2961  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is following the same path of 2017 on: April 07, 2019, 07:34:42 PM
I am not sure there are similarities in 2017. Many experts predict the movement of bitcoin in 2019 will be the same as 2015. so I think bitcoin will fall back and recover soon in 6 months later
This is exactly what i expect this time around too, one thing is certain that the market is recovering and the signs are really good and hopefully we wont be going down to $3k from this situation, i am expecting the price range around $8K by the end of this year and we might see some small correction in between.

@OP Hopefully Bitcoin will follow the path of 2017 by 2021. Smiley

Maybe the price trend is somewhat similar to 2017 but I prefer a gradual increase rather than steep climb. And with the increasing number of crypto users as well as merchants accepting crypto, I consider that this price increase has solid grounds. Unlike in 2017, it was more of a hype and noobs trying to join the bandwagon. People are now more educated in terms of crypto and a lot of them learned their lesson from the past couple of years (2017 for the BTC's ATH and 2018 for the rampant ICO scams).
2962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling sites needs to be a mobile friendly or not? on: April 07, 2019, 07:19:14 PM
Yes it is, I only play in mobile ever since I got into crypto. I also tried playing in pc but that's just once or twice if i'm not mistaken. Although, I think majority of players prefer playing in pc, still much better if the site is a mobile friendly for a player like me that doesn't own a personal computer and internet plan. It's also more convenient to play in mobile.

Now because of this post, I see one good advantage of having mobile version for a gambling site. I just realized, there are a lot of people who don't own personal computer and internet plan. So playing via mobile phone is a good alternative for them. Owning a smartphone is cheaper than owning a laptop or desktop. Smartphones nowadays are getting cheaper. And in terms of their internet connection, they can avail the free wifi from coffee shops, or other convenience stores or malls. A lot of malls are now offering free wifi connection. So for a gambling site to reach out those potential players, you should have a mobile version as well.
2963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Veriblock IEO on Bittrex ended within 10 secs. on: April 06, 2019, 10:46:33 PM
I have no idea how something could be sold out in 10 seconds for that much money, nothing is that special, hell even if I knew what happens to bitcoin in 2008 and buy bitcoins I wouldn't buy it up all in 10 seconds that is way too quick. Calculations on how much you can buy and not disturb the market is really not done in these new coins, we have no idea who owns how much of veriblock and how it could hurt the market.

Maybe it was done in 10 seconds because someone bought a huge amount of it basically covering the whole IEO by himself in short span of time? Maybe that is why veriblock looks like it is loved by everyone but actually owned by just one? That would mean there is horrible times ahead for people who hold Veriblock and that person posses a big threat to the price? We have no clue if that is the case or not.

I am doubting the integrity of these IEOs now. Even bots can't compete with them.  Grin I will not be surprised if the price of Veriblock will turned to be a disappointment in the future. Can someone explain the feasibility study that such IEOs can really be done within few seconds? Is there any loophole in their system?
2964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Novogratz Slams Litecoin, Screams ‘Buy Bitcoin’ on: April 05, 2019, 10:02:26 PM
What do you expect? Mike Novogratz is a bitcoin perma-bull, so it's obvious he will slam all other coins out there.

As for Litecoin, it has its own purpose, it's even been Bitcoin's small brother. And been used as a guinea pig by Bitcoin. So don't be surprised though as I have said, and don't bother to talk Mike out of it, Litecoin supporters should know better. So don't take it personally though, Mike is just doing his job shilling for Bitcoin.

Yes, I agree with your point. If you are a known loyal supporter, you will always say positive things to the one you are rooting for. And all the others, are just secondary as if they don't exist in your realm. But let's accept the fact here, litecoin has been one of the institutions in this crypto market, they are catering specific services and they are staying here for a reason.
2965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Khan on: April 05, 2019, 09:03:53 PM
The odds are -1538 for Terence Crawford and +883 for Amir Khan. Odds are from Nitrogensports. That means if you place a $100 bet to Terence Crawford and he wins you get back $106.50 or just $6.50 profit. While if you place you $100 to Amir Khan, you will get back $983.00 or 883.00 profit. Now you know who is the early favorite.

Obviously Crawford is the favorite with his perfect stats(34 WINs) but on the other side Amir Khan is great boxer as well although he is not like what he was some years ago.
Related to betting, spending small amount on Khan seems worth enough as we have high odds although the chance is small but anything may happen on the ring so I think I'll place few bucks on Khan.

I just hope we will see the real fight here and not just another Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown. But with Amir's determination to become the world champion, we might see a better fight here. Maybe, I will bet on Khan, good profit in case he showed his true power in the ring and showed what he's got.

Switching things up a little ! Airdropping 3 RHOM coins each to the first 50 users who post their RHOM address in the Discord Channel

I got my fair share of 20 RHOM setting up a VPS for staking and see how this 10,000 APR will works out Cheesy

@DEV still waiting for normal blockexplorer. Thanks

There is not much staking going on by the looks of it from the makeshift block explorers that are available, I reckon it's probably due to not many people having their wallets open or have yet to get their free coins.

A normal Block Explorer would be quite nice instead of having to sift through pages & txid's

I agree with that. Regular block explorer would be great. But since he's building up this project, let's give him the chance to organize things. I just hope this won't die anytime soon.

Staking is working great for me. Thank you dev.
2967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io Scam on: April 05, 2019, 06:19:23 AM
Bitcasino has a active signature campaign going on for some time now  almost 10 months.
They are paying people like myself and others too.
OP it sounds like you may have accidentally bet too much and werent kind to support.
This is all I can think for banning you account for 24 hours.
You should try the live support feature rather then talking with people here who just want pay for posting.

You have your point. The OP should reach out directly to them and if he feels that they are still ignoring him, he can create a thread in the scam accusations board. They will seriously consider his case and might be resolved faster.

This is nowhere near scam. The problem you mention could be from your browser. Such happens when browsers become unresponsive or your machine memory is failing you.

This might be his case. This online casino has been here and been promoted for so long already. They would not ruin their reputation by simple misunderstanding only.
2968  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰TrustDice on blockchain| provably fair| High dividends| Wagering contest🎁 on: April 04, 2019, 11:59:58 PM
To OP what is the use of faucet when you can't even try to bet in the game? A faucet is used by players to try the game for the first time but the coins that you can get in the faucet are practically useless.
Perhaps the team needs to work it out and make some adjustment again, faucets are a good way to test and enjoy the site, before sending your own
money, most gamblers wanted to be more familiar first inside the site and that's how faucets will works or some other promotions just need to wager
just in case a lucky claimers able to win in order to cash it out from the site.

This is true, very valuable feedback. It was a Finding for us. We are still new in BTC community and the things work for EOS community don't work for BTC. We realized.

FYI, we have lowered the bet amount today. So now users can claim BTC from the faucet and make a few bets.

Great move from the developers. It means, you are listening from the community. Negative or positive feedbacks from the users will help you grow in this community. And you will gain trust as well. Good luck on your journey!
2969  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win a Lamborghini for 0.00056 BTC on: April 04, 2019, 10:22:35 PM
Here's the thing about this raffle. Let's say the fulfill the maximum entries(450,000 entries). If we will multiply 450,000 x .00056 = 252 Bitcoins. 252 x 5000 = 1,260,000.

I think that you've started it wrong.
The raffle is not crypto related. The price is also not crypto related. Just crypto is also accepted.
One ticket is 2 EUR, no matter how big or small Bitcoin is. That .00056 is already incorrect. The target is 900k EURO, not 1.2M. And so on...

The logic is, on the other hand, correct. They will indeed keep quite some money for themselves. This happens with all lotteries actually.

This is not surprising for lottery-operated business. Sometimes they can rake a lot of money if their contest will be a hit. If they will sell the tickets slow or not reaching their min target entries, we might never see this lambo. The realization of this raffle depends on the money that will be raised.

Is this the appropriate board for this? I don't think it should be in the gambling board. Maybe on the ANN or Trading section.
2971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN- TITAN COIN on: April 04, 2019, 12:09:17 AM
Instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world is possible only if that person agreed to accept your coin. The usual hesitation would come from the fact that he can't exchange your coin to his preferred crypto because he's limited to the exchanges that you're listed with. I don't know your other plans in terms of your titan adoption other than this free distribution but maybe look for other tangible options that will really aid the growth of your coin like collab with known shops or merchants.

ANOTHER garbage shitcoin shilled by ovbious alt newbie accounts
how pathetic lol
not to mention this graphic style looks familiar, hmmm  Cheesy
back again i see?

How we could fight this fenomen?
If this project is familiar (in therms of graphics and ideas) could we find some registers/database with all this "shitcoins"?

We cannot, This kind of project will continue to multiply until all people learned that masternode projects are nothing but a ponzi coin project that only enrich developers or project owners. While all the followers and community members are just hopeful for sweet promises made the project team.

Personally I've made good money on several masternode projects.

This is true if you have good entry point for a specific masternode project. If you hit the wrong time, you will end up crying. Because most of these projects are pump and dump. They will let you ride but couple of weeks or so, the value will start to decline until no more buyers for that coin. As you can see, most of the masternode projects have no real application in the market, just pure trading purposes, which has high chance of collapsing.
2973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Prometheus59 - a decentralized global blockchain-based supercomputer on: April 03, 2019, 10:21:07 AM
Since they have names and faces on their website, I asked for their linkedin profiles, or any social media profiles of the team. I got rejected. Then I asked only the info of the person from the team who was replying to us. He repeatedly said the information would be provided as the project evolves as I insisted.

It is great that they came up with a transparent team with open faces and names. But I don't see the point why they would defer sharing of their social media accounts / linkedin profiles. I can't find any information about any of the team members on the internet. So currently there is no way to verify they are really the people they claim to be.

Not deducting anything, just saying.

This is somewhat suspicious. If their photos and names are true, then, there's no reason why they are hesitant to share their social media profiles or linkedin profiles. Unless, they are hiding something here. Calling ICOEthics here...

2975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Crypto Enviroment is Changing on: April 02, 2019, 10:02:23 PM

In 2017-2018 the bullmarket was driven by freshness and mostly FOMO. Crypto as a whole today, has never witnessed more market and business movements; that's not seen as changing anytime soon. This all leads into a solidification of infrastructure and use, where real value is going to be derived from for all cryptos.

First things first. Are you a writer by any chance? Or just love writing sensible topics regarding crypto?  Grin

Crypto has been invading a lot of businesses in a good way. Business owners are now realizing the benefits of this technology when it comes to their operations. And this is not just riding the hype but actual understanding that crypto will change the way they handle their businesses. And with such movement, this will have a positive impact in the crypto market.

I see too many people talking but no one testing...

Noone would really test your services because they will lose money upon giving it to you. People here are not that dumb and greedy to fall for those trap of yours.

Seems that his site is not so attractive for gamblers even offering such high percentage of winning. Maybe give them initial money like 10k sats and let them do your free trial. Really hard to please people so you need to think out of the box how to get them onboard. Now that players are offered with too good to be true chance of winning, no one is taking it.  Grin Grin Grin
2977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smerits Hodl on: April 02, 2019, 07:29:01 AM
It's not just that we are stingy in giving out smerit and we want to keep all to ourselves, beside it can never be useful to us because it can't be used for anything, unless you want to make purchase of the bitcointalk April fool condoms and shirts that is being sold currently in the market, lol.

Most of the time we even forget that we have possession of smerit with us and we have to give it away, maybe it would be cool if there is something that can bring it to our consciousness that we actually need to give smerit to those that makes quality post in the forum.

Or those who are holding sMerits are too lazy to go around the forum and read each and every post.  Tongue  They will just give the merit if they encounter a quality post while doing their regular activity in the forum but not to the point that they will go hunting for quality posters. A suggestion though, for those who have lots of sMerits, maybe they can dedicate 30minutes of their time every week to roam around the forum and share their smerits to those deserving individuals.  Wink
2978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about MultiVAC? on: April 02, 2019, 07:17:14 AM
Then Kucoin has brought their IEO launchpad? Oh, I just heard it from you. Once I followed Kucoin exchange regularly and I thought Kucoin will be a good competitor of Binance! But I was very wrong, Kucoin just an average exchange, so their IEO is not familiar with much people! So, I don't know about MultiVAC, you may research before buying its token!

I just learned the project MultiVAC because of this thread. The popularity of Kucoin launchpad is not as popular as Binance at this moment. However, the recent project handled by binance, which is Celer is not really doing good in the market. Maybe, I was expecting to increase its price not the other way around.

For those who want to know more about MultiVAC to check its market potential -

Awesome list of all of the history of cryptography, if all of this is being binded it would make a book.

I wonder if they do have a complete books of it that would be awesome to most Bitcoin enthusiast.

This is a good reference for a student wanting to make a paper or thesis regarding bitcoin. I just hope that person will find this thread. Very few people are lending their time and effort to come up a thread like this.
2980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep the security levels to maximum during the ICO campaign period. on: April 01, 2019, 10:53:36 PM
If you collect funds in fiat money, banks should take care of the security and insurance of the money raised. However, all resources collected in cryptocurrencies should be kept in cold wallet (Ledger Nano for example). Just remember to give access to priv keys at least two persons to not repeat problem of QuadrigaCX..

The development team should always have contingency plans. Many layers of security will be worthless if inside job is in play. So make sure that your team members are trustworthy enough to handle such big amount of funds. Selfish desire to get in touch with money is the usual culprit why many projects failed.
