Thanks.

I don't think so:

Aim for 870W I think at full load.
And given it's not an industrial PSU, you'll wear it down quick

Not much point then Sad. Oh well thanks for the help with my curiousity.
2932  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: March 11, 2016, 12:22:47 PM
Well after a couple of quick calculations I could run one at 250m and two at 150m and get 1.1th @ 888w. Or one at 225 and two at 175 for 1.15th @ 913w. Or third option all three at 193m which would be just under 1.05th @915w.

What do you guys think?

Having three underclocked would redice the noise to a minimum at an ambient temp of 20c.

I'm just trying to maximise my PSU as I can't have an S5 due to noise levels  Undecided

1- 0.829 + 0.817x2= 2463J/Ghs => 2463 /1.1Ths = 2239
2- 0.816 +0.803x2= 2422 J/Ghs =>2422 / 1.15Ths = 2106
3- 0.793x3 = 2379 J/Ghs => 2379 / 1.05Ths = 2265

Option 2 is the most efficient given the difference in Ghs/sec

Thanks for working out the efficiency. So you reckon the PSU would be alright at safe at 913w?

Is it possible to run 3 X s3's on a corsair rm1000? Even if one was underclocked.

Would the under locking reducing the voltage aswell or would it still run at 340w?

you would have to underclock them so much you might as well run 2 at full speed..

150M 302ghs is 247W
200M 403ghs is 323W
225M 450ghs is 367W

so with 1000W you can run 3 at 150M for 906ghs @ 741W or 2 at 225M for 900ghs @ 734W

That's what I thought. Is there not freq setting inbetween the 150 and 200? Even on kanos update? (I would look myself but at work).
