It might be difficult for you to understand, but not everyone is a miner.
It's also worth pointing out that lurking in a forum or a thread before posting is certainly possible. In fact some people prefer to read as much as possible before asking stupid questions. Perhaps in your case the noobishness in your first post (and probably many subsequent posts) of any forum you join is never in question and you expect the same to be true of others.

if the coin is going to be earned with playing games, what do you think is the use of crypto currency to gamers? (I'm not a gamer so..there you go..please explain)
Most of the people don't get paid for doing what they really love. Gaming is a huge market, there are millions of gamers around the world. They will be able to earn/spend XMN for doing what they love on a decentralized network, also will not be only mining "sustaining" the network but also playing.that's a good start...cryptonote coin mining through games..then we'll see what gamers gonna do with the coin... let's speculate... what are the possibilities of the use of the coin for gamers? 1.) betting 2.) token
As you said, it will be used as an in-game token, directly exchangeable to XMN You will also be able to bet which team will win ( if multiplayer) also "tipping", but that's only the start. We can also consider the creation of a marketplace for games that offer customization, for example skins . Also in Virtual Reality ( which are games already) you do have "backgrounds", "characters" , etc, 3D Models that aren't cheap, I will be looking at stores that sell this kind of stuff and who knows make a partnership. thanks for the input...anyway it is too early to ask great things in this coin.. let the exchanging (trading) begins... last time i check this coin needs block explorer in order to be added to exchanges. |

My point was that having a 1000 dash barrier to entry at all is silly. You don't have a financial barrier to entry when you buy gold, bitcoin, litecoin, etc...
and this 1000 dash barrier entry is competing with miners for coins since masternodes had been implemented (early 2014), besides it's a perfect place to stash the instamine. |

hello minorat26 your first post was already at darkcoin...and it was not newbie-ish what's your love story with darkcoin? you one of the fishy guys vertoe mentioned? what's the big thing? who nominated and voted for the foundation board? who does even know who are these guys? how did we learn about the foundation? from local news papers! the team listings kept counting names of people nobody ever noticed before. and they never committed anything visible to the community or the repository. and i was spending 25 hours a day monitory everything that happened in the darkcoin community for more than a year. the things going on here are fishy, intransparent and rely on a single entity.
the core devs were just a bunch of volunteers exploited for the big thing.
