It’s like a sigh of relief every time the Lakers get a win these days. They pulled it off tonight in overtime against the Toronto Raptors. It took a triple double by Russell Westbrook and a 36 point near triple double performance from LeBron James to pull it off. I guess a win is a win but it seems like they have to work pretty hard to barely squeak out a W against teams they should easily beat. Sad to see the old guys continue to struggle. They need AD back in a hurry if they want to make it into the postseason.
I agree. Good results whenever those MVPs worked together as a team and their stats prove it. They don't even need AD for this to happen but of course, it will be a big plus. Just play like how they used to play and not be careless with the ball and play defense. I see Coach Vogel is back to his rotation with Russ and Lebron being the center of it. That's nice. Dwight was given more minutes and there's Wenyen Gabriel 7/8 FG 3/3 3pts. I know its to match the big men of the Raptors but he should do this more often. And this silent the critiques of Westbrook for at least some time with this kind of performance from him. Positive news for AD though, there seems to be a lot of development so hopefully they can make it to the playoffs and maybe he can play. Vogel should stop experimenting with smaller player, he should put Dwight their more often to play as the man in the middle. Good thing Westbrook contributed big in this win, however, I'm still a bit worried if they'll be in the playoffs because the number of players that produces for the team is very small. In this game, only Lebron James and Westbrook were consistent, and sometimes Westbrook does not play the way he should be playing. Right, Casimero's mouth can be back by his fighting skills and that's what makes him different from others who only know how to talk and that's also why we cannot blame the way he talk because his actions also speaks for himself and he has every right to boast about it.
It's already on his character and that's why if he talks bad and he really means, he really means what he's saying and he has to prove that he's not all talk and cheap. That's him and we should not hate him because it's his personal style. What's important is he brings honor to our country, becoming a champion is not easy but Casimero did all the hard work in order to achieve his goal. I am disappointed just 30 votes have been cast in the poll so far but Fury is still strong favourite to win. Hopefully the votes cast will increase to around 40, then 50 and more as we get nearer to the actual fight date. For me, I think Fury will dominate and win this fight fairly easily, no disrespect to Whyte but Fury is way too good a fighter, he is far too technically superior. Whyte will give it everything he has but will fall way short and will be defeated with relative ease.
Don't fret, there's still a few weeks left before the fight schedule. IMO, some other users haven't realized about the poll yet or maybe they ain't interested on this fight because it's crystal clear that Fury will when against Whyte, the latter's chance to upset Fury is so slim and that makes the fight boring or uninteresting. Anyone thinks that the current war might affect Bivol's performance? I mean he could be bother by the noise behind this one that his training and his mentality on the fight is not 100% because of the current situation in his country. There could be some friends or family members that is close to Bivol that is directly affected by the war and it might stuck into his mind. What do you guys think? Not making excuses if he lost but we have to look at this angle as well.
Maybe a little bit, I mean everyone would be surely affected knowing that your country where your family is also living is having a war with its neighboring country and then somehow you have a big event that you need to attend. What a good game for Kyrie today and it was another career-high for him breaking his old record and a franchise record as well. This kind of Irving in the playoffs will be scary and unstoppable, you also add Durant to the list with his lethal shooting skills. I hope they let Ben Simmons play now for them to get used to playing with them in the playoffs or it isn't a good idea to mix him up with because right now there are hot winning their 4th straight games. And it just shows that the Nets is really banking on their big stars to win in game, we've seen those two not playing and it didn't look good for team. Hopefully they can remain healthy and make the playoffs, otherwise this kind of performance will be nothing. I think they are slowly integrating Ben into their system, maybe he just needed more time before. They are winning though so no need to rush him. The roster of Nets this season is really interesting, they have a lot of twist in just one season. They began with a Big 3 with Harden, Irving and Durant, they became a tough team in the East but as time passed and KD suffered an injury then Irving is playing consistently they began to fell into pieces which brings them in the 9th spot but recently when KD returns and Harden leaps towards the Philly, they again became a threat in the East playing and winning consecutively with highlights every game until now. Yes, Ben Simmons is the only remaining mystery because Drummond and Seth seems to fit in the system. I hope they will be healthy until the end of this entire season. |

You're exactly right about that, we can only speculate what is likely to happen this May but we can't ever conclude the exact thing unless these two are finish fighting in the ring. The one who prepared the most only increases his chances to win, it doesn't mean that it is already sure because if that's the measurement there's no need to fight.

Canelo gets better after his loss to Mayweather, he learns his lesson and he trained harder. In fact, if Canelo and Mayweather will fight now, I believe that we will see the opposite of that fight, and though Mayweather is very slick, I'm pretty sure Canelo would hit him and would probably knock him out.
I also believe that. Canelo already matured after that loss from Mayweather and the same perceptions if they will fight again I'm pretty sure that the outcome is different, Mayweather is good but seeing how Alvarez adjust and keep winning his fights that would be a big difference if chance gives them that rematch. Moving back to this upcoming Bivol fight, we will probably see the adjustment since he will be facing a much bigger and stronger opponent. Yes, we can expect an adjustment from him, however, Canelo is not afraid of fighting a taller and bigger fighter as he already beat a lot of fighters like that in the past. He might not able to beat them in the early rounds but with his maturity and ring IQ, his strategy is slowly but surely so in the end, his opponent will be gas out because of the consistent power punches they will receive. Canelo's advantage against taller and bigger opponent is his speed, so he still have an edge. I couldn't agree more. Canelo's discipline is really good and we can really see it every time he steps in the ring. During the building of the so-called "superpowered" Lakers team, I thought to myself that with so much old all-star players, they will not be as efficient compared to the time back when they are at their prime. This is the consequences right now- all of those players are old and starting to show some age. While we may argue that Lebron James is still the King with his athleticism, talent, and raw strength, he cannot carry his team alone.
The whole Lakers team were scattered and all around the place. Booker was just effortlessly shooting perimeters and corners without any effort at all. With that kind of defense, I do think that Lebron is slowly getting frustrated to the point that he "MAY" be considering on retiring or switching to another team.
You predicted it right.  Lebron is not getting any younger. He want to have more championships at the remaining years he got before retiring but I don't think this is the team that would help him on that path. Coach Vogel was a defensive coach. "Was." I think they are missing that because we don't see it anymore. They lack young guys now, those who would sacrifice anything for a championship while they are young. When I see Reaves doing all the work in their defensive line, I also see the problem. It's not just the coach but also the veterans and that's why it's difficult for them to win. What LBJ needs is a tandem that can be his double or help him achieve every win, not a Big Three. That Big Three era was already finished and we all see that it is not applicable this time around. LeBron can still be in Lakers but frankly, they should get a different coach with a different approach and invest in young players who's worth it and not some Allstar that is already way past on their prime. |

I don't think there will be no money in this fight, there will be enough for both, biggest paycheck ever for anyone of them. The hype is still there specially if Spence bet Ugas in his fight. Crawford has been calling him for quite sometime now, it's up to Spence to response back to make this fight happen. We don't want to see him on the downturn of their career before facing each other. It should be in their primes, in the next 2 years.
There's no problem on how much money the fight will generate but the concern is, no one is willing to a 50-50 split. Both camps have a big reason not to make it even and that's not making sense to them. It's really hard to negotiate on that part especially if both boxers have a big name. Unless one of them will make way for a less split, then that's a good step for the fight to push through. The only time I remember seeing Crawford likely to accept a much less split is when his name becomes a candidate as an opponent to Manny Pacquiao (correct me if I'm wrong here). Majority of people on here does really believe that Mike is still fit on beating up Logan which is younger but it wouldnt be enough speaking out with the experience. Yes because of his stance and on his training, he shows how still fit he is. The LA Lakers continued their bad course in the league with the Houston Rockets game. LeBron James outstanding performance also does not bring success to the LA team. The Nuggets team reflects their successful games in the last matches on the field and they caught a good series.
Yes, the Lakers this season took a very different route and looks like we can't see them in the playoffs this season. LBJ's talent and performance is still good but now that he is aging, he can't really bring the team to the Finals alone. They should take an early rest and figure out what would they do next season because investing and having WB is definitely not good for them. ^^ It was really an ugly game for the Suns, yes they have won games without CP3, very close that they could really lost that game if not for some heroics and game ending winning shots. But in this game, it just show how CP3 is important for the Suns, to control the complexion of the game and put themselves in a position to win.
