2841  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian aggression against Ukraine. The world will no longer be the same. on: June 20, 2022, 11:37:48 AM
Just like what the title said, this is one of how the human civilizations evolved or things like this should happen for us to think of another way to be self-sufficient without getting any help from the current countries that are superpowers nowadays because when they are at war, they cannot send any help to us rather they just making things worse and they are killing the economy of some countries by raising all the price of the trades they are supplying and they reasons is the current war that going on in Ukraine. In our country, the price of oil is at an all-time high and it's going up more than expected, at the same time the products that needed to be transported from the other place are raising their prices as well. Now if the country that we know something like this could happen in the future or this will become a new normal, countries that won't find any alternatives will soon collapse.
2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: June 20, 2022, 11:14:04 AM
Bitcoin has broken the all time high of 2017 and now it is around 19,000$. The worst part is that even on these level, we are not seeing any pumps and look like price may fall all the way to 10,000$ or even lower.
Once bitcoin was at 69,000$, who would have thought that bitcoin will go so low so fast ?  Now what do think, where we are in terms of bitcoin cycle. I think we are already in th bear market since summer of last year and maybe the bottom/ end of bear market is near ?

I haven't had any experience where I am disappointed with bitcoins whether their price or the way how other people look at them but right now I always see some bad comments about the bitcoin's current price in the crypto market because they don't have the opportunity to invest in the time where the price was rising instead they are in this current trial where you need to have enough patience to take every negative news about bitcoins and at the same time ignoring those critics who are more blabbering about their non-sense when bitcoins price is falling as we experience nowadays.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 20, 2022, 10:32:27 AM
Looking back at OP's post, the odds for the title, seems kinda interesting. Of course it is very understandable that team with the best odds not getting the title or team with a low odds getting the title can happen. As far as I remember, my first post in this thread was about the odds for Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. I thought they were really not reflecting the real situation. I can see the Kevin Durant effect but it was very unlikely to happen. And of course, the odds for Warriors. If someone bet on them really big and win, that is quite a big success.

GSW is not that strong when they entered the Playoffs but in those games, Thompson, Wiggins, and Looney found their rhythms and went out for some great play to beat every opponent in the series and finally win the NBA championship. Nevertheless, they have the veteran experience and they know exactly how to handle such pressures that's why they easily won against their opponents. Maybe we will see them again if they gonna show such kind of play early this upcoming season and hope no one will gonna hurt before the NBA playoffs.
2844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DeFi still be trusted?? on: June 20, 2022, 09:29:15 AM
DeFi averages only to be reliable in the short term. I've seen how DeFi projects last only a few weeks and at most they will last for a few months before they disappear completely. If DeFi is said to be trustworthy I think it is yes as long as it works but we have to know that DeFi is not for long term.

Yeah right, they are like those coins who turned out to be scams in their later stage because, in reality, they don't have any objectives for the development of their project. Right now they are pulling their capital and the worse part of this bad strategy by those kinds of developers is they will gonna leave their investors alone but give them some false hopes which are not true. That's why investing in such projects is too many risks like those who invested in pump and dump coins, they know what to do and they are just gambling their money.
2845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin monetary policy on: June 20, 2022, 08:53:52 AM
Since most people aren't aware of how bitcoins work, I prefer for them to experience volatility first then they can decide whether to stay in the industry or not but when the time comes bitcoins will gonna be expanding its popularity, we only see a few of event where the volatility occur and most of the time it will gonna have a stable price like we had last year when after the bull run season. Right now is another trial and only strong investors that have already experienced such kind of scenario in the past will stay and gonna invest more later.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 19, 2022, 07:58:23 PM

Kuminga is good but he does not play the Center position, they need a center who can defend the paint and we saw that even Looney is not enough to defend the bigs of their opponent. They need someone that is healthy and who can play defense consistently, I think that's their focus for the next season to come.

Looney is fine he just has some bad timing like everyone else had in the worse play but right now I think they will go for a young guns Center position to further strengthen their team and win back-to-back championships. since they are completely back as a team when were they dominated the league a few years ago, They really need to train some new rookies to completely have a strong team throughout the decade.
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: June 19, 2022, 03:36:13 PM
Yeah, imagine when BTC will crash from $200,000 to $100,000: run for your lives, sell everything and forget about it  Cheesy

Such drama in this world. This is why HODLing and relaxing is the best way to handle these things. 1 BTC = 1 BTC even in 2140.

If you really have an objective to hold bitcoins for the long term, the more it goes down, the more you buy and gonna keep it for the later bull run or until the time you think you managed to earn a huge amount of income. some people who were holding from 2013 are still holding until now and they don't care about the current situation of the market because what's matters to them is the vision and objectives they have when they first bought it. the only people who are rushing to sell their BTC and panicking right now because they might use some of their savings to buy bitcoins.

2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deriving pleasure in gambling even while losing. on: June 19, 2022, 01:39:42 PM
There is no fun in gambling if you can not only risk the amount of money you can afford to lose, if you risk more and you gamble more, you will lose more and it will become a problem. There are psychological effect in gambling, you lose and you use an amount you can afford to lose, you are not depressed, if you lose and you are used an amount too big for you to afford to lose, you are depressed. If you see gambling as income, you can use higher amount for it and lead to depression, your friend do not see gambling like that is the reason.

I think the more people lose their money the more depressed they are as you said and some people know exactly how to hide it by playing poker face but in reality, they are depressed because they don't know where they will gonna get back money to play or how they will get back the money they lose. That's why it always needs to consider before spending on anything, people should better think about whether it's important or not because regret cannot become medicine when you lose everything you have right now because of a mere bad decision.
2850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you "trust" the most? on: June 19, 2022, 01:15:50 PM
Obviously, no stable coins can be trusted because of the obvious flaws. Still, when we are talking about temporary conversion when the market is congested, I always go for BUSD since for me it's convenient to buy it and to sell it by P2P, another choice might be USDT, and aI think I conclude with these two since I haven't encountered any problem since I'm using it before. When I need to rush to sell my crypto assets, I converted them to BUSD and sell them via p2p and when I'm using other exchanges, I used USDT for my convenience.

2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 17, 2022, 07:49:03 AM
Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors for winning the NBA championship again, though they seem like not battling too hard to win it, they really deserve the title this year because they also made history by winning it back without the help of KD and the others. They are not just winning this because of their big 3 but the whole team did their role to make it happen. As for the Boston Celtics, it's not over for them because this is just a beginning and they now have an experience of what kind of plays are in the NBA finals and I'm sure next time, they will do another big surprise to compete in the NBA playoffs.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the market rise in June on: June 17, 2022, 05:33:27 AM
Looks like this month is the reddest market of all time this year and no one knows if it's gonna recover in the next months to come since the crypto market right now is in jeopardy after some incidents with the LUNA coins. Now the rise of the market will be questionable and only those who are holding for the long term are the one who doesn't mind what's going on nowadays because they don't really care. That's why if you wanted to be less stressed in this kind of market situation you need to have a mindset like them. where you will leave the market for a while and do some work elsewhere to relieve yourself from this stressful crypto market. Maybe when you come back, everything will look good.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: June 16, 2022, 02:37:28 PM
An addict can self-exclude from a site, but then continue to use another gambling site. It is possible that self-exclusion can help to some extent though, but there are more to do in a way to restrict yourself from addictive gambling.it’s not very easy to control yourself from gambling, because there are many distractions to get through. It's similar to an addiction really and must be treated with care and recognising that this is a problem before it gets out of hand.

Yeah! it will result in something worse when they let it slide without looking for a cure the moment they felt it. But the addict himself won't really feel anything because of his delusion. that's why the people around him should consider helping him if they truly love him because prevention is always better than cure. Some addictions can be cured the moment they start to feel something strange for the first time and quickly seek some advice and consult others about their current situation and some others will turn into a worse situation due to a lack of consultants or they are a lone wolf and no one with them to talk to.
2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why I won't be buying top altcoins in this bear market on: June 16, 2022, 01:42:38 PM
Some of your arguments are right and some needs to be corrected. for the altcoins that will not gonna survive this bearish market, I'm sure there are lots of them who will also give up their project and be replaced by another that has real road maps to follow and have real teams to do the promotions. that's why we need to be careful not to listen to those who will gonna take advantage to promote their project and they will gonna perform rug pull, that will be the worst thing to happen to you if you fell into those kinds of traps.
2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: June 16, 2022, 07:12:51 AM

When you are the ones playing your sports, you'll trust on your skills which is why he bet so much too. I guess this is also what happened to the NBA stars who fell in same loss. It must be hard to cure such gambling addiction since he make a living out of golf sport, he is expose to this sport all his life. The only way I guess is to retire and if he still gambles after that, its really getting worse.

When you hear those stories where successful people mess up after their retirement, it's always not far from these reasons, whether it's gambling or drugs, and sometimes women because some of them are womanizers who spent lots of money to satisfy their desires. Now that they realized their mistakes in the past, some of them are late to fix everything back but the rest of the athletes that are still in the league, need to consider pondering upon these stories to save themselves and do the right thing when they are no longer getting money from sports industries.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing strong! on: June 16, 2022, 06:23:24 AM
HODLing since 2013, never sold a satoshi. The storm will pass and one day we will see BTC above $1xx,xxx . Good things come to those who wait. Losers deserve buying crappy fiat: money without long-term value backed by the banks. BTC is being too nice to the people: offering them so many buying opportunities yet they don't see them. Let them stay poor.

I appreciate this guy's perseverance and patience You don't hear this kind of story more often especially when the price of BTC is not stable and it mores going down every day. Looks like the people who don't bother with the current situation of the crypto market nowadays will be the ones who become successful in the future with their BTCs. Yeah! it's better to be safe than to say sorry in the next bull run to come because after all if we followed the rules on investment we won't be bothered by the current situation of the crypto market since the money we have in the crypto, is not really that important at all and we are fine if we win on holding or not.
2858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL on: June 16, 2022, 05:40:33 AM
My portfolio is a wide net. 50% BTC & ETH. It's fascinating watching altcoin behavior in this downward spiral. Some unexpected surprises... Braintrust 😉. I haven't invested more than I'm willing to lose. Though down about 55% I'm in for the long term. HODL !!!

Now, you really need to brace yourself and practice more patience since the price of BTC is decreasing almost every day. What we need to do in a time like this is to relax somewhere else without stressing ourselves with what's going on currently in the crypto market. Long-term holding is the answer for such bad scenarios and you don't need to panic when things like this happen today and in the following days to come. That's why it's really preferable to hold crypto in the long-term rather than waiting for it to bloom in a short period because that's when disappointment mostly occurs because crypto investment is meant to be for a long time not a short period and the best example for it is what is happening today.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 15, 2022, 10:02:01 AM
Seriously, guys, I wanted to see game 7 between these two teams because so far they've been battling strong with each other. We don't see games like this more often in the future, whether you swift your opponent or you are the ones who get swift, that's just how the last NBA finals were but this time it is different they kept winning on each other and it is really good to see if the Boston Celtics will force game 7 to make it like the game of their life and whoever wins that game will be one of the legendary NBA players in the future.

That's a motivation for you since most others right now are not really convinced about the long-term holding since the situation of the market is not pleasing to look at.  Maybe others will conclude their investment these days because they are losing hope due to the continuous decrease of the price this is normal for others who are here for a long time, newbies are prone to panic selling that's why they cannot find tranquility whenever the market is in red light for straight days. Patience is the key right now and you can always hold your coins in this bearish market by staying away from the market for a while to avoid negativity.
