2802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me a reason why I should use online wallet. on: July 14, 2020, 08:12:23 AM
Maybe because they fell from ignorance on how to secure their funds in the first place thus exchanging the security and privacy for accessibility and ease of use. It is not surprising that many people became a victim of wallet hacks, clipboard malware, phishing etc., because they are lazy enough to do their homework. However, the only thing you can do is to educate them without forcing them these info into their throat  Wink

In fact, you can even use cold wallet for day to day spending.
2803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTMs BRIDGE on: July 14, 2020, 07:49:26 AM
I guess that you mistakenly transferred your FTM to a wallet without coins swapping them to the native Opera token and unfortunately that is how their system works. You should at least consider making a review before transferring this type of token in which it has the same initials of address in ERC-20.

How to use the Fantom Bridge

As far as I know, there is nothing you can do to claim those tokens.
2804  Economy / Services / Re: Painting services ✨ on: July 13, 2020, 12:45:43 PM
One of the most important part when selling an artwork is to make sure that the piece will not going to be distorted after a few months or years of age after the buyer receives your artwork.

Since you are using acrylic and oil painting, it would be better to use "fixative" for your artwork to protect your artwork from being scratched. Using fixative also maintain and improves the vivid colors of the oil paint you applied to your canvas. I've been using that clear spray for about few years now for my Graphite and Charcoal drawing to achieve a long lasting quality of the artwork they've commissioned to me  Wink

Fixative Comparison: https://www.jacksonsart.com/blog/2014/08/29/fixatives-are-not-all-the-same/

Just a heads up, accepting BTC or any other top cryptocurrency would be a good idea if you are selling services here. Nice meeting a cryptoartist here.
2805  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is ipayyou.io legit? on: July 13, 2020, 12:03:24 PM
Tried a little bit of research in terms of user reviews and fortunately I think I have found some legit rating at [1] https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/ipayyou/.

Lack of credibility, transparency. Customer service is very very poor. I was told my transaction would be on 7/13, but it actually arrived on 7/15 2 am EST. Because the delivery was late, I lost almost $100.00 since the bitcoin dropped. When I brought my complaints to their attention, they said there was nothing they could do. Full of corruption, deception, and dishonesty. I strongly recommend people not to do business with ipayyou because they're not accountable even when they made mistakes. Not even a half star in my view. Can't stress enough how BAD ipayyou is. I will SHOUT OUT to anyone who would listen before they think about doing business with this company.

The fees are high, the transactions can take days to complete, and the service is poor. One star for you!

Or see for yourself. Try buying at least $10.00 worth of giftcard or just stick with using bitrefill.
2806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocoinopoly - Do you consider it a good idea? on: July 13, 2020, 11:43:57 AM
I think that turning this into a gambling game will not the a good move.
Same thoughts especially the game involves a large amount of cryptocurrency that is similar to the amount used in real life and in the actual game. Still, this is a good concept for experimentation.

I remember the game monopoly has something similar to Rich Dad Poor Dad: Cash Flow Game wherein it teaches you on how to manage your finances well in real life.

Looking forward play your game  Smiley
2807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 13, 2020, 08:23:11 AM
Here in Gambling. There is nothing you can compare other than Gambling thread when it comes to reviews and news in different gambling/ casino sites.

Some of the website that offers reviews are more likely vulnerable to paid fake reviews which leads to fraudulent activities. You can also find new casino that pops out in the industry in Services Section.
2808  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best and most important books that help beginners learn the field of encrypt on: July 13, 2020, 07:54:11 AM
I searched for a topic related to books in the forum, but I could not find it, so if you have a topic that contains important and useful books, I hope you provide me with a link to share so that I can read and benefit from it.
I made a thread that lists of bitcoin and trading books that can be used as an educational resource for beginners and experts alike. I hope this may be useful for you; the link below is currently stored in my google drive so that everyone can freely download them.

[RESOURCES] Free bitcoin/blockchain/finance eBook.

Just a heads up, I can't understand the link due to the use of different language.  Huh
2809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help. bitcoin confirmed but recipient not received on: July 13, 2020, 07:41:02 AM
If your transaction has been confirmed as shown in blockexplorer then there is nothing you can do or the company to reverse the transaction back to your wallet because of irreversible nature of proof of work. The only factor that it will be return to the wallet address you're sending from is when it has low transaction fees in which the tx will get stucked and eventually drop from the mempool.

Also, beware of such cloud mining schemes. Most of them are not worth trying for.
2810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 11, 2020, 08:57:17 AM
Maybe I still didn't explored the vast choices of other crypto gambling sites yet since I only played dice in YOLOdice and it happens that bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that I have used to gamble when I received my weekly payment.

This may be too subjective to discuss if we are going to choose cryptocurrency based on their volatility and transaction fee. But I don't think that choosing which crypto to be used will matter as long as we are making profit along the process.

Hoping that gambling sites will implement lightning network to at least decrease the withdrawal fee in bitcoin.

Goes to show that you aren't safe from martingale. Ain't no strategy that beats the house in the long term. Good luck to everyone that's trying though! Luck is what you need.
Me too! I have lost 0.01 BTC after 1 roll with 93% win probability.

There is no such thing as strategy in dice. However, even if there is no working strategy, people has the advantage to take over the so called "money management" and "knowing when to stop playing".

Last week, I have a capital of 0.01 BTC and luckily, it happens that I manage to gain 0.04 BTC only in a matter of few days. Combining your luck, money and emotion management will reduce the risk of losing  Wink. Learned it the hard way.
2812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it beneficial for the crypto casinos to add stable coins? on: July 10, 2020, 08:03:16 AM
In terms of volatility, yes, USDT allows their players to be somehow invincible to the high volatility rate of bitcoin and any other altcoins such as ETH, DOGE, etc..

But how about the governing body who makes USDT or stablecoin become prone to freezing if such user reluctantly gamble such large amount of money exposing the site as a hot reservoir for central authorities. Isn't it that it defeats the purpose of using cryptocurrency in which gambler/crypto gamblers has the ability optimize their privacy and secure their coins knowing that most of the gambling site does not require KYC.
2813  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Ledger Nano X Firmware Update on: July 08, 2020, 10:15:33 AM

I am no Ledger Nano X user but they added an enhanced security and UI update!

Security Enhancements and Further Additions

The largest reason for this firmware update is a patch to a minor vulnerability. Now rest assured that your recovery phrase, private keys and funds are not at risk. The vulnerability targets the MCU chip, while the security of the Ledger Nano X is based on the Secure Element (for storing critical data like your recovery phrase / PIN). Since the Secure Element is not impacted, your funds remain secure – even without performing the firmware update. The firmware update brings an update to the MCU chip to help in mitigating this. It also includes an enhancement to the Secure Element, which will now check the authenticity of the code running on the MCU. The two combined fully patch this vulnerability. Should you prefer to have a more detailed version of this vulnerability and security patch, we recommend checking out this article.

Some further additions include:
  • Added mandatory regulatory information in the device’s settings menu
  • Added cryptographic support for the Stark 256 curve. This will allow the support of Starkware applications.
  • Added cryptographic support for the BLS12-381 curve

Major UX enhancements

We have improved the update flow for the Ledger Nano X. With the Ledger Nano S, users had to disconnect and reconnect their device at least once in the process. This will not be the case for updating your Ledger Nano X.

For another, apps that were installed on your Ledger Nano X prior to the firmware update will be automatically uninstalled and reinstalled. This major UX enhancement will be a huge timesaver to our users, as well as it now being a fully automatic process.

2814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WALLET] Choose the best wallet suitable for your needs. on: July 08, 2020, 09:54:03 AM
Next, we have the features you are want to have if this is a supported by the Bench32, Segwit or just the legacy address.
bech32 (starts with bc1) and it is also another type of segwit address called native segwit address.

Just an addtional resources that I personally use when choosing bitcoin wallet is Extensive Bitcoin Software Wallets Feature Comparison. That spreadsheet created by https://veriphi.io/en offers a wide range of bitcoin wallet with different metric comparison based on security, usage etc..

For me, the best wallet that I have used is still electrum especially when they release the newest update that supports Lightning Network  Grin. While it is a non-custodial wallet, it also supports the most basic functionality of a bitcoin wallet such as pay-to-many, coin control, RBF and manual fee selection  Grin.
2815  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest, ETH Number Hunt Competition just started! on: July 08, 2020, 07:20:25 AM
I liked the design of your site. It has a useful and easy on the eyes. Is it possible for you to define a small amount of money for new users for new users who are not likely to invest or want to try your site?
Try creating an account in YOLOdice and then head over to the faucet page found at the "Play" tab. As for their (Frequently Asked Questions)

New players can claim faucet 10 times in 24h period. If you have at least one deposit with at least 0.01 BTC you can claim 50 times per 24h.

When checking how many times you claimed the faucet in 24h period is calculated per user and per IP.

The faucet amounts you can get depends on your level and usually range from 100 satoshis to 5000 satoshis. Every time you level-up the faucet amount increases.

If you connect from certain IP ranges (like VPNs) and your level is low, your faucet can be limited. We are sorry about it, but had to do this in order to prevent abuses. Good news is that once you level-up, this restriction does not apply to your account anymore.

2817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Victim in need of help! on: July 07, 2020, 03:15:18 PM
That is not how bitcoin ATM works! bitcoin ATM will scan the QR code of the receiving address of the user and let the buyer insert their paper money in which it will show automatically the inserted amount of papermoney and the equivalent amount of bitcoin to be sent to your bitcoin wallet.

Is that a legit bitcoin ATM in the first place? Showing the "private key" from the screen of the ATM is weird! The only time when ATM will show a QR code is when you are going to sell your bitcoin.  Huh
2818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A massive daily jackpot lottery on: July 07, 2020, 02:36:26 PM
Blockchain based lottery? Isn't it similar to the other existing projects cryptocurrency online gambling site similar to freebitco.in and the newest signature campaign above my reply which is Crypto Lotto?

Blockchain simply means that they are operating their gambling services using cryptocurrency is it not?
2819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The advantage in being part of this forum on: July 07, 2020, 12:57:17 PM
An approximate PHP 96,000 is a significant amount of money here in our country LOL! and an average salaryman would take few months to regain that loss. It's unfortunate that he needs to pay a huge amount of money for his money lesson that he will never forget throughout his life.

Discuss to him that there is no such thing as an "easy money" even if he is boastful to what he knows. The only thing that exist to investment that claims "doubling of capital" is "invest to get little to none of your investment" and "GIVE me your money, then I am AWAY".
