate it if someone has the time to help out with that this year!
Understandably, some of us are not here to compete against pizza legends! But the effort is worth participating in the contest. I won't mind posting them on the Discord server since you asked. We have almost two more hours to go. Let's see if we see more submissions from members. I will update the pizza gallery and post it here once the time is up. Then I will start posting them on the Discord server. Since you asked, Can you help me clarify one thing? What if we got submissions after the mentioned period? Should I submit them on the Discord Server? Or I should be strict with the rules? Let's say you answered submit them as well, how long I should do it? People may submit all day! It would be awesome if you could post them on Discord! TBH, since everybody is here to have fun... IF there's someone late by an hour or two I'd be inclined to let them participate. So many more pizzas (and various other things ) than I expected! I have quite a few mouthwatering favorites in mind but I'm really curious who you will vote this year's winner! Only 21 Hours left. We have over 90 submissions in this thread, while the Discord server has only 26 Submissions. I encourage everyone to upload their pizza on the Discord server's dedicated event channel #pizza-day-event-2023. Quick update, the prize pool increased as theymos was gratious enough to contribute 5mBTC to the prize pool.
As the past contests: Posting pictures here is encouraged, but please post a picture in the Discord server as well to be able to be voted when the voting starts!
