At some point there will be news from China removing the suspension on trading, and BTC along with all the Chinese alts will boom. At least thats what I'm hoping for!

Announcement about the issue we had tonight Categories AnnouncementsOctober 29, 2017 This post is also available in: 简体中文 (Chinese (Simplified))
To everyone: We were under a flooding attack at 19:00 Oct 28th, 2017 (UTC+8), which occupied most of the system network and made the access extremely difficult. Fortunately, our tech team has successfully fixed this issue and expanded the server capacity. To show our apology, Kucoin team is going to give every user 5 KCS to all the users who registered before 23:59 Oct 28th, 2017 as compensation. These KCS, which will be purchased from the markets, will be distributed to users’ account in 24 hours, thanks everybody for your support! this exchange is very user friendly and it will be a big one in the near future! Where did you get this information from? I also have an account on Kucoin but I didnot receive anything in my email. This is very nice of them. 5 KCS is around $5. I also got 10 free KCS from them yesterday for signing up and sending a tweet. On their news page: https://news.kucoin.com/en/https://news.kucoin.com/en/announcement-about-the-issue-we-had-tonight/Pretty amazing action though, they will buy 5 KCS from the exchange for every user registered. I wonder how many accounts have been created

1. CHC( I am waiting for 7-10 USD in 2018) 2. LTC 3. Dash 4. ZEN 5. Monero
Im curious your reasoning for CHC? $7-10 from its current price of $0.15 is pretty staggering

Hi all. Been following this alongside hammers400 and may have found a few things and crossed some stuff off the list as no good. The key having ribbons short-long-long-short-long-short has prompted me to start there. As perhaps this is the key to deciphering the code. So far with the 011010 I've tried getting the Hex color code for that R1, G16, B16. But couldn't find a single pixel in the image that had that color. 011010 is also 26 in binary to decimal, which could mean in the short-long patterns we're looking for letters of the alphabet. Coin_artist's friend, Tyler, mentioned the original players gained access to a high-definition version of the image. Can any of these original players confirm whether or not the twitter image coin_artist shared is good enough to follow, or is there a higher-res image that makes things easier to work with? Additional findings, or major coincidences:Counted the flames in total = 152 The inner flames = 98. 152 in decimal is 98 in Hexadecimal, so thinking we have to use Hex in here somewhere for sure. There are 63 squares on this alternatives style chessboard, and 63 long inner flames. Does anyone see anything we can do with that? coin_artist has confirmed The Pheonix and the Turtle helped to inspire the piece, https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45085/the-phoenix-and-the-turtle-56d2246f86c06So we've started looking to that for clues based on the poem. On the Dove's wing we can read what appears to be "FO" (square A6), and on the Phoenix neck there appears to be an "Ld" (Square C6/C5). Combining these we get "FOLd". We're wondering if this could mean anything to anyone? Like do we need to fold the image over on itself etc. Or are we just finding coincidences in random brushstrokes. Hoping these ideas can get some people thinking. I have limited coding knowledge, but very keen to help solve this. This is very interesting. Also, think about what we ultimately are looking for and work backwards. A long string (is every private key the same length?) of letters and numbers. 26 letters with a way to differentiate upper and lowercase (or two sets of 26 letters) , 10 numbers. 62 digits total

Can someone point me towards rules for personal signatures? I had a Binance referral link and a KuCoin referral link in my sig, but one was removed. Is that against the rules to have 2? Thanks

Precious Metal manipulation, LIBOR manipulation, insider trading, delayed market info etc etc.. Even regulated markets are risky and no amount of regulation will fix it.
So I say, investors should do their own due dilligence and rely more on the reputation of the project. eg LISK has open books, public meetings, real people with real names etc and therefore is a more trustworthy project than a completely anonymous project with little in the way of accountability. The market will price it in, the forums encourage people to share their stories and in the end a good project will do well, and a shitty one will taper off. A regulator is not going to return anyones lost funds regardless.
Look at BTC.. That is an example of the market accepting that the founder is anonymous (and therefore not possible to be an "approved" ICO), but the project is a runaway success.
Buying into an as yet not realised idea is always going to be a gamble and high risk. I've bought in too early a few times and now I'm not going to invest in any ICO because "most of the time" two months later the token or whatever is involved will be half price or less and then has to stand on it's own merit and show actual viability to be priced above the ICO price.
I agree, but let’s say there is a good team with a dazzling white paper and they market a huge UCO. Then decide to fuck it all and cash out. Never to be heard from again. DYOR is good, but you never know the true motives of the people in the other side.

@Savik Thank you for the information! That sounds a safe approach. I probably can't buy Bitcoin as of now. May be I should stick with the relatively safe ones instead of timing ICO's You can buy fractions of any coin, even BTC. So don't let the price of the coin stop you.

Hello,
I am new to this forum and to the world of cryptocurrency. The volume of threads here is overwhelming and I think it will definitely take time for me to absorb key information here.
I have a quick question. I am a newbie to all this so please pardon me if this sounds silly question.
I have $2k-$3k to invest into cryptocurrency. I am not looking to become a millionaire out of my investment. My goal is to earn enough money to achieve my goal of about $50k (for my mortgage payment). There are so many ICO's out there and it is quite a challenge to find the right one. I have an account in coinbase and I bought 1 Litecoin for the sake of it (just to get started).
I am thinking I could invest some in Litecoin/Ethereum and probably some money once a blockchain goes live. I don't feel comfortable investing in ICO because I don't know what will happen when it goes live in exchange. If you need to chose between Litecoin and Ethereum, what would you recommend?
Thanks!
I'd split it 3 ways, 60% BTC, 20% ETH, 10% LTC. Then spend the next month reading this message board without making any trades.

Stupidly high soft/hard caps Issuing massive amount of bounty rewards which devalues it for the next couple of months due to dumps Poor communications from team prior or immediately afterwards ICOs that don't take security serious and end up getting hacked or leaking private data like email addresses Meme based ICOs
This is a good list, I would add pre-mine and pre-ico distributions.

Just a quick info, RPX will be listed on its first exchange tomorrow, October 28: Kucoin.com. Not a major one, but if you want to get your hands on some Red Pulse tokens, this will be your first opportunity.
Ive been using KuCoin for a bit and will definitely be buying RPX when it goes live. Haven't had any issues so far, it is very similar to Binance. Check the link in my signature to sign up. They do have decent incentive programs: https://news.kucoin.com/en/kucoin-will-launch-invitation-bonus-plan-on-1st-october/

There are an incredible number of true shitcoin ICOs. Regulations will weed out the shitcoins and let those with strong projects get more attention that they deserve. As it is now lots of people go from shitcoin to shitcoin hoping to catch a pump and dump. It is smoke and mirrors. https://coinjournal.net/vitalik-buterin-90-icos-will-fail/

First time I heard this exchange. After googling a while, it seems it is a new exchange, which compete with Binance.
Not as good as expected, isn't it?
Ive been using KuCoin for a while now and been happy so far. It is similar to Binance, and supposedly they received some help/advice from them when starting up. Check my signature for referral link, but I think it is definitely worth a try. Bittrex seems stuck in the mud lately and hasn't been adding many coins, so thats what draws me to Binance/KuCoin.

Must be a pump and dump target, such low volume makes for easy price manipulation.
