302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling are mainly for rich and lucky mind. on: November 28, 2023, 07:21:37 PM
Gambling doesn't force everyone to gamble but it is our decision and desires. If you think that gambling is only for rich people and lucky people, then see your friends who are gambling if they are rich and are too lucky just to prove that your claim is right. Because I will tell you mate that gambling is not only it mentions for rich people and those who are willing to lose but is for those who can afford to gamble.
I think what OP believes is that gambling is to make profit, and so rich people and lucky ones can make money out of it and rich people will have as many chances as they like to bounce back from their losses because they have the means to do it which is not true. Basically gambling is for entertainment purposes, Yes I can agree that mostly rich people are the ones who gamble because they can but there are low stakes where most of us can enjoy playing.

But if you care much about your money and only thinking about money, then better not to think about gambling as this is not suit you OP.
When you think of making money, gambling is not for you. Most of the time this is the mindset of a poor disciplined individual.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: My economic plan over the decades and our future on: November 28, 2023, 06:42:55 PM
This is not a plan, because a plan does not consist only of a single action planned for the future, but a set of actions. I even doubt, with my usual skepticism, that the thread is a sincere thread and not a blatant and crude attempt to earn merit. I also plan to sell when the price is high, but that is only a small part of my plan.
I was hoping to actually see a step by step process on seeing the thread with "Plan" on its title, but this is just simply an assumption based from OPs wild imagination. I hate to take this seriously, I'm not sure if OP wants us to tell something to him, or he's trying to say something for us. I've read an article before on price calculation of bitcoin if it were all mined and owned, and it could worth $4 million dollars per bitcoin which is now unrealistic knowing there are lost bitcoins from lost wallets and accounts. $200K seemed to be more of a wishful thinking from newbie, that's what I don't like when we talk crypto but good for being optimistic.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Check if you have any rare satoshi on: November 28, 2023, 06:19:16 PM
I agree with other forum members that even though you have rare Satoshi or Bitcoin for example, it's value won't be higher or lower but if there are people who likes or wants to have that Satoshi like a collector then maybe he/she might/will buy it much higher price (who knows). For me, it doesn't matter if it's rare or not because Bitcoin is Bitcoin even though you have rare Satoshi or not. There could be people like that in Cryptocurrency or maybe not unless someone will tell us if there are people like that.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but as far as I can see you can only see that there are bits that have been use to buy the legendary pizza, you don't know exactly bit it is after a transaction, so there is nothing to collect here and it is just purely for decoration. I doubt you can extract those every single bit that have been used to the purchase. And well, we might all have rare satoshi that have been gathered for historic exchanges heist before, who knows?!

Hopefully it won't be bigger in the future, I hate to think that bitcoin have a rarity like fiat  Roll Eyes
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something you don't have to forget on: November 25, 2023, 07:05:42 PM
It's true that the rise of Bitcoin caught many by surprise. Security and remembering passwords are crucial in the world of cryptocurrency and keeping them safe ensures you have access to potential future value. The crypto landscape is dynamic and many people will be open on what crypto could offer over time. It surprises us always.
Well we can't blame others who didn't take care of their seed phrases back then, most of us didn't know how world would revolve after all. I mean there are people thought that the end of the world was in 2012  Huh I hate to say that we are surprised by what the crypto is now, we saw the process that lead it here, the right word is we are skeptical to it in numerous times, we are affected by FUD by many influential people especially the media. Don't get back to the past, we cannot rewrite it thought history shall be kept. Now let's talk how this be more adoptable in more industry, widely used than ever.
306  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance CEO CZ bumaba sa pwesto, at nagkipagsettle on: November 25, 2023, 06:46:05 PM
Maaaring makita natin ito as CZ leaving binance, pero sa tingin ko hindi, it is giving Binance a room to breathe in the industry, mahirap pag nakatutok ang mata ng US sa Binance kaya sya umalis, pero hindi pa rin talaga natin masasabing umalis sya sa Binance, we know how it works.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss ? on: November 25, 2023, 05:30:19 PM
how do you use a stoploss
You set your stop loss as a safety when you are sure and not sure about the direction a trade will go. If you are selling, your stop loss should be set above the point at which your trade was executed, so that your capital will be save if the trade buys instead of sells as predicted. If you are buying, stop loss should be set below the point of execution of the trade. The ability to be able to detect and correctly set up stop loss in each trade will help the trader ensure that they do not loose too much to a trade if it does not go as planned.
I think OP is asking how to set stop loss rather than when to set stop loss. Basically, OP is a newbie with no knowledge on how to set things up with the exchange he is using so he is asking us how to set a stop loss. I believe he doesn't have any experience in trading, so best for OP to learn is by doing it, trade with low margin and see things work. It is easier to learn things when you experience it, rather than merely reading replies from here or from google. And as a newbie, my friendly advice is to set a stop loss every time you position yourself in the market, don't trust yourself that you can monitor the market, sometimes it takes 30 seconds for the market to crash.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: ~85% of money doesn't exist on: November 25, 2023, 04:41:37 PM
Unfortunately, this is one of the biggest disadvantages of the banking system. There is no exact physical equivalent of the value that occurs due to the evaluation of money through various methods. In fact, more than 10-20% of the money in banks has no physical equivalent. Moreover, although money continues to be printed non-stop today unfortunately the rates are like this. The first information given in economics courses already proves this;

''If all individuals wanted to withdraw their deposits from their bank accounts at the same time, banks wouldn't be able to afford this and would even be pushed to the brink of bankruptcy.''
So, I trust on Bitcoin because this changes millions of people's life.
Let's make this clear, "bitcoin changes millions of people's life", I mean both takers and losers. When we think in depth of what's happening in the market, if you profit then someone just lost their money and goes to you.
Banks take money from public and they invest in multiple assets and then they pay interest to people and after one years they cut a high amount from deposit money. And banks can show bankruptcy when many people wants to withdraw their money.
I didn't want to disagree, but that how banks work but there's a loophole into it if you just embrace the banking method, but that's only if you're a millionaire or billionaire then you just gotta go with banking to make easy peasy money. I guess this isn't a talk about banking and crypto anymore, it's how you survive your life with what you have in your hands.

People should think before depositing their money in banks. In my opinion, a step to deposit money in bank is bad set because that is digital time. Everyone can invest in Bitcoin that is safe and he will earn multiple times and he will become multi millionaire . No one will made someone multi millionaire except Bitcoin.
I doubt that bitcoin is safe, it never is, I can agree that bitcoin is secure because of its security and technology but saving your money for bitcoin is plain gambling.

310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 23, 2023, 07:15:42 PM
Human nature makes it difficult to stop gambling when you should, as if you are winning then you want to win even more, but if you are losing then you want to at least recover the money you have lost, now it is inevitable that this happens from time to time, however if this keeps happening to a gambler despite their attempts to try to curb this behavior, then maybe it is time they seriously think about leaving gambling behind.

Overall, we need the strong emotion to resist the urge to keep chasing our losses because the more we chase the chances are slim to recover and that bites into our bankroll more. This is a task that gamblers have to solve to be a reasonable gambler. Doing revenge gambling is one bankroll sucker as you lose control of properly taking your bet in the very calculative way.

Another thing with revenging the losses is that most times when you try to get back you increase the stake from the usual amount and if you lose in such times you see that you are losing more which makes your bankroll exhausted. So we need to have a strong control of our emotion. However, it is not easy when you are losing  Grin
It is definitely not easy, as by nature people are not very good at accepting defeat and when they obtain results that are negative they keep trying to change their outcomes, and often this is a characteristic that we admire on people, as those that are determined to reach their goals are the ones that eventually do so, but in gambling that tendency is a huge weakness, because as we know very well there is no way to change the results we may get on a gambling game in which the only thing that matters is your luck.
For most people in gambling, negative results drives their emotion so losing is just part of it. Accepting a lose might hard for most, I don't want to be a hypocrite but I'm one of them which is bad in gambling. To take this, one thing I learned in gambling is setting a limitation, profit is profit and losing what you can afford, don't go beyond these boundaries, if you do then that might just be it for your gambling journey. We know how hard to lose especially if you feel that you can bounce back from it, but sometimes just learn to pass it on and think that it's not the last day you're going to play.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: World changing and those who don't adopt this Will stay poor on: November 23, 2023, 05:52:22 PM
Poverty is still very much a thing that can be incredibly hard to escape, so no, it's not a matter of adaptation to changes.
As for CBDCs, there've been some pilots and there has been some research here and there, but they're very far from getting widespread adoption to worry about them. It's also simply wrong to assume that CBDCs will somehow boost the prices of cryptos because they'll be running on their blockchains or whatever because that's not how these things are done.

The issue of poverty is beyond man
Yeah, it's way too deep to understand this matter, deeper than adopting any technology we have and further invent in the future.

government control because it's natural and can not be completely eradicated not even by crypto adoption and in fact, it's a complex issue that is beyond simple adaptation. This CBDC of a thing that the op is hyping, no one can tell what impact they'll have on the overall economy let alone the crypto space. Certainly, assuming that running a CBDCs on a blockchain will boost the prices of blockchain tokens is not healthy at the moment. By the way, I don't even know the relationship between CBDCs and the crypto price in such context.
Well we can contain the changes in the environment, even without crypto we know that CBDCs are coming, it is just that crypto is being involved in CBDCs because they have the same nature but there are a lot of differences when it comes to application. Adoption is constant, if you don't adopt you'll get left behind. Now these 2, I believe, are in the same context but sitting far from each other.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 22, 2023, 06:42:43 PM
Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ?
The only people who would have been able to achieve this are those who take gambling as a career. For people like me who who see gambling as a form of entertainment and gamble once or twice per week, I cannot say that I receive any income with gambling. I have occasional wins and losses too but never have I thought about it as an income. Another question that should follow this question for those who would reply yes is that how much tax do they pay annually on it? And there are only a handful of people who take gambling as an occupation and do it full time.
We are talking to steady figures right? I mean even these people, the one so-called professionals and career gambling do have losses as much as they win. I don't really believe that gambling can give a steady income, unless and until someone hired you to gamble for them and give you a gambling fee no matter what the result is, win or lose. I think it is hard to do, we know how luck works, it does not always come get close to us. If there is a loop for steady income with gambling then we all be millionaires by now haha. Just do it for fun!

315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 21, 2023, 05:43:49 PM
The difference is when you're use Monero, other people will automatically think you're use it for illegal thing.
Well that's for sure, if you want to a clean transaction, without anyone knowing where it come from then use Monero, but then that is where the sus starts.

But when you use Bitcoin, people wouldn't automatically judge you're using it for illegal thing since most country accept it, moreover El Salvador dare to legalize it as legal tender.
Fine for me for not leaving signature on paper when transacting online or putting my name, my age, my country of origin, just a beautiful alphanumeric address.  Roll Eyes

So holding and using Bitcoin give you a neutral impression instead of Monero.
Well for both coins that serves quite a different purpose is great, both do have its level of privacy either of these can be used so be it. Bitcoin just tops over with its holding value, and that's what most of us are looking for.
316  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: November 21, 2023, 04:50:55 PM
That happens in many countries. That is why we are advised to have investments in the form of crypto or gold. This is to anticipate the worst possibility that could happen in our country. By having investments, at least we can prepare ourselves and our families.
Was curious about how bitcoin will be in the future if we all realize what is happening today with fiat. Anticipating the worst is a nice idea to prepare for the future, but then relying on bitcoin might be a 50/50 chance of beating inflation.

Investing in Bitcoin has provided clear evidence that Bitcoin is the best choice we have today. Even though there are still many people who still choose gold, we can also still choose Bitcoin as our main investment. A million dollars that we save in the bank won't be able to buy many things in the future. But a million dollars in bitcoin could have a higher price in the future.
Not so sure about bitcoin, we know how several institutions are accumulating more and more of bitcoins which could be the worst possible way of having a currency that depends on decentralization.

For this reason, we have to prepare ourselves from now on before everything changes and we start too late.
Preparation is better than cure. If we start saving today, I guess, in any way, from fiat to gold or bitcoin this will be better than nothing at all.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: November 21, 2023, 03:29:41 PM
~snip~
I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before someone creates and AI bot that can sit around making thousands of bets per day and winning at a rate slightly higher than the average gambler. I still don’t think AI can beat the odds over a casino in the long run, but I imagine it could probably bet a massive amount of money with a ton of bets to make gamblers inflate their amount bet numbers like never before.

In terms of betting, I guess most casinos have slower interfaces so I don't think they provide a similar infrastructure like the stock exchange.
In a way that AI has been helping us in many different ways, I think this is not applicable with gambling like taking all the factors to predict the outcome. AI does predict outcome by analyzing previous data, in short its prediction is from the pattern, pattern that a human can't see or comprehend and I think that's cheating. Gambling isn't made for such technology, perhaps it is the enemy of gambling. If AI continue to upgrade, enter all the industry that it could be then it may be a disruption for some causing some boundary and may be a new age of security detecting AIs in some area.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 21, 2023, 02:43:43 PM
I first learned gambling when I was a teen, just watching at first and ask elders how to play, but before I don't know what it would lead me up until today but NO I didn't blame anyone for learning gambling because it gave me wins and losses, let us not blame anyone because we lose sometimes, because we don't thank anyone when we win. It's a one direction of pure self-decision we had to make back then, it's to learn or not. It's not something that we can regret of, because part of growing up is learning things, learning stuff that we might or might not use of and gambling is one of things that we can use to entertain ourselves, not just by means of gambling money, earning and losing stuff.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2023, 02:50:13 PM
That Laker game was a close one. I’m glad LeBron made that second free throw to get them the win. After he missed the first I was a bit concerned. After the last matchup with Dillon Brooks I’m glad LeBron got the best of him this time. Crazy close game. Same with the Suns game earlier. Good basketball tonight.

Yeah! right now it's 1-1 for them this season and that's how it should be because the game would be boring if Lebron didn't prepare a way how to beat them next game. As for the Suns, it was really a great and rare game because to reach that long you need to have a great team that doesn't want to give up easily and that's what we witnessed last night. hopefully to see more games like these in the future because this is how they become amazing when they don't give easy wins to each other.
Why does Bron always do it 1-2 for the last free throws in the court? haha I think that's his way of getting on Brooks's nerves knowing he got less of time to get in near the three point line and has to made a shot before the clock ends. But my comment on the game, it is hard to watch Lakers struggling to this kind of Team, I mean Rockets now are on Tier B or C, not even on NY level and they are struggling on getting a win, I think that's what they call the Brooks effect or something.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not all educated are educated. on: November 15, 2023, 08:37:01 PM
Mixers are seen to be used for illegal activities but the money in banks are not seeing to be used for money laundering and terrorism financing. Among the most fiats used for illegal activities, only little do the government and regulators know about. If there is no bitcoin or other coins and tokens, there will be illegal activities both online and offline and their scam fiat will be used for it.

Yes, it's true, in the fiat system there are more money laundering activities, but they scapegoat Bitcoin for illegal actions. But I have a prediction that the fiat money system will sooner or later collapse and a new financial system will be born, and I think that system will be blockchain. I'm not sure they will adopt bitcoin but they will use a blockchain system like bitcoin.
Because fiat is traceable enough with its serial numbers, so upon investigation it can be easily track if it was used in money laundering, so they are using bitcoin to avoid getting caught because it is decentralized and there are many tools like mixers to delete its footprint across the blockchain though it is not permanently deleted, but vague tracks are enough to evade naked eyes.

The government always demands KYC, that's why they banned mixers. Because when they can't track someone's wealth then they can't collect taxes
I mean it is understandable for the government to initiate centralization because it would be chaos if they would not. Imposing taxes is not even bad at all, it comes bad when they spend it to useless stuff.
