2921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's guess the bitcoin Price ;D on: December 12, 2016, 02:03:05 AM
I think the OP had a good surprise to see the price of bitcoin increase much more than predicted by him when this post was written last year. I think Bitcoin is in a very favorable position in the market, it is possible to notice certain stability in the range above the seventy dollars, and it seems that the uptrend is still strong.

I think so. his prediction is wrong because now bitcoin price is almost $800. it means that twice than his prediction for this year. probably in 2015 bitcoin price in December was not too high (I forgot it anyway)

well I think in the next year bitcoin price will be $1300 by the end of the year. in 2020 it is probably around $2k
2922  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: December 11, 2016, 11:31:18 PM
I do. how can I disbelieve fiat while it is kind of money used in my country? bitcoin is not legal and used by a few people only. so I cannot change fiat I got with bitcoin. that's why I still believe in fiat because I have to. I find no other way.
2923  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: December 11, 2016, 11:25:02 PM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.

No one will give money for free in this globe even with bitcoin also, there many ways to make bitcoin but it will take lot of time and you need to work a lot for that. There many other option like signature, mining, faucets, twitter campaigns, free give away. You need to work a lot to make money and more over it is very time consuming also.

I agree. it is not easy to earn much money in a short time. but I have ever been in your position. I really needed money so I was into bitcoin trying to eran some pennies. the thing is I already knew some theories of bitcoin and an account, so I joined signature campaign and it worked.

well for you, I only suggest you to look for give aways in this forum, and go to service section to find whether you can do some easy services there to get money.
2924  Economy / Securities / Re: Searching for partner | Location with 14Kw | FREE ELECTRICITY on: December 11, 2016, 02:06:53 PM
so you are looking for an investor to invest his money on somewhere in Portugal with free electricity, right?

then what do you offer to those who want to be your partners? probably you can explain it more in detail.
2925  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: December 11, 2016, 01:59:15 PM
Imagine you had a daily income of 40$ each day in bitcoin, what would do with them and where would you invest them ?

I will use $15 to buy stuff to be sold in my campus like watch, skirt, pants, headscraft, etc because I think the profit of selling something is high enough. the other $15 I will save it for unpredictable needs. and $10 more to buy some foods and drinks to keep alive.
2926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: December 10, 2016, 10:56:49 PM
What the actual heck? What do you even mean?

If no one spends bitcoin, then there will be no blocks mined, because people mine blocks for profit and if for whatever reason they decide to not spend that money... It's just not logical.

The network will still be there, the ledger won't change. It's probably just the popularity of bitcoin has fallen down.
Exactly, if no one spends bitcoin there will be no circulation and bitcoin will be dead. That might happen in the future in case people will lose their trusts with bitcoins due to government regulations that will make the usage of bitcoin to be illegal.

Bitcoin will not die, it will stay as a bitcoin. But what will change is its value, it will no longer be valuable and will remain as a digital number only. The market will die and other altcoins will join too since they are not ready, not independent from bitcoin. Not only bitcoin will end but all of cryptocurrency will suffer from having no value at all. But hope this will not happen.

yeah, bitcoin would be like a died city, but it still exist. just no one use it, so it might be forgotten. however, it does not make any sense why people keep saving their money in a big amount and do not use it. if they no longer trust bitcoin, I think they would convert it to fiat. at least the money can be used.
2927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: San Francisco Metro System Hacked with Ransomware [Paid $70,000 in Bitcoin] on: December 10, 2016, 10:35:25 PM
Recently the San Francisco Metro System got Hacked with Ransomware resulting in free rides.

Quote
It is yet not clear exactly who was responsible for the attack (besides a pseudonym "Andy Saolis"), but according to local media reports, the agency's computers were being held by ransomware until the MUNI paid the equivalent of more than $73,000 in Bitcoin.

What do you think guys?
Isn't it bad for the bitcoin to be known as a bad thing in our lives?
*If it was posted before move to the correct board.

it is a big amount of money to be paid for data. but probably the data contains more important things than $73,000.

yeah, it is bad for bitcoin to be known as a bad things. that makes our family and people around think that we are criminals because we use bitcoin.
2928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are digital-images & bitcoins as secret-keys a bridge to the visual mainstream? on: December 10, 2016, 10:29:53 PM
Yes, the question is how safely you need it.

This -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661781.0
is a picture with a hidden private key. The way its hidden makes made it possible to decode. The minecraft server needed is probably down now, but I think you get the idea.

This -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766000.0
is another one, solved.

This -> https://twitter.com/coin_artist/status/736387780243165184
is still not solved.

the idea is great. I thought OP meant QR codes, but I was wrong. so the picture is made by our creativity. if someone wants to make one of the pictures, he can make it the way he wants.

well, I never heard a wallet offer such thing. probably people that make this thing just want to save their private keys they will not forget by using this way. but for wallet, I think it is enough to scan QR codes.
2929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bankers will destroy block chain tech, decentralization, bitcoin? on: December 10, 2016, 10:22:09 PM
1. How are you going to stop the bankers trying to dictator crypto?
probably the way to do is using bitcoin than saving money to banks

2. Are you fully aware of things that are going on?
not really. I am trying to take it easy about things in this world because I have so many things to be aware of

3. What measures are you taking now?
using bitcoin, earn bitcoin to fulfill some needs
2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [FORBES] Is Bitcoin Better Than Gold? on: December 10, 2016, 10:12:06 PM
of course bitcoin is better for now looking at the high price. so people are most interested in something that makes them get higher profit. cmiiw.

Quote
Does this make Bitcoin a better long term investment than gold?
probably because the unstable price makes it special, and when the price goes up, we cannot predict how high it will be
2931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the news on: December 09, 2016, 01:49:28 PM
this show us how fast things move... this whole area(computing related) is just insane.
lots of investors putting money in bitcoin for the future(me included) and it could be dead in a few years.

with or without bitcoin, i'm sure blockchain technology will be used. it's the most important thing bitcoin brought.

yeah things move fast in this game,  but i doubt bitcoin will be dead in a few years.  the community value is massive and the fundementals are good (at the moment) i think once we get past the scaling debate.  Roll Eyes

some stuff change so fast by the time. so does tech like bitcoin. we never know what will happen in the next few years, whether people will still use bitcoin or not. but probably some people are interested in bitcoin after watching that video.
2932  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BITSANE.COM Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform Is Now Live on: December 09, 2016, 01:44:37 PM
Some people here are gave good idea for bitsane, I think I have a good idea too. I really wish that exchange site give me a notification in real time when my transaction is done, I mean if I make an order to sell my bitcoin in certain price, I will get a notification in my phone when the transaction done.

Sucess for bitsane.
They will certainly consider good suggestions that will make their site more popular due to lot of good features, this is a business and they need to compete with the reputable exchange sites that are popular now. It's really simple to compete, just follow their strength and improve their weaknesses.

With that, you can attract more clients and stay trustworthy as it's the most important thing to maintain.

of course, they do. but still they need some suggestions from the costuners because sometimes a creator or founder thinks that his system is good enough, but for some costumers, it still needs some reparation. no matter. people are different in thinking a way to develop something.
2933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: December 09, 2016, 01:35:54 PM
Yes already I had learnt lesson from exchange site. Exchange site are always on their way to loot money especially those site which are less trusted and sometimes more truthful site also runs away with money. They don't have mercy.

That is why we must be choosy to the exchange sites that we are going to invest to. There are poor exchange sites and almost no user and only shitcoins are existing. We must choose exchanger that have already established its name on the market they are less likely to scam you. We must read reviews, trust ratings and the years of existence of an exchanger before placing your coins.

yeah. we need to analize the exchange before saving coins in it. just try to look for some testimonies from those who use an exchange. when you find it good or recommended, then go ahead, but if it is not, just stop.

the point is just be careful in everything you do. think several times before doing something.
2934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Indonesian Largest Bitcoin Exchange Reach 788 USD while Other in 770 USD area on: December 09, 2016, 01:32:07 PM
There are few things that can easily boost price in local exchanger like;
1. Sudden increase in demand which may have been tiggered by something like in India few weeks ago price per bitcoin get pumped really hard and reached almost $900 per bitcoin because government of india banned high value notes. And you can see price per bitcoin is still higher in indian exchanger even more than $800 right now.

2. Limited supply, Most of the developing countries have really tight foreign currency rules/regulation so that you can't just deposit fiat to any exchanger outside your country. So there will be no choice other than buying bitcoin at local exchanger from few sellers in the price those sellers are happy to sell their bitcoins.

Nothing to surprise in having higher price in local bitcoin trading platform than other international market.

yeah. I think it is true. there are a lot of people want to own bitcoin in Indonesia because the price is going up this month and last month, that's why the demands increase. and the most famous site to buy and sell bitcoin in Indonesia is vip.bitcoin.co.id. so some people buy and sell bitcoin there. cmiiw.
2935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle CEO on BTC: Nobody Will Be Using Bitcoin in 5 to 10 Years on: December 09, 2016, 05:39:53 AM
This was earlier posted and discussed in our one of social media groups and for me it's just a FUD. There was already a numerous times when those experts claimed that bitcoin will be doomed nor can't be widely used worldwide.

"Our view is that we’re still in the really early stages of the technology and its development. It’s highly unlikely that any of us will be using Bitcoin in five or ten years"

- development means continous and no one can predict accurately what will be the exact output to happen

agree. the tech is still developed, but it does not mean that the tech will die. it has possibility to be better tech and is accessible for everybody.

besides, bitcoin is 8 years and it is still accessible untill now. well the man told his prediction, and not all prediction will be right.
2936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with lost bitcoins on: December 09, 2016, 05:26:21 AM
We all know that there can be no more than 21M bitcoins. We also know that every day some bitcoins get lost forever. That means that they still exist on the blockchain, but no one can access them since the keys are lost. I don't think that this is a right thing. We should recover these coins somehow, and that issue could be addressed eventually. I suggest setting a grace period of, say, 10 years (or 50 years if 10 years is too little) after which all wallets that remain untouched during that time and not reclaimed by anyone, should be declared as public property. The transactions that credited these bitcoins to such a wallet should be cancelled (just like correcting entries are made in a real ledger), and the coins should be moved to a new wallet, for example, to finance scientific research...

In this way, we will always have 21M bitcoins after the last bitcoin is mined and can also "resurrect" lost bitcoins for the common good

is that possible to take control of someone's wallet without its private key? who do you mean can send those forgotten coins?

well, it is big problem that people forget their private keys. but I think, it is not that easy to control all forgotten private keys unless it is controlled by many people or a good system. imo.
2937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: December 06, 2016, 11:43:38 PM
What would you do?
Move onto another coin?
Cry all day long?
Throw your computer in the pool?
Eat 100 bananas?

crying all day long, throwing computer in the pool, and eating 100 bananas will not solve the problem. it is useless.

so if it would happen, it will be better to move onto another coins. there are a lot of altcoins. we can use to earn money either. just like bitcoin.
2938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 11:41:00 PM
there is my friend who talking about the bitcoin that bitcoin is getting too much powerful and stronger and no one can be replace it and they also trade with bitcoin and they getting a good profit from bitcoin trading and then i start to know about bitcoin.

a friend's talking is influenced us a little or much. I also heard bitcoin for the first time from my friend. he was really powerful in explaining me about bitcoin. I just thought, it might be a lie, but I saw he got money from trading, and then I tried to earn bitcoin too.
2939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: December 06, 2016, 11:37:29 PM
only those people who do not have any responsibility for the use bitcoin prohibited.
good people will use bitcoin for positive things. bitcoin is a useful technology that must be used carefully.
Really right, we should be responsible on using bitcoins even others said that it depends on the user on how he will use it but he need also to think and act a matured one to avoid conflicts. Remember the possible effects if someone caught doing illegal activities.

or those people use bitcoin for illegal activities because they have to do it. however, illegal activities will not bring you into happiness.

bitcoin is anynomous enough, probably that's why some people use it for illegal activities like gambling (for some countries), stealing, etc.
2940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the year 2100 on: December 06, 2016, 11:33:49 PM
The more time Bitcoin survives, the stronger it gets and more chances that it will keep living since having a long solid blockchain makes it more valuable than any new coin.

So any new system will need to have some game-changing technology to ever try to challenge Bitcoin. So yes, its not reasonable to think that BTC will still be very relevant in 2100.

probably it will be still relevant, it can be used, or even it can be legal in all of the countries over the world.
everybody here hopes that.

now, the question is, will the earth be still alive on 2100?  Grin just question. does not need an answer.
