2941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr on Aug 21 in Vegas on: May 23, 2021, 01:44:42 PM
I watch some vlogs on this fight and one of the vlogs I watched says Manny will win against Spence, and these are the factors that will make him win.

1- speed
2-experience
3-ring IQ (technique)...

The only thing that Spence backer says that he will win because he has a young body and he is hungry, they did not think how many championship fights Manny had and his experience is something that will make him outsmart his opponent.

They forgot one thing: Heart.

Manny has been in so many battles in his careers and he is getting better, plus he has the heart of the champion that can really makes the difference. He could be the underdog, but he can still win here by decision. Spence will win some rounds and so is Manny. Gonna be close and the fighter that want it more because they have the bigger heart will have the edge.

I missed that mate, thanks for adding, of course, that's why he is unique.

About the odds, I saw this one, https://en.as.com/en/2021/05/23/other_sports/1621767502_322245.html... and if this is true, I would not hesitate to take it, take a look.

Pacquiao-Spence odds and predictions
Early odds on the bout have Spence at 2/7 and Pacquiao very much the underdog with a price of 5/2.

If there's a bookie that are already offering this game, we can verify, but for now, this is the information we have, and I believe it's worth to share.

NLEX is good but they lack defense, that's what I observed since coach Yeng took over the coaching.

We all see that, that's why they will never win in the playoffs due to their lack of defense, also, most of their game are high scoring, that only tells that they are not focus on defense, rather than in offense, in fact, even big man is shooting 3's that's the design of play made by coach Yeng.

Well, since they are talking of a big man, maybe they already know their weakness and they are desperate to have a good one.

I also observe that, since they are now talking about big man  it's shows that they are working into something that would help the team.

It would be very nice gesture to show some interest in seeking for big players that would really help them to give good defense as they already have offensive players who can take care of this area.

I also see that if they can acquire Greg the chance of tighting the interior will help them to improve.

Coach Yeng is just a bit disappointed with his team's performance, or the current roster. I had heard a lot of bad comments from him, he seemed to be not getting what he wants with the current lineup, he missed a team that has a chance to be in the playoffs, NLEX just doesn't have that now. Getting a big man is important, but other teams are interested as well, and in the end, the biggest and the richest team will win, you know what I'm saying.

Brooklyn Nets made a really good start to the playoff games. They managed to beat Celtics home 104-93 home and got ahead 1-0 in the series. It looks like Durant, Harden and Irving all had a really decent performance. But I noticed that their performance when it comes to the 3-pointers was too bad.  Grin
It doesn't matter though, as long as they win, that's what matters. They are in a groove, they are complete and they can beat any teams in the West, even the 76ers. I don't know, but I have a feeling that the Celtics might get sweep this season.  Grin... hopefully they can win at least 1 game.

Good job on the winners of the Blazers and Miami Heat pick. Denver really missed the service of Murray, they can't stop the offense of the Blazers which are coming from different players. I have a feeling that Denver will lose in this series.

Anyway, the Clippers also loss in their first game at home, and with that, I saw an opportunity. I was looking at the betting odds of "NBA WINNER" and I saw that Clippers is 8.5 which would increase to 9.25 using price boost.

I think it's worth taking, what do you think?
2946  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 22, 2021, 09:52:46 PM
For me, Elon musk is the wealthiest crypto noob and it's was very dangerous if this kind of person purchase on crypto

So after he had purchased some bits, better to fasten your seatbelt as the chart will be not same anymore and it's happening like now!

How long can he play with the crypto space? It's just a matter of time before people will not anymore follow him. He can't manipulate the market all the time, people will learn and they will be smarter over time, so he better enjoy what he is doing now because it will not last long.

by the way, welcome back @izanagi narukami  Grin

1-0 in favor of the Bucks now, good start.

Khris Middleton had a game-winning shot, and holiday had some good block on the last attempt of Butler.
Congratulations to the Bucks, they deserve this win but I have a feeling the series will be close just like how close game 1 is.

The difference now is they have Jrue Holiday who scored 20 points in this game.
He will be a problem for the Heat for sure.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 22, 2021, 08:39:39 PM
As expected, it's a close game, it's not over yet but if Bucks wins the game, Heat might likely cover the spread.

Nice call @cryptomaniac_xxx and @stadus.

edit: Damn! Butler does it again, OT time!
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 22, 2021, 01:20:30 PM
Kiefer feels a big man can turn NLEX from good to great. Beau perhaps?

What do you guys think?

I think if it's Beau Belga, it will not give big impact to the team, I like a big man that is dominant and I think if they can get  Greg, it could help them.
I know JMF is better than Greg, but at least Greg could give JMF a hard time when they play against each other.

Agree with you, if NLEX could get Slaughter then it could boost their team as they are lacking a legit big man now with the departure of Poy Erram. Beau is more of a defensive stopper and he is not young anymore so i think he would be just a mentor to the young guns of the team that will pick him.

Bigs are very important in the PBA, we only have few legit bigs who are really tall, and AFAIK, it's only JMF and Greg who have that, other bigs are not really that tall.

Greg is currently playing with the NOP, but we know this team would not hold a very important player, and eventually, Greg will be traded, NLEX just needs to hope that they will get Greg and I don't think he will ever play with SMB teams again.

NLEX is good but they lack defense, that's what I observed since coach Yeng took over the coaching.

Bucks vs Heat is too early in my timezone, I need to be awake too early in the morning in order to watch this game.

Based on their Head to head record, Bucks won 2 out of the 3 meetings.
https://www.covers.com/sport/basketball/nba/matchup/244582

However, this is playoffs and things could be different, will we see a repeat in the last playoffs?

Already have pulled the trigger on this first game of the series and i'm tailing the majority here.

Nothing significant have changed on the roster of the Bucks while the Heat have added Oladipo on their line-up so i think we can see a repeat in this series, same of last year's result.

Bookies are not really tired of giving their money away.
The series odds for this matchup is really good if you bet on the heat.

In my bookie, the odds are as follows.

Quote
Bucks 1.32
Heat 3.35

Are they out of their mind? Or there's something they know that we don't know?

I was surprised seeing bitcoin suddenly dump.  After the Elon Musk fud, here comes the China FUD.

This will not stop as people might panic and bring bitcoin to even below $20k.
It's a correction together with FUD, it's a very effective strategy to bring the price down.

Our happy moments are over, we will not see bitcoin reach $100k this year, maybe in the next cycle of bull run

BUT STILL, HOLD!
2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 21, 2021, 03:09:24 PM
I will bet on the Suns in game 1, if they lose I will double in game 2, and if they win, I quit and look for another series to bet.

That's a good plan, can I follow it? lol... I wish I have a lot of money to spare, this is the time that betting should be intense but due to the pandemic, I have to save some for my basic needs. Of course, I will not pass the playoffs, I could still enjoy betting even smaller than my usual bet.

Don' worry mate, you don't have to parlay as Suns will take game 1 then give the rest of the games to the Lakers,  Grin
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 20, 2021, 09:39:26 PM
If teams can't beat the Lakers at their worst, then that's a problem and a big threat to them. What if they played on their best.

In their recent win against Golden State Warriors, the Lakers are shooting worst and despite it, they able to turn the table.

Lakers, or any team with Lebron on board is difficult to handle in a series match. Phoenix is doing great this season but I don't see them beating the Lakers in a head-to-head series match. Lakers in 6. Smiley

I like that prediction though but I like to see a really good match between the two. This is the best time for other teams to beat the Lakers as they are struggling a bit. I like betting in this kind of situation as we are seeing a very close match and that would result in very close odds, you know what I'm saying.

CP3 and the company should prepare for the Lakers, but if they will beat the Lakers, I would give my full respect to them as they deserve it for transforming from a shitty team to a great team. Coach Monty deserves the coach of the year award though and that will inspire them to play harder.
2954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 20, 2021, 09:25:40 PM
The Suns vs Lakers series might provide some good gambling opportunities considering the Lakers are supposedly the underdog.  The Suns have struggled a great deal against teams with a lot of size this year, and the Lakers have A LOT of size now with Drummond.  I feel pretty good about betting the Lakers on this series, and maybe going big on game 1 with a Lakers victory.  I really don't think the Suns have a chance whatsoever (they're my home team Cry) and would be surprised if they take a single game against the defending champs.

I'm not sure what are the odds for the Lakers to win in the series, but for game 1, the Suns are -3 against the Lakers, so maybe that tells that they are the underdog in the series. I like these odds compared to last time where the Lakers are a heavy underdog, we might see a good playoff this year in terms of attractiveness of odds.
2955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 19, 2021, 01:19:49 PM
This is a good read :
https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/guillermo-rigondeaux-vs-john-riel-casimero-who-wins/175755

Their prediction is that Rigondeaux will win, I like to hear from the fans of Casimero, what do you think?

Quote
I’m picking Rigondeaux to score the upset – if you want to call it that – and outpoint Casimero in a damn good fight in August. Then, maybe, Rigondeaux will face “The Monster.”

As to how that fight would go, we must see how much Rigondeaux looks to have left in the Casimero fight, and also see how much this fight takes out of him.

They have a point as Rigondeaux is a technical fighter with a wide experience and he can beat Casimero.

If only this fight was held five years ago then i think Rigo might have won as he was more of a defensive fighter and a technical too, i agree.

But with his age of 40, things have changed and the power and speed that Rigo have diminished with time while Casimero has been through a lot of battles outside of his home country.

As i've said before, Casimero have different style than Donaire. The latter is more of a counter puncher while the former is an aggressive fighter that he will take the fight to his opponent. Rigo will be overwhelm by Casimero when bell rings as he eager to prove to his fans that Rigo will not derail his path to a big fight with the Monster.

If that's what we are going to witness in the fight, I would be so happy. I will support the Filipino here, it's our "kababayan" so it's automatic that we will support him. Manny will soon retire from boxing, and it's just good to see a new fighter will become popular in the world.

Though this fight is not gonna happen soon, but I can already feel the excitement.
I've already seen a lot of youtube videos from Filipino bloggers and I love to watch their content.

This market dump still continues, how big the effect of Elon Musk anti bitcoin announcement?

I believe the price will dump but not this fast, we are just trading at 50k this week and now we are already down trading at $30k+...
I wonder if we will see more dip from now, this is a mess, people are panicking and we might see an early bear market.
2957  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will grow in the next six months on: May 16, 2021, 09:29:01 PM
These are just theories, but in reality, we don't see the future and therefore we cannot guarantee bitcoin will grow. We are now seeing positive opinion from experts and I'm afraid this would only result in a bigger dump as people who followed the FOMO are still convince to hold until they will just eventually sold their bitcoin if they will continue to see a major dump.

I've been in this scenario fast, after the bull run, when I see bitcoin dump, I still believe it will bounce back and recover, it recovers a bit, I continued to hold but what I didn't realize that the bitcoin dump is more frequent that its recover and eventually I dump.

I was new at that time and I was not able to handle my short-term investment, this time, I know I would do better.
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 16, 2021, 01:01:49 PM
And it could have a negative effect on Rigo too once he read Casimero's statement.

I don't think so, they are in the business for a long period of time already, it's not new to them, trash talk and everything, these are just words and it would help to hype the fight, but the real fight is in the right, not outside.

For sure! those trash talks are part of this business, marketing strategy to attract fans engagements, the more they use blatant words the more the fans

will get excited and see how it will going to executed. I use to remember those fighters who do this with Pacman, after the fight they've realized that
it was so wrong making statements to him as they've suffer the consequences.

For Casimero that is normal to him, he is a legit trash talker and has very high confidence in the ring. However, I would still admire him as he always challenges or accepts a challenge from the best in boxing, and since he was challenge by Rigo, he accepts it instantly.

All he wants is to give us a good fight, of course, he wants to be more successful too, and to reach that stage, he needs to beat the best.

Good luck to him, this isn't an easy fight for him but I believe he can win.
2959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Benefited from AME Token? on: May 16, 2021, 12:04:36 PM
It looks like everything worked out and we received payments for 6 and 7 weeks. In my case, this is ideal, because I did not participate in 8 and 9 weeks.
However, I believe that the team will continue to delay payments as long as possible, otherwise why not pay all at once?
Very good question, but unfortunately you are asking the wrong person because I am also not part of the AMEPAY team, and what has been paid for the 2nd round signature campaign is only one week, namely week 6, and week 7 I saw the team haven't made the payment yet.

You can follow this thread on the scam accusation board. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5318365.0

It looks like the accusation is still active because they have not released all the bounty, but hopefully, they will still release it since it's a win-win for the project and the bounty participants. If they will keep delaying, their reputation will remain bad and that is not good for the future of the project.

I think his journey in the PBA is quite successful already.

He started playing in the year 2006, so that's 15 years in PBA and he also won 4 championships in his career.

The old guys are leaving to give that opportunity to the young guns, hopefully, this will open a slot for the young players.
