2061  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 08, 2016, 05:07:49 PM
Lower the freq it mines at and see if it comes back. These are old machines now so more than likely that chip wont come back but its worth lowering the mining freq just to try it out.
2062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 08, 2016, 05:02:59 PM
Quick question. Whats the average fan speed the S9 does to stay at the temp it needs (I know its ambient temperature dependant)? Also whats the max RPM the fans do?
4300rpm fan and a 6000rpm fan.
This question is highly S9 model and ambient temperature etc. dependant. Try to find the sweet spot in your conditions.

Thanks HagssFIN. Just trying to work out whether (when I have enough BTC) to buy an S9 or an R4. As its the noise that would drive me crazy. My S7LN fan speed never gets above 1800rpm in an abient of 19-20degreesC. I know the heatsinks are larger so cool more effectively but the S9 or R4 would only be clocked to run at 4TH anyway so im hoping I could get the fan speed down to 1800-2000rom on the S9. Does that sound feasible?

So now maybe Bitmain will start to sort themselves out and offer a real warranty service and possibly reduce their prices  Undecided

Not sure if it's any help but I got a ton of rejects when I set up load balance between the theee pools on my S7LN. I was told by -ck it's because they mine other sha256 type coins aswell. Which explains why the diff required kept changing by itself.

Gotcha Philip.
2068  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Quick question, kano.is or slushpool? on: November 06, 2016, 05:55:40 PM
Solo mine. Been a fair few blocks lately on the solo.ckpool
2069  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Adding/Changing priority of a pool in a S3 on: November 06, 2016, 05:54:26 PM
No idea what a green wallet is but you can't mine straight to a wallet address. Each pool will give you details on where to point the miner to and usually you have a username and worker name you need to put in the miner config page aswell.
2070  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (AUS) Antminer r4, listed on ebay! on: November 06, 2016, 02:33:55 PM
So what sort of price are you wanting for it now? Also have you got a screenshot of the GUI page?

Another dormant account hacked on ebay, selling antminer s9 for $1500 btc only

How do you know they were dormant?

I would recommend Eastshore instead of those Ebay sellers.
You can buy from them via their web site www.eastshore.xyz or via Aliexpress.
With Aliexpress you get a buyer protection like with the Ebay.

I've bought one S9 from them directly via their web site and it is running nicely.
I just ordered another one and it is on the way to Finland via Fedex.

How long was/is delivery? Did they do the customs declaration as they state? Also how did you pay them? Btc or credit card through aliexpress?

Hi Erkallys,

How are the ducts coming along?

Thanks.
2074  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (AUS) Antminer r4, listed on ebay! on: November 06, 2016, 08:56:57 AM
So it's only running at half power as it's lost a hashing board?
2075  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS maybe] S7-LN (sidehack modified). on: November 05, 2016, 03:45:19 PM
sorry, I don't understand "sidehack units" any links? is it a physical mod or software and can it be reverted back to standard?

Also. What power are you drawing at wall for a 445m getting 2Th setting?

I am in uk also, so very interested in either cash or BTC, but I dont know what its worth modded, might have to wait till others can guide me.

Its pulling around 430watts at the wall (as stated in my original post;) ). Also as posted my another member this miner has been "tuned" for peak efficiency by another member on here called "sidehack" he has designed and built (alongside another member) the Compac BM1384 USB bitcoin mining stick which was sold in the EU via www.bitshopper.de, so he knows his stuff about electronics  Wink

HI, im interested and in the uk, could you pm me where abouts and what your looking for it.
Cheers

Im in Essex, im open to offers. This thread was purely for seeing how much it would go for as I am only contemplating selling it at the moment.
2076  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS maybe] S7-LN (sidehack modified). on: November 04, 2016, 09:28:01 PM
I could offer maybe 150?

this does not include a psu correct?

i'm guessing shipping from US

Correct this does NOT include a psu. Shipping would be from the U.K. Your offer, what currency is that in?
2077  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: bfgMiner Issues with 60ghz butterfly lab unit total noob confused on: November 04, 2016, 05:43:16 PM
The BFL 60Ghs unit is SHA256 and you wont make much on nicehash with it. Your alienware is probably CPU mining an altcoin so will make more but will kill the CPU relatively quickly. YOu need an ASIC of the Terrahash (Ths) range of power or more to earn anything. Then its all subject to electricity cost anyway as to whether you make a profit or loss.
2078  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS maybe] S7-LN (sidehack modified). on: November 04, 2016, 05:27:59 PM
Just wondering what you guys would think is a good price to sell a Sidehack'd S7LN for?

Currently underclocked at 445m getting 2Th (but will run at regular and overclocked crews aswell) Really is a quiet machine running under my desk.

HW Error rate over the past 12days (since I restarted it after a clean) is 23errors which reads as 0.0000% so it works really well.

Sidehack adjusted the board voltage so it would run more efficient than original. Its currently pulling about 430w (at 445m) from the wall through an EVGA 850 P2 psu (not for sale)

Any help on a good price for it would be nice.

Thanks.
2079  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: November 04, 2016, 05:00:09 PM
No, the auction sticks are a real thing and will go out in the next couple weeks.

Sweet, got a tad confused. But yes a multi chip USB would be a great addition to the USB collection. Ill have to change the current setup now though  Roll Eyes
2080  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: November 04, 2016, 04:46:22 PM
Multi-chip USB stick is good for me aswell.  Grin

Does that mean the auction sticks are now a no go? Would the equivalent value be put towards the new USB sticks?
