Er der slet ingen aktive mods på det her forum?? Synes godt nok der er meget spam efterhånden.

Det du selv kan gjøre for å bekjempe spam er når du ser spam da trykk du på "Report to moderator",  så enkelt ...

2904  Other / Meta / Re: A BUMPING SERVICE EXAMPLE: How long are we going to look the other way? on: March 26, 2019, 06:30:55 PM
There are many such bitcointalk bumping services in Internet. I've messaged Theymos about it some months ago and he was quite surprised.

I'm not gonna post links here but there are already many positive reviews/feedback for those services so I can imagine how many have used them. No surprise that the forum is full of HQ spam a.k.a. fake conversations.

<...>
Some of the issues I reported are fixed, and likely need some software update on the Cryptos-Currencies site in order for us to see the fix applied. Some other issues are queued with a priority, whilst others require further input on our behalf which the Epochtalk team will ask for if required.

Yeah I just checked the last " conversation " between two of you. I guess Lulu is aware of the change and can update the forum software so we can continue to search for bugs.
2906  Other / New forum software / Re: Cryptos-Currencies.Com : First forum using Epochtalk on: March 26, 2019, 12:10:21 PM
If anyone is interested, @akinsey (Epochtalk team) has started to process the bug queue, adding comment to some of those that have been reported and assigning some of them to his team to tackle (see https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk/issues).

Bugs are best reported on a one by one basis (I reported mine as a Batch), but the Epochtalk team seems to dissect the bugs reports if they are already in a Batch format.

This is a good news,
I have to post my bugs sometime soon. I already made e account on github.
So better to have a different case for each bug. I'll do it ASAP.
Been busy the last few weeks....

Hi! I recovered the account. Thank you all!
Can you remove negative trusts?

Thanks!

Great, send me a singed message or link to it as xtraelv suggested above and I'll be very happy to remove it.
And PM the others who left you Negative Feedback. I found this thread only by chance.
2908  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: March 26, 2019, 03:42:01 AM
There was no reason at all for this, red-tagging, Neg feedback. since 1:selling merits doesn’t violate any rules.
Sending unsollicited private messages is against the rules, and you risk a (temporary) ban doing it.

Quote
You have a post that I have to dig up now, where you were selling merits.
Please post a link Smiley

Maybe i was wrong, I was trying to dig up the post but to no avail. My apologies. Maybe it was a different user and somehow I messaged the wrong one. Sorry for soliciting , that was not my intentions I was just messaging about a post!

Edit: this is the post I saw. Keep in mind it was 2:00 AM in the morning local time, didn’t bother to read it fully
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2985345.0
I read the title and sent a message. NEWBIE MISTAKE
I now know he wasn’t selling merit. My apologies again. Didn’t know I was walking into the lions den

Now I see why you were thinking that I'm selling merit.
I agree that the subject of the thread can be misleading, especially for the newbies.
I don't want to be an asshøle, I don't like to ruin accounts even though it looks the opposite and since you have no scammy behaviour (yet) I will change my negative to neutral feedback.

Before doing anything in forum read the rules:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

P.S. I'll change the subject of the above mentioned thread so no one else can use it as an excuse in the future.

I got some Pm in the past too and i report it instant to the Mods and Admins !
Also i tagged them !

Yeah, I tagged him. If he was a merit beggar, I would have left a neutral feedback only for info but since he wants to buy it's same as the account selling.

Today I got this message with a subject "WTB merit"

How about a "permanent ban for plagiarism" for everyone lasting an hour or maybe a whole day, and  disable the new registrations for that day.
All the auctions should be postponed with a day tho..

2914  Other / Meta / Re: Epochtalk is ready, theymos wants us to test it. C'mon... on: March 20, 2019, 07:41:25 AM
It would be great if beta.bitcointalk.org was back, but perhaps with incentives to encourage people to QA the new software. Maybe for each successful bug report, the reporter can get a chance to roll a dice with 0.25% (or smaller?) odds of getting their account instantly promoted to "Legendary"? We would get an army of QA testers overnight. Or people that submit ~100 bug reports can be entitled to a share of forum ad revenue for X amount of time after the new forum goes live.

I think the coolest thing about Epochtalk isn't really all the features, but more so the fact that it's built on a modern stack and the code is reasonably well structured. When it goes live, the rate of features and change on the forum can increase quite dramatically since users can create pull requests to fix bugs or improve the forum with new features themselves. It would turn bitcointalk.org into an open source project. It's unlikely a single user will submit massive changes, but we could get many little improvements here and there from many people, which adds up to a lot.

No doubt some people are convinced SMF is better than Epochtalk, but even if it is (it isn't), millions of dollars has been spent creating Epochtalk, so to pay that much and not even adopt it seems crazy. People always fear the unknown, but SMF looks so dated and has so many quirks, it's really time to let it go. Even more so when people browse with mobile devices lately. This forum is approaching its 10th year of operation, and we need change now more than ever.

This is why I started this thread. Thanks to lulu we have a stable forum running and I'm happy more and more people are joining it to test it.
I wish beta was still up and running but...
Anyway, I made a list with the "bugs" i found but due to the lack of free time lately I haven't uploaded it to github yet.

I don't want any rewards or anything... if the new software is up and running flawlessly here in the forum is enough for me Wink

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much in to it. As pointed out it's not that uncommon a name. There is even a Japanese interior design company called "Satoshin", which registered their website in 2000: http://www.satoshin.co.jp/

Interesting that this site (satoshin.co.jp) also uses (C) at the bottom instead of the copyright symbol ©, just the same as the satoshin.com. It could simply be a parked domain for a potential international business expansion that never happened.

Reading throuth the source I ended up on this one >

趣味 - means Hobby. I know satoshi's  name is common, but this fact does not making it less fun to dig in the old archives Wink
2916  Other / Meta / Re: Report Status on: March 19, 2019, 08:55:05 PM
Maybe we should make unhandled reports go after a certain amount of. Time.. Maybe mods should have a good, bad or neither function in order to clear up the unhandled reports..

I agree, I still have 50 something reports wating to be handled, but it will never happen as those are back from the homograph atacks  time.
2917  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: March 19, 2019, 06:48:59 PM

If you want to join the club you need 300+ good reports, in other words access to this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reportlist;mine

Didn't know about this tool, thanks.
Any way to use this with every other user or do you only have access to your own reports ?

This is your own stats. The stats to the others are private, only the mods have access to the report scores.

I'm not sure that this has real relations to the creator(s) of bitcoin, but looks like there is a tiny chance to be his/their website.
2919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has anyone heard of satoshin.com? Registered back in 2004. on: March 19, 2019, 11:38:57 AM
Damn. And Japan servers, too. The website is indeed from way back. Here are some old snapshots I've found:

January 31, 2005: https://web.archive.org/web/20050131112206/http://www.satoshin.com/
February 7, 2005: https://web.archive.org/web/20050207055636/http://www.satoshin.com/

Here's a December 7, 2004 snapshot that doesn't look like the current look of the webpage(default page perhaps?): https://web.archive.org/web/20041207201954/http://www.satoshin.com/

Interesting as hell. How did you find that URL?

I just searched google for "satoshin" in the time before 2007.
I'm sure I'm not the first one ending on this website.

Thanks for the archives.. they look interesting.

Had some free time today and decided to play with google and satoshi, I'm sure many have done this.
Set the time back to 2004 to 2008
and I found one website registered in 2004.
Contains almost no information.

Code:
www.satoshin.com

Here is the view of the website >

It's sooo satioshi Smiley
