2901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Do vaccines kill people? on: May 21, 2021, 01:42:56 AM
I feel the voting choices in this thread is akin to a Jim Jones death cult where he wanted people to commit ritual suicide or like how the Mayans and other cultures would ritually sacrifice people for blood magic. I mean you can't vote "dead" the only logic choice is alive or alive with side affects/adverse reactions as the dead can't talk. Unless the the author is implying that the vaccines do turn people into zombies  Shocked?

I'm sorry that my thread doesn't meet your high standards but actually I'm not sorry nor do I give a shit. Go get vaccinated so you could answer the poll question. Or don't, just stay away from people lest you infect them.
2902  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future Bitcoin Dominance on: May 20, 2021, 11:05:16 PM
Any kid can make up a quadrillion memetokens so this combined with the idiotic way market caps are calculated - without regard to liquidity or any other metric that actually matters - likely means that BTC dominance won't get back above 70%, let alone 90%.
2903  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2021, 09:42:10 PM
Will "ChartBuddy No" get more than one vote?

Maybe we should have a vote on that.
2904  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I will never buy a Tesla car on: May 20, 2021, 09:37:10 PM
You guys can buy your vehicles based on your emotions and spread lies about others if you want.  God help you if your car runs into mine though...  Your emotions and fiberglass body might tell a different story about what is "better" when it meets a several thousand pound block of cold rolled steel.

Ouch, touched a nerve, didn't it? It sounds like you're the one with emotions towards Tesla.

There are vehicles other than "fully loaded" ones, there are vehicles other than EVs, there are vehicles other than pickup trucks, and not everyone is a wannabe gangster needing a bulletproof one.
2905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I will never buy a Tesla car on: May 20, 2021, 08:58:24 PM
I'm planning to buy a new car this summer. Not very sure of what I'm going to get, but I have no doubt about what I'm not going to get. I'm not going to get a Tesla. Never. Wouldn't even accept a test drive.

I don't think Tesla or Musk will notice your absence. I mean - you can definitely vote with your wallet if you feel strongly about it but it won't change anything.

OTOH there are better and/or less expensive vehicles anyway... Tesla is the iPhone of cars. If you really need a car that does car things and not for showing off, it's very unlikely that you would pick a Tesla.
2906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chartbuddy Yes on: May 20, 2021, 08:34:53 PM
I'll have Chartbuddy merit everyone back on both posts (up to 200 merits total)

Don't merit back... this kind of merit "trading" is usually frowned upon since merit is supposed to be used for good posts, not to pay someone back.

Come to think of it, even voting via merit is kinda sketchy but at least those yes/no posts could arguably be considered "good".
2907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2021, 07:10:09 PM
So: how about one graph every N posts in this topic? I'd be more than happy to create a post counter somewhere on loyce.club so the bot can easily keep track of when to post.

Maybe it could check the page number and not post until it's higher than bitcoin price more than once on the same page.

But honestly... considering that we're already bitching about it for 2 or 3 pages after the bot stopped, I'm sure we would have no problem to create enough useless drivel to drown once-per-hour bot posts.
2908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2021, 06:08:51 PM
It is hard for me to imagine that an accurate poll will not reveal a strong group bias towards allowing it.

Likely. But I'd say that unless someone is breaking forum rules (or infofront's rules) then it doesn't matter even if 6 out of 10 users dislike it. The haters can suck it up and scroll past the ~50 pixels taken up by an ignored post, and the few who find it useful can still find it useful. As opposed to it not existing at all.

I'm not a big fan of those CB posts (or rather I haven't bothered to figure out what it even means) and not a big fan of a ton of other shit that gets posted here or elsewhere on the forum, but if we start moderating content based on individual opinions or even majority opinions then this thread would be dead followed shortly by the forum itself.
2909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2021, 05:09:56 PM
So to recap, r0ach, gembitz, nullius, and other off-topic shitheads are/were fine but on-topic wall-themed posts are irritating and shall be banished or voted out.

If only there was a feature that would allow some users to ignore other users instead of getting their panties in a bunch... but that would require exercising individual freedom of choice, and we obviously can't have that in this anarchist paradise, can we.
2910  Other / Meta / Re: Propaganda and political operatives in PS sub on: May 20, 2021, 03:00:44 PM
I think it would probably not be best to remove the propaganda posts in question, but would probably be good to perhaps have warnings applied to posts linking readers to authoritative sources of information about the subject, so the readers can make their own unbiased judgments.

Wasn't that what twitface did to one prominent politician and some users here were screaming "sensor ships!!!!!!!!!!!"?

It's amazing how you can unironically post shit like that.
2911  Economy / Reputation / Re: I got negative bad review for trolling on: May 20, 2021, 02:54:32 PM
is only a troll.

Seeing how you're still happily trolling it doesn't look like the red trust has any effect on you... it's just a warning for other users.

2912  Economy / Reputation / Re: I got negative bad review for trolling on: May 20, 2021, 02:21:25 PM
If I was to write in reddit it's a torll it would ruin all the trol and not be a provacative and fun enough.
In Bitcintalk Is different I don't wanna get ban this why I write it's troll.

Why I do this? because is fun. I also post thread on Dogecoin subreddit is going to 0$ and Elon stop support you and they went into complete madness..

If your only goal here is trolling then red trust won't prevent you from doing that.

Normally I would be against negative trust for just trolling but since you're actually asking people to send money - you deserve the warning on your account.
2913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fucking rich whoever bought bitcoin around $30,000 -$31,000 on: May 20, 2021, 02:08:39 PM
The network was crowded, the servers were slow and the number of people who had the opportunity to purchase for the price of 3000 was almost non-existent.
Many of the platforms were slow, the network was overcrowded and had very high fees, and some did not expect a quick bounce.

That's what limit orders are for... trying to do in real time is just unnecessary aggravation (I should know, I use Coinbase LOL).

Personally, I see what happened yesterday, a clear price manipulation.

Or a bunch of leveraged longs / defi loans getting liquidated. Or a bunch of Robinhood kids getting all panicky.
2914  Other / Meta / Re: Propaganda and political operatives in PS sub on: May 20, 2021, 12:29:53 AM
Anything can be called "propaganda," even sentiments that support your point of view.  You wouldn't propose censoring opposing arguments, would you?  Something tells me that you shouldn't hold your breath if that's what you expect.

I don't think he expects that. But he's sockpuppeting hard with at least two accounts to shill his "point of view", which is about as disgusting as any propaganda.
2915  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Do vaccines kill people? on: May 20, 2021, 12:21:27 AM
94 percent of Covid deaths have a comorbidity. It's true that Americans are disgustingly unhealthy so everybody probably has an underlying condition that shouldn't be blamed for the death in all cases, but it also highlights the point that generally Covid is not dangerous to people that are healthy.

So if no one is healthy then it's dangerous to everybody?

The point is that those 94% would have lived if not for COVID-19. Some may have lived longer, some not so long, but that can be said about any cause of death. IIRC 85%+ of cancer deaths have comorbidities. Does that mean cancer is not dangerous to healthy people?
2916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 07:31:58 PM
Shout out to the shittiest exchange in existence (Coinbase) - it conveniently stops working when there is something interesting going on in the market, therefore preventing me from mindrusting my corns in panic.

I am glad that brian saved you from your own internal dumb  (we all have internal dumb but some of us are not willing to admit it openly.. thank you suchmoon for your courage.. hahahahaha.)

It actually saved me from even knowing/testing whether I'm dumb or not. Nanny state type of thing. Doesn't allow to even consider any negative actions.

It's back up so I put in buy limit orders all the way down to $20k because proudhon said so.
2917  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Do vaccines kill people? on: May 19, 2021, 04:47:32 PM
The point is, the 94% were going to die anyway

False. There is a large number of excess deaths (more people dying in 2020 and 2021 than is normal). And it's close to the reported number of COVID-19 deaths. And I'm sure you've been already told about this many times but you still haven't come up with a sufficiently wacky conspiracy theory to "explain" it. Disappointing.

2918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 02:43:49 PM
Only if they were leveraged. If they directly bought whatever token or something and withdrew it to play with defi then there is no liquidation. Or in some other cases, they somehow got some tokens airdropped or swapped from somewhere ago, and are just hodling it today.

Oh many of them are leveraged, double/triple/quadruple leveraged. Why else would they pay ridiculous ETH fees, and pay 30%+ APR to borrow some fake USD (like USDT or USDC) instead of just buying BTC or some shit-token directly.
2919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 02:12:52 PM
If you're looking for someone to blame (or thank) - in addition to the usual suspects like Elon or China - may I suggest shitcoiners, defi specifically. Those fucking morons have been overleveraged into Bitcoin and shitcoins since mid 2020, maybe earlier. Typical liquidation threshold is around 70-80% of collateral value so I'm quite certain there was a wave of liquidations contributing to the precipitous drop from mid 40s to low 30s.
2920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 01:48:03 PM
Buying of selling!

If was to buy then I feel bad for you, hope you are not missing it. Fuck Coinbase who even use this shit!

Well, I do apparently LOL.

I had some limit orders set up for buying so those will probably get hit. I didn't go deep enough though... should have made it down to $30k.
