561  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: October 08, 2017, 12:41:07 PM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink
I remember back when I was a kid, there was some sort of news that was spread over the internet (that was around 1995 i guess), and it was about the world going cashless - the news even referred to it as the "666". It was wierd, and honestly I'm not buying it until now. Going cashless is such a gift to mankind, I don't think it was made by the devil. ha ha! Anyway, cashless society will bring good to every human being, there would be no room for thieves (just hackers) lol.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: October 08, 2017, 12:16:26 PM
Share your ideas here.   Grin

In my opinion, I think we will be stuck in one price or maybe worse we will all go down.

Here is what happened when US citizens are saving too much.

Quote
That's important because American spenders make up the majority -- about 70% -- of economic activity in the country. If people don't spend, the economy doesn't grow.

Check it out here

It might go the other way around, I guess. Look, if everyone is holding their bitcoins then that means the demand will increase while the supply stays low. But honestly, I don't think this will happen - people who earn bitcoins will certainly be excited at some point to spend it to something they badly wanted. Earning bitcoins is not much different from earning salary in a day job, except for taxes.
563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: October 08, 2017, 12:06:05 PM
You cannot do anything about it, once you lose your money you have no choice but to move on to the next cycle. However, you ain't losing money if you are not selling low, so be patient to wait for the price to get pumped up (believe me, every coin has a chance to get pumped by whales, you just have to wait patiently). So again, if you don't need cash, I strongly suggest that you hold. CAVEAT.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH? on: October 08, 2017, 11:59:46 AM
I'll keep my loyalty to bitcoins. Ethereum is a good investment because it's whitepaper tells us how useful it is for creating a token representing an asset, however, I don't like it when the government interferes with a cryptocurrency - in Ethereum's case, I am not comfortable with Vitalik discussing many things with Vlad, that's why I choose bitcoins over anything else.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on the next fork? on: October 06, 2017, 06:03:54 PM
What are you guys predicting will happen before/after the next fork?
I assume that BTC price will fall after the fork because the people will go back to their recent altcoins (assuming that they only moved to / bought bitcoins to get free btcgold); Anyway, the price fall won't be permanent because late adapters will most likely buy bitcoins in the dip. Geez, it's hard to tell huh. ha ha ha. But one thing is kinda certain to happen, people will sell bitcoin gold to get more bitcoins.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: October 06, 2017, 10:39:45 AM
We are in fact alive without China. I know most of you would not agree but we don't really need big countries like China to survive... all we need are good products to be sold exclusively with bitcoins and watch how the market go crazy. I am hoping that the Koreans would include bitcoin wallets bloatware in their Samsung phones so it would catch the attention of the end-users. Once the giant online stores begin to accept bitcoin as payments, you can forget about China.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 05, 2017, 05:59:45 PM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!
I know that haters are going to hate, but I suggest that you should put all your money in bitcoins now, especially if you still have a day job and wouldn't need to spend your savings too soon. Bitcoin had reached $5000 not too long ago, right now its seems to be preparing for a full throttle so you better place your money in a wise position a.s.a.p. Please feel free to think for yourself. CAVEAT.
568  Economy / Economics / Re: Disrupting Wall Street on: October 04, 2017, 06:16:46 PM
What do you think and how can we achieve it faster?
Achieve what? Anyway, please continue your research about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. It seems like you are thinking about it the wrong way and you might be having thoughts of getting rich in a finger snap with bitcoins.
569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Positive bitcoin news as of late and its effect on BTC value on: October 04, 2017, 06:12:10 PM
I guess most people are collecting bitcoins before the fork so they can collect bitcoin gold after it - that's why the price is going upward. Somehow I get excited to sell my btc at this point, however, I may not get to have a chance to buy back before October 25.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: October 04, 2017, 04:28:04 PM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
Altcoins nowadays are risky to hold, however, if you just want to trade them day to day then you must check out the trading volume so you can make sure that you are not going to have a bag of nonsense. You may also look for coins who are minting, you may research it in twitter and in this forum. I have been minting coins for a while now, and man it is fun!
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: October 04, 2017, 04:10:26 PM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink
Lending is also another good way to earn bitcoin. I have tried putting 0.5 BTC in Poloniex and lend it for sometime. My gains are roughly .03 bitcoins which is not bad compared to just letting my money sleep in the ledger.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: October 04, 2017, 03:46:41 PM
http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?
Man, this thread gave me goosebumps. I hope in 3 years from now, bitcoins would hit the $10,000 mark. Somehow, I want to experience life without needing a job or a boss at all. Once bitcoin hits that mark, I'll become a millionaire.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: October 04, 2017, 03:34:06 PM
I believe it is. Back in the 90s I didn't realize that cellular phones will become mainstream and soon replace the telephones; same with emails replacing the use of snail mails. Today, most people might be having the same exact nostalgia towards bitcoin replacing mainstream money. With my experience from my day to day transactions, I can say that I didn't need fiat that much since my major expenses could be paid in bitcoins.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 03:18:00 PM
I did. I am currently working at home to write blogs and participate in forums in exchange to bitcoins. About a couple of months ago, I had left my day job because I realized that my earnings in bitcoin is enough for me to survive the entire month. At least I have plenty of time to research on news and new coins to trade with bitcoins.
575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Profitable is Bot / automated trading on: October 04, 2017, 03:45:27 AM
It depends on your entry price. (yes you had read it correctly, it depends on your entry price) - There is nothing special with Gunbots aside from it trades 24/7 with an algorithm of buying at low and selling at high. What happened to my bot was it hasn't traded that much since July until today because at the very moment I triggered it on, it started buying promptly and then waited for the price to go up before it sell. Unfortunately, altcoins are all down that's why my bot hasn't sold a lot of coins. Two weeks ago, I manually sold some old bagged altcoins and triggered a USDT/BTC algorithm. So far its giving me small profits already. That sounds better than static. If you want to trade using bots, you must turn it on during dips.
576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins good for trading? on: October 04, 2017, 03:34:40 AM
I wanna try trading but I don't know what coin to buy so that I could start with my trading. Can anybody help me and give me information on which tokens to invest in. Thank you.
Check out the volume, bro... you won't want bagging a bunch of altcoins that soon nobody would buy. Anyway, here are my bets - Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Ripple, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash (yeah, haters gonna hate) ha ha ha. Another advice - don't settle to just one exchange, explore all of those websites. I trade in Poloniex, Bitfinex, Bittrex (not the milk), and Cryptopia. Good luck to you.
577  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 04, 2017, 03:28:27 AM
It's hard to tell especially because I don't know if I'm still alive by that time. Anyway, my gut instinct tells me that Mr John McAfee's vision will realize very soon - probably in 3 to 5 years from now. When that happens, everyone from this forum/website must celebrate! BTC @ $500,000
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DId anyone get investigated when they cashed out a lot of bitcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 03:15:46 AM
Fortunately, there is a limit to cash-outs here in the Republic of the Philippines. At the moment, the maximum cash-out per day is 50,000 Philippine Peso (which is not surprising for a single transaction, and won't put you on the watch-list, at all). I know someone my age has cashed out nearly 500,000 Pesos worth of bitcoins, and so far nobody from the government has questioned him.
579  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: October 04, 2017, 03:06:10 AM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.
I have seen a lot of ads in Youtube promoting bitcoin banks, and honestly I don't agree to that idea. First of, before an individual involves himself to bitcoins, he should be technologically responsible for all his bitcoins. Second, bitcoin is supposedly about freedom, isn't it? If you can't trust your wealth to yourself then bitcoin is certainly NOT for you... don't make these mainstream wolves rich because of your irresponsibility and noobity.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Endorses 11 Bitcoin Exchanges on: October 04, 2017, 02:58:48 AM
I haven't heard about bitcoin yet when I was living in Tokyo, but now I honestly want to go back there for good. Having 11 endorsed btc exchanges means a lot to the community knowing that China abandoned it's support to bitcoins. What I am seeing is that the Chinese will eventually have the courage to go back to trading via these exchanges from Japan. Yen to Yuan conversion is not that difficult though.
