2941  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 10, 2022, 07:39:24 AM
5. Don't invest suddenly

     - In my experience, I have also participated in this type of investment without thinking immediately or doing research because I was just
carried away by the hype. It's just like the "Get rich quick" where your 1k$ will turn into 10k$ after 3 days, things like that. Just like before
the rise of cryptocurrency projects, there were a lot of them but in the end, they turned out to be scams, but I don't blame them all
because there are legit crypto projects and there are others that are just scams or shitcoins, this is just an example.

But I'm not saying that you shouldn't invest in crypto, I think we shouldn't make a hasty decision so that our capital doesn't go to waste.

I recommend learning before investing. In cryptocurrency, most new investors invest without proper knowledge; they base their decisions on the hype and the vloggers who introduce it. Agree with this, jumping to the conclusion that you can earn once you invest, even without knowledge. Also, be wary of scams; always conduct a background check and search for everything about the projects you want to invest in. Perform your research before getting your funds.
2942  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 10, 2022, 04:42:43 AM
I believe it all depends on where you land after college.  If you are making a decent salary in your field, enjoy it, and getting an advanced degree will significantly increase your earning potential, then yes, I could see one further their degree from school.  If you aren't making money in your field and hate it, then I could see one learning a new skill.
What I have seen so far in my place is very few people who hate the field of lectures or schools they take when they want to go to college or school. Because it has been carefully considered the field they will take and they like before they apply to a particular campus or university or to a particular school. So there is no hate when someone has graduated in the field they have applied for before, although not all of them can immediately get a job after graduating from university or school.

I would say every place is different as from what I've seen over here are plenty of people that really hate their field that they went to college for, not all but quite a lot; culture can also play a role in this as well.

Many college graduates now find jobs unrelated to their courses; I believe this is due to the pandemic, and they desperately need to find work to help their parents. With regards to culture, that is a big factor since it is your tradition to follow, and you shouldn't violate it, though it is still your choice since you are the one taking it and gaining from it. Imagine going to a college course or job you don't like. How can you enjoy it? That would be stressful a lot
2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are those people that you don't want them to know you are a gambler on: November 10, 2022, 03:54:07 AM
Some gamblers keep their gambling activities secrete from people they have close relationship with. Having it in mind that if these people know they are gamblers,it might bring down their reputation or make them look wasteful. I hide my gambling activities from my Mom the reason is that she hates gamblers and calls them irresponsible people from her own perspective.

When we talk about gambling, casinos, or betting, people's first impression is that you are losing a lot of money, in debt, and addicted to it. I think it's because this is the news they usually see on TV about gambling. The reputation of a gambler is very unpleasant to those who don't understand it and only know the negative aspects of it. Also, mostly in religious countries, it is a sin to them, and I don't have any opinion. We respect that kind of tradition. For me, it is better to hide it than be criticized by others, and you can still share it with those who gamble, as they will understand us.
2944  Economy / Economics / Re: Consumers to Spend More on Black Friday Despite Economic Downturn on: November 09, 2022, 05:15:14 PM
The fact that there is a discount title attracts everyone's attention. Even people who don't need it, they want to buy it because it's cheaper products. In fact, we can call it completely creating perception. If there's a really good discount rate, that's a good thing. There are too many products that are shown as discounted and are not discounted or discounted to a very small extent. They want to deceive people in this way.

I'm not sure, but when we say black Friday sale, most people will buy things, even if they don't know if they really need one on that day; it's a tradition for them to go to the mall and grab something. I'm sure this year's Black Friday sale was much quieter than last year's; on social media, there are a lot of videos of people storming the malls, grabbing items, and punching everyone; they're really feeling the economic pressure right now because even though the items are on sale, they're still not affordable, and it's better to spend the money you're supposed to spend on item sales in food.
2945  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask bargain for prices never pay full specially now on: November 09, 2022, 04:04:32 PM
Now it's time to ask prices to go Lower.
Times like this i go shop or anywhere i always say' it's economic down turn can i get cheaper price.
I allready called to my landlord to make my rent much cheaper.
It's times of economic bad times so now you can ask cheaper prices of anything always.

Bargaining for food and other things nowadays is difficult as they already come at a high price. Only a few landlords will lower their rent rather than increase it unless your landlord has a good heart and takes care of you. Simply approach your landlord and bargain with him; simply tell him the real reason; if he still refuses, we can't do anything because everyone is experiencing this, and we need more money because all of the foods are very expensive now. We can tighten our budgets more and try to work more, like getting side hustles, etc to earn more money.
2946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of not letting others know about your crypto holdings on: November 09, 2022, 02:47:25 PM
When it comes to money trust no one, that is one of the reason why we are all here cause it is available in decentralized bitcoin. This is not applicable to crypto holdings it can be applied to everyone who is rich but people who are rich enough may have safeguard with them all the time so others keep your financial success silent until it reaches a state you can't hide it anymore.

Like others, money is the root of all evil. People will change if it is already involved with money; you need to find out if they are your real friends or if they just gained your trust to execute their plan perfectly. In real life, the best advice is not to trust your friends, such as showing off your portfolio and how much money you have. It would be best if you did this to your own family instead, so they are aware, but be cautious with anyone because it involves a lot of money.
2947  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Discussion] Post Bursting sa Forum on: November 09, 2022, 01:53:06 PM
2948  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: November 09, 2022, 11:44:42 AM
This is what has always frightened me the most in my life. I won't have any money when I retire. An investment in an insurance company can still help you without a business. I know it will be insignificant, but it is better than nothing. It hit me hard that we are just working to improve the company and not looking at ourselves.
Regarding starting a business, people are terrified and lack the capital to invest. This is really the difficult part, and I admit this, so I invest a part of my salary into an insurance company to still get a pension when I retire. Still, if I ever have any extra money, I will invest it in a business.
2949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Our Bitcoin and Other Assets If We Die? on: November 09, 2022, 10:04:34 AM
Hello guys just don't get me wrong. As we all know that one day we have to die. So for this I was wondering that if we have at east 1 million dollars in cryptocurrency or just couple of buck like me  Grin and nobody in our family and also friends do not know anything than what should be the possibility.
I think that's the reason still there are millions of BTC that are still missing cause of lost key or dead Bitcoin holders too.
I think we should at least make backup  file and should transfer in Bank Safe so that when they receive than they know how to retrieve it.

Still not getting Any merit 😁

If you die, most of your coins will be lost. As you can see, there are bitcoins that have no movements on the blockchain. This is either because their owner died or because someone simply held onto it for a long time. It is best to have a backup plan that you will be making or writing your private key on paper, then storing it in a safe, then inform your family or relatives about it, but just say to them that it needs to be open after you die and explain to them that it is very valuable and very important. It could help them in their lives, but don't mention that it is a bitcoin so they will not think of it.
2950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: November 09, 2022, 08:25:29 AM
It's hard to answer the question of whether this guy will win the lawsuit or not.

It depends on the country in which this story took place and on the laws in force in that country.

Sometimes, when filing a lawsuit, the plaintiff is faced with a situation where an online casino or bookmaker is not registered as a legal entity at all or is registered as a legal entity, but with nominee owners and general directors.

In this case, it may be difficult to file a claim and win a lawsuit.

  - Do you mean the lottery may be operating under the jurisdiction of the government illegally? Because as far as I know, as long as you hold the ticket, the complainant has a high chance of winning. Although you have a point in what you mentioned dude.

But I agree with the complainant that the lottery appears to be legitimate, but I agree with you that no one knows what the outcome of that case could be between the winner and the lottery company.

If it is done illegally, he can close it, but again, getting back the money he won is very difficult. That is mostly the case if the lottery is not government-regulated. When I was a child, I heard from my parents' friends that if someone won $200k, the lottery owner would say they didn't have money because they had gone bankrupt. Then they would close the lottery store, but the problem is that it is not legal, it is illegally put up, and people are aware of it, so my parents' friends didn't get anything, and the lottery store in our neighborhood closed down.
2951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost today 2000 usd and quit gambling + lesson i learnt on: November 09, 2022, 07:32:52 AM
Well I don't think a real gambler will quit after he got a big winning, if your main intention to make money through gambling, you should learn gambling is only for fun. If you keep chasing money, you will either become an addict or an abuser since you're want to maximize anything to make profit. I've learn this after I got a good lesson where I become mad and don't want to interact with any people, when I become matured, I know gambling is for fun only,
To be honest most people gamble for money, just few gamble to have fun, some people don't even have a job, they depend on the money they win in gambling to take care of themselves which is very bad. Most people are addicted to gambling because they really want to make money from it, with little amount they are having with them, they believe if they gamble with it, they will be able to multiply it which sometimes they might be lucky but sometimes they might lose, some addicted gamblers can go extral miles to do illegal things just to get money to gamble, that's why mostly in my community, if they noticed you are a gambler they alway think you are a bad person which is wrong, I don't see anything bad in gambling, the only thing I know is bad is being addicted to gambling.

You are correct; the image of gambling is very negative to others, as if you are a criminal, and they believe you have a lot of debt and will do anything to play in a casino. This is the first impression of gambling, but it isn't true. I think this is just some people that are really addicted to it, but most of the gamblers are just playing for fun or to earn money, but I think they can control themselves now. The possibility of quitting gambling if you've already won big is too low because you'll want to experience that feeling again; when you lose, I think the gambler just needs to rest, and later on, after a few months or years, he'll end up getting back to the casino to gamble.
2952  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 09, 2022, 03:17:03 AM
Commission jobs really pays well over most of salary base job especially if the work is continusly and projects are always on long-term based. But the reality here is, only those who acquired a good portfolio and skills are those who actually feel the big benefits of doing a commission job.

On the other hand, salary based job are mostly pays with average salary. Only professionals with such good skills are bound to be eligible on a much higher salary rate.

We really need to work wise and hard to achieve that high paying salary.

You are right, but in a commission job, you just need to be persuasive enough for customers to make a purchase from you, and you can also earn more from it than a salary-based job. Usually, in a commission job, they can earn enough money to last three months, which is good, but the problem is that it is not always the case because there are months when you have no earnings, so it is not secure, unlike a salary base, where you are already sure that you'll get a salary by the end of the month, but again, it is extremely difficult to get an increase because you need more experience or spend more years to get a promotion.
2953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin really crashing on: November 09, 2022, 01:38:26 AM
One day in the red
Bitcoin is dead

Erm...

This made me laugh, lol, and it is true that many newbies or rookies tell this if the bitcoin is in the red.I'm not sure what their reasoning is for saying it's crashing, but it's not going to happen. There are times of the year when bitcoin falls into the red and reaches a low price. This is due to the FTX and Binance issues, as well as the US midterm elections; let's wait until January next year if it continues to drop, and before we conclude, we should have hard proof that it is crashing.
2954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will digital dollar be a threat to bitcoin? on: November 07, 2022, 05:58:59 PM
In the digital space there ia no thread to the Bitcoin as Bitcoin can flawlessly lead the digital economy and finance. You can understand this by the distributed network and decentralization of the bitcoin network. So investors do Trust Bitcoin untill investors trust there is no need to worries.
I believe the threat isn't exactly digitar dollar, rather it's the regulators behind digital dollar the real threat to bitcoin, because they can use their decision power to difficult or forbid bitcoin usage in order to push the adoption of their own cryptocurrency upside. They can also launch misinformation campaigns against bitcoin aiming the masses, that can be made through comparisons between CBDC and bitcoin, where they will highlight the benefits and advantages of their currency while highlighting the negative aspects of bitcoin to discourage the public going for the decentralization.

You have really a point just to make their token good and bitcoin bad, but still, the target audience on that is those who really don't know bitcoin; they will make their own token newbie friendly (I don't mean that Bitcoin is not, but it takes real time to read it and understand it on how it works). That's how powerful the people behind it, mostly the government, can really do that. They also can't persuade those people who are really into bitcoin. But for me, as long as they are both good and usable in the face of the internet and I can still gain profit, then that's good to me.
2955  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: November 07, 2022, 04:52:25 PM
Agree, but if business will be successful then it can make you rich. As other said there is no one going to be rich in working 8 -5pm business is really the key to success. Office set up is you are really us secured that you'll be getting money, which is good for people that have a family like me so that we do have money to spend on our daily needs, but I really want to invest into business, but I am scared if it wouldn't be successful since the consequence is that ill be in debt and without money.
I suggest if you want to be a smart investor never use borrowed money, because it is a very high risk for your finances, you will get a lot of problems if you use borrowed money, many investor advisors say if you want to invest use money that is safe and does not have any attachments for your needs. maybe you should read more about how to build fundamentals to become an investor.

The only problem is that we don't have enough money to invest in a business; if not, you really need to take out a loan to be able to invest in it, though I agree it is very risky, and you are not secured that your business will be successful. What most other advice is that if you really want to invest in a business and you need to take a loan, you should first find a job so that even if your business is unsuccessful, you still have a backup plan or you can still pay your debt, though it would be painful, at least you can still recover.
2956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi Needs to Reveal His Identity ? on: November 07, 2022, 03:42:21 PM
There are so many people in the Bitcoin Talk Forum who have interest to discover the true identity of the Bitcoin and Blockchain inventor. Also there are few who oppose the matter, that Satoshi Nakamoto must not reveal his identity.

I am so much confused regarding matter. So I think, it would be better to arrange a concensus about the identity of the Bitcoin and Blockchain inventor. The members of this forum can vote for themselves and it will be helpful for Satoshi Nakamoto to make a correct discussion.

What is your opinion ?
One thing is certain that will happen if satoshi reveals his true identity, it is the tremendous terror of the government, his/her fans, and his/her haters. it's more beautiful and calm if we stay like this, keep speculating about who the real satoshi is and still assume anyone who claims to be a satoshi is fake.

Yes, you are very right! Also, his life wouldn't be as private as before. This is difficult if you are famous; you can only do things easily with your bodyguard. There were still many people who would be thanking him or her for his or her creation, which is very majestic and helpful to all of us. It is best to remain anonymous, whether he or she is still alive or not. I hope he is happy with his/her creation now that everyone is almost using it and many people profit from it. A lot of people claim to be Satoshi but have no solid proof at all, and Satoshi is really hiding his/her identity just to keep himself/herself safe.
2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: November 07, 2022, 02:39:40 PM
However your bad loss might be the loss isnt as great as damage to your live or lungs which other past times people spend money on can do .  Just maintain a positive attitude, anything can happen in life and remember this is just a game you will sometimes win sometimes lose.  Try to avoid relying on a gamble for something certain or reliable, its all quite random often.   1 good lesson is split up your amount gambled over a week or monthly schedule, 1 night is never the best time to bet all.
After so much I have gone in my life - I think the worst thing you do in your life is too much talking and this kills you
After COvid and job loss and all the problems I experienced in my life. I have lost so many friends. It always a good idea not to share your problems with anyone - sleep - pray - eat - watch movie - go out for a walk and forget. Because you can't change your past
We all have many problems and often lose friends in various situations and conditions. But that should not make us sad because there must be a time for us to get up and go back through each day and we want to make the next days better than yesterday. And when you lose money in gambling, maybe you need to revise what you have done with introspection and try not to make the same mistakes. And you've already given an example of trying to eliminate the sadness of losing money in gambling.

It is easier to say than to do. I am also one of those people who get sad and irritated if I lose money because of gambling. It wouldn't help me and wouldn't get back my losses, but there are instances where you feel it so that you can learn from it. I always have a lesson from my big losses, so I can't do it again. We are humans, and we have emotions. Let's feel them, then move on from them since they can't help you if you feel them for a few days or weeks. As others have said, time heals, so for now, feel that sadness, but I am sure you'll wake up tomorrow and realize that you are okay.
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 07, 2022, 01:08:00 PM
Someone with a strict budget of gambling with $10, decides to start online gambling after been told by a friend, but on signing up discovers that the minimum deposit accepted is above the amount budgetted for gambling. Does high minimum deposit fees from online casino discourage gamblers who want to stick to a budget and influences them to gamble with bigger amounts? If yes, and that perhaps is a reason behind many other online casinos keeping their minimum deposits as low as $1, Could low minimum deposit be an encouragement for people to come gamble regardless of the money they have to gamble? Does minimum withdrawal encourage players to try again and keep gambling if they don't win up to the minimum withdrawal?

Yes, because there are a lot of experienced gamblers, they want to test the site first and deposit the smallest amount possible to try it out. Most casinos have low deposit limits, but with withdrawals, not all are the same, as most have a minimum withdrawal. I think they implemented it so that it cannot be abused and also helps you not to always withdraw because of the fees, but mostly because they want you to keep your money for longer periods as it will take a few days to meet the minimum withdrawal. Most of the gamblers that have a really low budget really want the minimum deposit and withdrawal to be low because they can withdraw anytime if they want it or gain a small profit, and also because a low deposit can attract other gamblers to try and test their website by depositing only a little money.
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 07, 2022, 12:06:24 PM
Maybe for me my first choice fell into slot gambling because I am a slot lover and have won a lot of money from the games I played.
Can you show me the proof that you won a lot money from slots? actually slots has a bad odds since the house edge will always make the house always win, the gamblers only win if they're very lucky and just quit after they hit huge multipliers. I don't think slots can be said a game that has better odds, slots is just an addictive game.

I think everyone will agree with sports betting since there's a chance a huge underdog can pull an upset, that make gamblers will get huge multipliers. So this will depends on the player, if the player has a bad analysis or guessing, they wouldn't earn money from sports betting.

Agree, slots have the lowest probability, but I also enjoy playing them. But when you are watching someone play slots, it makes me bored. I don't know why, but I think its because I am not playing it. There are speculations about the slots that it will be winning a jackpot after how many millions of spins there have been. I wonder if this is true, but if it is, then it's pure luck and needs a lot of money to win.
With sports betting, that is really unanimous, but we are not talking about who could win big, only the odds, since you can predict well that game and you are really sure that this time you can win, though there are times when we are expecting to win the team, it turns out not to be the case, but that is very rarely the case, and most of the time you will win.
2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost 270 dollar in roullete plan on revenge on: November 07, 2022, 10:58:06 AM
I don't know your plan or how you will execute it, but good luck. Betting $1000 on them can't make them bankrupt, and they already have systems dealing with that emotion. You'll be losing more, trust me. Unless you are super rich, betting a million dollars can catch their attention as to why you are doing this, but still, they can manipulate it so that you'll lose. I haven't heard about this kind of revenge, but this will surely not be successful. Though you already got your money back, it's time to forget it and just don't ever step foot in that casino, whether online or in person.
