1961  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you win does someone else have to lose. on: April 07, 2019, 07:39:29 PM
Just my opinion and way of thinking the answer is it depends and you really have no way of telling it. Remember that the sellers are the one putting up the asking price and they dictate what price they will sell their cryptocurrencies for, if they are selling below the price they have bought it then they'll definitely lose money but if they are selling above the price they have bought it then he didn't lose at all. The same thing can be said when you are on the selling side, you cannot really tell what happens next after the buyer have matched your offer. Even if you see it fall right after you sell you can really never know if the ones who bought your crypto have cut their losses, have somehow profited, or even have hodled it to sell in the future when prices are higher.

The thing is you don't need to think what has happened to the one who have matched your offer with as they are the ones who will dictate if they will win or lose in the market, this isn't really a someone wins while the other one loses scenario.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 236 Holloway vs. Poirier on: April 07, 2019, 01:17:08 PM
Still not sold that Israel Adesanya will be winning the match this easily even though Gastelum haven't fought inside the octagon for a long time he still ranked higher by one spot compared to Adesanya and let us remember that his recent last fight wasn't impressive at all as Anderson Silva lasted 15 minutes with him inside the cage making it reach to a decision loss. Gastelum can pick the pace with this guy but Adesanya is a dangerous clinical fighter when the rhythm gets going so he must not let him take control of the fight.
1963  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptonews Sources on: April 07, 2019, 07:54:37 AM
OP can start with these two news groups on telegram: @coinnewschannel and @cointelegraph. I started with them as a newbie and they were really fantastic. Later you can branch off to news sites on Twitter.
If cointelegraph's website isn't even good then why do you think their telegram group would any be better? I took a look at it and my guess was right it was only their channel to promote links of their news article. It's even worst for coinnewschannel's TG group as aside from news links they also have links from airdrops and other promotions which isn't a goo idea. OP would only be wasting his time here with their Clickbaity articles. I'll still go to r/Bitcoin or r/Cryptocurrency in Reddit to get my news, at least they provide direct links from media sources not related to crypto news directly.
1964  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Donate Plugin for Wordpress on: April 07, 2019, 07:05:55 AM
Just out of curiosity what is your assurances in the system that your plug-in will really use the user's intended Bitcoin address and not switch it up at any point in time when it is online in their website? I think this is one of the big flaws for any untrusted projects related to crypto payments out there, with the copy/paste virus (clipboard virus) and other hacks you cannot really trust most of the projects this days without any proof of system reliability. So understand where I'm getting at, you have a good plug-in but can it be trusted in the first place?
1965  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-06]Canada Accepts Payments Using Bitcoin & Other Cryptos on: April 06, 2019, 07:16:13 PM
According to Lynn Dollin, Mayor of Innisfil city, they had to come out with this decision because of the increasing growth, popularity and adoption of digital currencies and blockchain technology.

The headline of the article made it look like the whole country of Canada accepted crypto payments in their taxes yet the truth is its only a unknown municipal city in Canada who implemented it. Just by searching in Google you will see that Innisfil city isn't a dense city which is only home for around 36,000 people that I doubt even a quarter of it knows what a cryptocurrency is. For me this is only just a political ploy that doesn't really change anything in their city, I'll be more understanding if one of the cities like Toronto or Vancouver have implemented this.
1966  Other / Meta / Re: Merits getting abused like this? What can be done? on: April 06, 2019, 06:11:48 PM

I think what I discovered in Fiverr's services is related so this is a follow up on the matter. After scrolling to his Fiverr's service page I notice on the "recommended for you" tab that aside from freelancers selling merits in Bitcointalk there are also people offering up Pay to Comment services as well which is really a disturbing discovery to see. He already got a lot of reviews it might be fake but if it's true then he is making some cash to bump the Ann threads up in the forum just by posting shit up. Aside from people exploiting their limited supply of merits there are also jerks exploiting something that is unlimited which is posting a comment.

1967  Other / Meta / Re: Merits getting abused like this? What can be done? on: April 06, 2019, 04:46:27 PM
As of the moment we can't really stop them with these kinds of services. Even if we have given a negative tag from the sources of the merit their supply won't be affected and they can still send them all. Not unless theymos have some changes for the trust system in which if a user has been tagged for merit selling in which they'll immediately get banned on sending their remaining supply these things won't stop. Tackling the buyers will also be a hard task for us since we must prove that they did buy from these sellers and not actually received a random merit from them.
1968  Economy / Gambling / Re: 10betjapan.com - operator offering sportsbetting & casino games now accepts BTC on: April 05, 2019, 03:09:54 AM
Another thing that I notice is your name is highly similar to 10bet.com which also have your primary sponsors with namely the Blackburn Rovers FC and West Bromwich Albion FC.

Did you notice my post right before yours? Comfortlink NV owns 10Bet, RealDealBet (closed) and BetRally and is listed on their website...
The "10 Bet" you are ralking about is owned by a different company when you look at my screenshot provided it is licensed with a different country named Ocean Star LTD which is no way similar to Comfortlink. If Comfortlink NV owns 10bet then why is it licensed with a different company other than theirs? Because it doesn't make sense they are also licensed under Curacao when they are representing themselves asa local gambling site for Japan.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO can be a safer investment option than ICO on: April 04, 2019, 08:28:31 PM
Curious to see how exchanges will do their background checks on the developers itself and the project as a whole. I don't want to see only some kind of promotion page for this offered tokens but the full background of the token itself because probably what they will be doing is they will just promote the token and its project which could also be a bad thing for us. It would be no different to some people hyping up an ICO to pump the prices as they might likely have a portion of the offered tokens themselves ready to sell. They might not do it on their first few IEOs but if they got the trust of the people behind them things could go on a different direction.
1970  Economy / Gambling / Re: 10betjapan.com - operator offering sportsbetting & casino games now accepts BTC on: April 04, 2019, 07:30:02 PM
I'm surprised that a company locally operating in Japan is licensed under another country which we obviously know as the island country of Curacao. Can you be perfectly honest with us and tell us if being a Japanese gambling site is just a front and you have just been targeting Japanese players as your starting market? Another thing that I notice is your name is highly similar to 10bet.com which also have your primary sponsors with namely the Blackburn Rovers FC and West Bromwich Albion FC. Which I doubt you are directly connected with since their Curacao license is licensed to another company. By the way your website also have the same Logo being use, I'll be archiving this thread (failed to archive the website maybe someone can archive it for me) for later use because I'm beginning to feel that we have a trademark fraudster here.

1971  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Troll sent tx's with message "Child Porn" during 2012-2014 (check ur addresses) on: April 04, 2019, 06:17:03 PM
I don't know how strict your laws are in your country but what I know is that there is a certain threshold that would trigger AML proceedings when you try to move a substantial amount. So if what you are trying to liquidate is lesser than that I won't have to worry about anything showing any evidence on that matter. And hugeblack is right there is nothing incriminating with the message "Child porn" in your transaction, it doesn't really prove anything that you have received payment for sending any child pornography, if you are worried about that then you can use other tx explorers to prove your payment.

P.S.

With a newbie ranking account that has been created in October 2017 it only means that you are using an alt account to post in the forum. Did you got your old account banned and have ban evading right now?
1972  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-03]April Fool’s Day Could Have Triggered Bitcoin Price Surge on: April 04, 2019, 04:16:49 PM
So now "professional analysts" are linking April Fools' day for price increases? Isn't that the dumbest thing you can ever think of for a reason for price increases? First off Bitcoin even before the month of April started have been hinting a bull run since the first quarter of 2019. Signs including RSI being oversold and the Bearish MACD losing momentum aren't mentioned but them linking the price pump just just because its April 1st is too much for me to even consider it as real news.
1973  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE FOMO! on: April 03, 2019, 06:09:16 PM
Quote
none of the above (a slow rise)
I think this option in the poll should be ruled out as a 20%+ price increase in just two days doesn't show that Bitcoin is a "slow" mover. We all know that this price breakout is not the "slow rise" that we have been expecting for awhile now, this might just be the FOMO doing the price increase of Bitcoin now. If we really want to see Bitcoin not to repeat the 16 months of bear market we shouldn't be happy about this price break out now, so a correction at around 5,200$ to 5,500$ might just fix this price pump.
1974  Economy / Reputation / Re: Steamtyme - An attack helicopter clearing the air or a "Reputation Thread" on: April 03, 2019, 05:18:47 PM
It would really help a lot if the members who have contacted you provided some screenshots of the conversation as well as providing the TG username of your impersonator. You were not the first guy to be impersonated in the forum through telegram, some people even claim that they are BCT staff/DT member and will ask for a payment to remove the user's negative trust in the forum. Now I'm wondering what the impersonator is trying to claim in order to scam the members in Telegram, you being a DT member seems to have a relation to it.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 03, 2019, 03:05:53 PM
There are more and more rumours in Spain about a departure of Raphael Varane from Real madrid. Zidane wants to keep him but it seems that the player wants to go.
Florentino Perez could replace him with Atletico's Jose Gimenez.
Even if Raphael Varane wants to go and no club has offered Real Madrid any price equal to his maket value then expect him to go nowhere. I'll expect that a player swap would be more likely scenario to happen but knowing how player swap deals go down the club who wants Varane needs to be the one who contact Real Madrid first in order to have the sweeter end/part of the deal. If Zidane is really smart he won't make selling Varane a priority as chances are his mind could change when he see that his team has improved during the offseason.
1976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Art of quitting !!!! on: April 02, 2019, 02:21:30 PM
Quitting might not be the appropriate word for it as if you aren't really quitting the market for good what you are really doing is just merely exiting a trade. Exiting a trade doesn't require you to have a gain in fact an exit for a trade only requires a plan and that plan is just simple as setting up a sell poit for both gain and loss scenario. You also need a target sell price for your loss in order to minimize your losses and this serves as a backup if your trade for profit has failed.
1977  Economy / Economics / Re: Changes in the bitcoin price predictions with google trends. on: April 02, 2019, 04:25:59 AM
If the interesting falling ( google trends lowers), some (big) investors trying to buy a big chunk - it results in a slowly (!!!) deflation...
What are you even trying to say here? That whales suddenly buy when they see that the Google trend for BTC is going down? You are lucky that you aren't popular in tradingview because the comments have eaten you alive by now. Like what I have said before Google Trends which is based on search results in their search engine cannot be use in Technical Analysis as it's just a number of searches in Google, it doesn't predict any kind of demand for Bitcoin in the market. A good example here is Gold we all know that Gold is steadily rising but the two trends related to Gold shows the irrelevance of its charts.

1978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KYC is now required! In order to continue using the forum why this KYC ? on: April 02, 2019, 03:37:56 AM
Today while on the forum I see a message showing KYC is now required to use the forum.
But why should I share my personal information with those third parties?

Please list all of your crimes (at least 1):
Please list all of your past, present, and future romantic partners (note that we may contact them for further information):
Credit card number, three numbers on the back as well as the expiration month and year:
You agree to have this information shared with the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, Federal Reserve, ECB, Interpol, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Equifax, Chainalysis, and your parents:

If you didn't get the joke at this part of the KYC verification then you aren't exactly reading anything at all. I mean if you look at the KYC page for those who are at least observant in the matter you won't see anywhere in that page where you can upload your pictures and other supporting documents to verify your KYC. Even just by putting up fake things and clicking "submit" and you will be instantly verified by the forum. This just proves that most members of the forum are all post first rather than read anything to have at least a basic understanding of it.
1979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet SCAM - no more access to my account on: April 01, 2019, 06:20:12 PM
They did recently when a guy from the Phillipines used fake docs to try & get his (over 300 bitcoin’s) winnings.
Cloudbet paid that win so I don’t see why they wouldn’t here.
I think you are referring to Swofty's case and no the guy from the Philippines didn't use fake documents but what happened is Swofty who was trying to claim the 330+ BTC withdrawal asked help (because he was based from USA) and made it look like the guy from the Philippines was the one claiming it therefore making him the one to submit the documents in order to claim the BTC. Swofty admitted that it was a mistake on his  end and the problem was resolved.

At that point, I got very scared. I went from really excited about my winnings to very, very scared I wouldn't get any. I have a good online friend in the Phillipines and I asked for help. I had him give his documents and ID that said the account was from the Phillipines.

I should have been upfront about my situation from the start and this situation would have gone much more smoothly.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 01, 2019, 05:34:20 PM
At last, they made now the good decision to sit him out. That's the end of the line for him this season, he should now workout for the next season to come.
Let's not make this news any bigger as if you look at it the "rest of the season" for the Los Angeles Lakers is only 5 games out before they finish the regular season which I think won't change anything considering that they won't be making to the play offs. Pulling him out early would also assure the team to at least don't go up more in the draft lottery considering that they are toe to toe with other teams similar to their record. This would assure them to have at least to have a top 10 pick after the regular season is over.
