Two things to keep in mind with Dash and its price behaviour : Dash circulating supply (7.3 million Dash) minus Dash total combined collateral for running a masternode (4.4 million Dash).
That leaves only 2.9 million Dash on the market currently for speculation / trade.
Also take into account that the Dash blockrewards have an annual 7.1 % decrease, which will also have an impact on circulating supply.

DASH is holding up extremely well and given the amount of other coins that have pumped then this legitimizes DASH's current, I think undervalued, price right now.
I see comments about DASH being expensive at $117 at the time of this post, but people just don't comprehend the total amount of coins in circulation.
ETH - 92 million
XRP - 38 BILLION
LTC - 51 million
NEM - 9 BILLION
DASH - 7.3 million
Yep, and 4,4 million Dash of that 7.3 million Dash is used as collateral for masternodes. Leaving only 2.9 million Dash on the market for speculation / trade. |

Question  Why does all the altcoins go up/down along with bitcoin ,why cannot we compare it with USD/euro/GBP ? Thats because they are all paired to Bitcoin (BTC/DASH) .. the more FIAT pairs a coin has (EUR/DASH & USD/DASH & OTC trading) , the more independent a coin gets from Bitcoin. Then tell me how the hell will Dash compete Btc while is 100% depended on it??why do dash devs repeat that dash is better or will surpass btc while there is not any signs of that. We already got to 0.12 on what appears to be a pump and dump scheme, but with mainstream adaption through Dash Evolution where Dash can establish itself as an effective low fees instant transaction decentralized solution provider and with an exponential increase in our FIAT budget funding enabling the funding of larger projects which will have a larger impact on Dash, i can easily see Dash reach that 0.1 price range again and pass it (thereby gaining on Bitcoin). Speculation driving the price will then be replaced by actual useage driving the price. Also certain economic factors should come into play later on, when more and more masternodes (either full masternodes or by then decentralized masternode shares) and a steady decrease in our blockrewards will create scarcety on the market. This all will take time, that is why this coin is described so many times as a good longterm investment. I think Bitcoin will function more and more as a store of value (digital gold) coupled with high fees, while Dash will be far more active in the instant payments market with its low fees and it will be able to open other markets and create opportunities through its decentralized budget funding. |

whether he shorted after it or not, i think its still not right to release such note to the public knowing that all these people who are waiting for anything positive will dive into it. one announcement from dash team and we'd all cram together to buy dash to simply profit. now he is aware this would happen.

Put the fucking volume to sky and move the fucking price to 0.2 dash/btc or fucking delist dash from poloniex it is not worth it to see dash on same volume as pinkcoin. Move the hell out of dash to moon or fucking dump it to floor on a 0.01 dash/ btc price because is more precise for that kind of volume!

These 2 always fight but I remember that many times before after one of them grow, other will grow too later  I also seem to remember that the one that rises after the other one is the one that gets noticed the most in the end..... interesting times ahead. |

Two years ago I suggested that DASH would likely hit $1000 per coin at some point in the future. Nobody really ever said anything one way or the other on my prediction, which leads me to believe that even the DASH bulls thought I was being overly optimistic. Here we sit at $140, and with projects all around us reaching staggering valuations, that $1000 price target isn't looking nearly as crazy. Here's the kicker--mass adoption hasn't even come anywhere CLOSE to beginning, neither for us nor even for Bitcoin. Crypto is still *years* away from that, most likely. If our price is $140 *long before* mass adoption hits, how much will it be in five years?
Granted that all of crypto is in a bubble right now, and who knows where things will stand in six months. Even so, if a hype cycle can take crypto's total market cap to $80 billion and DASH's to $1 billion, what might a hype cycle in a few years do to our price?

To OP : Maybe you should take a look at Dash (former Darkcoin), which is addressing pretty much all the issues which has hamstring Bitcoin so badly (the long confirmation time, the high fees, the lack of governance which is creating indecisiveness about Bitcoin direction). Dash is a fork from Bitcoin and therefore easily adaptable for new merchants to add as payment solution beside Bitcoin. This year has seen a lot of strategic partnerships between crypto businesses and Dash, which enables Dash to perform as a decentralized instant payment solution provider with its instant transaction ability and its optional privacy. Dash decentralized governance and decentralized budget system allows Dash to make fast decisions and also allows it to bootstrap and spread out its own ecosystem (masternode related services, ASIC miner manufacturers, FIAT to Crypto solution providers have all been popping up at Dash and are growing exponentially).
