1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: February 01, 2023, 12:27:51 PM
Yes they definitely will always try to use anything hype for now. So AI related projects are the one we should be able to look out for. Even the meme tokens with affiliated with that will surely be used to make or feed more money from users. Well scammers are just a rolling gloves which usually exploit traders and users from these bullshit hype.
1962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are all beginners like that? on: February 01, 2023, 11:11:43 AM
Not obly beginners but everyone I think who invest in crypto are wanted to gain profits and eventually go to status of being rich. Lets not sugarcoat that cause who arent wanna get rich right? Everyone might deny they just want to be engage on crypto but without that goal is probably a lie.

Its not easy to get there but being involved in crypto might they think they could. But the problem here is their mentality that its look so easy.
1963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do not invest in crypto from loans. on: February 01, 2023, 10:45:50 AM
I really agree not to use borrowed money to invest in crypto because it has a big risk where we have to pay back the borrowed money every month.
In addition, we know that the crypto market is always changing and does not guarantee that we can always get profits every day or month.
Defi actually works like that. Its not bad if you knew what you are doing. I see some who uses borrowed loan from defi projects and actually like earning without using any of their money at all. Thats cool, but for some reason we kinda feels like its too dangerous, of course it is. Its just a matter of perspective on how knowledgeable you are to use that kind of method. Loan arent bad but make sure you know what to do.
1964  Other / Meta / Re: New bitcointalk rank? 🔥 on: January 30, 2023, 08:53:18 AM
theymos has never replied on this idea and likely he did not feel comfortable to deploy it officially.
That means its impossible to have a new rank and based on the discussion here, I doubt it will ever be deploy. But it seems some of the veterans are interested to have this new rank. The idea isnt bad after all, since we have something to look forward besides being a legendary rank already.
1965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be greedy to sell now on: January 30, 2023, 08:44:50 AM
Its not that we are being greedy but everyone has their own timeline and has preference to sell their holding at their desire price. Mostly users make a mistake by holding their asset too much that they are forgetting to monetize their gains and leaving selling again at a lower than their entry instead cutting loss. Fear really does affect the outcome of our decision and tends to lose in a situation we shouldnt do it.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So far so good with Bitcoin adoption on my side but I have question on: January 30, 2023, 07:49:03 AM
If you have knowledge on technical analysis then go on and pitch your recommendation, but advising them is a risky thing though. You might got blame if there some worse thing that happened on their money.

Maybe try to show and let them be educated on how bitcoin works in a simple way including the usage of it and how we can generate utility of it. The trading or investment part should be well explained so that they can grasp how volatile and dangerous investing on bitcoin and other cryptos.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 30, 2023, 07:23:10 AM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
If thats to happen then it could surpass bitcoin on its place as number 1 since moving shib to $1 is probably need a lot of money and imagining it could be at $1 is likely impossible. Marketcap wise, you could check whether its value on the real score of the project.

But lets be real, a meme coin isnt gonna leave behind those useful projects or top coins that are way more than useful than a coin having a shiba dog feature.
1968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about forum threads expirey date on: January 30, 2023, 06:49:45 AM
When is the right time or date to stop replying to a thread? I see where some complained about replying to thread that has been opened for a few months.

Why are some members not locking or closing their threads after they get answers off them? Only very few practice this on this forum.
If the OP has been answered already. If you will notice some topics are in a form of question and everybody response to it with different opinion, if the OP is fulfilled with the answers then he can close or locked the thread. Depends on the topic if that was has a specific need.

Thats the thing OP should always locked their thread if its already served its purpose. If he didnt probably some reported it so moderators can act on behalf. But doing or practicing it is a good responsibility for every users here.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's been your experience with IEO tokens launched on BKEX? on: January 29, 2023, 05:56:31 PM
Just looking over their history and looks very interesting. They apparently launched AVAX, but how have their other offering fared? Would love to hear feedback from people who participated in their IEOs.
Launched AVAX? Im not sure if they did cause the avalanche project has a public sale done on a different platform. They dont even did an IEO with popular market such as Binance, hence it would be impossible for BKEX to did one.

IEO is good and has potential to earn profits from early price participation but since we are in a bear situation, its not good to launch any. Even Binance launchpad are not doing a high performance for their recent IEO.
1970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tether and BUSD and usd inflation for long term savings? on: January 29, 2023, 05:46:32 PM
I dont want to risk it with buying btc and any other coins. Sometimes I withdraw usdt and busd by converting to my own domestic currency.
But holding money with usdt and busd is also has risks and plus usd inflation devalues the money over long term.
So, what do you suggest for me?
If you dont want to risk it then its up to you. The value of your stablecoin will be based on the value of USD which inflated in the long run. You can always sort out or figure out to put that money into bitcoin which has a fighting chance to increase its value. Im not saying its gonna be boom or 10x its price but a volatile asset which has a fixed supply would definitely be worth it in the long run.
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Banks and MainStream on: January 29, 2023, 04:14:18 PM
What do the big banks and mainstream institutions think of bitcoin?
They always tell a lot of stuff about bitcoin, some says its a scam but to others they are impress with the technology and popularity of bitcoin. Too many opinions that are mixing together which resulted to a more bullish and bearish situation for bitcoin. Adoption is coming but definitely must be oversee since the US are trying to regulate a decentralized space of bitcoin.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - Lending Collateral on: January 28, 2023, 09:01:50 AM
I still don't believe in DeFi's. They way too many ways risking losing money than gaining from them.
Some work efficiently and they just simply like borrwing their capital or should we say free money at all. Of course the risk is quite high however, there are some guys who can see the potential of market and use that in their favour and Ive seen so many have done this and really cool. But also some newbies trying this in a wrong way which lead to a negative result.
1973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My son, daughter, nephew wants to know about Bitcoin on: January 28, 2023, 08:00:24 AM
Moreover, another important thing is that in my country cryptocurrency i.e. Bitcoin is a completely government banned currency. So should we teach our children about the banned currency?
So you live where bitcoin isnt allowed to be used. Anyway as long as you can understand and learn bitcoin, there is no problem. Im just curious that they banned bitcoin inspite of heavily adoption going on. You could still teach them anyway, maybe the ban isnt forever and your government will realize later on that its still worth to utilize blockchain for finance and payment protocols.
1974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The truth about Terra Luna Classic on: January 28, 2023, 07:49:42 AM
Hello,
Is Terra Luna Classic recovering? Why does TrustWallet pay 15% profit to staking it?
Any idea welcomed.
Its the reward from their staking or possibly on the delegation on terra platform. I cant say that they will recover yet based on figures and imagine the loss of a lot of investors and traders that been shockingly dissapointed during its incident. Also there are some reported of suicide due to the heavy losses. The founder of this project should be ashamed of their strategy.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin with Utility or Coin without any Utility? on: January 28, 2023, 06:39:13 AM
The title really speaks a lot. Of course the coin with utility has an advantage over those display tokens with only hype as parameter for pumping. Newbies should learn it cause in the past most ICO doesnt have a utility but gain so much hype and thats because of community, influence and marketing. We cant blame them to jump the bandwagon especially many CTs are good to lure newbies with their words and simple but attractive marketing approach.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An honest discussion about liquid staking and liquid staking tokens on: January 27, 2023, 12:21:03 PM
Since there are protocols that are doing and using this method we cant say its a bust. But only trust those big projects that are serious within grasp of their offering. Dont ever trust liquid staking for newly launch projects cause its an onbvious modus of locking users tokens and adding it to their farm and giving privilege of liquid tokens. Well its still a 50/50 for me but it always been an upgradr to defi protocols that being employed at the moment by other known defi projects.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best exchanges to launch new coin on: January 27, 2023, 09:24:50 AM
I'm launching a new mineable coin called Stohn Coin and I wanted to ask if anyone has an opinion on the best crytpo exchnage to launch a coin for the best traction for finding new users/miners and for the best echange listing cost. Trying to minimize expenses but find a reputable exchange.
Let your platform be usable first and gain a lot of users. By this maybe some exchange might consider listing your coin. But if you are gonna target tier1 then maybe not applicable cause I noticed that most project got listed are either tokens or very mininal own L1 chain. Mining coins are listed somewhere else like gravitex, or not popular one but Im not sure though if its still active and working. Just my observation.
1978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need to get to the bottom of this myself on: January 27, 2023, 08:36:21 AM
If you are not a developer, I will advice you not to be tired of asking if a wallet is open source or not, you can just always create a thread on this forum to ask if a wallet is open source or not than for you to think a wallet is open source but not.
Or yet send the link of the website here and ask if its open source or not. For sure there will be helpful users will check it for him. But its quite better if we will learn to check it ourselves using attached links above. This isnt easy too but can be learn if given time. Just watch on youtube or check online some ways. For sure there are lots of reference too.
1979  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Source Of funds on HitBTC on: January 27, 2023, 07:15:23 AM
Oh amazing that hitbtc still alives until now. I really thought they are already closed their exchange. Ive once used this platform during the time I had some airdrop on which the tokens listed on their exchange and they got a lot of requirements just to do or perform the transaction like even the fee for the said transaction was too high and the interface was not so good and not friendly user. I guess OP you should not use this shitty platform.
1980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 04:19:36 AM
Because if you pick a right altcoin the potential of profits is higher than bitcoin buy the problem here is the risk since its gonna be much harder if the project ha a slow wuality approach or doesnt have any much edge. Bitcoin is known to be establish which lacks on certain altcoins especially some shitcoins out there.
