2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: middlecoin and my log file a few questions. on: January 01, 2014, 05:10:57 PM
I just started with Middlecoin and I'm too receiving frequent stratum connection failure. At first I thought something was wrong with my machine but after seeing this thread, it looks like the problem is on Middlecoin's end.

2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: December 30, 2013, 06:24:38 PM
Is there any way to limit the hashing power of GPU to keep the temperature down?
For example if my card gives me 85 khash/sec running on 85C temperature; but if I only want to run it on 75C? I don't care if it mines on lower hashrate.

That is possible with cgminer. Not with cudaminer, but try the evga tool, I think you can set the temperature target. http://www.techspot.com/downloads/5348-evga-precision-x.html
You can also try to lower the GPU clock speed or power with evga tool. Otherwise, try to decrease your settings. If you run K7x32 for example, you can try lower it to K7x2 or something.

Thanks! Changing the setting from F8x8 to F8x4 worked as intended. I'll try the evga tool also.

5 Khash/sec seems ok for the card, cosidering its a fairly old card.
There's a readme file with CUDAMiner which explains all applicable commands.
2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "result does not validate on cpu" on: December 20, 2013, 12:10:21 PM
32x4 is an intense setting for an old GPU like this one. Try 16x2 or if that doesn't validate too, try 8x2 and such.

I had one old Quadro FX 570, which worked with kepler setting (-l K2x4). See if you get more hashes with kepler or fermi.

He is either dead or here. Probably here. He could be ANY of you.

I wanted to remain discreet, but you got me. I'll have to create another fake account now.

I have come to know that Satoshi Nkamoto has been captured by NSA and they've been keeping him in Area 51 and forcing him to watch Miley Cyrus videos and listening to Britney Spears music in order to torture him. They apparently want to either get hold of all his wallets or force him to code a system that can take Bitcoin down.

Fully reengineered 50BTC is ready for beta-testing
Hello Everybody!

We have reached important milestone - we got all components of our new system up and running. All software was redesigned from scratch and currently we are ready for the public beta. We have applied our hardest effort working 24/7 during this two months to get back with the totally rewritten much more secure and robust code.

New system was launched on the new infrastructure with clean database. But we have migrated most of the user accounts and workers. All other data was backed up.

Another thing that we would like to share is that some of our users helped us to identify intruders who probably has performed the attack. We are still working on that.

At this moment we have enabled PPS mining and payout into BTC. In next few days we will introduce DGM and PPLNS mining modes.

Please note that at this moment system is still under heavy testing and development and we are highly appreciating any kind of your feedback on web-site, mining and user interface. Your support is very important for us.
Also we are continuing to communicate in individual way with our users to resolve issue with the old billing.

50BTC team wants to thank all people who are supporting us and especially users who have participated in alfa-testing!
Thank you for staying with us! We are working really hard to justify your confidence!

It's their way of saying: "Say goodbye to your BTC and start giving us some more money by mining with us again!"
Yeh, right..   we're all so DOGE, we'll do it much wow.
2993  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Maximum Difficulty? on: December 19, 2013, 05:58:29 AM
I understand that the mining difficulty of Bitcoin is controlled by the number of leading zeros in the 24-digit block solution. Now if one assumes no leading zeros and all 24 digits have to be brute-forced in order to get the solution, it would be considered maximum mining difficulty.

My question is what is this maximum difficulty value? Also, in other words, how many leading zeros are there in current difficulty?

What source do you want?

We just wanted to know if there is any article on the internet (apart from your posts) that can verify your claim that the Start Button color change is related to PC being hacked.
