2921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Hates BTC: "Forget Bitcoin: Here are The Crypto Assets To Follow" on: May 05, 2021, 10:48:14 AM
Netscape was in the early days of the internet the most popular browser. Other companies released their own versions (like Internet Explorer) and Netscape started losing ground until it was eventually completely abandoned. Since bitcoin is the oldest cryptocurrency, he believes the coin will lose its market share because newer, faster, and less costly coins already exist. However, the market plays by its own rules, and even though bitcoin isn't the fastest and cheapest coin to transfer value with, it is the safest and most decentralized one. Investors trust bitcoin more than any other crypto, so the opinion of the author makes no difference.

Yeap, hence why I said that the journalists are simply ignorant. Bitcoin is always being compared to early iterations of certain platforms/software; despite Bitcoin being not just any kind of software, as it's a protocol. It's quite a significant difference.

They are ignorant because they don't know much information about bitcoin also they are one sided and always think about negatively on bitcoin expect something like this comparissons, and bitcoin alwats show dominance thru out years. I wonder how far we can go with this and let see if there are still people will think negatively if we see more huge upwarde and adoption.
2922  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 05, 2021, 09:45:21 AM
Well, we can certainly hope that with enough community pressure, we can collectively influence at least some of their decisions. This is a public forum after all.
Which community are you talking about? Let me give you a fun fact, the majority of the high roller in Roobet and most players that currently wager in Roobet dont really care about this KYC anymore. They fill in the level 1 KYC and still continue to wager, feel free to check in the Roobet's chatroom and see if you can find alot of people complaining about this

I personally seen few people complain about this but as time goes, most dont really feel bothered by it.
I agree with others, you do not get to decide what is pointless and what is not for other people. I personally left roobet the moment they forced KYC down our throats, I am sorry but you can't suddenly change ideas about how you run business without asking your customers, in that case they will leave. They can find other people from other places, maybe that would be a lot better for them but that doesn't change the fact that other people from other places may not like this neither.

Even if everyone aside from me would love this idea, they all applied their KYC already, and they are in love with it that doesn't mean that I have to shut up about it. If I have a problem with this place, if I liked it here but then something changed, that means I will end up talking about what would be the best way to approach this in the end and complain what I believe is a valid feedback.
Everyone could really have their own feedback and opinion on such change but its true that not all players on Roobet are basically came from into this forum but rather in the outside of this place.

Somehow there are still handful numbers which do came into this forum which do play out on the site and majority of them do really mind off about privacy and once this had been changed and

currently been asking out some KYC then that would really be a big issue for their part even not to others but its up to personal choice.

Many think that since they are using cryptocurrency they should be anonymoud but for what laws implementing the legit site sometimes force to comply so that they will not penalize by the government thats why we always say to select reputable site since if they require something like this we will not be worried about our personal data.
2923  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Alien World - Blockchain game on: May 04, 2021, 11:22:51 PM
.

Bawal ba same IP?

(Chrome?)

Hindi naman siguro tatlo kami dito nag mimina gamit isang IP pero wala namang nangyari pero based lang to sa nakikita ko sa mga fb group yung wala kana nakukuha sa pagmimina mo e yun ban kana not sure pero pwede mo e verify sa discord channel nila.

Tsaka try mo din mag clear cache at magiging maayos na yang browser mo.
2924  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 04, 2021, 12:39:27 PM
I know we already heard the rumor if Alibaba has bought $20billion in bitcoin. They will publish their unaudited Q1 2021 report on this May 13th,

Source : https://www.google.com/amp/s/zycrypto.com/alibaba-rumored-to-have-bought-20-billion-in-bitcoin-will-this-come-to-fruition/%3famp

What do you think? If this really true, remember what happened when TESLA announced they have invested $1.5billion in BTC?

Quote
USA: Tesla buys $1,5bn in Bitcoin. China: Alibaba, hold my beer.

I highly doubt that Alibaba has bought that much crypto.

Firstly, if they did, then the price action would be a lot crazier than they are currently. Unless they spread out their buys over a period of months which is very, very unlikely, a purchase of this size would swing the market up a lot more than the current price action suggests.

I have doubts about that news also since maybe they are spreading that information to hype and its so dangerous for us to engaged with it especially if we get FOMO when the price starting to ride up, but as I see there's no big move happening so I assume that we are right about our speculation since market is at stable situation right now.
2925  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa needs to fix continent, richest people are politicians on: May 04, 2021, 11:23:18 AM
Forget Dangote and the rest of the billionaires, the richest people in Africa are politicians. Africans need to reevaluate and rethink their system, so much power is given to the politicians and without any checks or balances. How can an ex-governor not be tried in court for his mischievous activities because there is a written document that said so who signed the documents is it the populace? They loot millions of dollars and stack them up for their families whereas the masses are suffering.
They even go as far as banning the trading of cryptocurrencies because they feel people might benefit from it. When the world is enjoying it. African needs to be taken to the hospital and given proper treatment because they are moving backward. More strength to their youth as many are still thriving in the harsh environment.

If politicians are the only people rich in your country then why people still elect them? On next election people should erase them on their balots and find those politician who have political will to make your country better. Its no use at all if citizens will continue to trust them since your country cannot advance if corrupt officials are still on tgeir sets.
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 04, 2021, 10:17:07 AM
Lakers looking good without Lebron James, leading by 10 against the Nuggets. Anthony Davis is having the best game since he comes back from injury.

Not an impressive win though. The Lakers still needs to improve their ball rotation and plays. Lucky their bench was draining some threes from Gasol and Matthews, and a good winning block from AD at the end of the game.
They were up 10 down the stretch and the Nuggets was able to close the gap at 2.
So, again not an impressive win. I know there was no LeBron and so the Nuggets has no Murray as well.

That's a though game for them but lets give a good credit for their win although its not fantastic win but remember nuggets not a joke team they are so strong eventhough they don't have Murray, also Davis just cameback from i jury so I don't expect him to be on his 100% so may e after this though match they will adjust according to what they do on the series, playoffs is different atmosphere so expect more competitive lakers when they possibly face each other again.
2927  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: May 03, 2021, 11:57:55 PM
The answer is definitely and absolutely, no. Bitcoin can
Let's stop insisting war and competition between the two aforementioned organizations. They have their specific purposes. Both serve as an alternative option one way or another to the majority. Without the banks, economy will most likely suffer. Without the bitcoin community, people would lose platform/medium to generate income and/or to invest with.
To many people thinking that it can overcome something giant while we all know how strong the fiat system is for sure there will be no ending discussion about this but its easy to think why this overcoming a certain institution will never happen to bitcoins, maybe the global adoption and usage will spread but we will see only bitcoin as alternative since law makers will surely supports fiat(Central Banks) at any cost.

<snip>
Tas isang linggo nang nakaflagged yung account ko :> Reason is nag mine ng more than 12 hours haha.

2929  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 03, 2021, 11:47:07 AM
Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronics cash system while Agriculture is the production of crops and rearing of animals for man's use. I am a farm who is into subsistence and plantation farming in my country, but i find it difficult to use bitcoin to improve my farm the way others business men use bitcoin to improve their investment.how can i use bitcoin to improve my plantation farm? Does it mean farmers cannot use bitcoin to improve their peasant or plantation farm?
Kindly share your idea to help someone.
You can accept bitcoin as a means of payment for your farm produces. You can include bitcoin in your company's investment portfolio.

This will really end the discussion since its so simple to answer this question where if he want to support bitcoin then he can start with accepting it as an option on his business, I'm sure it will create a good effect since this could bring more hype since bitcoins will have another good usage on agriculture sections.

Is this issue haven't done yet? the KYC thing.

I have a small amount there and I didn't fill up the KYC level one because I'm waiting for some results on it and how it will go.
Just want to know. In KYC verification level 1, what are those features that you can able to do, what I mean by that I can able to withdraw a small amount?

For seeing no complaints coming from many gamblers I don't really think that this KYC implemented here is an issue maybe Robeet is compyling something to make their casino compliance to the law, If you want to continue your playing career or whatever you call it here better do it since you maybe wasting your time waiting and I don't think they will ruined their reputation for just collecting their users personal data.
2931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla and market manipulation crime on: May 02, 2021, 11:09:28 PM
anyone has the right to sell at any point in time unless there is a law that states how long you can hold before you sell. i dont see it as market manipulation way. even if they are charged, i believe they will win. what abut others that bough without making announcement who would charge them for selling ?

Absolutely they have money invested on it so expect this selling scenario with them although we know how influencial they are I think we should treat their selling time as normal since they are also the same like us where if we already get a profit we sell it. Maybe there's some part that their top person hype it up but for me its normal.
2932  Economy / Economics / Re: “You don’t spend money now, you can’t spend after you died” on: May 02, 2021, 12:39:25 PM

It’s the best financial advice, covid is the marketing keyword to remind you, if you don’t spend every last penny in the wallet, you can never have a chance to spend that again. Spend until you drop you plebs!

Your understanding regarding on that is wrong since how could you survive for lifetime if your mindset is to spend all your money for short while? We need to save for future since we don't save for nothing we save to have retirement plan and also money to use in emergency, We cannot achieve this if we do YOLO and this one is needed to be corrected since many people doesn't know how to spend their money wisely.
2933  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Alien World - Blockchain game on: May 02, 2021, 11:10:26 AM
sakto naghahanap ako ng mapaglilibangan now kabayan. nahuli nako sa axie di kona kaya sumabay at kumita pa.
Mukhang OK tong shared mo aralin ko nga now.

Thanks Mate ..
Para sakin medyo late na ng onti, pero tingin ko worth it parin if magsisimula na ngayon. Di nga lang ganon kalaki yung nakukungang TLM katulad nung mga nakaraang weeks and months.

Halos parehas tau karanasan lods.

I have found one, Swerte ko dun sa alt na yun almost 20k php yung nakuha ko na value from that token at masaya nako dun.

2935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do the same scenario in 2018 ? on: April 30, 2021, 10:20:31 AM
i am wondering if Bitcoin will fall again like it happened in 2018 after the Bull run !
even in this time the price raised too much faster in shorter time.
last two days Bitcoin price felt 10000 $
i know that some news affect the market, but should we sell now in this panic ! or should we hold  Undecided
i am a little bit confused

are you really asking for answer or you have just sold yours already?
because if you truly believe in bitcoin capacity there is no chance in making post like this.

but if you are planning to sell then do it now so we can catch your selling and added in our holding and you will remain waiting for the fall but it wont come because bull will run once more to reach 100k

Maybe he's just gathering the people's opinion to gather some basis if he will do hold or not since its really risky to do so if you don't know on what you are doing on your bitcoins since if you are newbie you might gonna temp to sell your profit at low rate or might you will dump all your coins when you see a heavy selling orders happened in the market. I call this asking as good action made by him since it can save him from future hype.
2936  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2021, 09:17:47 AM
But as of now, USD is being used worldwide as reference currency to value anything at any part of the world which helps everyone to understand the worth of a product rather than interrupting values in local currency. In short, one world currency will be useful when you transact with foreigners. So, having worldwide one currency will help all of us time to time and here we are discussing bitcoin will replace USD on this regard.

Euro is one currency for all European counties. Probably bitcoin may get recognized as digital gold at first and then slowly may reach to the status of one world currency.

Precisely. The US Dollar is used by many countries worldwide because of its stability and reliability. On the other hand, the Euro is used by European countries for all debts public and private. If various countries adopt a single Fiat currency, I don't see why it isn't possible with Bitcoin. All it takes is for mainstream governments to trust Bitcoin as a legitimate medium of exchange. Then, we can talk about Bitcoin being the "One World Currency" for all.

Maybe volatility is the issue why this global adoption slowly happening in terms of merchants adoptions, but what good thing is there are few merchants already showing some good acceptance on major crypto's if many more will adopt it then provably we can see more transaction and increase of usage on bitcoins then maybe we can see bitcoin make it the same wit Euro and US dollar which gain a massive usage by people all around the globe.
2937  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet, Stake or Sportsbet - Which is best? on: April 29, 2021, 11:17:01 PM
are you the owner of cloudbet ? but it was nice to see this message coming from you . this is like a defence to your site and to inform others if what are the advantages of this site to the two .
The pointers given on that post were actually true. And despite facing issues, they able to solve them with their own resolutions. If I'm not mistaken, they are the oldest crypto-sportsbook that still operating today. They faced tough competition before against Directbet, NitrgonSports (which is also active today), etc.

They manage to maintain their reputation despite of heavy lambasting them with many scam accusations before but still they solve those and give a good action so that they can mantain their business running until today. If I'm going to choose on where to bet I will go on Cloudbet since they are quite reasonable for now.
2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 29, 2021, 01:22:01 PM

I wasn't expecting that Mavericks would win that big against the GSW. Too bad I wasn't able to put a bit on the high odds like Mavs winning 11+ or more, that should have been a jackpot. Hopefully next time, I can spot a game like that,  Grin

You can already see how serious they are now,  GSW and Mavericks are not ensured yet with their standing, so they need to play hard to win here.

With that win earlier they secured their spot on the number 6 in the playoff in the western conference. If luck is in their way, Mavericks can give you the best play you can watch. especially when you see Luka Doncic doing his thing in a game.

Let us not forget that Dallas are winning even without KP, maybe they can trade him in the future to get a more durable (not prone to injury) player to play with them and help them to improve their defense, Luka needs some big help as he can't handle the big teams alone come this playoffs.

He's supposed to be a good trade asset on the team but for his current situation many team ownerd will dou t about his health since they might not use him if he will be injured again although his a good caliber player still the mindset of team evolves now mostly teams looks for young healthy stars to be added on their rooster.

He hasn't proven yet actually, he is not a big deal anymore on the team, due to his inconsistency, it has affected the team's rotation and probably the chemistry too. Look at Dallas, they started winning because they have adjusted on KP's absence, but the moment he'll return, they need to adjust again and they'll be inconsistent.

I think he's overhype by now maybe media is giving him a good exposure but actually in reality you are right and if he came back provably he can't contribute like before since for sure he's playing style well became different since he's injury prone. Many teams would avoid players which is something like that. I don't know if Mavs will hold him when his contract expires but as other stated its good to trade him to accumulate good pieces which can truly help them in their run.
2939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go below $40,000 on: April 29, 2021, 12:21:23 PM
Looks like we are again going for a dive, look at the price now.

Today, the price is below $50,000 and it's dropping big time, my question, with this movement, will we see a bitcoin price below $40,000?

I've seen that there's a significant downturns previously but that doesn't mean we're going to be discouraged, in fact we should be glad if we're going to see $40k once again. The more fluctuations that tend to exist, the more opportunities to come for all of us who've wanted to buy at cheaper price. For those who bought at high value, keep accumulating your balances while there's still a chance to see lower price coming.

The only one who get discouraged about that drops lately are those people who get a high hopes to earn thinking they can earn more if bitcoin pumping and they didn't even think that this dump will happen, mostly of them get panic and always secured their remaining cash and didn't do a buy back because they are afraid to get burned again.

Somehow your right if those people who got stuck accumulate more at the dip for sure they earn more money today since imagine how big the price accumulated for short time period only.

Actually I see a lot of not so famous personalities sa Social Media ngayong nagiging trend na din sa bansa ang crypto and I've seen a lot of TikTokers na nag iispread ng news about cryptocurrencies and investments pero sobraaa sobrang onti ng mga nakita kong nag wawarn or nag eeducate kasi madalas ang content is how to make money with crypto and/or how to invest pero di nahihighlight yung risks involved or should I say wala pakong nakitang may naggawa ng content na risk ang pinaguusapang topic about sa investment.
