Up! It's still actual! Help me!

You need to resubmit your application. There is a change since end of December last year. See here:

We've streamlined our processes, and Cyrus has put together a team for handling these cases, so account recoveries should now be handled at a reasonable pace again. Additionally, we will be somewhat more lenient in recovering accounts without signatures, though signatures often will still be required, depending on the situation.

If you have a locked account, send a new email to the @bitcointalk.org email address given in your "account locked" error message. (The email address changed a few weeks ago.) If you were previously sending messages to me or Cyrus, send a new email to the address here. We might try to go through the backlog of old-process recoveries in the future, but for now you should send new messages.

Sorry for the delay!

Check this sticky in meta as well > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0

Good luck Smiley

Ops... Pmalek was quicker Smiley

Another proof that newbies do not read the stickies.
There on the top of the Digital Goods was what you needed to read before you buy/pay anything:
Avoid auto-buy links, mainly locked or self moderated. Register before dealing
Now it's too late.

From now on. READ THE STICKIES in every section before you do whatever..
2923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox founder Mark Karpeles Sentenced to Over Two Years. Is This a Joke? on: March 18, 2019, 10:37:35 AM
Interesting, Ross Ulbricht was sentenced for lifetime (twice + 40 years extra) for the SilkRoad but Karpeles goes to jail for two years. He can even skip jailtime for a good attitude.. wtf.
double standards ?

2924  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: March 18, 2019, 07:51:15 AM
Hi @iasenko,

I have a question, which criteria to identify spambuster in your club?
Some weeks, I appeared in your list, and not only me, some weeks even @LoyceV appeared in your club too.

Do you identify spambuster through post per minute rate or something like this?

I'm not really sure what you mean, but let me put it this way>
If you want to join the club you need 300+ good reports, in other words access to this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reportlist;mine

Everyone can report here, The Club is just a tool to skip the double reporting and save you, the mods, and everyone reporting, some precious time.
Also it was meant to popularize the reporting among the newbies. After the announcement of the report badges things have changed and (almost) everyone started reporting only for the badge Wink

Now since big part of the spam is gone, thank to theymos of course, the club is not fully operational. There are not so many threads like before, therefore I don't open a new case for every post here.

If I see the need, I'll start again. For now I think the forum spam situation is acceptable and manageable.

Another important thing:

Appearing in some of the lists here does't mean anything. There are no accusation or anything based on the lists. The posted lists are often raw data of posters in a specific thread or using specific word. I had theymos listed a few times Cheesy

And again, if you don't know how to detect the rule-breakers check my guide here :
[Guide]How to detect rule-breakers.Techniques and tips.

Now the last one was also nuked.
So the big part of the farm got nuked but some accounts have slipped through and stil posting garbage.

Any way to list all the accounts created on September 28 2018?
This can be a useful script (if you don't have it existing already).
2926  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: March 13, 2019, 04:24:47 PM
I stopped opening cases as the crazy spam is no longer a problem, but now if you need I can open one.

That's great,

Seems like they are all connected as I expected. They have been posting the same shit from different accounts. Interesting if you can list all the accounts posted this link

2929  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: March 13, 2019, 11:58:09 AM
In me opinion the price is expensive,  are ~23€ or ~26$ for posibility to public images...
If you browse around the forum for a while you'll see that the price is actually low. The membership gives you more privileges, not only posting images but wearing signatures, which some people consider to be a very valuable option. In addition some cool down times are greatly reduced, like sending PMs, reporting posts etc.
2930  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to avoid getting suspended on Twitter when performing Twitter bounties. on: March 13, 2019, 11:00:37 AM
~
I do not think there are rules in Twitter that explicitly provide a penalty or a ban when promoting cryptocurrencies but most of what happens because of the spam and paid subscriptions.

It was a wave of closing accounts back in the day, when the Bitcoin price was high. Many traders were affected, some were temporary banned some completely deleted. I was following those and my account was also got suspended for sharing charts, and price predictions and basically for not providing telephone number to "secure my account".
For example this guy was banned for about a month > https://twitter.com/cryptocred
Of course big part of those who got suspended were bots, imposers and fraudsters for sure, so sharing crypto-related info can get you in trouble.
2931  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBuster! Over 7000+ accounts reviewed : [23.11] on: March 13, 2019, 09:18:18 AM
As I expected, 95 % of the participants are registered on the same date and almost the same time...
I archived it (again) just in case it's needed.
@LoyceV, you have a database of the recent posts, right? Any possibilities to check if those users have posted together in previous threads?
No need to come with list yet, it's just for info Wink

It's for a good cause.. c'mon.

~
Well, thank you for giving that encouragement, but I am sure it is indeed very difficult to gather merit to be able to raise rank to full member. I really believe they have prepared a new surprise for next month, only a few weeks left. LOL  Grin
Well, noting is impossible take me as example, you are registered one month before me, and I got til now more than 800 merit and I'm not any GURU guy, just an ordinary guy like everyone else here.
Let me give you a tip, go out of your posting behavior, instead of wringing 1-2 liners, try to make analysis, show your own points of view and avoid using clichés. Think outside the box and be creative.
Change the main question from " What to write to make money" to "What to do to make this place better". This is a way to develop yourself and a way to higher ranks without polluting the forum and taking the chance to be banned for stupid things like plagiarism and spam.
Everyone can do it, just use your head!! (not someone else's head)
2937  Other / Meta / Re: [Updated March 9] LoyceV's Saturday morning newspaper (I mean Trust list viewer) on: March 12, 2019, 08:12:02 AM
Damn, reading the subject line I thought that I'm gonna read the latest news /hottest topics in the forum.. it was a bit disappointing but could be a good idea for someone to make a weekly overview of what is happening in the forum.
I like the idea, but wouldn't know which board to use.
My suggestion would be to create a self-moderated topic, where anyone can post forum news. To keep the quality high, all posts that don't receive Merit within 24 hours should be deleted.

I was thinking to do it myself. Gather all the interesting threads and topics for the week and add a brief description for each link but I started with my house renovation project and I don't have a free time for this. Hope around the summer to be finished with the big things. Then it will be better.
2938  Other / Meta / Re: Is it a forum bug? A copper member and stood at member rank wears avatar! on: March 12, 2019, 08:04:20 AM
So I was right about it.
Don't give up, you may rank up one day, till then just check again with the admins, now they are not so busty as before, except probably theymos is preparing the 1st of April surprise Cheesy

I remember this case.
He requested the admins to remove the avatar but seems like he never got the chance.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2954878.msg30413511#msg30413511

What i think is maybe he was a full member and got some posts deleted and went to member but still wearing his avatar. It was a forum clean up at that time.  Then the Merit came and he never made it to Full Member again.
Just a logical assumption.
He is registers in September, I was registered in November and I needed just 2 weeks to rank up to Full member before the merit came. So technically it's possible.

There is another misery, how those accounts got avatars since they were created after the merit system.
2939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think is the most surprising thing in the History of Bitcoin? on: March 11, 2019, 04:18:35 PM
The most surprising thing is that the group/person that created bitcoin, made it not for personal/financial benefits but made a huge gift to the humanity in general.

They should be nominated for Nobel prize even they are anonymous.
2940  Other / Meta / Re: Is it a forum bug? A copper member and stood at member rank wears avatar! on: March 11, 2019, 02:27:36 PM
Am I missing something? I’m pretty sure merits aren’t “deleted” along with deleted posts. It just shows as “X merit to Y for post (Deleted)”, but they still exist and counts to your total merit.
No, merits are not deleted for deleted posts, and I don't think it will ever happen. On the other hand there was a merit source with reversed (deleted) merits  (102 or so merits were deleted) so I guess this can be the case here. Only theymos can delete merits as per now.
