Evan is really onto something here, the tools for mass adoption are well within our grasp. The solution is very innovative, and will make Dash tower over the rest of crypto in the eyes of the general public.

As we stand right now, Dash is a way better experience from start to finish than Bitcoin, and once the DAPI is established, we will have the interface needed to appeal to broader array of people. I call it a silk glove, elegant and fine, with the power of a locomotive under the hood.

There is another bitcoin conference called microbitcoin this weekend in Mexico too.  Free streaming too.  It is ironic that most of the presentations are microtransactions which can't really work with Bitcoin's high fees and slow speed.  They would work perfectly with Dash.

Yes, Bitcoin is going to scale with 3rd party gimmicks and gadgets causing centralization, KYC/AML, and businesses making a killing leeching fees off of a "peer-to-peer" currency.

I would imagine building scaling into the protocol and staying decentralized would be more desirable but perhaps that doesn't fit into the Block Stream's business plan.

Perhaps as a miner that will jump ship to the latest and greatest altcoin you wouldn't join the forum just to post about the latest coin you are mining. You hope that the "revolutionary" maximum emission of 1 million coins or "game-changing" block time of 45 seconds will send each newly released coin "to the moon". For others looking to invest their hard earned funds into cryptocurrencies, it is perfectly feasible to imagine that a new investor would create an account to show their support for a cryptocurrency that they seriously believe has the potential to last and do well in this highly competitive environment. Don't forget that Dash has been in the top 10 for long time in terms of market cap and is now back in the top 5, where it has also spent considerable time. No doubt there are many investors, it is not at all surprising that there are some holders of Dash who joined bitcointalk at or around the time of the launch, in fact it would be very surprising if there weren't.

That isn't scaling - that's scaffolding. A very different thing.

The bitcoin blockchain doesn't 'scale' because a new, proprietary infrastructure gets built to interface with the 'real world' because bitcoin couldn't. It disappears. That is a banking system. It's here already in the form of Visa and Mastercard and they can do it a lot better than the Lightning network can.

Nothing will please the banks more than having the blockchain buried behind a clearing layer that they can eventually get back in control of so that cryptocurrency becomes "just another asset" that may or may not form part of the capital base that may or may not be backing the meaningless numbers in your credit card account.

That may happen anyway but at least with a natively scaleable blockchain we don't need to pretend we're using it when we're not.

So you do believe Bitcoin is D0000MED, and sidechains/payment channels will hasten its demise.

How convenient for you that such FUD allows you to spin Dash's lack of RBF and CLTV as a good thing.

Thank goodness Dash will remain pure, and free from the Mark of The Todd!
