For the record, I ordered 2 minirigs and would have no problem receiving 50 of the 60 GH/s singles or 60 of the 50 GH/s singles in lieu of them. Quite to the contrary, this would make it easier for me to plug the devices into different power lines and strategically put them underneath separate A/C vents.
Where you would probably have trouble is the USB wiring, and I am not sure how many simultaneous BFL devices an instance of cgminer can handle. It would be worth finding out.

Alas the client doesn't work for me! I'm on Mac os 10.5.8 Can there not be a version for my 'antiquated' laptop? It's only 5 years old! You could upgrade to Snow Leopard. Failing that, try and compile from source. You will need to install Macports first and the dependencies, probably waste an hour or two mucking around.

I guess you just accidentally copy-pasted the wrong address. Everyone can make a mistake.
No because it was two withdrawals 15min apart, and it has aggregated them itself into one. I have never deposited LTC on cryptonit, only FTC, and has the destination wallet open and painstakingly check the digits to make sure I haven't accidentally cut one off either end of the string. Also the transaction should have gone though if the destination address is valid, regardless of if it's the cryptonit deposit address, and it still hasn't.

I have just withdrawn some FTC to my wallet and the moment I filled in my google authenticator code and pressed on Confirm transaction I received the FTC in my wallet instantly. Shame to see that people are spreading false lies about this exchange, as it works perfectly, you just got to read what they instruct you to do.
Cheers
I placed a withdrawl, over half an hour ago for +4.83256568 LTC and it still says unconfirmed, and hasn't appeared in my wallet even marked as unconfirmed. So not everyone is have the same experience as you. Did you authorize the transaction with Google authenticator? Yes of course. When I look at the cryptocoin details for the withdrawal, it has replaced the destination address I had put in, with the LTC deposit address on cryptionit so it's probably stuck in some loop. So I have lodged yet another support ticket to mugen.

The system is a joke. I have had no end of problems, deposits gone missing that have had over 100 confirmations, then mysteriously appearing half an hour after I lodge a support ticket which is still open. I can't even find a section with the transactions in and out of the account. All sorts of nonsense on the screen, the drama getting Google Authenticator to work. My advice is wait for a better FC exchange to open unless you are desperate.

So the short story is, in my eyes, as well as in the eyes of others....BFL fell apart, raised their prices, and will probably be impossible to buy their high end devices...let alone the lower end ones.
This is the type of story where you have a rolling turd that just keeps getting bigger and bigger down hill. At each step BFL has always been one issue after another. To examine that for the last 9 months and not come to a conclusion that it is a bad buy in more ways than one....
It would be a great products to buy (well not really anymore) if it actually worked, and they actually delivered...but it just doesn't materialize en masse.
Thanks for the story, a potential MiniRig purchase Hope Josh could read this Avalon has all the R&D people and manufacturer contacts in one place, BFL contracted out some part of their operation, an integrated solution is always slower than a whole solution But I really think it's good that they don't have MiniRig offering now, this product will kick the difficulty to moon and hurt almost everyone's profit, very bad I would cancel all mini rig orders if I were BFL. There is no way at 5watts/GHs that product will work unless you have 3 phase installed, or they get some wafers done with fabrication way smaller than 65nm. In either case it's back to the drawing board on that one. How much power can you pull from a typical US domestic power outlet?
|
|
|
Neat! Do you have a kill-a-watt or some other way to measure the wattage draw?
No, I really should have one and where I live I am not sure where to get one quickly. Sorry I know a lot of people are asking how much power is it taking and I really should double check that. Whist you are at it, can you let us know how much CPU and RAM the running process on your computer takes up, so we can gauge the minimum PC hardware required to run the unit?

An easy bake oven is only 100 watts
My LED torch is only 1 watt, and your point is exactly?

|
|
Yup, I did too. So I'm outta there until things get sorted.
I deposited 50FC as a test, did a few trades and got it up to 90FC, now it's all kind of stuck, no big deal, I wasn't game to try any serious amounts on an unknown exchange.

It looks like their server is getting hammered. I'm getting an internal server error when I try to withdraw funds.
I'm guessing (hoping) it'll be cleared up in a bit.
Dunno, I might be wrong but the site looks like it's created in Drupal, it's not going to scale well at all.

I put a few feathercoins to sell order and now they dissapeared and I dont see them anywhere and can't even cancel my order... It was a half hour ago... Are the feathercoins lost?
As I wrote before.. avoid that website.. too many people complaining they can't withdraw funds! The buy and sell transaction lists at the bottom hasn't changed in half an hour, same orders sitting there even when I refresh the page.

I don't know how many people are logged into the site atm but it sure can't handle it, and the US hasn't even woken up yet! Disasterpiece I did submitted a feature request for email withdrawal as another option. I first joined that exchange when Freicoin was introduced and noticed that there were a number of users complaining about the two-factor auth. The email on withdrawal function would be welcome, that is what I use elsewhere and I can still setup GAuth on my email if I wanted to.
Are there any desktop apps for GAuth? I took a look a while ago and did not find any so use my mobile.
Are there any GAauth apps for iPhone/iPad owners?

it effing refuses to load....
You have to keep refreshing pages over and over until it finally displays. As for pricing, it's all over the place, it probably will be for a while as people experiment. There are some desperate to get rid of FTC, and some desperate to obtain FTC, so they will push the trading range.

I think the server is pretty crappy, I can't get far past the login. Gave me a warning about an invalid SSL certificate too. The https://www.cryptonit.net/user page just gives me a blank white page.

Have you every tried to place an order with BFL in BTC? It takes you to Bitpay which immediately converts your BTC into USD and pays BFL in USD at the current exchange rate. So these claims are bogus.
You don't know that. Even if Bitpay pays out their merchant in EUR or USD, the merchant can still opt to convert some of it into BTC for the long term. So Bitpay has no option to pay out the merchant in BTC? Seems like a lack of service... Bitpay can convert BTC to BTC, but whats the point? BFL could just accept the BTC whien you select that payment option on their website without paying a fee to Bitpay. Bitpay exists to convert from BTC to something else.

Of course I read your post, you claimed they were trying to stuff 150watts into the original single SC case and I said that you are totally wrong, that's not what they are trying to do and I stick by that.
5 GH/s = 30 watts 25 GH/s = X watts Can you solve for X? Now what game are you playing, you want me to work out where the 150watts comes from, I already no that the Single will probably consume around 150 watts, are you trying to make some new point or are you still trying to convince me that they are trying to put 150watts into the old case, or do you simply suffer from poor reading comprehension?

Yea right, troll away, it's about the same size as a Core 2 duo and it's heatsink/fan, which runs at 65watts all day. So the Jalapeno at 30watts is going to be a lot easier to cool.
Not when they stick it in a closed case with minimal ventilation. You mean the "closed case" with the airflow slots across the bottom and the fan that's as bit as a 65watt core 2 duo fan, maybe bigger?

"BFL_StevenM (Shoutbox): We are trying to fit the 25/30 in the original Single SC case with modification, but no promises."
What idiots. The Single case was originally designed for 20 watts, and that's a nice thermal envelope for it. Then when reality hit and the actual FPGA single output 80+ watts, they had to stick another loud fan underneath it to keep it alive. Now they want to cram some 150 or more watts into the same case? Idiots! Except that you are totally wrong, they don't want to cram some 150watts into the same case, that's why they have designed a new larger case for it, the topic of this thread. Did you even bother to read the quote I quoted? "the original Single SC case" Of course I read your post, you claimed they were trying to stuff 150watts into the original single SC case and I said that you are totally wrong, that's not what they are trying to do and I stick by that.
