301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much time do you spend on bounty campaigns? on: April 17, 2018, 09:29:35 AM
It's like with everything else in life. If you do something, do it right.

There are so many bounties around that if you'd want to participate in most of them, it'd be a full-time job. There are also a lot of scammy campaigns, so doing a proper research is more important than ever. If you invest your time into a campaign make as sure as possible that it's not wasted. In essence, if you don't understand it, don't do it.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have to buy their token before you can claim your stake on bounty campaign on: April 17, 2018, 09:12:25 AM
So I have this friend who has joined this one of the campaigns and when the campaigns end, their bounty manager told them that in order for them to claim their stake rewards they have to purchase the token (the one that he campaigned). So what is it? Is it a sign that it's just a scam or you really have to purchase it?

There should've been instructions that state the bounty terms. Do you have a link to that campaign? BOunties can be very different and unique and there are no fixed "rules" that every bounty has to follow. But this most likely is a scam, yes. Without knowing the term though, it's hard to tell. Usually, a bounty hunter only participates in bounties of which he read and understood the terms.

payments by the holder stex  will be made in manual mode ,? Or it is registered in a smart contract ??

As far as I know, right now the payments are manual resp. the execution of the payments is and the rest is done by the smart contract. So the team initiates the distribution and it is handled by the smart contract and everybody is compensated depending on the percentage of STE tokens he holds.

No worries, even being an early adopter has huge potential. Learn as much as you can Smiley

New technology that eventually becomes successfully adopted generally follows this bell curve. With inventors and innovators starting the trend, early adopters following next. Then the early majority, late majority and finally the laggards are those who have to upgrade because the market no longer produces or sells what they used to have.
There is a missing piece here and it is within the 2.5% innovators slice. It is the lunatic fringe, the very first people to start using the new technology. The lunatic fringe is what gets the word out to the early adopters. The lunatics are ones that prove its use and can’t shut up abo t i.t  Cheesy And that is us, me writing this, you reading this.

305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties on Second Week or So on on: April 15, 2018, 11:50:40 PM
Whaf if i only join the bounty programs after 2 weeks?

can i still get some stakes?

or if i miss 1 week,  will i not get any penny?

please anwer. thanks!!!

There is no definite answer to your question. It always depends on the bounty you're applying for. READ the RULES, that's the best advice.
A good Bounty (Manager) will always have rules in place that describe how the bounty is set up. If there are questions after you read the rules, join the bounty telegram group and ask there or in the thread.
306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STOP joining bounties without reputable Manager! Value Your Time!! on: April 15, 2018, 10:52:38 PM
As a manager you should be doing your research to know the people behind the project, its not an excuse because you trusted the team behind it without knowing whos behind the development of the ICO that is a big bullshit !

Agreed, if a manager doesn't research his projects and it turns out that most of them are scams, it's at least negligence on his part and that qualifies as not being a good bounty manager. If a vendor sells spoiled food and people die because of it, he can't just shrug with his shoulders and walk away.
307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STOP joining bounties without reputable Manager! Value Your Time!! on: April 15, 2018, 07:24:27 PM
Hakamura made a very good list with reputable bounty managers and their active bounty campaigns. He also regularly updates it. It's a lot of work but for those who actively participate in many campaigns, it can be valuable:

I made a spreadsheet of the last bounties from managers, the interaction with which was positive and successful:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B4sMp4rDeYjPn3Lkbxn6Ot5KLQFERPXloIl5lUbTVBg/edit?usp=sharing

The table will be update, it will be possible to follow the appearance of new companies from these managers and to fit into the project on time.

309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: April 14, 2018, 05:38:09 PM
IMHO ICOs are just getting started same like crypto.  May be they will be regulated more or slow down. Maybe will be a hard time and few months good ICO's wills waiting for set dates but they will keep coming.

That's exactly it. Funding rounds are as old as markets are, only the way they are arranged changes. ICOs open up a lot more chances for smaller companies and also create access for people of every area, origin or background. So why would they die?
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Taking ERC20 Seriously on: April 14, 2018, 02:34:08 PM
We need to keep in mind that this - while being an enormous opportunity - also leads to more confusion as nowadays Coinbase users don't need to understand the difference between a token and a coin and that the one doesn't work without the other. I hope Coinbase has a solid plan as on how to best introduce this topic to their customers, else there could be a rough awakening for some  Cheesy

@mithrim

Polo still has the same problems it had last year, nothing has changed. it's probably too soon to expect results of Circle acquisition, so I hope we will see some changes soon.

Oh, ok, sad to hear. Thought this would change much quicker as there is so much competition in this space. Well, I abandoned Polo a "long" time ago Cheesy As soon as I saw projects like STeX I knew that decentralized exchanges (and premium centralized ones) would be the future.

What a potential project!!!  Should I invest? Roll Eyes

That depends on your liquidity and overall portfolio but if I were you... Wink

Update

I want to stress that this project is for a long term and putting up an exchange that aggregates the coins & solve the problem that other exchanges have is not easy. It takes time before they will completely done their platform. Look at their roadmap and see how the time of alpha and beta released. Well, I hope also that after this A2A coin, STeX will finally release its exchange.

I guess that after the ICO finished, they need to focus more on staffing up, else they'll run into the same problem other exchanges had (e.g. Polo with its horrible support and the slow reaction time before the circle acquired them). I understand why the ICO is the most important objective right now but I'd hoped for more news in regards to staff and especially marketing.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [13-04-2018] Russian Court Bans Telegram App After Its ICO Pre-Sale on: April 13, 2018, 01:54:45 PM
Read the new but couldn't find any indication of how they'll enforce this. Is there anything known? Since Telegram has an API, banning the app alone wouldn't do any good. Banning technology is one of the hardest things a government can attempt if they simultaneously want their industry to flourish and at the same time stay competitive.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you feel the heartbeat when the price rising dramatically? on: April 13, 2018, 07:53:58 AM
Don't get over-excited with rising prices. Enjoy your profits if and when you safely made them. That way you aren't that depressed if the markets crash. Don't get overly attached Cheesy
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you predict coins will be stable again? on: April 13, 2018, 07:03:10 AM
In your opinion when do you predict alt coins will be stable again?

Actually no one can predict when the coins will be stable, ever since the fluctuation of price in crypto is normal, so the best thing we can do is be patience and  wiser enough in making decisions, just hold on and keep believing.

I don't get what people exactly mean by "stable". When is a coin stable? Stability = low volatility? I can't wrap my head around that as even a stable coin (with low volatility) can lose value as a steady decline would also qualify as stable.
And what is meant by "coins"? Does it refer to the whole market? Only altcoins? Only coins with inherent value? The OPs portfolio? I don't get it  Cheesy

I invest in presale and still can't say that I "safely assume it is not a scam".. The reason is they still continue to creating another ICO so it's not impossible that they're doing some work just to gather more. But I want to believe it's not a scam

I can relate to that, but to be fair, STeX always said that there would be a second ICO. It just got delayed when the team restructured after the incident at the beginning. On top of that, they tried to involve the community in those major decisions. So it's only natural that things take a bit longer, but I prefer transparency.

Last chance to buy STE tokens via whitelist at 2.35 ETH/1000 STE tokens - price valid till April 12, 18:00 GMT

Hi Ivan, I'm a bit confused as on the website it says

Last Stage if STeX STE token ICO is scheduled to April 15, 2018. ICO Price is 400 STE per 1 ETH. or 2.5 ETH per 1,000 STE Get a 6% discount when buying from April 1 to April 15 - 2.35 ETH per 1000 STE (WL).

You might want to correct that or clarify which date is correct. It's irritating if the whitelisting process tells a different date Smiley

Be safe.
