2961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: anyone buying bulk deals on gpus on alibaba? on: June 24, 2017, 08:04:57 AM
I'm just curious if anyone's on that and how the cards are working out

i don't buy there it's often look liek a scam to me, better to buy from trusted reseller, newegg amazon ebay are good and they are not out of stock like many believe, i still see good amount of gpu, with nvidia at least, amd is a bit on shortage yes
2962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: <$0.05 per Kw - 2 MEGA WATT FARM on: June 24, 2017, 08:03:46 AM

cool but that is still a small farm to me, not many rig there, btw what kind of motherboard is that with 8 x 16 x slot? look good for 8 gpu set up, i never seen one before
2963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO ICO ICO ICO ICO everywhere ICO BUBBLE? on: June 22, 2017, 03:59:37 PM
Hi,

Everyday is a ICO and the collected money is raising and raising. Everyone try to jump on and sell after ICO.
After Everyico is closed, minutes after first people asking for exchanges. But why I invest in a ICO and than wanna dump 5 minutes later?

If I invest i do it longterm or not?

For me it seems to be a really really big bubble.

no don't do long term with ico, it's too damn risky, look at lisk, the value will never increase again like in the prime day, it's dead stuck there, and make the coin useless, and lisk was one of the best ico imho, because it has DPOS, which make it worth holding some after the ico

Can this coin be mined in solo?  Grin

yes but you need a little farm to mien now, all the hash are in the pool

2.5 billions supply and 5min block for 100 coins? it takes 230+ years to mine all the block. I can't do that at all.

yeah i agree the supply is too high, this also make the premine look much bigger than many think, nice trick from the dev, to hide his treasure lol, not really a good coin, but you never know what investors think they pump the crazy shit sometimes
2965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to buy bitcoin?? on: June 22, 2017, 03:55:50 PM
After seeing some post regarding bitcoin legalized in india (link will be given below)  spreading around facebook and other social media lots of my friends asking about investing in bitcoin is this right time or 1)it may go down till that can we wait and buy  or 2) it will take off booming then we cant touch because of overprice . Please could somebody give clear picture Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

yeah up to 1 august it's a good tiem to buy investors will accumulate now and wait for segwit activation, then anything could happen, but now it's a sure bet to do, i'm buying some just in case we have another great run, at worse the value will return to $2500, nothing to lose with bitcoin
2966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase hacked!! Eth DOWN, on: June 22, 2017, 03:53:47 PM
what's! really coinbase hacked?

no it's a problem with ETH transaction, someone forked maybe? i'm not sure need to check it better, but the fact thta many other exchange are reporting the same problem means that there is no hack
2967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: June 22, 2017, 03:49:32 PM
any chance the supply will get a cut in the future, i think what is holding back this wonderful coin, is the immense supply, if it can be reduced to million instead of billion would be better imho, i know it require a hard fork but its worth the risk

First I want to say our Dev Team is doing a Top Notch Job - keep it up!

Your suggestion needs to be analyzed.  At this point the space has gone into "Hyperspeed" and we need dramatic and intentional moves.  "Coin Reduction" would be a BIG MOVE; raising scarcity would increase value.

I would add that adding PoS immediately would be of great benefit as well.  It's hard to park your cash in a coin that doesn't pay dividends for holding while almost all other coins that share our objectives are providing STAKING incentives.  For the holder Staking represents some assurity during the inevitable "Pumps and Dumps" plus it provides a double incentive of value:  The rise in coin value (XVG $1.00) + the Staking Dividend.  For Hardware Miners it becomes a triple incentive if they choose to hold what they mine.

This is definitely a race, so reminiscent of 1999 with another emerging technology at that time.  I know by these suggestions we're asking a lot from the Devs but I strongly feel we have a strong community willing and able to support our Team in whatever is necessary.

So, Coin Reduction + PoS = Rise in Coin Value

Btw, Coin Reduction becomes very meaningful when RSK is implemented.

nice sum up, thanks, so what is this RSK, a new feature for this coin? surely it come with great features which make me look forward to this project, but something is holding this coin back

Yes to all of this.
This is not happening and it's a dumb choice on many levels. Dev has already discussed this. Read the post history before telling Dev what he should do. It's really assuming, naive, big headed, and annoying.

correct. i am not going to hard fork to take away users coins. that's absurd.

you would not take away what users have now, you woudl take away what the miners will mine in the future, none will lose anything
2968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF ethereum dies... on: June 22, 2017, 03:47:09 PM
... what would/will be the next most promising smart contract platform for the eth-based projects to migrate to?

ETC have a good bet it maintain the same aspect that people like about ETH, or maybe zcash or lbry i see great potential for both, or again something entirely new, there a re some promising good coin in the ann, among the new coming
2969  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have been waiting for Bitcoin to reach $3000 on: June 22, 2017, 03:44:48 PM
I have been waiting for Bitcoin to reach $3000 so that I can sell my Bitcoins, but seems as if it doesn't want to reach that value anytime soon. SHould I sell with the current amount? Undecided

no don't be stupid, wait until segwit is activated and then sell, the activation will cause a spike to 3k and above, at least this is possible, then again another dump, and there you sell around the peak and do good profit by buying back cheaper coins
2970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using altcoins to avoid bitcoin transaction fees? on: June 22, 2017, 03:43:39 PM
maybe you can lower the fee if you exchange your bitcoin for some altcoin with very low fee, but then you risk to lose on the value, because all the other alt are very unstable, perhaps this can work only with the best altcoin, like zcash and ETH, but i would not risk to do it with other unknown alt
2971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik openly admits he doesn't trust his creation on: June 22, 2017, 03:42:22 PM
That's right, folks. This is the difference between people like Charlie Lee, who left their job to focus on their creation and people like Buterin who "diversify" in boats and bitches. He just used other words such as "fiat", "real estate" etc.. What happened with "welcome to the beginning"? Many of you (at least I'd like to think so) are happy if they manage to sell 10 ETH (or BTC, or whatever) and buy back 11, while people like Vitalik are "diversifying" in something else. If you think that guys who are taking your money to fund their projects have the right not to believe in their creations, then you are free to call me a troll. The guy is already a millionaire in fiat and he's set for life, so he can easily afford an ETH/BTC/whatever failure, but no... he is "diversifying" in boats and bitches. What a hypocrite.............

My respect to this guy just vanished.

Source: https://twitter.com/CryptoChrisG/status/877667235795419137

omg! he said that?!?! he doesn't believe in his own project! respect for the guy and faith in eth has now vanished completely!

of course he don't believe he dumped his 1 million ethereum too soon when the value was 0.03, and look now, 0.13, how can you trust a dev like that, i know i would not, i never trusted ETH as a project, the big ico the shady dev the time bomb on the diff the possible pos, all look fucked up
2972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2017, 03:39:28 PM
Hello,
I just want to know why Bill Gates do not invest some money in Bitcoin, he will be a very big contributor to the crypto world, and will also be very respected, he will also be able to become more rich (or less).
But what is the reason why he do not invest funds in cryptocurrencies?

because if he invest, you and other newbie will dump lol, he is not stupid, by investing a lot of money you are making other people dumping and nothing else, the price would increase a lot with all the money he have
2973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when you are in profit? USD or Satoshi? on: June 22, 2017, 03:38:04 PM
I am a little confused because I have always looked at the satoshi prices, but sometimes I hear people say that you should look at the dollar value if you are in profit or not. But when you trade at an exchange to BTC all the peaks and vallies are measured in BTC? Should you follow dollar value or satoshi value to know if you are in profit? Or do just have to choose one of them and stick to it? For example if I buy at 0.1 satoshi and now the chart show 0.12 satoshi I think I am in profit? But is that not always the case? I am using cointracking for example to see if I am in profit or not. If I look at BTC value of Doge I am currently in -7% on the coin, but if I switch to dollar I am +0.09%  It is very confusing..

Does it have to do with if you plan to keep your money inside crypto or take it out? If you plan to take it out I guess dollar is more important, but my plan is to stay in crypto for the long term so dollar value is not even important at that point...?

I mean if you buy a coin at 0.1 satoshi and you sell it at 0.2 satochi you have sold in "profit" even if btc would have sunken 90%?

you need to look at the value on bitcoin not usd, because if you have 0.01 and you have then 0.02 you made 100% profit, even if the value of bitcoin go down, but this is more true with mining, because you don't acquire bitcoin v ia buying when you mine, if you invest 0.01 with $10, but you gain 0.02 that are worth now $5, you have a loss ther,e but again if the bitcoin increase after that you are not losing anymore
2974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of ethereum classic ?? on: June 21, 2017, 05:57:41 PM
Hello guys i have some Questions about ethereum future    Huh  Huh
i have Big etc amount But I am hesitant to change them to bitcoin for that i want to open discussion about ethereum classic .. what the price of this coin in 2020 and ar this have good future or no and  what the best ways to get etc .. about me i used rigs mining

ETC is good when ETH will go pure pos, because will offer mining the possibility to mine forever, ETC will not do pos, and the value will grow, to accomodate the huge hashrate of ETH, will help the market to no get destroyed by amd gpu imho
2975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if ETH fall to zero? on: June 21, 2017, 05:55:14 PM
not possible, but anyway those ico scam based on smart contract are not good for this world, bettr if they all die, there are too many of them and dev are abusing now with all this ico lately, but i think that ETH will not fall anyway, too strong at the moment
2976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the difference between trading and transactions? on: June 21, 2017, 05:53:15 PM
What determines the value of a cyrptocurency is trading. But one thing I would like to know is that, sending and receiving currencies among wallet holders, is it the same thing as trading? does it add up or down to the value of the cryptocurrency? Thanks

no trading is different when you trade you sell or buy for something else, you don't send just to another wallet, you sell yoru coin to get bitcoin, simply sending a transaction is just moving your coins
2977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase hacked!! Eth DOWN, on: June 21, 2017, 02:55:38 PM
Coinbase has been hacked!
ETH has been effected!

Please site:

https://status.coinbase.com/

should see major sell off..

Beware...

they didn't say anythign about hacking why you say so? you made it up, i see that they have only problem regarding possible maintanace, no haching, also coinbase, use cold wallet, for big amount of coin, it's impossible to hack, they are conencted with IRS, the hacker will ahve hard tiem ahcking their exchange and be in trouble in no time
2978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA - Ethereum+SIACOIN or Zcash? on: June 21, 2017, 02:53:55 PM
i think better to mine LBRY lol, currently lbry is betetr than both, and with eth nvidia will consume too much, i prefer lbry or zcash the consumption is lower and the earning is at least the same, ETH + xx coin is for amd, leave that to them
2979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone clear up some questions on taxes? on: June 21, 2017, 02:53:03 PM
So if crypto is based on capital gains tax then how does it work with alt coins. You need to change them over to lets say bitcoin to then exchange it for USD. That exchange would be taxable correct? Its not fair because wouldn't they then consider you not having the investment for a year when exchanging from BTC to USD? How have others done this? Also what if I am exchanging coin assets for another coin assets within that same structure such as Ethereum based platform assets?

when you exchange for usd or euro you need to declare your income based on what your country do with taxes and regulation of bitcoin, if your country don't regulate bitcoin don't do anything, it's not taxable, otherwise just declare as you declare every income in usd or euro
2980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the future of bitcoin will look like on: June 21, 2017, 02:51:39 PM
bitcoin future will be very good, can only increase from now, i can't see bitcoin falling anymore, altcoin also will get stronger, because altcoin follow what bitcoin do, we just need to wait for better adoption, the adoption will grow naturally like it's growing now in japan, other country i think need to learn from japan and adopt bitcoin better
