2801  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Bitfinex hack on the economy on: February 19, 2022, 12:18:12 PM
The whole of the Bitfinex Sega is a big blow on the entire game as most people believe is not an outside job as the whole hack process went on a smooth manner until all the coins were moved to a private wallet and even some percentage of that amount was transferred and converted.

I don't think this hack will have any negative impact on the economy be it decentralized or centralized economy, the amount stolen can morale much effect on the general cryptocurrency market.

with a market capitalization of almost $2 trillion, this amount will not affect the global market in any way. The impact can only be at the level of the exchange that was robbed, reputational losses, but nothing more. Again, only the exchange was compromised, not the crypto algorithms. In a word - everything is quiet, everything is calm, there was an ordinary "pickpocket"

Indeed it will not affect the market since the evildoer will not dump all those stolen amount in bulk they dump it little by little so that people will not notice their illegal activities done recently. For sure they already plan their exit so expect those amount might be seen once this issue sink and replace by different one so for worrying about the possible dump well in my opinion we don't need to worry about that.
2802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 19, 2022, 10:25:04 AM
I'd actually be interested in seeing a Warriors and Lakers matchup in the playoffs. The views would be insane and the energy would be crazy in both courts. When Stephen Curry,Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant involved in the game, you know its always an iconic game.. Cool

Durant is already on the Brooklyn nets but GSW young players are well covered his role and they are currently having a good stats on there regular season since Klay Thompson returned. I don't know if Lakers can really gave them a good match since Lakers is struggling to get there teamwork work properly and play there role properly but if LeBron manage to use his team mate properly base on there skills then they might have a chance to give a good performance against any strong team.

It can really be good in paper, but in actual game? we all know that GSW has all the advantage in this game. Still good to relived James vs Curry NBA finals though, but it is a different team now and as you have said, the Lakers are struggling and they might not even make it to this years playoff. But let's enjoy the All Star Weekend, the games are going to be exciting, the 3 points and slam dunk hopefully will be very competitive.

For what record got by Lakers got it give them more lesser chance to get a spot on playoffs. They are struggling so much this season and by the absence of Davis will add huge burden to them.

But you are right maybe lets forget that rivalry for now and its better to focus the upcoming All Star game which I think more exciting to watch. I'm for team Lebron since he got a good starters drafted on his team.
2803  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When I first heard of Bitcoin and How it scared me on: February 18, 2022, 11:51:09 PM
You are just placed at the wrong platform when you first heard about it and what you experience from the past can be a good learning experience to you, also since you encounter that already then maybe this is your indicator that you can't trust anybody on internet. Also remember this always there's no people or a group will give you a profit for just handing them a money for long period of time since if they are really earning they will keep that for theirselves and will not share to anybody on what they are doing only scammers promise to give you a good return of investment if you trust them especially when they ask more higher amount of money.
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still not satisfied with crypto games on: February 18, 2022, 10:49:23 PM
Getting bored with crypto gaming projects, I'd like to make money out of something fun to play but with crypto games it's really about the money you will make out of the games, I've not seen real good game Devs utilizing the power of blockchain or maybe it's my taste of games that im used to, I just still prefer spending more time on my Xbox than crypto games because it's more fun than crypto games

Everyone has their own taste. The purpose of those who play crypto games is to earn money, so whatever the game, there are a lot of users in those games. The current state of crypto games will change a lot in the near future as developers will continue to develop those games. You don't like games, maybe you don't need to earn money. But there are a lot of people in the crypto market who take the right opportunities at the right time.

We are now seeing the games evolving and the play 2 earn game agenda is now spreading so for sure in future we can see big companies will adopt this concept since as what Axie achieve for 4 years of running for sure this will be the basis of other game developer to adopt this system. And maybe in future we can see this made by means of living by other people especially when top companies are already create their own p2e systems with sustainable economy inserted.
2805  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Warning] luckyfish.io is CLOSING on: February 18, 2022, 02:00:25 PM
Three months has passed, and still no updates. Maybe they still need some time to prepare whatever it is that they intend to do upon relaunching. And that being said, maybe this relaunch would be the time for the implementation of the improvements with their site and services. Nevertheless, it is highly appreciated that even with their closure happening, they kept the withdrawal process continuously open.

3 months no update means they don't have plan to launch their site back so I guess its time to move on for other who played this site before since for sure they provably not announce its closure if they have plan to comeback here. If they do that just for marketing well maybe they are doing a wrong thing since for sure there existing gamblers will flew away to other more reliable casino.
2806  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 18, 2022, 11:52:36 AM
As we know at the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin decreased due to entering a bear market because of the new year.
But now bitcoin continues to decline again due to Russia's war with Ukraine.
In your opinion, is this the reason the bitcoin price keeps dropping, sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down again.
Because there is a new issue that says that there is no war between Russia and Ukraine but the American mind.

Not totally maybe those things happen because many people expect to much that the market will go more higher, that's why many got dismay when market begin crashing and that when the fuds start. And also this incident in Ukraine add the fud but manipulators cannot use this incident for long time so prepare to buy some if you want to earn on this current manipulation event happen these days.
2807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 18, 2022, 10:32:36 AM
Hopefully they will not sell the franchise to SMB or MVP group since it will kill more the league since for sure there's another independent team will leave the league next to alaska. And just wondering about what company got interest to buy a franchise on a dying and in balance league? At the high of pandemic for sure they struggle what alaska encounter especially if they are independent company.

As per the report, there are 3 companies that are willing to buy the franchise. Those are not named yet officially but rumor stated that it might be Chooks-to-Go or Family's Brand Sardines.

I'm just becoming curious now if there are more teams that are willing to buy franchises, it means more companies like to enter the PBA. Now that a strong company like Alaska retires, PBA should now be open more team expansion.

Alaska is one of the strongest foundations that the PBA has. It should be replaced with more teams to cover what's lost.

If they want to make the league survive well that is the best thing they need to do since expanding the league and open up more franchise can turn back the interest of the fans for sure there revenue will pump up since provably this will wake up the interest of past PBA fans who doesn't want to watch before since they lose their interest due to the obvious imbalance happening in the league. PBA should not focus on their current franchises since this will cost them a lot of money if more fans will not watch their league anymore.
2808  Economy / Economics / Re: Why many USA senator against bitcoin? on: February 17, 2022, 11:54:38 PM
We have seen there are miscellaneous reactions about bitcoin among US senators. On one side Colorado Governor Jared Schutz Polis announced that "his state will begin accepting Bitcoin for tax payments starting this summer" on the other hand Senators Jim Risch, Bill Cassidy, and Bob Mendez look aggressive against any step towards bitcoin implementations.

Some said using bitcoin as payments instead of US dollars will demolish the sanction power of the USA towards other countries. Do they fear bitcoin for losing control over the world economy or do they know the adoption of bitcoin will diminish the unchallenged sovereignty of USD?

Old man prefer old methods so expect that this new technology on financing system will not be good to them since they cannot relate on it and maybe they always look at its downside. Maybe in next batch of US senator if they elect new generation one maybe we can see a open minded people dealing up with new economic changes. For now for sure we can see majority of them prefer fiat over anything else in the world.
2809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 17, 2022, 10:52:18 PM
My favorite team Blackwater will be the next team that will leave lol. They are even almost out back then when their owner tries to sell the franchise because of that violation they committed during the pandemic where they do practice even it's not allowed yet.

I hope they should not leave. I like to see their journey making records day-by-day. They should continue that record that no team can do.
I think the other teams will also try to think about quitting. If the league is no longer competitive and it's always the sister companies that are facing or against MVP teams.
There's no sense for them to stay. One suggestion that I've read is that they should just make a new team but not anymore with the PBA franchise but with the other leagues like MPBL or any other league in the country that's gaining traction.

It's understandable why they took that way where they had to surrender their team and to give the chance to others who's willing to buy the franchise, Alaska will not be forgotten as they are already part of the PBA history. Other teams might as well follow that footstep, it might be sad but it is the best choice they've got because of the pandemic and the league is also no longer keeping up because of bad management. I won't be shocked if these teams will go to the MPBL.
It's not about giving chance to the others but it's about that it's the solution they can do for focusing their main business. As the pandemic has hit, they have to cut expenses although we're doing good now with the current situation yet, the Alaska franchise has already lost a lot of money.
With the recent news that I've read, there are likely 3 interested companies in buying the Alaska franchise and this was covered by the meeting of the PBA's management emergency meeting.

2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia's approval of BTC on: February 17, 2022, 01:02:04 PM
I do believe that crypto mining is going to benefit the economy of Russia. as lots of cryptomining Companies continues to move to Russia as their next location since they have been banned from operating in other locations such as China, I believe that it is really going to make an impact and will help the economy to keep growing in the country.

I wouldn’t really say the same of cryptocurrency itself, but the business of crypto mining is something that is worth mentioning, because I know for sure it would make an impact. So, they have really made a good decision by considering cryptocurrency and crypto mining legal in their country.

Of course. Crypto mining can bring huge taxation benefits to the government. China may've reluctantly rejected Bitcoin, but other countries are opening their doors to the "crypto revolution" in order to avoid being left behind in the dust. Russia knows how important Blockchain technology is in today's society and what better way to embrace its benefits by approving Bitcoin for legal use?

If I'm not mistaken, Russia is already the second-largest Bitcoin mining hub in the world. The Russian government can simply tax miners themselves in order to get a piece of the pie. We need as much countries into Bitcoin as possible in order to accelerate "hyperbitcoinization". Ultimately, Bitcoin will survive with or without Russia's support. That's because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant design. If it wasn't that way, it would've died after China decided to do a "full blanket" mining ban. Let's see how the situation further develops with Russia's adoption of Bitcoin, as US sanctions put strong pressure on its economy. Just my thoughts Grin

They just see what China messing on and they could earn with it if they adopt then make realize to china that they are losing a billions of dollars taken from the tax came from cryptocurrency. For sure if Russia will gather more power for adopting crypto then most provably those other country like China which ban bitcoin will come back and tink about competing with Russia on its adoption with bitcoin.
2811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 17, 2022, 11:22:04 AM
I don't think Ethereum will have a bright future if bitcoin doesn't hit another ATH. Bitcoin has a cheaper network fee compared to Ethereum. On the other flip, Ethereum utilizes blockchain technology for transactions, yet they have a high gas fee. Moreover, Ethereum's performance depends on Bitcoin.
Yes, it's true that if BTC can't make ATH anymore then it will make some other altcoins also not able to have a better value because so far if we look at almost all altcoins in the market their price movements are strongly influenced by the price of bitcoin except the price of meme coin which is where the price is influenced by hype and is often manipulated by investors who have large capital.

Because it was the well known crypto that's why many people look at it as a basis on how the market moves and certain people mindset influence others that's why we see a huge decline of altcoin market once bitcoin dumps. On side note I don't think ethereum would really surpass BTC since as you said it is also relying on how things go with Bitcoin and when bitcoin collapsed the top 2,3 and so on never jump over on btc so far.
2812  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 17, 2022, 10:28:23 AM
I consider bitcoin is anonymous. KYC maybe be a normal thing in the days to come and maybe more casinos will implement KYC for their members.

I doubt it is anonymous where there's a public lists of transactions and can track it from the very start. I agree with the KYC particularly that most of the gambling sites are regulated and it should be done at some point, if the users don't want to verify their identity through KYC they can either move to other gambling site or play to gambling site that doesn't ask KYC but I'm sure that it is not regulated and operating illegally which is way more riskier than playing on a regulated gambling sites that ask KYC.

If the big casino require this and they move to smaller one well they are taking the risk for getting scam by small ones since some of scam casino offer no KYC plus huge deposit bonus and feel pity for those guys who fall on this schemes. That's why choose what's the best casino and think positively on what they require especially doing Kyc since they adding layer of protection to its users for some regulations happened to them.
2813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 17, 2022, 12:53:53 AM
76ers got a really embarrassing defeat against Celtics last night by 87-135 home. As these two teams were really close in the standings, I had zero expectation about this kind of a result but here we are. Even if Embiid scored double the points he scored in this game, it still wouldn't be enough for getting close to Celtics. I'm looking forward to watching James Harden soon. By his arrival, I believe that this team are going to be much better in the playoffs.

The Boston Celtics got momentum right from the start of the game. They are hitting shots even properly defended. On the other hand, Sixers looks like in jet lag following the trade. They are not used to playing right now without Seth and Drummond who are already part of their usual rotation for long.

Not totally a problem as few games should be enough to be rebuilt again the chemistry they are used to. If James Harden will be fit on the team, no one knows.

We cannot see how different the Sixers is until Harden will come and play with them and we cannot expect them to be a good team for his addition since for sure they will work on their chemistry to see how fit he is in the system of Sixers. For sure many fans would provably watch his first game on Sixers because many are curious to know if Sixers made a right choice to include Seth and Drummond in that trade.
2814  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BetFury.io|⚡️ Meet BFG on Coinsbit ⚡️| 🎮Free-to-Play on: February 16, 2022, 11:25:02 PM
I feel like I'm going to stop playing DICE, experiencing consecutive defeats makes me very frustrated, by the way, which game do you think is more interesting? I have to try it to take on a new atmosphere, for sure I will enjoy it

No, it is not unusual to have 10 times losing streak in a dice, others have gone more than 20 consecutive reds in a row, or even longer. Even losing 30 times in a row is not that uncommon in the long run. Anyone who has ever used a bot and tried martingale strategy with a very small stake knows that sooner or later they will encounter such a losing streak.

oh I'm not very experienced and I have a losing streak of at least 10 rounds at the highest, it can't be predicted and maybe only fate determines victory, do you think a more relaxed game is betting on sports matches?

With 10 losing streak you already feel that frustrations, better to chill down and take your break, if you proceed the chance of being too much aggressive will lead you to lose more money, in regard to sport betting, it's more relaxing if you understand the types of games you will going to gamble, especially those sports that you are familiar, it added fun and entertainment while watching the game and you know that you have a decent amount of money at stake.

Frustration hit up when losing streak happen and many fall for this situation and they think they can win more if they bet double or more that's why we see some of the players lose their money for this scene because they didn't know how to chill out and be greedy to take revenge on their bets.

Well losing streak in sports betting is somehow avoidable so we need to familiarize what we are betting unlike on dice or any other type of luck base games well most likely this one happen so we need to cool down once luck is not on our side.
2815  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Sell the private key on: February 16, 2022, 11:03:31 PM
I want to sell the private key of the address that participate the tezos and cosmos ico, who wants to buy it?

No one will buy it since there's no assurance for buyer side that you will not compromise them once they use the wallet you sold to them and also I don't think there's anyone will get an interest to look for private key which participate on what you mention anyways. Maybe you should use that if you think its valuable since you canno get a sales for selling risky things here.
2816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 16, 2022, 11:32:21 AM
All these statements from Russia regarding the possible legalization of cryptocurrency, although encouraging, are still only words. And we have already heard a lot of contradictory words from Russian officials of various kinds about cryptocurrency in recent years. They think one thing, say another, and do a third. Therefore, it is necessary to wait for the adoption of specific laws. And the laws regarding cryptocurrency in Russia are still among the worst in the world.
They probably studying and see now the impact of cryptocurrencies and how they can benefit from it thru tax as well convenience in making transactions. Now that many coubtries like USA, Japan and Singapore allows it and implemented it there possibly ways that they can gain more by using it. Russia is smart enough to implement it with ways they know their government will benefit.

This is another source of income to their government if they adopt it and this is really smart move made by them knowing how huge they can possible collected om their citizens. The one we need to see right now is how huge the percentage they take to their citizen since if they follow what India did maybe this one will not give them positive result and this could create confusion about why they implement that rulings.

I'm saddened with the news about Alaska Aces retiring in PBA.  Cry
Have you seen the news about their retirement announcement just today?
It's been so long, when I was still young, I've been watching them. Now that I'm old they're still there but this news has surprised me.
After this incident what's next? independent team is slowly departing on the league and this is a huge loss for the league knowing that Alaska franchise is huge in PBA for sure other teams will think about quitting to since its undeniable that there's an in balance things happening in the league and this is a huge wake up call on PBA authorities since if they keep doing what they do these days maybe the only team will be left on that league is the MVP and SMB group.
2818  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — This week = all hearts ❤️ on: February 15, 2022, 10:52:34 PM
I use BTC for deposits as the fee now is not too high. Besides that, once I deposit, I do not use all of the amounts to play at one time because I do not play too long. So when I come back to the site, I still have some balance that I can directly use to gamble Grin

That reduces the fee of depositing and I do not have to deposit many times.
Same here, I frequently use BTC for deposits and one of the good things is that they credit the amount within a minute or two so you don't have to worry about waiting even if your transaction has a low fee or is taking a while to get confirmed due to network congestion.

Also congrats to those who won in the Valentine's giveaway and looking forward to the next one.  Cheesy

Provably this is the top option now knowing that network fee is not high compare before and I didn't see people talking about option so we can conclude that many choose BTC now since this is the top choice own by majority. This is what good thing happen now on BTC because we don't need to deposit now another alt to deposit and play since we are seeing it going stablenfor quite while.

I miss the valentine event here also with other casino and will look forward for next event to.
2819  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Binance action revitalize Nigeria community? on: February 15, 2022, 01:00:58 PM
Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange has restricted Nigerian users account to ensure users security and to protect the community from fraudulent activities saying is for a good reason. What is ur say about this.
Can this action yeild a better result?
Can Binance truly protect Nigerian community from fraudulent activities?
Binance is one the top leading crypto exchanges in the whole world, they're well known in providing selfless service delivery. In a situation where by they found some unsecured transactions, they will definitely suspend all the suspected accounts, because people use any opportunity to cheat, so if Binance found out this they will definitely restrict all suspicious people and do further research. I think they are capable of protecting Nigerian Binance users from froud.

Well they need to have explanation if there are counter action on this incident since if they don't have anything word to say after a heavy restriction for sure there imagine might stain for some bad things knowing that people always ask for explanation and will get angry for unexplained condition unto them. Binance has capability on those things since they are the rule creator and can implement this anytime.

any time there is a 5% change.. silly people try to find a news worthy explanation for it..

sorry but its not related to the ukraine/russia stuff.

its just standard market karate kid stuff.. markets go 'upp, down, up down, up down'
Best reply from all , this boost our belief in bitcoin that it wasn't really affected of the said incoming war from Russia and Ukraine but instead this is a Normal situation that the market is facing.

____________________________________________________________________

Lets reduce listening to FUD guys and try to find news that really evaluate the real situation and not just some news that obviously being funded by people who wanted the market dumped .

If we look at the situation more deeply we can say that its really irrelevant to relate the war to bitcoins because there are so many country who use it already and Bitcoin transaction will never stop by current happening in Russia. Manipulators just use it to scare people and yet they are successful. Maybe its good for people to look deeply and don't be scare on the news they use since as long as the internet work fine around the world we can say that bitcoin still great.
