283  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL: Do not donate any money to charity on: April 01, 2013, 03:29:26 AM
my question is why is this forum still advertising so diligently for BFL?  BFL probably runs this forum.  the new footage of the dude doing tests isn't convincing to me, we're talking about 10,000 rigs oor some crazy number 30,000.  I want to see footage of that.  that and his hand holding the camera had a nervous shake.

maybe I'm wrong.  but if this forum is going to advertise a scam, they should be held responsible when it turns out to be a scam.  afterall probably 90% of BFL customers got there to BFL from the forum advertisements.  I would just ask that the forum stop advertising unless BFL provides hard proof that they are doing what they are claiming. (NOT HARD TO DO NOR AN UNREASONAbLE REQUEST)

I'm talking a simple youtube video of all the people involved with all the equipment they're working on.  just a little "hello" for the public.  otherwise advertising for them is irresponsible in my opinion based on their 140 days of false promises.

just because there's a youtube video out now of a dude working on a BFL board and talking about its specs gives me no confidence.  since I saw joshes youtube videos I haven't trusted BFL because his vibe just turns me off, he reminds me of scammers I know...

people are like, "you will destroy your reputation for naysaying his royal highness josh zertan."

I don't care, its a candid valid concern for our entire community.  forum, stop the advertising, or deliver proof its not a scam.  I guess if the forum sees the product with their own eyes that's good enough.  after all the forum is run by BFL, so their eyes are fine for confirming public trust.  I am just speculating what sort of blow this might have on the BTC economy cuz the pirate thing was only 6 mil, this is over 100 mil.

may I ask is there any thread that definitively proves or disproves that BFL is a royal heist?  please direct me.  and I will shut up about it if there is proof they aren't scammin.  thank you.
284  Bitcoin / Mining / how can BFL still be advertising on the forum on: April 01, 2013, 02:53:39 AM
I've been investigating Butterfly labs, came to some startling facts.  they have a never ending stream of apologies for said product not being released, and another endless stream of promises that it will be just 2 more weeks.  and its gone on for 6 months now.

and there is absolutely no evidence they have provided that there is any product at all, and the forums are STILL advertising for them!?  I see their little advertisements everywhere.

correct my fact digging if I'm wrong

*josh zerlan is a douche canoe
*the original CEO of BFL was a mail fraudster https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110805.0
*they have taken in over 100 million dollars

*have absolutely no evidence that there is ANYTHING.
*reeks of scam

if they are a huge scam then it will take a huge blow to BTC, the pirate scam was $6mil and dented the BTC economy.  this is potentially over $100 mil..

why is nobody putting pressure on butterfly labs?  they are casually being advertised by the FORUM ITSELF> we are all tools for even participating in this forum then.

as far as I am concerned there is no reason to trust BFL for their demonstration of complete incompetence.  so many people stand up for them with false info and sorry hopes that their jalapeno is coming to make them rich.

tools

why hasn't this been taken down from the forum advertisements,

and why has enough pressure not been placed on BFL
to actually provide proof of their progress on ANYTHING?

what a great scam, and its like everybody just wants it to happen and lose their money as the BTC trading value turns to crap.  BFL is probably looking at me like a little fly in its way of raking in money just for speaking out about how fishy they smell.  its obvious to me.  watch BFL's videos and read between the lines, scam.  sorry tools you gotta learn.

the reason I am creating a new post is to ask HOW IS THIS FORUM STILL ADVERTISING FOR BFL WITH MORE THAN ENOUGH SPECULATED EVIDENCE THAT THEY ARE DOUCHE CANOES?

well I don't know where else to speculate.  this is the newbie section we are in, that's pretty funny.  I'm not a newb anymore.  I'm gonna end my part in this conversation here, ahssman your thoughts and insights are appreciated and understandable

I have a question regarding the bolded statement -- The guy "running the company" isn't the guy who was convicted of mail fraud.

Actually he was running the company.  As soon as it became known who he was and what he'd done they quickly arranged to transfer the CEO title to somebody else.  Go ahead, look it up.

could we get the facts here please?
assman are you BFL?  if you are congratulations on making so much money on everybody.

if not could we be a bit more considerate and stop spreading misleading information?  please.  its just like why man?  unless you are BFL why muddy up the facts?

I think ahss man is just really set on getting his jalapeno

I hope he does get his jalapeno for all our sakes.
because I just invested a bunch of money into bitcoin and I would like to see it grow not disappear.

Can someone please direct me to where I might be able to find the data that would reveal how much in total BF has taken in for the pre-orders?

Thanks in advance.

You try to come off as being so smart, do your own research.

288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: April 01, 2013, 01:28:43 AM
Good Morning Everyone,

Quick Question -----IF Butterflylabs turns out to be a huge scam, will the publication of such in the main-stream media adversely effect the price of Bitcoins?

My rational is that if there is such an outcome (Butterflylabs is a scam), it will tarnish the entire Bitcoin movement, but I would like to hear your thoughts as well.

well the pirate fiasco was only $6 million and it took a blow to the bitcoin economy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108390.0 http://bitcoinmagazine.com/the-pirate-saga-and-so-it-ends/

and BFL is at over $100 million

so.... IF it ends up being a scam, I would imagine it would dent the economy pretty bad, but I think the economy will eventually recover.  but as the other guy says maybe its not a scam.  he's invested into it so of course he's going to believe all is well.

I'm pretty new to mining and ordered a BFL Jalapeno. Should I get a refund?

but from where I'm standing all signs point to scam

Maybe you should stand somewhere else.

- The guy "running the company" isn't the guy who was convicted of mail fraud. *BUZZ* try again.
- They never promised ASIC product for August 2012. They predicted they'd be able to ship by October 2012. *BUZZ* try again.
- Ok, this one is accurate. Josh does come off like a humongous douchecanoe. *DING*
- UH, no, press releases are not "always 'great' and exactly what you want to hear". Most press releases are apologizing for yet another delay, production/testing problem, etc, and begging for customer patience and forgiveness. In fact, the vast majority of press releases are pretty much the OPPOSITE of "exactly what you want to hear", since I'm sure the overwhelming majority of pre-order customers want to hear "Hey, we're shipping your unit(s) now!" *BUZZ*

SO, let's see, 3 out of 4 assertions incorrect.  *golfclap*

But yes, please do continue to encourage people to cancel their pre-orders and get refunds. Every cancelled pre-order earlier than mine means I move up the line and get mine sooner.

haha thanks for the golf clap, I love your response to my speculations.  its exactly what I was looking for, because on every other thread this is what is being posted, (and i wanted verifiable sources on claims) so I was fishing for truth here, and you delivered.  well without sources, but I'll google for em

so the facts are the CEO isn't a mail fraudster.  cool.  I hope everything goes well then.  for your sake.

and what I meant is that the press releases seem really professionally apologetic and full of B.S. with a never ending stream of false promises.  haha "douchcanoe!!!!"  Cheesy

alright well thanks guys for bringing me up to speed I spent hours investigating this matter to judge where to put my assets.  at least its even more elusive, but the truth is coming out.  I'm gonna go verify what you said ahzman

bfl laughing at us all "haha, they ain't getting shit, we keep taking their btc, when do you think they will get it, that we are scamming all these ppl?" Will be the biggest bitcoin heist of all time.

well as a community we should have some sort of pressure on shit like this, because gigantic bitcoin heists hurt the bitcoin economy and youregoing to feel it in your own investment.

there should be some kind of mechanism implemented.  and dude who is annoyed sorry buut fuck ignore me, this thread was misleading so I had to cap it off

really just publicity and maybe lawsuits might do the trick

the fact that we all know about it and its still going on blows my mind.  what a bunch of pussies.  nerds need to grow some balls and stop this nonsense
291  Other / Off-topic / free informational video on the future of humanity on: March 31, 2013, 07:04:59 AM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvU5ukIQiuE

I put together this video.  I also made a few other informational videos on the libertarian ron paul and plant based nutrition, as well as a video on the ancient food of man(essene bread)

all pretty interesting info...

I have this giant idea for the future of humanity, a vision.

I basically want to open up a sanctuary for all nations kindreds tongues to come and trip out on ayahuasca and peyote and vipassana meditation, and sweat lodges, and get healthy in their lives.

I'm a member of the native american church http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_Church  and that membership sanctions this sanctuary to exist legally.  as my religion.  the religious freedom restoration act has brought us back our rights to pray in these ways.

.. so yeah, I'm experienced with the ceremonial aspects surrounding these medicines, also connected with various medicine men and women who will help me run the sanctuary but I need a huge start up, maybe crowd funding, to buy land, and dedicate it as its own nation to all the people of the earth.  all nations.

its actually LEGAL to practice ancient religion using peyote and ayahuasca, supreme court has ruled to protect my family numerous times.  and so now it is time to pave the way to bring these holy medicines into the lives of the ones close to us in the oblivious american society.  it seems to be the only thing that will truly help us heal from our collective neurosis and separatism.

so I have a majorly awesome plan brewing to basically start a modern religion tying in the ancient lineages (ayahuasca, peyote, sweat lodges, vipassana meditation, aikido, gnosticism, yoga etc etc)

pretty much get descendents of every ancient lineage together and farm and run meetings for all nations of the earth.

and also I want to somehow register as my own indian reservation if that's possible cuz I'm an indian I should have a reservation, my own nation, so I can pass my own laws and welcome anyone from any nation into my land to do these amazing things and communicate with star people and energy beings and aliens and god.... it seems like western society isn't ready for that so they make it some kind of taboo.  but to me its the only aspect of reality that is sane.  if anyone desires to experience ayahuasca it is recommended to go to ayahuasca-wasi.com or temple of the way of light, both those organizations are great

so that is my vision in a nutshell, bring the medicine to the people.  for free.  totally donation based.  I'm associated with santo daime and other sects of the ayahuasca religions of the amazon rainforest.  I've been traveling extensively for the last 12 years, and am now just starting to understand money and value and I love bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a concept and I think that it will potentially save humanity, and together we can become invincible as one people without central banksters sabatoging our lives with debt and foolishness.

that is my vision.  I carry very old medicine ways and I hope to bring the 4 sacred medicines home.  aho

I am just one man.  with a big dream.  and I need alot of help.  like probably 10 million bucks would be a good start to get the sanctuary off the ground.  its gotta be like 6,000-10,000 acres for buffalo to have enough room.  its also gotta be world class.  I am not messing around when I dream this big.  it will probably be in new mexico.

after its up it will run on dana donations from the many people worldwide who it touches the lives of...  and all are welcome to pray around my fireplace.  all are welcome here.  I carry ancient medicine ways to share with all of you.  knowledge of many species of medicine cactus, peyote, achuma, (that white man has OUTLAWED for himself.  make medicine illegal!)  well the u.s. constitution protects ancient religions and medicine ways under freedom of religion.  and they are ruling how they should now.  because all evidence of health is apparent and no judge presented the honest case could rule against health and vitality.

watch my videos, get in touch with me.  I am out in the middle of nowhere sheridan wyoming working for pennies for now because I lost all my documents like SS card and drivers license having a hell of a time getting government to give me documents.

if you have alot of money and you like my ideas and my videos and resonate with my belief that this is the future of health and well being for humanity and that these medicine ways are directly related to human evolution (if you have no experience with native cultures you might not understand, but try and find a sweat lodge or a peyote meeting then you'll understand.)  here I'll give you a peek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVIAZdH4FDE these are called peyote songs.  they are our hymns.

there is a whole world to learn if you've never experienced it.  but it goes beyond politics and into nature.

feel free to donate .01 bitcoin or more to my bitcoin address, every smidgeon helps me work on manifesting this dream for mankind,

my friends are opening up a cafe over in sebastopol, and I am taking over the duty's of caretaking 3,000 acres in wyoming, so if you're in the area get ahold of me and come hang out.  I welcome the world into my home, and into my inipi.  I'll be bouncing from wyoming to northern california all year.

if you're in either area email me and let's talk bitcoin and future of the world.  yeah I might be getting paid a salary this year for caretaking the land, I have always worked for free and never been a money person, but now I am resonating with bitcoins so I got 3 bitcoins and I gave 1 out in chunks to friends to get them started on it.

I am not a normal character in america, I have traveled to the far edges of the spacetime continuum where reality breaks down into quarks and leptons and quantum spin kicks in.  I have encountered things that nobody would easily believe.  yes elves, space elves.  faerie, gods, menataurs, mythical beings, lakshmi, ganesh, like IN REAL TIME.  buddha.  they are all real beings outside this.  ayahuasca opens up portals into ascension.

I currently live in the first nations world of native americans, and american cowboy culture, I am choctaw and cherokee and irish, and scottish and english and germanic and swiss.  a total mutt.  but I am reconnecting with all the old ways, and I feel comfortable representing any culture I am from.

I've hitch hiked over 10,000 miles, I go to rainbow gatherings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_Gathering and have lived in slab city.  I was raised by mormons but it is madness to me and so I am currently also campaigning into exposing the madness and revolutionizing mormon culture into something more earth friendly.  and I am basically an orphan because of my beliefs in the old ways over mormonism- yeah long story.  this isn't about me though its about the vision.  I pray for the best for all of us.

its an hour long, but here I try to explain my vision
and my experience in far off worlds and mystical states
using modern techniques, and then how I discovered the ancient more appropriate techniques for accessing this side of ourselves.  if anything I hope you enjoy this download.  namashka aho metakuwayasin

Now that someone was kind enough to write https://www.bridgewalkerapp.com/ we can finally put an end to this nonsense.

If you are "afraid" of the fact bitcoin keeps going up in value, you can use this app accept and spend BTC, while holding dollars. You will be 100% protected from the horrible "volatility" that every Bitcoin holder I know of is actually thrilled with.

I have to say, hats off to the author. I suspect hardly anyone will use it, but it's the best troll-killer ever.

294  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: March 31, 2013, 05:32:10 AM
I'll admit it's a bit puzzling how/why they still take orders for something that clearly does not yet exist.  Seems like even if they are legit and do launch a product they will be so far behind in manufacturing that it will be impossible.

I could be wrong; but; seems like a great way to end up in legal/financial trouble for the rest of your working life.

not only they are taking new preorders, but they are also investing quite a good money to attract newbies to their scammy preorders...

....and....where is a working prototype?

red flags everywhere

I saw a few on youtube. I also notice people on ebay selling them.

no you didn't look closely.  people on EBAY are selling their place in line for the PREORDERS
and the ones on youtube are the previous product before the mythical BFL ASIC
295  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buckle Your Seatbelts on: March 31, 2013, 05:07:46 AM
^^^ To respond to the cut and paste above, this guy is talking about felony and laws and so forth, and a good percentage of the population knows that that's all bullshit, since weed should be legal.  Lawyers are performing violence against the human race, and this guy is either rich and can afford to use law as a weapon or shield, or he's not able to see that a lot of laws are just controlling bullshit.

His points about transactions being recorded, are somewhat salient, but not enough to stop what bitcoin represents.  I hate lawyers, and I love guns, so what does that say?  Many people will never agree with me.  Crypto, from the outset, has been seen as an enabler of crime.  But in fact, the very essence of crime is, doing what the authority says you can't do.  In Russia or China, the government is the biggest criminal, and the USA is tilting down that road as well.  The minute the banks of the US get raided like Cyprus, pretty much all lawyers will have to run for cover, because guns and crypto will be far more valuable to them.

When the banks crash, as they must, the US military will be running the courts.  Traditionally, gold and silver were mostly used to pay soldiers in booty (See David Graeber's (sp?) fine youtubes on debt) and so the question essentially becomes this:  How many US soldiers, reservists, or militiamen, are bitcoin enabled and crypto proficient?  That's the only essential question for the next 20 years.  Lawyers as such, have inflated their profession beyond all human concern, and so they have in essence, debauched law itself.  Law, will have to find its own center after the banks collapse.  I think it will do so, but we will have to go through a sort of "Liberty Valance" type of era, where lawyers are mostly seen as vermin.  Just my two cents.

david graeber is great
it seems that much gnarly shite will go down in the next 20 years- will bitcoin or cryptocurrency survive?  max keiser's theory that bitcoin could take over is pretty nice, I like the idea, I like the idea of the establishment just sort of killing over nice and easy as we turn our backs on it, giving way to a common sensical means of open source human evolution..
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buckle Your Seatbelts on: March 31, 2013, 12:08:18 AM
I think you're right on too.

one thing that has been brought to my attention is a potentially devastating blow to the bitcoin community with butterfly labs possibly heisting over 100million dollars for their claimed products with backorders.  there is much info on it.  they are offering money making machines for next to nothing and people all over the world are falling for it and ordering, they've sold thousands of these in preorders, and have been promising to deliver since august of 2012.  when I was looking they had promised to deliver by the end of march, now they are pushing back to end of june.

sounded like a scam to me, so I did a ton of research on it.  and here's what I came up with from reading through the forums

brian micon youtube video -shows CEO's reaction to brian micons doubt that they are legit.
I've read multiple threads stating that the CEO of said company is a convicted felon for mail fraud already, for 25 million.  this is what THEY DO!?

the whole thing smells of scam to me.  I lived on the streets of NYC and LA and I know scammers, I can read minds fairly accurately, if you want to give it a shot watch the CEO talk to the public carefully delivering exactly what they want to hear.)  (I have a 75% rate of mind reading, from lots of ayahuasca experience)(so I don't trust him lets just say that)

but many customers just rant and rave about this imaginary product they are getting and stand up for him even though many have been yannked around since august.  with promises.  and now they are up to something like 120 million and the number rises everyday how much they are heisting from people.

if they are legit, their products will revolutionize BTC mining, and simultaneously boost the BTC economy drastically with stability and a good future(IDEAL SITUATION).  if they are a scam, and we collectively recognize this, BTC value will plummet immediately.

two ways to go.

which would provide a good opportunity to buy up BTC cheap before it recovers in the next few years.  or I am feeling like litecoin might end up being more trusted as its not tied with silk road and such.  so this is how I'm playing my cards

I am waiting until realization of said product is delivered or realize its a scam, and I am immediately trading out for litecoins if it is scam.  lite coins should surge ahead while bitcoin collapses.  then I am going to buy up btc and possibly 5X or 10X my investment.

this is just what I am visualizing.

but the originating post in this thread I agree with in the long run, but we have much growing pains to go through in this economy.  its not necessarily going to be just investing in coins and sitting on them.  its going to be like riding a bull.  I prefer to ride bucking mammoths.  or diablos.

anyway.  not to pop the hype, but being realistic.  the BFL issue has hardly been discussed as repercussions to the bitcoin community.  the BFL people are always elusive and make these PR announcements that are completely what you want to hear but say absolutely nothing, like george W bush would do in a press conference.

anyway, just wanted to ask if anybody saw any holes in my theory with BFL and the repercussions with the BTC economy.  if they successfully heist 130 million from the BTC economy that's 13% of the entire economy stolen.

but my paranoia could be just paranoia and they could be just assholes that have no tact with public relations, but who are going to deliver said product...

look into it and get some media on their asses put some pressure on em... and be smart with your money people
297  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: March 30, 2013, 11:45:46 PM
ok so what i have read here
bfl ceo is a convicted felon for 25 million dollars of mail fraud
they have been promising delivery of said products since august of last year.  bryan micons youtube video shows a total ass jsh zertan or whatev his name is

from my analysis of his energy I would say that dude is mmost definitely a scammer, he's a schemer for making money, which is why he got into mining in the first place.  his mannerisms are too careful and too positive, and just what a customer wants to hear, but to anybody who knows scammers with any street smarts (I lived on the streets of NYC and LA I run into scammers all the time, I even know scammers personally from various places.  a dude n my grandma's church growing up in wyoming is a scam artist. and I'd say that guy is pulling off the greatest scam in bitcoin history)  but of course I could be completely wrong, I'm just speculating.  but I will further speculate as follows.

when the collective community definitively realize that they are scammed and they do make some kind of break with over 100 million dollars of bitcoin communities money, its gonna be a drastic blow.  that's 10% of the whole economy.  it might have reached terminal velocity increasing, but the pirate fiasco from before didn't it make the economy collapse?  this is a young economy and we have to go through chicken pox and all that to get our immunities, but I am foreseeing a sort of fiasco coming, depending on whether it is a scam or not.

if it is a scam, bitcoin will go down in value.  10% of the entire economy vanishes. that's the biggest yet!

I will speculate that people invested in bitcoin that have the knowledge of litecoin will jump over there and litecoin will surge ahead in trade value, or... it might go down too.

I realize I'm just speculating personally, but thought I woould share my thoughts with you fine thinkers to see if anyone resonated or could correct me in any faulty assumptions I might have.

PROOF of BFL's legitimacy would be awesome.  like a picture of them working on a ton of products, a picture of the assembly line?  there must be some super easy way for them to legitimize themselves.  but so far it seems like everything is this brilliant heist.

just my 0.00002 btc
