I would like to formally inquire as to the status of my whitelist. I too am interested in receiving this high honor in the community and feel that it is owed to me due to my contributions to the community and this forum, productively and monetarily. I have posted over 4000 messages on this bulletin board system and although I met the required posting count deemed necessary by the sysop and am no longer constrained to the area of beginners, my status is not that of the distinguished "whitelist" elite. I do not understand this and I hereby formally request, hai guyz when can i haz whitelist?

Coin control? Client modified to return change to the same address? Are these all foreign concepts to the scamcoin community?
Don't show your ignorance scamterry. Read the forum if you want to know more about it. SolidCoin v3 is built on a new protocol, it isn't bitcoin sourced anymore.
what is this i dont even

You don't get it, it's Bitcoin dragging them down, it must be. Or it would totally be a success by now!
2843  Other / Off-topic / Re: Books - What are you reading? on: April 19, 2012, 12:08:21 PM
Some Tom Clancy book (SSN something or other). It's not great but keeps me occupied during my downtime working.
2844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: omg.... on: April 19, 2012, 11:43:36 AM

You would've been whitelisted a long time ago if all your posts didn't look like this. I've whitelisted several people in the past few days and intentionally skipped you because of that.

I'm extremely sorry about my grammars and my spellings. I'm not really sober. =/ again sorry about that.

Drunk posting isn't cool, just annoying.

thx for the info Smiley

Okay but then it was just an PDF which is not avaliable anymore..did the PDF already mention this website?

I don't know, the website was registered March 2010, before that posting so it's likely.
2846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: http://www.bitmint.com/ WTF IS THIS? on: April 18, 2012, 12:35:55 PM
Was posted about almost 2 years ago, but not much has ever been said about it as far as I know, so probably vaporware.

Sit down! F

There are a lot of foreign language speakers here, if you really have that much trouble figuring out what he means you should probably just give up now.
2848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fail when the block reward drops to 25BTC? on: April 18, 2012, 11:41:02 AM
Someone who has 51% or anywhere close to it will be making a lot of money, I have a hard time believing that someone would go to all that trouble, money, and time just to attack and kill the chain. More likely they would hide the fact that they even have that much to keep confidence from dropping. Just look at the recent mystery miner, had 15-20% of the hashing power, but the only reason anyone even knew about it was because of the 1tx blocks he was producing.

My on-topic Bitcoin threads get moved to Off-Topic without prior discussion. He just assumes he knows best.

"I can't stop everything, so I will attempt nothing, not even against those who do so openly and blatantly."
So can you at least do something to balance this? Like I said, maybe make protected chests invincible so there's a way to maintain liquidity without risk for those who don't use bitcoins? Also, make those chests infinite in size like bitcoin wallets, please. Also, make them accessible for anywhere on the map. Also, make it possible to transfer instantaneously across any distance, so if I get imprisoned I can wire somebody diamonds from my omnipresent chest. This is how you would create a balanced counterpart to bitcoin.

"Why fucking bother? He can finance a prison-break with bitcoins. Yet another service he can acquire without a single iota of effort exerted in-game.

Seriously, just give up trying to fix prison mod. It's going to become increasingly irrelevant the more bitcoins get used, except against non-bitcoin users. Might as well just toss it."

lolololol

It's a pretty big stretch to not call that off topic.

He deletes posts he simply doesn't prefer, without prior discussion.

I deleted your post because it was trolling. For the ones reading, it was the Bitcoin Tax Information thread. Posting "If you pay taxes on bitcoin you need help. lol filing taxes lol" in a perfectly good thread with information about paying taxes on bitcoins is trolling, and I won't let it slide with your history of derailing threads. Your repost was better.

There's a subforum for speculation as well, quite active generally.

2852  Other / Meta / Re: The Lending/Securities subforum on: April 16, 2012, 04:18:08 PM
Oh I see what you're saying. Lending securities versus just securities, didn't think about it that way.

18% of voters are the 1%. Seems legit.

2855  Other / Meta / Re: The Lending/Securities subforum on: April 16, 2012, 03:21:22 PM
I've noticed that we have a new subforum under lending called securities. I do like the idea of having it there, but it seems to have the wrong things in it.

In a securities subforum of lending, I'd expect to find primarily debt-based securities (bonds, CDOs, CDSes) and requests to borrow or offers to lend other types of securities.

It seems to be the dumping ground of most topics with [GLBSE] in their subject, which doesn't feel right, considering that many of them (shares/perpetuities) are not inherently debt-based.

Was the forum intended to be one level up from lending?

The threads that are there are intended for that forum, the original request was for a GBLSE subforum which is too narrow in focus, wanted something more encompassing. If the name isn't adequate then what would you suggest?

Based on the definition I found it seems to fit. I am no finance expert though.

A security is generally a fungible, negotiable financial instrument representing financial value.[1] Securities are broadly categorized into:

debt securities (such as banknotes, bonds and debentures),
equity securities, e.g., common stocks; and,
derivative contracts, such as forwards, futures, options and swaps.

Here is the other thread that prompted it.

I like it, specific enough to not be confusing and covers them all nicely at the same time.
2857  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Covert Mining on: April 16, 2012, 11:13:28 AM
Yeah I had the litecoin webminer working on my blogs as its more CPU efficient then bitcoin tho it was stopping some people viewing my blogs but it was hashing so took it off until it is more developed.

This is why I disabled all java applets on your blog whenever I visited...
that's why i have noscript on Cheesy

Indeed. And if I have to allow js just to view the webpage I leave, probably not worth looking at anyway.
2858  Other / Politics & Society / Re: George Zimmerman arrested for 2nd degree murder for killing Trayvon Martin on: April 15, 2012, 04:13:21 PM
Ah, but Trayvon was the original instigator in this matter, and he got what was coming to him.  He went looking for a fight and found one he couldn't handle, and died because of his own actions. No amount of crying, or "I could have been him 20 years ago" bullshit is going to change the facts of this matter. Zimmerman acted in self-defense after a premeditated assault, and the world has lost one more wanna-be gangbanger. Boo fucking hoo.

The only reason this blew up, and Zimmerman is being charged is because the media made it a race thing.

Kind of foolhardy to say he shouldn't have been charged, it should be sorted out by people with access to all the facts (courts). Only thing we know is what the press wants to tell us, and they want to sell papers.
2859  Other / Meta / Re: New GLBSE/investment child forum in marketplace? on: April 15, 2012, 03:18:44 PM
A quick skim of the first two pages in marketplace (past 7 days) shows 17+ threads that would fit. That is quite a few and maybe it is needed.

IMO "investment" is too generic. Stock exchange, traded stocks, etc. would be more suitable.

I think generic is better when it comes to naming subforums, makes for easier classification.
2860  Other / Meta / Re: New GLBSE/investment child forum in marketplace? on: April 15, 2012, 12:20:23 PM
not the first the request for this. however in my first request i thought it should include all exchanges, bonds and even mining contracts. the rule it seems is you need 5 threads but this died and i never got much of a response from the staff. i would guess they want distance from glbse and the like but i dont know.

It's nothing about GLBSE in particular, I just don't like the idea of giving one specific company their own subforum. Doesn't seem fair to the others. I did like your idea better, a more general "Investment" type forum.

Personally I didn't respond because I don't agree or disagree, but wanted to see more discussion on it.
