2841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: November 13, 2016, 05:00:00 PM
We are now experiencing the efficient, fast and amazing convergence of technologies which one way or the other greatly contributing to the rise of the cryptocurrencies and making Bitcoin as the King of the Hill so far.

Looking into the future...what do you think will be the scenario involving Bitcoin twenty years from now? Will Bitcoin be worth more than a million or will it ceased to exist? Or will a new crytocurrency replace the supremacy of Bitcoin...?

i doubt that bitcoin can ever reach a 100,000 dollar price let alone a million dollar. but i am sure that bitcoin price is going to rise up over the years and keep on rising as long as there is potential of growth in it and there are people new to join in bitcoin and start buying it.
2842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under 10$!!! on: November 13, 2016, 04:50:26 PM
it had to happen sometime, it is not like any altcoin can stick around long enough especially if their prices are high with a fake pump and things like that.

but at the same time i think this is not the end of ethereum, there is still so much more left in it to give, pump, and spread spam about replacing bitcoin lol. i am just looking to get in if there was a pump
2843  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and Silver Under the Trump Presidency on: November 13, 2016, 04:45:23 PM
it seems like Trump is planning on improving US economy greatly so it is expected to many things change in the country under the rule of Trump Smiley

and i think that is why many people speculate about bitcoin being a good thing these days and it going up in price.

- we can only hope
2844  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: November 13, 2016, 03:54:34 PM
some speculations about this time frame which is 5 years say that bitcoin price will be around 4 to 5 thousand dollars and that is the speculation that i mostly agree with because of the way bitcoin has been rising.

so if we say price is $5000 then to be a millionaire you have to at least have a couple of mil, in that case you need more than 1000BTC to begin to be a millionaire.
2845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the sudden crash now? on: November 13, 2016, 03:49:08 PM
$698 according to finex and as always a bit less (692) at stamp!

so i think it was some kind of panic sell and possibly manipulation by the whales or maybe even exchanges themselves because it was temporary and i don't see anything that is remotely related to this.

I am sad now because i missed it though ;(
2846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese miners rejecting transactions originating in the US on: November 13, 2016, 03:45:35 PM
again with the Chinese?
i swear to god everyday it seems like there is a new thing around here that concerns Chinese, and each time it is worse than the last. particularly this time with all the false information about how bitcoin works Cheesy

this always raises the question that why nobody cared when one mining pool ~3 years ago in USA had 60+% of the hashrate. those days nobody said USA is controlling bitcoin or USA is going to ban all the IPs which is really dump by the way!
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dubai accepts Bitcoin on: November 11, 2016, 12:08:29 PM
It's often seen that getting tourist to come is difficult and those that do manage to come often struggle with currency fluctuations, recent ones being when euro broke down, and in India news which is getting global attention Rs. 500 and 1000 notes invalid. In all this this is a welcome news that Bitcoins is accepted in dubai also now, cheers to the entire community.

Blockchain can ‘gamify’ tourism https://cointelegraph.com/news/dubai-and-norway-use-blockchain-to-redefine-tourism

the funny thing is that the article is not even mentioning bitcoin in it! so your topic is completely irrelevant and this is about an altcoin because they are talking about the "blockchain" which is only the technology of bitcoin which they probably are going to use to make their own chain aka altcoin and do everything that way!
2848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins with BitCoin Like Growth Potential on: November 11, 2016, 12:00:07 PM
there are so many altcoins that you can invest in and they can have a 100-500-1000 x rises and it has happened in the past too but they never do it in a long time. so forget about invest and forget as sandiman said. it usually takes a rather short time where they are pumped hard and then start dying because simply none of them has what it takes to rise like bitcoin.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best cryptocurrency to invest for 2017 ? on: November 11, 2016, 11:55:33 AM
OP said Cryptocurrency and no altcoins, so bitcoin can be option too right  Grin we will see on 2017 how high bitcoin price can be
One thing you should know is that bitcoin mining is no longer profitable for small miners only +10 mining machines and very cheap electricity can bring a roi for you.

But alt coins in the other hand still low difficulty and somehow stable price( those profitable ones) like ETH DASH MONERO and you can forget about zcash as it has no stable price and market.

people are rarely looking for mining in general. so apart from the old members who are already mining no one else is interested in it. and that is because of the fact that difficulties are high with the good coins and the rest are so cheap that it is not worth mining!

most people are looking for trading only! and i agree with your choices with the addition of LTC which is a good coin.
2850  Economy / Economics / Re: Mexican currency is dropping fast will they use BTC? on: November 11, 2016, 11:49:59 AM
Remember that Mexican Border Wall Trump had promised? And remember that Mexico was supposed to pay for it otherwise remittance payments would be retained?

Will the Mexican peso currency is losing its value on the market.

Will the Mexican population rush to use bitcoin as there currency is failing, or will shaken investors move there recent sell off into a stronger decentralized currency?  Grin

Mexico is not exactly known for their pursuit of technology and new things. they are not a developed country so i wouldn't count on them starting to buy bitcoin just because of their local currency is being devalued!

don't forget that this has already happened with so many different countries and they never started to buy bitcoin!
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2016, 11:41:40 AM
President Trump would introduce measures which will surely increase USD exchange rate. It means, we can soon see btc/USD falling.

Since President Trump is a businessman, he would definitely not ban Bitcoin. He may introduce some measures to TAX Bitcoin. Sad

the taxation will eventually happen and it has already happened in so many places so that wouldn't be a new thing and i wouldn't be surprised if i hear there are taxes for using bitcoin in the US already at work.

but i can not see how what you said in the beginning can change the price of bitcoin! because it has no relation with the price.
2852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The FCA Is Testing Bitcoin Cross-Border Transactions on: November 10, 2016, 12:30:47 PM
The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is currently testing clearing and settlement solutions using Bitcoin. The financial services regulatory commission has been working with digital currency operation Epiphyte, a firm that settles cross-border payments using blockchain technology.

https://news.bitcoin.com/fca-bitcoin-cross-border-transactions/

But are they actually using Bitcoin ?

"Epiphyte will work with the FCA to provide cost efficient and secure transactions, using a peer-to-peer protocol like Bitcoin."

if its like.... then its not exactly.

it either is or is not bitcoin, there is no such thing as "like bitcoin"

reading the whole thing. its just another sidechain that is getting tethered to hyperledger

it is never about bitcoin. the first couple of words of OP should tell you enough without reading the whole article. when it says The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, it has never been about bitcoin and using it and it will never be, they are all looking for taking blockchain (or the technology) out and somehow use it for their own centralized purposes.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: November 10, 2016, 12:23:18 PM
it is always a downward spiral with altcoins like this.
and there is always a dozen of new ones each year at least. they come in hot and heavy and then start to die off soon. and each year their prices get bigger and the volumes higher which only shows how much richer the altcoin pumping whales are becoming!
2854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin for signature campaign? on: November 10, 2016, 12:17:54 PM
only do it under the following conditions:

1) if you could get paid with that altcoin but based on its bitcoin value. for example if you are supposed to get paid 0.01BTC per week you get paid that much in that altcoin.

2) only if you can receive it in an exchange wallet and dump it as fast as you received it. in any other case you would be taking unnecessary risks.

* although there is an exception that if you by any chance liked that particular altcoin and wanted to keep it!
2855  Economy / Speculation / Re: The cryptocurrency bitcoin also jumped to a recent high of $738 on: November 10, 2016, 12:12:47 PM
maybe the market gets panic when they see that trump has get high vote and finally he can walk into white house and many people get wrong prediction about the election and make the price in the market down.

Nah, it has nothing to do with the elections even though people do get that impression since the price has gone up nearly at the same time it became clear that Trump would win. It's just regular whale play. If you're a trader, then you'll know exactly how to deal with these little jumps as it is easy money.

Looking at the current market, I have to say that it's more likely that we'll return hovering just under and over the $700 level again. Then it's just waiting till some traders get bored and lose their patience where they will start with dumping as result. And perhaps that will be another trigger for panic sellers to go nuts. One thing is sure, whatever direction the price will be heading to this year, there will be plenty of volatility for traders.

i agree, it has nothing to do with the election and Donald Trump but it is all about the news about election and what Donald Trump may do and help bitcoin. there is  a big difference here.

this is actually the same as the halving hype which happened even before the actual halving! and this is the same on a smaller scale.
2856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be a law on stolen bitcoins? on: November 10, 2016, 11:58:28 AM
apparently there has been no law that we could see being enforced about theft of bitcoin because if there were they should have started with all those bitcoin hacks and those were millions of dollars worth of bitcoin from big businesses like bitfinex for example, but we never see anybody get caught!
2857  Economy / Gambling / Re: New in Gambling, Need Help! on: November 08, 2016, 02:47:23 PM
well, i dont like dice very much so i'm playing at bitdouble, they have a roulette game and a very good site.
i'm also a poker player and for that a recommend you betcoin.ag, never had any problem there (with poker, i dont play casino there).

i can't say i agree with any part of your comment!
i like dice games and i dislike roulette, i find it annoying and slow!

but i love poker and because i love it i can never stand doing it online! it is horrible when you want to play a poker game online. you never see the opponent and it is always harder to play. also on top of all that you can never be sure if the game is fair or not because there is never a proof. you opponent may very well be a bot that knows all your hands.
2858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Trading Books Have You Read, Have They Helped You? on: November 08, 2016, 02:41:09 PM
I've only read two books regarding trading, I think for the most part they somewhat helped me create a good mindset when trading, but I feel as if I learned the most through trial and error.

The books I've read are 'Trading in the Zone' and 'Harmonic Trading Vol 1'

What books have you read to get better at trading? Did they actually help you?

i have always been a bit lazy to read a book, especially a book to learn how to trade! i was interested to read some resources books included in the beginning but i was lucky and found a friend who know some stuff about trading stocks and he walked me through most of the things i needed to know and from that point i never felt the need to read anything despite not being an expert and still being a newbie in trading.
2859  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: November 08, 2016, 02:35:41 PM
I don't have  any  investments  or   things  which  give me passive  income  but  im  really trying  hard to  make  one  but as we all know  its  not an easy thing to  do  because you  would really need  hard work and  money  in able  to attain it. Passive in come means   you earn  profits  without doing anything  which is a really a good thing.

Many consider trust trading as a passive income. At the forum, there are several proposals for the organization of such services. Maybe you heard about it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1432889.0

that topic you posted here is in Russian and believe it or not we don't speak Russian so maybe you could fill us in about what the heck it is all about.

although using google translate it seems like it is trading one particular altcoin and it is either a lending topic or it looks like an attempt to hype it up for a pump attempt to me! from what i have read using translator!
2860  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic sellers got flushed fast on: November 08, 2016, 02:27:59 PM
Or maybe panic buyers are keeping the market afloat until Black Friday  Cheesy

It's going to go up... the us ellection is insane no matter how it goes, hillary wins, it will cause a lot of frustration in trump camp, trump wins, it will cause a lot of disruption in the markets... btc goes up in any case.

You sure about that? I'm not so confident it would go up in either case. I'm not really sure the outcome of the election would have any significant effect on the price.

i would have agreed with you a while ago but i have been seeing a lot of talk about this in the past weeks that makes me doubt it.

bitcoin is known to be affected by the hype, and hype is what most people are talking about. it doesn't have to be necessarily a real thing.

for example halving made price go as high as $780, granted a rise was overdue but the rise of that size was unreal at that time and halving effect is being felt now not back at the time of price rise.
