I think it is.
Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.
Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?
Unfortunately, there are some truth in your opinion, however, I couldn't agree that bitcoin is dead. The price between $5,000 and $6,000 doesn't mean "fall" for me. I remember the latter of 2017 before the price surged to it's ATH, bitcoin is just around the same price as today. Granting that the graph/charts shows a descending trend, it doesn't necessarily mean that bitcoin is dying. You should keep in mind that the previous ATH was influenced by media, ads, and etc, which made the noobs and wolves buy bitcoins without knowing it's core purpose - they just want to make money out of thin air, and that's it for them. Those same people are the ones who have sold their bitcoins recently and unfortunately, the big money makers are buying it cheap. Just wait until these money makers satisfy their greed, and bitcoin will soar once again. Weak hands wouldn't believe, of course.

Because money and banks have failed me for so many years. I had kept a bunch of money in banks but the annual profit was unacceptable versus the gains they got from it. Banks have made themselves rich using someone else's money, this is why they fear bitcoins in the first place. Now, it is obvious that big banks (money makers) are the reason why bitcoin and other cryptos fall prices - they surely will try to accumulate as many bitcoins as they can because they failed to do so on the early stage. Few years from today, bitcoin will be the money for all of us - this is why i believe in bitcoin.

I read some news that Ethereum will get back to 400 dollars.
Do you think these rumors are real? I tend to think yes and I think this will happen soon.
To be well understood, I believe in Ethereum's potential (even though so far I have lost money investing in Ethereum, but I notice that it is still a good project and this will makes it to explode one day) and I still believe that by the end of 2018 it will have an increase of thousands of dollars, but at the same time I feel that it will drop much more than it is now before starting the growth again.
Somebody must have been trying to pull the price down as hard as it can because they want to buy this coin very badly. Optum Rx is now adapting ETH blockchain technology and not to mention www.coins.ph is now offering ETH to Peso exchange. Now do you see the big picture?

In my case, I will definitely do the same thing - I will max out my credit card during a huge dip, then I would run away from my debt.

Accepting of new applicants will be done after the end of week 1
So are previous applications like me denied or will they also be checked on end of week 1? Previous applications will still be checked after week 1. Hey, you're the man! I wish all campaign managers are like you... you never left us all hangin' CHEEEERS! keep it up.

Not really... the government doesn't accept bitcoins yet, seminars were held to make the people aware about how risky or favorable bitcoin is. Pinoys are financially noob - that is a hard fact that we should accept, and it seems like the government is becoming aware of it. Probably that's why seminars were held to avoid being scammed or robbed in bitcoins. Anyway, I have this feeling that the sons of the president are all bitcoin enthusiasts.

I have some ETH in my wallet. And Currently, BCH is trading at $1200 while ETH is at $900. What is the future of BCH as its ATH was $3400. Is it a good idea to convert few ETH to BCH?
Between the two, I will lay my eggs in BCH because it will be available in local exchanges very soon. Not to mention coins.ph. I have nothing against ETH but I am always looking forward to maximize profits, and that seems to be possible with bitcoincash. DRAGON SLAYER!

I am seeing another drop around 8000ish or worse 7000ish. My take is to sell bitcoins at the current price and wait for another dip and then buy it. The oldies should take advantage of the volatility that is happening right now - and since we already had felt that 20,000ish last December, we can assume that sooner or very sooner, the price will rocket to another ATH. Enjoy the WAVES!

I am employed in an Indian call center located in the Philippines and I had a small talk with this Indian about the status of cryptocurrency in his country. He said that it is near impossible for their government to sort of control it because P (Pakistan) will surely take advantage. The people will surely find a way to buy/sell cryptocurrencies whether the government takes control or whatever... If they will place some sort of taxation out of it, then these people might consider to do business with Pakistan, and the government will not be happy about that.

I placed buy orders at 8,000ish and held it a little bit, luckily I was able to sell at 11,000ish and move the game in cycles... however, at this moment I am not gonna sell yet, I have this feeling that BTC will pump very soon after some whales (just my opinion) have bagged tons of it. In my observations, BTC could hit 15,000 to 16,000 not too far from today.

I have received an email from Poloniex early this morning saying the same. I honestly don't care what could it bring as long as it remain as a hackerproof exchange and they keep me as one of their legacy members. I would like to know if is anybody here had encountered errs already with their gunbots in poloniex after the transition.
Man, it feels good to be back! I got jailed for a couple of months!

I am actually waiting for the next attack... the last time they attacked BTC, I was totally damaged (November 12) and I sold out a portion of my bitcoins.
Now, in this BCH dip I was able to buy bags of it. Let's see where could it take me now...

I literally don't remember anything about the password. I can give you a couple of old passwords i was using around that time period and perhaps they were some modification of that.
The wallet is a bitcoinqt wallet and the posted json is from pywallet dumpwallet function.
I did just email dave from wallet recovery but i figured i'd give other people a try too. I would post the full wallet but i would like to recover the 3 btc thats in another address. Happy to give whoever cracks it an additional 0.5 bitcoin from the 3 bitcoin address. Will add that to op now
Here's some potential passwords
Fromage243 FromageMadre96 FromageMadre966 FromageMadre966? MadreFromage966 Po215ghyqaz Poghy666qaz Poghy667qaz Poghy66qaz TiltedQuittles87! fromage244 fromagemadre fromagemadre96 fromagemadre966 fromagemadre99 fromagemasdre96 jurgis343 jurgis43 pOghy2qaz patikno quiltedtittles87 qwertycunt890! wqup4qmh
I did try all of them obviously and none of them worked.
Question: would it be feasible to crack an 8 char password given a-z A-Z 0-9? I'm just curious, i don't remember the actual length.
If I could crack it, i'll just give you some sats. Just kidding. Anyway, why in the hell did you lose your keys?

The year 2017 was the year bitcoin with $1000 and ended with almost $20,000.
Will it be wise and reasonable to say that this year will be ethereum year looking at what is happening now in the exchange floor?
Hey amigo... what are your basis? I am not here to bash or to dirty talk, but can you kindly cite some news regarding ETH and why should I believe that this will fly this year? I know haters gonna hate this, but I am expecting BCH to rocket this year due to it's availability soon in Southeast Asia via coins.ph; The transaction fee is lower compared to my pre-loved BTC that's why this may cause attractions to users. (coins.ph is used to pay bills, just so you know). If you can show something that supports your statement about ETH, I will swap my BCH to ETH asap.

The word Crash is a bit hard but we already 15% down... How are you hedging in those correction time cause in my case, I have several plateforms and I cant tell sell everything for bit/eth or LIT and then send those to platform with USD or EUR accounts where I can risk off, its too complicated....
What's your strategy in market corrections ?
Buy on DIP!!!!!!!!! Anyway, don't be so attached with your cryptos, ok? if you want to make the most out of it, your goal must be to earn FIAT. I have learned the hard way, amigo... was too clingy with bitcoins but then I decided to just ride along whichever is pumping and leave whichever is dumping. Now, i have bunch of BCH waiting for a perfect dump time. Always leave something in your tether wallet so you can buy whenever there is an unexpected DIP.
