Well, why would two countries want to trust a piece of software that are run by mostly non-communist developers? Putin showed some interest in Ethereum because he thought Vitaly Dmitriyevich "Vitalik" Buterin a Russian born would be a good option to pick. The thing is Vitaly Dmitriyevich "Vitalik" Buterin is a Canadian citizen, so it is not a perfect fit. These two countries want FULL control over their digital currency, like they have over their own Fiat currencies and Bitcoin does not give them FULL control.  K.. Can exchanges be hacked? Can they get shut down or disappear? Perhaps try asking those that had coins at MtGox.
There have also been instances where private wallets got hacked too. There have been people who also lost passphrases/private keys to their wallets too and couldn't get out their Bitcoin. Just the same way we've people complaining of hacks with exchanges, it's the same way we have it with private wallets. Even Ledger, adjudged to be safe, will also have issue once its details are compromised. To be honest, I think a lot of crypto owners are paranoid and that's unnecessarily so. If one has anything less than 100 BTC, I don't think it should pose any sleeplessness for the owner. Breaking the quantity into several electrum/blockchain/ coinomi wallets and keeping them offline should be safe enough. I've used those wallets and don't think they're that bad to use. Yeah. And showing public keys on telegram not knowing better. Shock comes when you find out you are being taken advantage of. I use the tip bot sometimes. About the hacking. "It's always an inside job" came to no conclusion. Not talking about some demoralized old judge. Sniping a candle is not hacking. Got you. |

I love Andreas Antonopoulos. Having said this, he recently said something in one episode of his podcast that surprised me. He was talking about living on Bitcoin and he said that he HODLs his BTC and basically spends only USD. He gets paid in all different fiat, and he spends this fiat for his daily life. When he can, he buys more BTC and HODL.
While I understand that many of us HODL, isn't this just wrong for the future of BTC. First, Satoshi created BTC as a currency. It is intended to be spent. Second, if everyone HODL and nobody spends BTC, isn't this becoming just a pyramid scheme?

Honestly speaking, I didn't hear about bitcoin interest and its percentage either. first time I've known after seeing your post. But frankly speaking, I didn't find much potential in this 6% of interest where I might get 9-10% yearly from holding it in the bank too. But for me holding in another wallet to get 6%, I would be friendly with my wallet to hold it. And I believe if I am able to hold bitcoin for 4-5 years, I can get even more profit, excluding the 6% interest. And what about the bitcoin seed, also known as the private key?Yes, I owe my own. Whoever is going to share it with others, Will you? By the way, thanks to this post, I got information about bitcoin interest.

I am not excited at all with Tron updates especially that Tron 4.0, I am much excited with the Ethereum 2.0.
There are also some big crypto twitter celebrities there that are bashing or making fun with Tron 4.0 of Justin Sun on Twitter. Comparing Tron to Ethereum is the dumbest thing in cryptocurrency, Tron is extremely far away with Ethereum.
Remember the issue of Tron's Whitepaper that there is some part there that are copied from Ethereum's whitepaper?
