1921  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 18, 2019, 06:05:42 PM
Cryptocurrency adoption tends to go very fast on developing countries since they can handle the risk more compared to developed countries in which they need to consider everything first as their stable economy is always on the line.
I disagree. Not all developing countries support Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. For example, countries like India and Pakistan have outright banned them while China is planning on banning mining soon.

Honestly, developing countries are just as reluctant as developed countries when it comes to supporting crypto.
Sorry if I didn't made my statement clear enough for you but I'm saying this for the ones who have adopted cryptocurrencies and I'm not saying that all developing countries have adopted it already. Countries like Malta, Estonia, Bostwana, Nigeria, and Philippines have take the first bold steps when it comes to crypto-related and blockchain-related investments pouring into their country. Yes some developing countries are still reluctants as the developed ones but governments have different views on where they want their country to go through and I'm lucky enough that I'm not a citizen of any of this countries.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 18, 2019, 12:55:49 PM
For some Asian countries insect fighting has been done in the past, Asian countries like Japan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam have Beetle fighting as well as Cricket fighting but I haven't seen anything about them having insect fights for ants. My guess is because of the insect type itself unlike Beetles or crickets you won't really be ae to differentiate both ants in terms of their ability or strength. Unlike beetles or crickets in which you will see see that some of them are considerably larger compared to the other. And in terms of betting its not that really big in the insect fighting community like what I have said you will only have four main countries who might be interested in it.
1923  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CipherTrace CEO serves as Bitcoin Expert Witness in $1.4M Darkweb Case on: April 18, 2019, 11:24:59 AM
You know that "professionals" don't do well on court as it only takes a smart attorney to attack his credibility or put his statement into a matter of his own opinion without any actual benefit for the case. Both plaintiffs and defendants have used experts before in millions of cases but they aren't considered as an actual evidence for the case because technically they will always be viewed as an opinion. If this expert witness cannot provide any actual evidence against the defendant then we all know that he had little to no help for the case's development.
1924  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 18, 2019, 09:56:02 AM
Is it going to start with poor countries and their dictators?
Is it going to start in the USA with their SEC and ETF and everything?
Discuss.
Well it already started and in case you haven't notice adoption will be different on each country depending on how their government, central bank, and SEC views it. Cryptocurrency adoption tends to go very fast on developing countries since they can handle the risk more compared to developed countries in which they need to consider everything first as their stable economy is always on the line. As for your question regarding countries being ruled by dictators I think you are referring to Venezuela and I think we already know the answer for that.
1925  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Epaicapital.com - fake team, plagiarized whitepaper. on: April 18, 2019, 08:53:03 AM
Took a shot on finding their teams' real identity but I came out short on finding nothing about them, however I think its enough that nutildah have pointed out that they are 6 of 6 on using names of footballers on their fake profiles to create an identity. The pictures they have taken might just be from social media profiles of not known people that is why it is hard to do a search on it. Also them copying from various projects is enough to show that they aren't really a real project.
1926  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: How to Sign Message on Mobile Phone/Android (Bitcoin) on: April 17, 2019, 10:12:58 PM
Bumping for thread visibility.
~snip~

As a senior member dapat alam mo na yan.
~snip~
Their is no way to sign on coins.ph napagusapan na to sa official thread nila. Kung makikipag trade or lend ka you can use another wallet naman like mycelium para makapag sign ng message. Sana ay magkaroon na din ng signing of message sa coins para mas maganda at may proof of ownership na na maipapakita.
Much better kung meron sana no para di na natin kailangan pang magbukas ng iba pang wallets just to trade.

1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 17, 2019, 08:50:17 PM
Feel bad for DeMarcus Cousins.

With his recent injury, his target on acquiring a max contract now have a slimmer chance. If you guys remember, he targeted it last free agency but he ended up injured so obviously his market value drastically down. He signed a 1 year contract to Warriors while preparing for something big in the next free agency. And now, he will meet the next market again with an injury status.
Ever since he signed a shitty Mid-level exception contract with the Golden State Warriors his chances of getting that last max contract has been gone together with the wind. For the GMs out there the only thing they see now is a player willing to take paycuts just to win a ring. Other than that his short temperdness is also viewed as a liability in both on and off the court not to mention that his attitude has a negative presence towards the locker room. For me he is better of playing with guys better than him or what he sees as equal, him being the dominant player of the team would only get to his head and bring the dark side on him as seen in a lot of occasions with his time with the Kings.
1928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transfering Bitcoin from Coinbase to an exchange to acquire Monero anonymously? on: April 17, 2019, 07:46:22 PM
Why are you even worried about being linked to your monero purchased from Coinbase to an exchange when you are still required to submit KYC from an exchange? At the end you are still linked from your Monero depending on what exchange you have bought it from. If you really want to remain anonymous from any kind of KYC or from an exchange then buying Monero directly from a person selling it is the right way to go preferably using an escrow. In this method you will be sending BTC as a payment and there is no way for them to track what you have receive in return.
1929  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 17, 2019, 06:13:54 PM
At Rambotnic's case you will see that he only gave his merits as a way to show that he has a useless account now because it has received a lot of negative trust from trusted members, it's not about not really about him gaining anything its his only mean on getting back against the forum. In my opinion just as long as the merit giveaway isn't similar to Rambotnic's case I think that we shouldn't even take a look at this seriously as we can easily look at their merit history and the posts they are giving merits to if their is something fishy about it. Other than that I think that them receiving merits back from their merit giveaway threads is a given, most of the merit senders of these kinds of threads if not merit sources are DT members which means that they also show support towards these kinds of threads.
1930  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-17]Google Trends: Cryptocurrency Users Buy Bitcoin Only on: April 17, 2019, 02:33:59 PM
I'm surprised that they have quoted an analysis coming from MagicPoopCannon in tradingview as he usually gets a lot of hate by having a lot of his predictions as having a bearish scenario. With the scenario he has given again he expects Bitcoin to gown back below to 3600$ which I can say is possible but I don't say he is right that BTC would suddenly drop fast at that level. Now for the article itself why do they relate Gtrends on the buying patterns in the market? If we only believe that then all of the other cryptocurrencies should be down by now which isn't even the case.
1931  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-13] Quadriga Fails to Find $195 Million in Missing Bitcoin, Ethereum an on: April 16, 2019, 07:34:59 PM
The court also approved a freeze on accounts held by Cotton’s widow, Jennifer Robertson, and the Cotten estate, including Robertson’s trusts and businesses.

The news article made Cotten's wife look like she was a victim of their judicial system by creating this sentence without saying why they had to freeze all their assets, they cannot even spell his surname right. The reason why they have freeze all of here assets is because Jennifer Robertson together with Gerald Cotten have bought a dozen properties since 2016 some of which are bought under a different surname for Jennifer. For the judge's point of view this alone is enough to warrant a suspicion on their strange activity involving his wife.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Sign Up with Rizin Fighting Federation on: April 16, 2019, 05:56:17 PM
Manny Pacquiao in MMA? No thanks, I think Connor McGregor entering boxing is enough to show that even if you are good in another combat sport you won't be good in another combat sport, his dominance in MMA didn't gave him the edge he is talking about. The same thing can be said for Pacquiao as even in decades of training boxing won't be enough for him to survive a MMA seasoned pro. Pacquiao would be smart if he takes the route Mayweather has took by doing another exhibition boxing match, but surely for him still having a belt in pro-boxing doing this exhibition match would only harm his reputation.
1933  Economy / Economics / Re: Man who created own credit card sues bank for not sticking to terms on: April 15, 2019, 07:59:39 PM
I don't know how Russian laws work or what the judges are thinking about this one but clearly Argarkov have submitted a falsified version of the original contract and even though their is a negligence on Tinkoff's part clearly the fake contract isn't enforceable therefore it's voidable. The deceit of altering the original contract alone should be enough to counter the charges, which I am currently wonder how Tinkoff has lost the case. It's either the judges are not thinking straight or their lawyers are stupid to let this man take advantage of them.
1934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Could Exceed $1 Million in 7 -10 Years: PayPal Director on: April 15, 2019, 06:49:33 PM
He might be right on giving Bitcoin a 50% (it's less than my opinion) chance on succeeding but he is definitely wrong on putting up a 1 million dollar price tag per Bitcoin. If you look at his other message :

According to Casares, a director at PayPal, investing in an emerging asset like bitcoin poses risks and it would be irresponsible for an investor to invest anything more that can be lost. But, he emphasized that it would be almost as irresponsible to not have any exposure to BTC at all.

I'm no math or investment genius but the pros definitely outweighs the risk he is talking about if we have a 50% chance of multiplying our money by 250 times. I don't know why he said this if he is very optimistic with Bitcoin's future but he definitely contradicted his own prediction just by saying this warning for us, as if he is telling us that he also doesn't believe the words that has come in his mouth.
1935  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: China’s Plan to Ban Bitcoin on: April 15, 2019, 06:54:07 AM
It will not harm miners and investors although transferring their operation outside of China jurisdiction will cost them a lot, but knowing Chinese businessmen, they will do everything to still become a part of cryptocurrency, we have seen how Chinese investors transferring to other countries for the sake of trading Cryptocurrency.
Not really Chinese miners have been moving out from their country since last 2017 and is moving to other Asian countries particularly South East Asian countries and lately Iran , a Middle Eastern Asian country, and the reason from them moving out is due to higher electricity cost in their country compared to running them overseas. What do they have to avoid is countries with strict laws when it comes to cryptocurrencies or for foreign businesses running in their country. Taxes and ownerships due to local joint venture requirement are way different for foreign countries that sometimes their earnings isn't considerable enough to continue their operation in the forseeable future.
1936  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Questions about local Crypto shops on: April 14, 2019, 06:11:08 PM

1937  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BITCOIN RADIO on: April 14, 2019, 05:08:20 PM
* the app buys and sells the JINGODOTS or TONES * the JINGO has to act as a key, owning 100 JINGO means you can upload your music. *
This alone would make or break your radio project, artists/uploaders being required to purchase something in order for them to earn would be something they won't do especially if they don't have the money to start with especially if you are targeting independent artists. If Spotify encourages artists to upload their songs for free you should do it as well as it will allow artists even the known ones to put their songs in your radio. Because in reality no one would be listening to your radio if you don't have those catchy songs people are really listening to. Plus with the idea that you are letting your users earn cryptocurrencies just by listening, they might just really be there to earn and not to listen your songs this would be disappointing for artists who really wants to be heard and and make a name for himself.
1938  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: NEW: Ledger Nano X - Information - Hardware Wallet on: April 14, 2019, 03:22:54 PM
For those who are worried about the Bluetooth functionality of the new Ledger Nano X you should be aware that its only function is to allow your signed/unsigned transactions to flow wirelessly from your Ledger Nano X. Technically no hackers can hijack your private keys with the use of this awesome feature provided by Ledger. It's not like those contactless credit/debit cards where you need an RFID-blocking wallet to protect it because no one can steal something from you by the use of the wallet's Bluetooth capabilities.

1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: April 13, 2019, 09:00:42 PM
I just got to watch Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's interview with Jimmy Kimmel and there was a part at the very end of the video where Nikolaj said that all of the fan theories circulating in the web on how Game of Thrones will end are all entirely wrong saying that the ending was "sadisfying". Same goes to other actors of the show in tv appearances saying that all predictions on how game of thrones will end are wrong or at least no one have entirely guessed it correctly. So if you are basing your bets based on the books or based in other fan theories maybe you should have 2nd thoughts about it by now.
