2901  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice | 10 LTC Promo will Start from Tomorrow on: July 02, 2018, 02:40:27 PM
Your platform is missing a Max Bet button, other Dice sites have that option already available for their own version of the Dice game. I do think it is one of the necessary options you might want to add as a lot of gamblers including me is using that function as I myself is trying to avoid using the keyboard as I expect dice games to be a fast pace game. I also agree that the features within your site are a good start to attract players from free withdrawals to even a faucet, you have some features that other sites have already been removed, but if you really want to attract more players you must step up your promotions as this is what will make other members be aware to your site.
2902  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-02] Former Chinese Giant BTCC Relaunches Cryptocurrency Exchange on: July 02, 2018, 12:29:24 PM
They are re-launching 10 months after being shutdown I wonder how they will gain their market share back since Huobi and Okex seems to be sharing the market in China. With them having a bad reputation from shutting down I don't think that their previous users will be trading with their platform not unless they have an attractive way of luring them back in. Gaining back those market shares will be tough and I don't think having their own token as a reward for using the platform is enough to gain back some market shares not unless this BTCC Tokens have an attractive price in the market.
2903  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Drying Up? on: July 02, 2018, 09:36:17 AM
I do agree on what have others have said about more and more members are now focused on writing quality content and expecting to receive a merit that they tend to forget to send sMerits themselves or they are just purposely keeping their sMerits as their is no kind of consequence whatsoever on just keeping it away. Also we cannot force them on handing out their sMerits just for the purpose of increasing the merits being given in the forum, it would give a horrible effect on the merit system overall. There is no clear solution for this one as the way I see it we cannot satisfy both cleaning the forum from spammers and shitposters and at the same time make worthy members rank up fast by receiving a considerable amount of merits regularly.
2904  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Can/Do You Store Files on a Blockchain? on: July 02, 2018, 07:52:09 AM
Think of the Blockchain as an online database or a virtual ledger of some sort, with the technology it has given it has simply removed the use of third party services as you only need your cryptocurrency wallet in order to send and receive from the other party you are dealing with, it simply has removed the used of banks for their bank transfers which includes a more expensive fee compared to what network fees you are paying today.

Now imagine using that kind of technology on other day to day transactions from buying and selling of assets (real estate, stocks) to the government's activities it will give you more transparency on your deals and their actions. Someone will input/execute the transaction and everybody can look it up in the blockchain. Just think of it as an tamper proof online ledger where once you successfully inputted a data it can never be change or altered inside the chain. The positive benefit I see is that this tool will be a cost-effective way of reducing the potential frauds happening in our transactions.
2905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Connection between only two peers on: July 01, 2018, 07:52:41 PM
You may also want to try binding the IP address as well as whitelisting the peers connecting to it in order for your transactions to be relayed and also as a safety precaution if you want your public node not to be accidentally banned by your private node. Even if the connection is a temporary thing you don't want any kind of hiccups along the way.
2906  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to use Mercatox in Mobile Phones. on: July 01, 2018, 12:04:08 PM
Are you talking about the Mercatox Wallet site not being compatible with your phone's mobile browser? If that is the case you have a very little option on what you can do as for websites that don't have mobile versions of their website tend to fail on fitting their platform on phones with small resolutions. What you can do is to try to look if your mobile browser has an option for requesting a desktop version of the website. If you have it your mobile browser will show the entire Mercatox Platform in your small screen, what you can do now is to pinch to zoom on certain areas of the page. However if your mobile browser does not have that setting, trying to download other browser apps such as Opera Mini will give you the desktop site browser option.
2907  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cashing out bitcoin income paid under the table on: June 28, 2018, 08:51:06 PM
Uhmm. Cryptocurrency earned from mining is taxable under income tax not capital gains tax, you might be thinking of trading on crypto exchanges which are taxable via capital gains tax. Some countries even give capital gains tax in addition to income tax on miners who decided to sell their cryptocurrency when it appreciated in terms of price.  Also you are underaged I don't think you need to worry about being on the Radar by a taxing bureau as you still don't have any Tax Identification Number (TIN) which you will get on your first employment or when you decided to create a business.
2908  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-26] Facebook is reversing its ban on some cryptocurrency ads on: June 28, 2018, 07:59:53 PM
Facebook do not care about cryptocurrencies or care if it is legit or not, all it cares about is to avoid sanctions and to grab more money. They might limit posts offering free advertisements to an exchange but why limiting a considerable payment coming from paid ads?
They banned cryptocurrency ads in the first place in order to avoid sanctions. Of course all they care about is money as they are also a business as soon as all things are cleared out they have lifted the prohibition as fast as they can. Also what are you saying that they don't care about cryptos being legit or not? They gave a stop in Crypto related ads as its their only way to stop potential scams in the first place.
2909  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: June 28, 2018, 03:26:51 PM
I recently.. Signed up with FortuneJack. I have tried doing the freeplay and have seen the live version for BlackJack and Baccarat. Anyone from the community who can suggest if it's better to go Live via games or the automated ones?

Automated , I dont dare to say this but fishy things could happen in live games. It is better to use the offline version of it since it is provably fair. Well it doesnt really mean the house cant cheat either but it just makes the site harder to cheat. Live games are totally outdated anyway , you better to go a real casino instead for a live game
Cazkoo you probably watched a lot of online live casino scam videos in Youtube that is why you are feeling that way. FortuneJack will never cheat their players as their repuation as a cryptocurrency gambling site is always on the line. So I would still go either way if I am to choose the automated provably fair one or their live casino as both of them are ran by FJ and will be most likely be fair.
2910  Other / Meta / Re: Lamborghini Member, what title is that? on: June 28, 2018, 02:03:26 PM
Only VIP members (50 btc), Donators (10 btc), Global moderators, and admins can display custom titles.
That's not quite true.
VIPs, global mods and admins can set/change their own custom titles, but everyone can display one (eg get one assigned to them by theymos).
An example for that would be Blazed, who's neither VIP nor involved with moderation, but holds the custom title "Casascius Addict".
Custom titles are also given when theymos does name changes, eg for BitcoinPenny (formerly CJBianco), who carries their old name as custom title "aka CJBianco".

tl;dr: Everyone can have a custom title, not everyone can set one for themselves.
So how do you request theymos for a custom title or do you need a certain kind of trust in the forum in order to request and obtain one? Also do you need to pay a certain amount depending on the title you want? Because I also don't think that everyone can have that kind of privilege here in the forum.
2911  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4900 by late August on: June 28, 2018, 12:28:50 PM
Call me noob, however I am 99.99% sure about my prediction. Simply we didn't hit our true bottom. There isn't any bull reversal yet. Once we hit our true bottom there will be a strong bull reversal plus fomo and a huge bull run.
Can you try to make us understand what for you or what amount is "true bottom"? As if I am reading it right you said that your prediction of 5,900 in late June is correct since it hit 5,766$ and now it is back above 6,130$, so I am confused what price point do you expect for Bitcoin to be its "true bottom"? And please explain why is that the true bottom. Volume being weak is also not a factor for prices to go down, sometimes when price are consolidating you won't really see any kind of major movement in the volume. I'll even worry more if prices are consolidating and the volume is rising, as that means there is a potential bull trap in the making.
2912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why do we trust hardware wallet manufacturers? on: June 28, 2018, 09:50:44 AM
Because they are legally liable if you have prove that they have some kind of breach of security regarding your wallet. Hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger are real companies which have a juridical personality. Any kind of wrong doing like tampering their own device will make them liable. And if that happens you could easily find them, as them being real companies will be hard to run away with your money unlike fake investment scams happening in the internet. I am not saying that they will run away with our money but knowing that they physically exist and are registered companies I myself know that my money is safe with their product.
2913  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-26]Ethereum (ETH): Losing 50% Against Bitcoin Since Last Summer on: June 27, 2018, 07:53:39 PM
For people thinking of switching their BTC to Ethereum I think there is no better time than now as ETH is losing its to BTC. Remember that when Bitcoin rallied to almost 10,000$ recently, ETH also rallied as well but is better than BTC as it reached as high as 790$ from its low which is 370$, a lot of people have doubled there money in the process and with the dip we are experiencing right now this migh be another chance to be greedy.
2914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 27, 2018, 05:41:45 PM
Die Mannschaft getting KO'd so early in the tournament completely fucks up my bracket challenge predictions. I had Germany all the way up to the semi-finals :S

About the team, they didn't deserve to advance to the RO16, they were absolutely awful in the group stages, the overall performance was just really poor. Well, one big team' down, one to go...Brazil  Roll Eyes
I got them too. The funny thing is I predicted this game will go to 2-0 in favor of Germany which exactly the opposite has happened. But seeing how the much go, I didn't feel like Germany has the spirit to win the game even on the first half compared to South Korea who have given there best all through out the table. Well I am now sitting in the 19th even though I completely messed up my Mexico v. Sweden as well.
2915  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession and Bitcoin on: June 27, 2018, 04:32:22 PM
The simple answer is No. Bitcoin won't be counted as a safe have for your money or any other cryptocurrency in that matter. Come one guys it is the recession, unemployment is up and profits are down, the only way to compensate their need for money is of course liquidating their assets and cryptocurrencies being more liquid compared to real estate, I think cryptocurrencies is are the first one to fall. I maybe wrong but more liquid assets tends to changes more as they are easily sold unlike real estates and other immovable properties. Bottom line is no asset is safe during the recession, but this could be everyone's opportunity to catch something at a cheap price.
2916  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: WSJ editorial: FB and google crypto advertising bans may be anti-competitive on: June 27, 2018, 02:16:02 PM
I am split on this one but the good news is Facebook have lifted the ban somehow as they are allowing some cryptocurrency ads to be shown in their website again. To answer your question I don't think it is anti-competitive as they are like offerings from a company to answer your questio, simply put it this way have you seen IPOs of companies to be advertised in Facebook? I don't think so as these investment opportunities does not need to be promoted as they are investments. It is like saying that Facebook is also promoting to invest in their ICOs.
2917  Other / Meta / Re: Incentive to the Merit Sources to Achieve their Quota? on: June 27, 2018, 06:13:58 AM
How can it be considered as conflict of interest?

The way I see it is members receiving merits from merit sources are being grateful from the merits they have received therefore they are giving merits as a way of showing gratitude.

The more merits they are receiving means the more merits they can sent back again.

This is merit trading. This is the conflict I was talking about.. it's positive only to who is involved in this trade...

But this is not happening. At least I have never seen it.

And merit sources have more smerits than good posts to merit.
But did day ask for the merits to be send back to them? I don't think it can be called "merit trading" if the merit sources have good post themselves, I don't think we can deny the fact that sending them merits for their meritable post is a bad thing to do, even if that merit sender is the one who has received merits from the merit source itself. If you want to see what merit trading really is go check some DT members' trust summary and search for their negative trust they are giving to merit abusers.
2918  Other / Meta / Re: Incentive to the Merit Sources to Achieve their Quota? on: June 26, 2018, 08:22:27 PM
Actually merit sources should not need merit at all. To avoid conflict of interest.

Give us extra, unpaid work to read more posts than usual to find some worthy of merit, then penalize us so we can't advance in rank?

Doesn't make sense...  :/

How can you advance forward legendary?

But I didn't said you can't advance in rank, just that you don't need merits. Many merit sources have enough merit to the next rank already, that's why they don't need merit .. this is what I tried to say..
How can it be considered as conflict of interest?  He just mentioned one incentive and that is getting merits in return of doing his job (which is giving merits) and now you are saying it is a conflict of interest? The way I see it is members receiving merits from merit sources are being grateful from the merits they have received therefore they are giving merits as a way of showing gratitude. Plus can't you see the positive side of things? The more merits they are receiving means the more merits they can sent back again. Merit sources actually don't have an unlimited amount of sMerits to give and this is another way to replenish their sMerits.
2919  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceyBit Integration || Add GAMES to your website || NEW Game available 4Clover! on: June 26, 2018, 05:04:50 PM
Amazing to see that you have this kind of casino integration service to monetize traffic of a website. But seeing that the House Edge are Way to High Site Visitors are not intended to win anything HE of Alien Shot is 5-7% while 4 Clover is 10% which tells me that the games are just intended for entertainment. I have visited SatoshiHero where they integrated a faucet to play with the casino as well, the website overall looks good btw.
2920  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-26] Breaking New Ground: South Africa Gets Its First Bitcoin Atm on: June 26, 2018, 02:51:51 PM
Good start for South Africa but I don't think that Bitcoin ATMs don't give the best value for their money. As these ATMs will give you exchange rates that are different to what the world market is offering, and the rates are always in favor of the ATM business owner. I see rate differences to go up to 6-7% in certain atm machines which are obviously high, this rates also account for the fee of using the machine.  But nevertheless having a physical option to be seen in South Africa is a good way to boost their presence in the country.
