This is impossible to launch a secure 100% PoS currency without distribution of all coins at once. Code like bitcoinj (written in java) doesn't even cover wallets and mining and its like 20 times bigger than the code we find here for NXT.

No. This is an innovative cryptoplatform where payment transactions is just 1% of all the features. I don't see any specialized libraries for networking (i.e. Protobuf etc).

4. I think the new QT with bitcoin trading in the Nxt client would be awesome. Nxt could act as a bank where as bitcoin the cash we carry around (hence we don't carry a tons of cash around, as most of our money is in the bank). Since bitcoin network is vulnerable to 51% attacks. So a future usage of both these cryptos can act as a bank and spending money?
Sorry, but there can be only one. Bitcoin or Nxt, not both. wow, it is THAT serious then, eh?  my idea is, a few coins can co-exist, just like there are many brands of cars, many brands of wine, etc. and compete on a healthy basis, of course there'll always been some maniacs trying to compete unfairly. I'm not against Bitcoin. Bitcoin early adopters r against Nxt. AND miners AND big investors - I bet SecondMarket and Winklesvie are not very happy to see what's coming NXT... |

Well I'm not the author of NXT nor American.
I'm the founder of DGEX and nextcoin.org, and this thread concerns DGEX the exchange, not the viabilitiy of NXT itself.
Regardless, I don't see suggested scam anywhere. I only see pouring out negativity arising from hesitation / envy / lack of courage or resources.
This does not answer my question. If you're not the founder of NXT, then you may be holding a large stake in it (maybe you were given a lot of NXT just for the job and to keep quiet), and by creating these websites you're 'pumping' it'. Now cause the coin is gaining on popularity (cause of false inflated prices as shown in the websites made by NXT holders), it may be listed in more popular exchanges and have a good price.. More suspicious is the fact that you made a separate exchange instead of requesting the existing ones to add the coins possibly cause they refused to artificially inflate the prices (or duping investors).These sound like harsh questions, but these are real serious questions which need to be answered in order to prove the coin is not a scam. After I'm satisfied, I may invest. How can an exchange prove btw that it is not doing dirty tricks? I mean how r u sure that cryptsy, btc-e (let me laugh), bter, the second biggest chinese exchange which name I forget and inflated LTC BTC prices, and not let me even start about mtgox.. But I will save you some time mate because I like you, NxT is an elaborate scam move elsewhere (maybe Dogecoin or Quark  ) and don't waste your time and money here... Basically what you're saying here is that -- "I trust Jane to make me an ASIC miner instead of AMD/Intel/Nvidia, that's why put my money on her." But still I'll answer. Because they're large exchanges; the probability of them doing such a scam is less. People trust them. Their business is large, they require large payments in bribery which's something hard to do. dgex exists for the purpose of NXT and you're saying they're not related? For some reason you cannot imagine the fact that the founder of NXT and dgex have agreed to inflate the prices. Yeah one thing -- the trade history should be made public and the trades should correspond to the transactions in the block explorer. But there's no list of buy and sell orders even, it's just a graph of the prices. No comment - you are so naive sorry. |

Richer get richer, poorer get poorer. No, this is incorrect. The rich get richer easier than the poor. The "poor" still earn NXT. It's just less noticeable. Basically like in the real world. Not just, not fun, but basically a fact of life. If you come into cryptocoins to get rich without investing (be it money, time, efforts or ideas) you will not succeed. I'm not using Windows but I suppose that you need to put it in the command line window (Start/Run/cmd). The -Xms and -Xmx aren't necessary but should help with memory allocation.
I have changed the start.bat to "java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar start.jar". Now when I open 7875, and unlock, a new address appears, with balance 0Nxt, and the last block is 23923. Have you done that in new folder and with 0.4.4 version? Yes, it's 0.4.4 version. In new folder? Yes, I deleted the previous Nxt folder and unzipped a new one. Then I don't know.  Like always does - until there can be only one (Singularity). Only chance is if the Singularity is 666 and Jesus come-from-beyond to kick his ass!! Merry Christmas!! lol |
