1981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: December 18, 2019, 12:49:04 PM

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

A very bold statement for someone who grew their initial capital almost purely on luck. He did not work hard or grind for this million dollars, he simply was curious about an up-and-coming digital currency and bought some with his family's money. I'm not saying that he is spoiled or impulsive in doing so, but to say that he was driven to become a millionaire within 10 years and did so by working hard seems like BS to me....

Yeah it is complete BS, now it sounds like everyone who don't have his luck is to blame, i really do not envy such statement as well because he didn't exactly do anything out of the ordinary, he took a leap of faith and got lucky, this doesn't make him any special, this can happen to anyone irrespective of age, am just a bit off with that sentence Roll Eyes

Exactly! We have our own luck in play. And what happened to him is not of his pure hard work but fortunate events that led him to this situation. Not all people can follow that journey even if he bleed blood in working. So later in his life, he will learn that money alone will not give him peace and contentment in life so for those that can't have the same fate as his, don't worry, we are not after to be multi-millionaires just to be happy with our own lives.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think altcoins will be used for in the future. on: December 18, 2019, 10:26:16 AM
Before answering to that question, I have to ask, are they useless right now? I hugely doubt because there is high demand on altcoins too and can't say that bitcoin brakes them.
Ethereum is used for making smart contracts and it found place in gambling too, Ripple is associated with banking and financial institutes, Bitcoin Cash is Roger Ver's garbage, Dogecoin - it was made for fun but is mostly used in faucets and gambling. Monero is great coin for privacy.
As you see I shortly wrote a little thing about them, they have massive usage nowadays and they won't be left without functions in future.

Totally agree! You will not run out of list even talking their current usage either in payment sector, gambling or in financial sector. And everyday, more and more industries are integrating crypto as their payment method and so the rise of their respective tokens or alts to serve that purpose. So in the future, the chance of using alts or btc in other industries is very high. Those that are not yet explored today will be added in the list in the very near future.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vechain hack of $6.5 Million due to Human Error on: December 18, 2019, 08:00:35 AM
All humans make mistakes. But the mistake in this matter cost them $6.5 Million.
I mean, it is what it is, hackers always find ways to do their job, and unfotunately luck was not on vechain's side at that time.

I really hope, if this is indeed due to "human error", I hope the other developers and projects will choose their staffs wisely so they won't be missing out any details even the smallest details regarding their security systems and the likes.

I got what you're implying here. I hope it is not an inside job because if it was, then, that kind of "hacking" incident is very tough to fight with.  Such amount is already a lifeline of most created blockchain projects. If they can afford to lose that amount owed to human error, I really hope they will not lose large part of their assets due to sophisticated hacking softwares. Because that will wipe out what they have.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MesChain | MES | IDEX Cointiger Vindax SWFT Blockchain-Revain RVN on: December 17, 2019, 03:48:34 PM
Is this the official ann thread? 'cause I just saw another thread posted here. There's really no point in creating another ann thread, just update this one instead of creating multiple threads, that's against forum rules you know.

BTW, did you guys run a bounty campaign in the past? I can't seem to find any details about it.
Also, good job on getting listed on IDEX, a so-called decentralized exchange that requires you to pass KYC. LMAO

I don't think this project will go somewhere else. I have posted before on this thread and seems that up until now, they are not attracting much users to their project. Though they are listed in several exchanges, it seems that they will not survive long. Just my opinion here...
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: December 17, 2019, 03:17:45 PM
Dogecoin flies to 100 satoshis, please don't make me crazy with that dream. I have only planned to take profits with my Dogecoin around 60 satoshis, that likely a big challenging at the current bearish period of the whole crypto market. Bitcoin has struggled at low range and most of altcoins have still lost from 80 prcent to more than 90 percent from their all time highs. That is very a big challenge for them to come back.

But then again, 60-100 sats is still very far from happening in the horizon. I do agree that most alts as well as bitcoin are not doing good at the moment and doge is keeping its stand. Even 40-50 sats level is already a huge leap for doge. But I have faith also in here as I am always using this coin whenever I transfer my coins from one exchange to another.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aidos Kuneen: Anonymous & Zero fees [Banking + Instant conversion to fiat] on: December 17, 2019, 03:00:44 PM
Trying to access github https://github.com/AidosKuneen/aidos-wallet/releases to download wallet for test but ended up browser responsed below,

-
try another browser, the website is working fine for most users

I don't think another browser will solve this big red webpage when you try to open that site. Getting that kind of warning also. Won't risk checking that page with that kind of warning. I think they need to fix it on their end. Otherwise, people will not proceed checking those wallets.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Credits Blockchain to Enter Global Stage: Mainnet Token Swap is on the Way on: December 17, 2019, 12:32:37 PM
I hope that with this Token Swap it can make the network more smoother, fee more cheaper, and can be realized well
Yes, i agree with you. it gonna be a big advantage for us beside of smoother and cheaper, I hope it'll be faster than other
It will be legit, more people will turn to CS coins and the price will be rise up very very soon.
i hope so, as long as we increase its demand, the price will be increased also for sure. cant wait for its profit

As I have encountered in other threads, Credits has collab with Alibaba. In one aspect of their operations. So the potential of this token is really big. But we still need to closely follow the progress because we don't know what will happen next and what will be the actual happenings here. But if there's smoke, there's fire. So let's wait and see...
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IPFS] [MN] [POS] Aegeus - A new era of Data Management on: December 16, 2019, 10:43:02 PM
We are happy to announce a partnership with Blockchain Management Services (BMS) once again. Many of you will remember last year when we partnered with them to assist us with marketing, social media management, Discord moderation, and consultations for reward structures, as well as daily operations for AEG.

With this partnership, we will be able to perform the upcoming rebranding project in a timely manner.

-
Aegeus/KnoxFS Team

When is the expected timeframe of rebranding your project? The current trading price is not looking good, do you think this rebranding will help escalate your price once available in exchanges? Also, the site of aegeus is not secure. Are you still going to develop that website?
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] LIUM- Blockchain direct transaction service on: December 16, 2019, 03:56:34 PM
LIUM DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

[DEVELOPMENT]
The current week was focused on the development on the the main frame work of the LIUM platform.
1. RND DEVELOPMENT
The basic component alignment as well as the enactments of the function implementations for the LIUM webpage is currently in progress.
The chain code creation for hyper ledger fabric development is also in progress as research is enduring.
SNS account association log –in is in development. LIUM is currently preparing services for its users so that they can easily log in using their Facebook and Google accounts.
The design work for the server and DB has begun process.
QLDB is a fully managed Ledger that is owned by a central trusted organization. It offers a transparent system where transaction logs are irreversible as well as being cryptographically verifiable.
The system is being instituted for minimal data storage processing.
* This condition may subject to change due to circumstances.

-
3. MARKETING
On 2019, December 17, the LIUM team will be presence at an event for the Global Block chain Leaders Summer. The event will be held at InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnas 521 Teheran-ro Gangnam-gu from 9:30–6:00 PM KST. The occasion is designated to the world’s utmost authoritative blockchain event. For the specific event, LIUM has arranged its identifiable banner, as well as pamphlets to hand out to endorse its service.

Presence in a blockchain event is a testament that the project is sincere in pushing this project to reality. It is quite reassuring the project has good progress in terms of actual development. But we are still curious on how many customers it will really attract once it is up and working? The features are attractive but getting customers is another task to embark on.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Hero Token[ICO]-The Future of Banking in Southeast Asia | TOKEN SALE FEB 1 on: December 16, 2019, 02:35:54 PM
Apparently it is because of some new vision as HERO rebrands itself into RAISE, along with some refocusing of goals and roadmap. Check out the website https://raise.it/ I think it is completely different from the old vision. Maybe this is why there was an uptick in trading.

Why are they not posting official announcement about the rebranding? If you will check their hero website, it says launching soon so I guess their platform will not be launched and as you said will be rebranding to a new name?
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Reflex - The reinvented social media ecosystem w/ Mobile Cloud Mining App on: December 16, 2019, 02:18:01 PM
Social networks are too saturated market already. I don't know what this project will bring to the table that will somehow change the social media ecosystem? But mobile cloud mining app? Is it still profitable? Mobile mining alone didn't seem to flourish even if there were several projects that introduced that concept here.

What are we bringing to the table to change social media?

We want to give back the value of the user's content to the users themself. Everything you post on the Reflex platforms has a real value fo you, so the content creators and influenzers will now have a place where their efforts will be paid off properly.

Attracting content creators is a difficult job to accomplish. Because of so many social media platforms, creators are mostly choosing the famous ones where they can publish their works and earn a decent amount in return. Since you are a new platform, attracting those real content creators is not so easy. Maybe up until your RFX token is already valuable in the market and they know they can exchange it to something of real value.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO] I-Chain | The Revolution of Digital Advertising on: December 16, 2019, 01:48:24 PM
@ChristianPogi Whats up? Dont you think you need to say something? Especially after you behaved highly unprofessional when I first got in touch with you expressing the feeling that this project does not seem to go in the right direction?
I don't think he will respond to your question, because what I see, the account only posts announcement and the latest news, rarely I see he posting to respond to a matter or complaint, well it looks like the account has been specifically for such thing, like a bot.

Seems that this project is dead. From the last time I posted here, the team really got no time to address the community. So I don't think this will go any where and so I hope people should not send money on this project in any way. The person who posted the ANN might be a paid user here. He really doesn't know the developments of this project.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bankcoin Reserve - transparency using blockchain technology on: December 16, 2019, 10:43:44 AM

Now the project is developing very rapidly and every day they connect more and more partners. Now you need to take part in various kinds of blockchain events. this will help to develop the project faster.

I would like to see announcements from the team about this and then it will be possible to draw conclusions regarding the development of this project.

It is good to hear about getting more partners on board but we don't know what kind of partnership they have here with those companies? But since the project is really equipped with technical foundation, I guess this is much much better than those empty platforms who are capitalizing with pump and dump strategies.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Gleec Coin, a token created with real-world use. on: December 15, 2019, 03:10:04 PM
Seriously? after disappearing long enough, now suddenly doing an IEO on latoken. It seems people will get Gleec coin more cheap on https://trade.crypton.cf/market/LNG-GLEEC than buy it in latoken, but surely it maybe unsafe.

That is big sign why we should stay away from these useless token first who claimed they have real world use case but they have no direction about the future of this project. Nobody will invest in when it is already available on cheap price.

Yes, what exactly is the real-world usage of this token? People should be very careful in buying this. Introduced months ago and we haven't seen a good progress in the making. Maybe a trap for those buyers who doesn't know the history here in the forum.

1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW] Aigar Network Crypto Community [Official] on: December 15, 2019, 12:49:32 PM
What do you mean by development team sold the coins, Are you referring to Aigar or BitWhite ? Also the price of bitwhite is constant at 11-12 Sat (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitwhite/) for a long time ,which means that the project has still live in it and not everyone has sold out yet.
I mean the team Aigar coin. They released premine, a small part of the coins were exchanged for BTW, and the rest was sold on the exchange. This is just my opinion, maybe everything was different.
I hope everything is different from this analysis as i am still holding a lot of BTW. I will swap it once the development team will resume the swap.
If your concern is right, then everyone will lose a lot money again and the scam in the altcoins will continue.

Sorry to say this, but I guess her concern has higher chance of happening here. I have seen a lot of projects that fall to that category. You need to ask yourself, what is the difference of this project as compared to others that will not experience the same fate?It is for you to decide on what you will do with your holdings.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BigBang Core Re-energize the IoT on: December 15, 2019, 11:06:13 AM
Partners are Chinese companies? Have you got enough number of your target consumers of your technology to test it? The project has long been in the development so I am assuming you already contacted a lot of potential users of your technology.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PreSale][Token Sale | Bonus | L2L Token | Sustainable World on: December 14, 2019, 03:50:04 PM
How's the presale went here? Seems that this is not attracting attention anymore from the community. Aside from ICO, they will be running IEO. Too much events for collecting funds here. But may we know how much you raise during presale? And can you give us the current stats of ICO?
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TecraCoin (TCR) | PoW/PoSe - Hi-Tech Patented Technologies on: December 14, 2019, 03:28:15 PM
So when will the first exchange be 2022 ? and when will you be able to trade on latoken?
As per website information, it is indicated there that it will be listed on Q2 2020 on the other hand on the telegram group as I watched it regularly I read it will be by Q1 of 2020. I really can't tell what is the exact quarter it will be since the team regularly updating this thread I think we should wait for their answer about this to avoid confusion.

Everyone is waiting for them to hit in exchanges, so more than likely there will be dump at the first couple of weeks in trading. Since this is a very promising, hopefully it is! Then, I think that is a good time to buy for those who haven't bought during their ICO. But it is your call if you will see this project a promising one or not. Let's see...
2000  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be your next move? on: December 14, 2019, 12:55:13 PM
It is interesting to see that some believe that something positive will happen early next year, usually the first three months are fairly slow and not too many things happen. Ordinary people generally pay the debts they created by spending more they have for the holidays. So although this year is special because of halving, is it realistic to expect a pre-halving effect?

This year had an unexpected event and a powerful pump that started in April, but the opinions are different as to why it happened. Who or what can be a reason to come to the significant increase in prices in the next 6-7 months? I'm not a pessimist, but if the price reaches at least $10 000 before halving, it will be a great success.

I think it is a matter of personal preferences here. Everyone has the right to do whatever he thinks is necessary to his investments. Though the OP is getting the pulse from the community, in the end, it is all on you on how you attack the incoming situation. It also depends on your current financial situation, if you can afford to hodl or not, short term or long term profit.
