2861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roller coasters!!! on: July 06, 2022, 03:48:50 PM
The market is very volatile in this month like a roller coaster movement, Is the roller coaster movement in the money market both the price of bitcoin & ethereum whale controlling it?
Probably yes but we can also noticed that some big players or institution are running out of funds and muat be due to some of their loans which run out of juice. Also there are some who take profits too and add more panic sellers who sold due to the recession that are happening and will be happening.
2862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a non technical newbie can learn about bitcoin? on: July 06, 2022, 05:31:40 AM
Hello, I am a nontechnical newbie with medical background. My coding or computer education is almost nil. I want to learn about bitcoin and everything in crypto. What are the suitable resources I can follow?

Thanks in advance..
As a starter you are in the right place since this is the birth place where bitcoin discussion started.

I understand if you are not familiar with the technicalities, as there are other tools or site like Google to help you search topics that are unfamiliar to you when it comes to bitcoin but just beware cause some links might be harmful.

If you want to be safe then go to this section bitcoin discussion. Just use the search engine of all the idea about bitcoin any possible questions that comes on your mind can be here.
2863  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to store your crypto coins safely on: July 06, 2022, 04:14:33 AM
Alternatively, to save time and money, you should use a highly secure exchange like [https://www.quidax.com/]. A hardware wallet's features determine the specific level of security it offers.
Hopefully, you will be able to make a good decision.
To save money? Or to lose some? Its am unknown centralized exchange. I would not use those that havent heard for many times or arleast on the top ranks. I understand if youll recommend at least binance, coinbase but a never heard platform is quite dangerous.

Hardware wallet are really good but if you dont have funds. You must rely on some that are far more reliable and not just a shady exchange.
2864  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Then what will happen to your account? on: July 05, 2022, 06:40:10 AM
Or will everything end there?
Yes as far as bitcointalk forum concern it will end there. The different account here is unique and youll find it conflicting to pass it down to your relatives. Its not an asset but just an account which is free and can be created by anyone. Its not an investment or business that can pass down. Take for it as a facebook account. If an owner of that account died, of course the account cant be used by his/her children since its personal. Think of it somehow just like that.
2865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu, Dogecoin Accepted for Payment by Food Delivery Company Uber Eats ! on: July 05, 2022, 04:26:05 AM
the news is good and the partnership is still serious, but it did not affect the price in any way.I do not know what other news should appear to rock the exchange rate, it looks like investors are already tired of these assets.
Prices arent meant to pump by simple news. We are in the midst of bear market and even a 10 or more news has been circulated it will only create a sub pump for a while. The ones we need to focus on is the adoption and the ways on how it can spread naturally. Many people got been scared due to massive modus in crypto and we need to turn their trust back once again that crypto isnt only a pyramiding scheme which happened on a lot of p2e projects.
2866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: July 05, 2022, 04:11:36 AM
1. How you found the coin
2. Why you believed in the project
3. Why are you still holding or why you sold
Through ICOs and some trendy hype on socials media. I believe in project cause I see a potential on what they are building and my instinct were right. I hold and sold some of the coin I gained a lot but of course, still finding for new ones that can potentially repeat what I gained but so far for now none. Its literallt better to buy low mid cap or down huge cap coins since its bear market and wair for a profit.

Not sure if I did a million already but maybe if I add some of my profits that I withdraw or spend maybe it reaches there already.
2867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 04, 2022, 02:41:28 PM
Compared to bank its more generous actually. But it has cons like mostly they mentioned it will be staked with certain period and almost same like time deposit but the value could go lower or worst way lower than its actual value unless you are staking a stablecoin which moves little frequently. Altcoins are very volatile its either you lose more than % yhan what you stake or eirher you gain a lot and will be basing on actual value of what you get.
2868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Kucoin help - Just signed up. on: July 04, 2022, 01:09:31 PM
It is not as simple as Coinbase by the sounds of it.

On Coinbase, I select the crypto I want and literally just press buy. I do not see this option on Kucoin.

Kucoin however I have to do this through Spot trading?

Oh I see, maybe you need to use binance instead. They have a direct conversion of token or coins from usdt without using spot trading. But actually its much easier to use a dex since you will automatically swap the tokens you wanted to buy. Why not try to learn the function of dex ( decentralized exchange) also its not a centralized so you wont worry on being hold up or locked of funds. Im confident though that the tokens you are interested with is listed as well on dex.
2869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Kucoin help - Just signed up. on: July 04, 2022, 10:07:56 AM
Its actually same almost With coinbase and easy to use. There are plenty of tokens on Kucoin that arent coinbase so creating one is quite advantage on your part. But make sure to create a non custodial wallet seperate from it to store your tokens youll bought on Kucoin as you are planning to hold it for long term.
2870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 03, 2022, 08:17:45 AM
OP meant scammers try to direct potential victims to an exchange to scam them. It does not mean that exchange is used for that scam is a scam exchange.
Yes I understand that. But why OP is hesitant using the connect wallet right? If the exchange isnt a scam then its fine right? Also the scammer didnt ask anything more valuable to the users which means how would he get scam? Meaning he also believe that the exchange is either compromise or shady as scam site too. Cause how would the scammer knew anything about his created account without access on the exchange? Just my speculated observation.
2871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 03, 2022, 08:06:39 AM
I decided to not post the exchange name so that no one will click it and save it to there history. It will be my conscience if someone mistakenly register on it due to this post so I preferred not to brought up here the name.
The warning on this type of scammer would eventually be good if youll expose a full details especially the name. I mean its not like you are accusing them, but since your post almost says they are scam then might as well warn others 100% by giving its name, you are already helping a lot of members to avoid such exchange. I dont know but thats my opinion. Its like were hanging by a cliff with without the name. Or might as well open a scam accusation thread about them.
2872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexican senator proposes bill to make Bitcoin legal tender on: July 03, 2022, 06:00:58 AM
Does anyone familiar with the situation in Mexico know if this bill is likely to pass? I imagine not much, although I would like to. The article states:
Im curious too whether this proposal will materialize. But obviously there will be opposition to this suggestion and likely turn it down.. But who knows if the majority agreed to his proposal.

If it does, it could have a big positive impact for bitcoin, as Mexico has much more weight on the international scene than El Salvador, with El Salvador's GDP being $28.79 billion, while Mexico's is $1.29T (source: https://data.worldbank.org/)
Yes it could be a big help or wide spread adoption instantly but remember that government is likely not to allow this.

In my opinion, even not now but later time bitcoin will be realize to be an effective form of currency which people can tend to appreciate. Anyway, like everyone says we are still early on crypocurrency evolution.
2873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 03, 2022, 04:33:22 AM
Thats really something at least post the name of the exchange so that everyone is familiar with the scammer hub.

Cause if he ask for a famous exchange then thats really a legit problem but for an unknown exchange whose name are just recently resurface then be worried already cause there is also a registration using a wallet connect which is quite scary to do. Anything that needs private key approval is shady and dangerous for anyone.
2874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: July 02, 2022, 07:27:38 AM
Trading can be a hectic endeavor must, especially for those who are not persistent in their trading journey, but those who put all their time and mind into trading will develop skills over time that makes them more stable in trading. So in conclusion trading is for the passive mindset and not for the laggy mindset.
Thats easy to say but not all trader didnt suffered any loss. Mostly got some gains but eventually loses too in the end. Why? Even though consistency is there, were not a fortune teller to make an accurate movement of the market. But surviving many losses is what weve called an expert trader. I myself didnt do much trading cause I know the risk. Maybe doing some scalping but not in the regular basis of I have quota per day to win a single day trade.
2875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking CRO - Crypto.com app vs defi wallet? on: July 02, 2022, 06:45:46 AM
I read that I can get a lot more staking rewards when done through the Defi wallet but just wondering if this comes with risks or if it is worth doing?
Yes it is. Staking design to have mroe rewards while using their platform or holding your tokens with them. Of course there is risk. If you trust the project then youll nothing to worry about. But like vv181 said, you must be aware of the terms and if its good for you then go for it.

There is no such thing as risk free investment so I think this is fine. Even legit one cant guaranteed anything. Everything aside from bitcoin is at risk. Of course there is no staking on btc so you wont earn additional coin/share from it only relies on its value.
2876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a DEX without having a token? on: July 02, 2022, 05:33:38 AM
I just want a website like that. It would have 5 chains for now, maybe add more later. It owuld check dozens and dozens of decentralized exchanges, find the best rates for you, and help you swap your tokens to any token you want with the best rate. And it would not have any native tokens because it is using other places liquidity anyway.

Is this possible?
Actually its possible. There are plenty of dex that doesnt  have tokens. Its only uniswap that uses a dex that initiate to have a governance tokens. But if you use other platform there are plenty like matcha dex and others too. Most platform like metamask employed dapp to their platform for easy access but you can used their swap feature alone. But the fees is likely high, so better use the dapp and L1 that has more cheaper one than eth.
2877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to do to keep Bitcointalk safe and to improve its reputation on: July 02, 2022, 05:18:02 AM
Nice input and indeed a good summarize of what should a user should do to make this forum clean and neat. Also while doing this, and contribute to the general welfare of members here, you can also gained reputation by means of trustfeedback for doing a great job in here. There are plenty of users here and so far only few doing such thing to help forum.  Like simply reporting spammers can help moderator indentified irrelavent or redundanr post. Simply like that you already helping in here.
2878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Almost all NFTs are scam on: July 01, 2022, 03:18:09 PM
Large companies and corporations are also excited to participate in the two fields of NFT and Metaverses, so I think it has a big chance in the coming bull season if it can survive this bear season.
If the metaverse and nft season continue and with the recent news of facebook meta integration. Its only a matter of time before other popular companies and huge corporation make their own system with the nft. For sure this will heavily criticize by some nft haters. But so be it. Its only a matter of choice anyway, when btc is becoming a trend some defend its potential. Now for those who are also into nft, they will defend the use case of this as well.

For those who are haters. Im pretty sure majority of them never use it but only hear the negative of it. Then talk a lot about it here about all the bad things on nft. Even though they arent touching or experiencing it.
2879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Centralized Exchanges and Government should be avoided on: July 01, 2022, 07:15:27 AM
I do not see the need for the use of centralized exchanges as a cryptopreneur, also considering their collaboration with the government, centralized exchanges are taking advantage of countries having in consideration the implementation of cryptocurrency regulations for their own interest/business growth and not for cryptocurrency adoption and growth, users should learn to remain decentralized.
Why do you think there is government? There should be an authority. I agree that crypto is best on decentralized space. However, can we stay that way forever? Sooner or later we like it or not, there are a time that they will really intervene to propell every major mistakes or wrong doing on decentralized. Its not decentralized is not good but take a look as well on those scammers who uses its feature for their crimes which easily escaping free and earned a lot of money from the people.
2880  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How certain are you that cryptocurrency will experience more parabolic bull runs on: July 01, 2022, 05:55:27 AM
How do you see the risk of cryptocurrency right now? Are you confident that cryptocurrency will recover, and when do you think that will happen?
Yes definitely market will recover and we just need to wait. There is no certainty but Im sure as Ive been staying for few years and Ive saw how the cryptocurrency go back or surpass its level. Its just need time and growth more.

Imagine someone completely buying bitcoin throughout the years and never selling. The supply shorten and thats what makes it in demand. In time people will realize this that most bitcoin are getting lower and lower.
