Man today specials seems really good, but i have one problem, a little one, i want to make a multibet of specials, and that cant be.
So i have to let them go.
Asides of this im not having really good profit in this WC, really bad for me until now. But i think im not the only one with this performance.
Think I used to be able to do specials paired with regular markets, but I never tried more than 2 legs. Haven't been able to do that (otherwise would definitely go for some BTTS specials like today as they had really good boosts) but knowing myself, I'd have bumped up a big special with losing games. WC definitely not good for me, but that's my fault for overcommitting too early in the group stages. Should have stuck with my underdog strategy on singles. Not against Brasil later though heh.

Breathe easy, Cro2. Took a scare and penalty disappointments from Japan to get you through but you live another day. Was very hopeful my 2:1 would get ticked but by the time the game entered late, seems like both teams were happy to go to penalties. Quite a few 1:1 picks in the pool, well done there. Want to pick S Korea but need Neymar and gang to progress. Now on to Brasil!

Cyberpunks and Cryptography First and foremost important part of the internet is privacy and freedom which gave birth to cryptography. It all started with Cyberpunks "Freedom is non-negotiable, it tops everything, freedom is our struggle".
Nice find, I don't mind DW half the time, it's like BBC, gotta know what to watch and what not to! You might mean Cypherpunks though (don't worry, common confusion, also happened to me when I first came across the term). Unfortunate they get mixed up a lot with cyberpunk... which probably explains quite a lot of mainstream media Bitcoin mixups haha. Definitely in parts of Europe privacy is sacrosanct, but also in some parts, interest and significance is waning.

New specials out, there's a bunch to choose from! https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/fifa-world-cup/matchesRitsu Doan's been my main guy for Japan and he's got a special on today (first or last goal for 9/1) but he's a supersub usually, so can't really see him sandwiching goals. The VAR cancelled goal is extremely tempting, as we've had none so far in 4 games... and Brazil the likely winner here... Thoughts for today?

I'm definitely losing this one, I think, Woodie got a fantastic headstart, and I looked very quickly, need to get the goal count right and Ronaldo to score to get back on level terms but if he gets Spain lineup right, I'm out. He went for a full European progress too -- and I need 2 to crash out, and I thought England would be one. Japan and Morocco have to save me (yeah right).
Doesn't matter, of course, I got some heavy hitting bets lined up so am more concerned with that. No specials, and I can't watch this game, good luck Cro2... you'll be happy to know my money's on Japan, so it should mean I lose.

Hard to convince people who can't see the proof in the poisoned pudding. Greed dampens the small voice in the back of their heads telling them it's a game they're eventually going to lose.
High returns with no effort. Lock in periods. Referral fees. Guarantees of profit (even SBF in his pitches used phrases like "risk free" and "zero risk"). Classic ponzi schemes.
Years ago I read research about triad gangs in Southeast Asia, same circle of people running relatively low value ponzis like this. HYIP rings and money doublers. I saw them myself in the late 1990s, mid-2000s. They don't end up taking much but they just run multiple sites, rinse and repeat, so stay below the Madoff radar.
Used to be cash in mail, internet and PayPal was next, then digital payments like e-gold, not Bitcoin.

^Yeah my brain said it's an England no-brainer but I went for the upset in the pool... all favourites through in the end. They grind out a win, or overpower with many trying to counter from Senegal mistakes, or take it to penalties, all routes showed English superiority and it ended up to be so. Hope England play like this against France, no older enemy than them to get motivated! Bellingham's game, first half at least. A lot of them are doing this now and they should prohibit it. It's cheating really. They wait to see which way the keeper is going then put it in the opposite side. Penalty takers obviously don't have much confidence when they do this. If players stop in their run up then that should be it and they either forfeit it or have to do the run up again.
I don't like it too, and since they made the keeper moving off his line a bigger deal in recent years, feel like penalties more than ever put the taker on the advantage (as, I guess, it should be). I suppose some people playing in different cultures wouldn't mind it (and I'd never have guessed Lewie does it), but yeah I feel like you got to put a limit on it, some moves border on unsportsmanlike conduct.

@boltz ouch! Senegal could've had a soft penalty and did cause some problems but it wasn't to be. Was (and still is) a lively night on Clubhouse TV, English guys happy with the results so far? Hendo opened scoring clinically, and Kane finally got his goal, so I took home my first WC special (too bad I wasn't daring enough with the stake ha). Oi thanks, just saw I have 21 points, missed some of the picks but so far, correct teams have progressed anyway but that I also have Morocco to progress vs Germany, who's actually now going to be Spain heh. Also saw you mention a bet on Senegal lead at 30' mark, guess you and me both will not get our faith in Senegal rewarded.

First Bitcoin I ever got was only exciting in the sense I could play around with it. Wasn't worth much then and still isn't today ($1.70) but it was pretty cool seeing the input and how you could manipulate it and magically conjure it back into another wallet when restoring, and seeing the same value reflected on a blockchain. Different feeling getting a significant amount as payment for work. Nervous too, making sure no mistakes made sending it to Localbitcoins to sell. P.S. You mentioned she got it into her account. Might want to ask her to move it into a proper wallet so she does, in fact, own it ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Gotta feel bad for Lewa. You can't even call Poland a one-man army cos even he can just dissapear out of the game.
France 2-0 already. England later on, should b 3-0. Easy games
Can't say I've seen him take penalties, actually, is that his usual style, to trick the goalie? Worked, for sure, and gave me the exact score I need to make up lost ground. I went with another 3-1 for England, it'll be really cool to get 3 points for that too, seems that clean sheets are a rare commodity in these rounds now hm?

To sum up my point here, everyone hates bitcoin and crypto right now and I don't see it changing. I've never seen more negativity and FTX made everything a lot worse.
"everyone hates bitcoin and crypto" -- I'm almost willing to bet that most of these haters: - actually got burned by using crypto in the very same way they've been using legacy finance (centralised lending and interest bearing services, speculating on assets with no underlying value, not interacting with decentralised networks). - never actually used bitcoin. Actual Bitcoin users have always been slowly, steadily, using and growing and improving. Sure, they're upbeat and as cheerful as everyone else in a rally, and muted in a bear market, some are even enjoying bargain prices.

I saw the video, he was using Maguire as a case study to what is going on in the country, I was shocked the majority of the Reps had no idea who Maguire was from the reaction on their faces when he started the story but burst into heavy laughter when he finally told how unfortunate they guy is. The African team has performed better than I expected; they have made significant contributions thus far, and based on current trends, we may have an African semi-finalist.
BTW Senegal Poland @ 7.80 and 10.50 respectively is a huge one.... might dip into one tomorrow.
Yeah the video cracked me up, the guy was so eloquent, and everyone else laughed too. One day that Ghanaian Maguire will become a meme. As promised yesterday, here is my Senegal bet. At great odds, too, I agree! I think England should still scrape through, but the Senegalese are super pumped, they want to do this for Aliou and Sadio! Poland I also took for a similar amount, and at the great odds you quoted (now still possible to get 11/1 if you use a Sportsbet special).

Damn you, Woodie, 2/2 right, and already 2 points ahead of me. I'm going to need our different answers to all go my way now, but I have to say you're in a strong position. Quarterfinal bastard-elect.
Now not sure my pick for England trio to have shot on target will hit, suddenly not even sure England will not grind out for penalties. Anyway.
Didn't watch Argentina but on livescores saw Messis scored with the sole shot on target by HT. Pretty much sums up his role, doesn't it?

New 4-3-free, new specials! https://sportsbet.io/sports/4-3-freehttps://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/fifa-world-cup/matchesPoland 90 minutes at 11/1 is extra value, as nowhere else even scratches 10/1 from what I can see. Put a small one on Mbappe + Kane to score at 5/1. I'm certain about Mbappe, Kane needs a penalty but they should pass easily for LFC_Bitcoin joy haha. buwaytress how are you holding up in Sportsbet prediction competitions in Superbru and Fifa, I don't remember your accounts there?
Very poorly. I'm "Sojourner" in all these games. Mid table in pool, but Matchday 3 saved me actually as I started below 50th place! Now a respectable 20+ position thanks to some awesome upsets. Managed to get closer yesterday too, but I doubt I'm climbing into Top 10. Fifa? Forget it!

He's so popular I never heard of him, and might not even remember him the next time his name drops randomly here. Haven't we already gotten bored of these CNN CNBC pseudo-finance-crypto experts by now?
Calling a 10k bottom when we've seen Bitcoin struggle to keep hold of $17k isn't exactly analyses that won't be found elsewhere. It's Bitcoin. Dropping from current levels to 10k is not even a 50% drop, something Bitcoin's fully capable of.
The clever expert would instead be asking how low more can it go if it does breach 10k? It's psychological. Do we see a massive bounce? Or does that cause final capitulation?

What I don't understand is how can someone be holding such amount of BTC in an exchange and still sleep at night?
I met someone back in 2017 who only bought Bitcoin on exchanges (in Europe, so it wasn't even a big exchange). He couldn't sleep at night knowing no one was going to be there to hold his hand and guide him through if he'd lost his password to his wallet like I showed him too, let alone private keys or seed phrase. Regularly loses his email passwords, apparently, and keeps multiple copies of housekeys, carkeys, etc. So I get it, Bitcoin self custody wasn't for him. At least, I said his wife should know, but that went down a whole different route, and myself haven't figured out how to get my family/next of kin to properly use either. Unfortunate, but it's actually not difficult to imagine why people still flock to exchanges. If I were as rich as Coinbase guy, I'd probably also have private insurance.

I can't believe my eyes - luck finally smiled at me and I exactly guessed the far from obvious score in the game Netherlands - USA! ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) I must say that despite the score, if we evaluate purely statistical indicators, then the United States was at least no worse. The Netherlands achieved the result simply due to the fact that their class is higher. All in all, it's a pity that a great US team is going home, but that's what the playoffs are like. Better finishers on their team, for sure. Pulisic is their main hope but we already know since leaving Germany he's anything but a clinical finisher. I don't think they were ever good enough for more than group progressors, but still, a better showing than previous iterations I guess. A good game overall from the Netherlands, they look much more dangerous with Depay playing. They are strong in defence and really tactical under Van Gaal. I liked them so far - they will be a tough nut to crack for anybody.
I didn't like them at all in group stage, but this match they started the way I enjoy, much, much more like their Nations League form. I suspect they actually have a good chance this Friday if they have the same type of start. Can't bet against a motivated Messi, though. Despite getting correct results for some unexpected matches, I'm far from the leaderboard.
I used to be you, 3 pool seasons ago in EPL. So not worth it when there are many games, but you might stand to gain with QFs because the huge underdogs will probably be out by then, then it's very close and most people like me will still go for favs.

Did anyone see the Ghana politician mentioning Maguire thing? I saw it on Al Jazeera, that was brilliant.
Saw the Senegal fans coverage on some local media too, brilliant Senegalese responses, everyone and I meant, everyone, said they weren't afraid of England... just Brazil and France haha.
2-1 Senegal's my pick, I'll share a bet tomorrow if I make it out of tonight alive. Just need Argentina to not mess up their lead!
