Glad I never stopped using this pool.  Wink

I am still 50/50 across my miners as they are still arriving and being setup, but more back to back like this and we'd be flying.  Cheesy

Hope one day my little workers find a block so I can be a proud daddy.
2862  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 20, 2015, 11:17:16 PM
You found a block with one of those or another miner?

yeah.. I found 2 each since last week..............

Nah, just kidding. I haven't found anything with anything, or anything... Grin
2863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 20, 2015, 11:04:29 PM
Is it possible to overclock the C1?

Not Worth it. You'll burn more watts that way. Heck even stock speeds is not worth running IMO.

If you get free electric then any speed is worth it. Smiley

Yup. that's why I have them. They'll be sitting pretty and quietly in a nice big server case soon.  Wink

For now they are my 'lottery' in the home office. radiator sitting on the outside ledge of the window (secured), temps are between 29-31C.  Cheesy
2864  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Splitting 2x PCI-e into 4? on: March 20, 2015, 10:55:34 PM
I decided to stop messing with the chances of frying the PS or cables, so I stopped using more than one connection per pci-e cable. Better safe than sorry.

It did work at lower watts though. At 550 watts it started getting the stock corsair PCI-E cables warm to the touch, bu they were hitting 275W per cable.

Thanks for everybody's input though! This is how we learn (the noobies like me). The search function of SMF forums are totally useless (I know, I have the same forum software on my Firearms site) so that's why I keep asking stupid questions.  Cheesy
2865  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Splitting 2x PCI-e into 4? on: March 20, 2015, 08:48:21 PM
I have a 750w Corsair running 500watts at the wall through the 2x pci-e cables supplied with the 4 connectors in an antminer c1. This thing needs 4 pci-e connectors for power minimum.

I run the sp20s in evga supernovas under clocked and dell z750s with no issues though.

I have to get some more evga psupplies. Lol.
2866  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 20, 2015, 07:58:09 PM
Also, anyone notice how jumpy the GH/s is on these??
I mean even at stock speeds, it goes from 700-1200GH/s constantly. the average takes like 24 hours to even be reliable. same across multiple units and different power supplies. Weird.

2867  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 20, 2015, 07:55:08 PM
How about undeclocking C1 miner? Is it possible to underclock/undevolt it to get better efficiency? Has anybody tried it? What kind of hash rate is it possible to get if you undeclock/undevolt to max 800W power consumption?

Yeah.

I've been doing some underclocking with them.

stock 074v - 1020 / 800w  - 0.78eff
200 07v     - 820 / 600w    - 0.73eff
175 07v     - 710 / 500w     - 0.70eff

You can go lower with the voltage, but when I did, I started getting 'x' and missing 'o'-s.  Shocked

Overall, if these would not be so quiet, I'd consider them a failure product.
2868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Splitting 2x PCI-e into 4? on: March 20, 2015, 07:41:15 PM
I'm only running 500 watts through the 4 connectors / 2 pc-e cables, so it's only 250w per cable max, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Someone on here mentioned they run SP20's using the stock pci-e 2x conenctor cables, which even downclocked might be too much.

Just experimenting with stuff here. LOL
2869  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Splitting 2x PCI-e into 4? on: March 20, 2015, 07:34:13 PM
I saw someone mention they do this, but is it really safe?

For example you have a 2x pci-e power supply but the miner requires 4.
Each pci-e cable has 2 6-pin connectors on it. Let's say you use 800watts total, so about 175 per pci-e connector, but 350 per cable.

Isn't this a bit much for the cables to handle?

I hate to split PCIe cords.  If you have to do it make sure to buy decent gauge wire.  If you get cheap ones it's asking for trouble.

It's whatever is shipped with a thermaltake power supply. I hate ribbon cables BTW.

Thank you. Just made it for others to track their miners, speeds usage, etc.. Cool

If you find some for 400shipped let us ALL know about it, will ya?  Wink

let's see some green over the next few days!  Grin
That'd be nice.
2875  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 18, 2015, 07:43:34 PM
Antminer with Beagle Bone Black as a part of the control unit does not have a built-in Wi-Fi support.

You may want to use some wi-fi bridge to make the miner think it is eithernet connected

I think my previous post got removed or not posted correctly from my end. *Shrug*

Did Antminer disable the wireless part of the BeagleBoard Black in software, or hardware?

I wish they'd have kept the wireless function on there as it was a great option with the S3's IMO.

Yeah That's what I'm doing, but would be much more convenient if they had it like the S3's did.

Sounds like they are a lot like a few Firearms companies.

If you get the firearm and it works out of the box, it will be awesome for years to come.

If you have issues that you have to send it back for repairs, you will get hosed for months on end and you're better off selling at a loss and buying another one.  Grin

Taurus is exactly like that.

Does this pool provide a better hash rate compared to other pools? I have only been mining here for about 1 hr and seems more stable and a bit higher.

I'm sure it will be explained in more detail by someone, but you need to be connected and hashing away constantly for a few days before your full 'potential' will be realized by the earnings.

I could live with a once a day payment.. That's pretty standard across pools, no?
