Tomorrow is an important day for both of us. The result of 2 out of 3 remaining questions is going to be clear tomorrow. I believe in myself especially on the Anadolu Efes question. Anadolu Efes are in a quite good form now and they have to maintain their place in top 10. Good luck for tomorrow.

I don't know anything about basketball, but I went with Efes winning by 4-9 margin and I hope I'll be right.

As for the Milan vs. Roma game I'm pretty confident in my answer because Roma couldn't beat Milan since 2019. At least that's what SofaScore is telling me. But when the game start, all statistics doesn't matter. So good luck to you too and may the best team win Smiley

Don't think so. It is what it is and the only thing that can come out of it is a penalty for the ref. By penalty I mean he could be dropped from CL for the rest of the season or something like that. Worse things happened in football and we never got repeated games. There were cases when clubs took things into their own hands and let the opposition score a free goal (lower leagues) in the reverse fixture but no way Arsenal is doing something like that in CL  Grin Arsenal is still complaining about Saka "penalty" in the 95th minute and they probably feel wronged here.

I thought that it's something like that. It doesn't sound fair because every game basically depends on the honesty of one man who is a referee. I know that for a UCL referee it's his full-time job and all of them probably do their best to do the job correctly, but there should be a room for an exception if a club is damaged by a poor judgement of a referee.

Anyway, thanks for the clarification. It's the way I thought it would be.

Lol. Your good Samaritan work sent you to the bench. Rules are Rules.  Grin

Bayern were robbed there, and if they want to take the case up against the ref, they have a solid case. You are the referee; you follow the rules and do not impose conditions for evident violations of the rules. WTF is;

1. A kid mistake
2. I can't give that as a penalty in a CL QFinal game. ( Stupid 3 PK decisions were awarded in the WC final, the biggest football tournament. )

Arsenal fans are shamelessly talking about the Saka incident not mentioning how the ref helped them from going 3-1 down early into the game.

I quote you to avoid multi-quoting but this is actually a question for anyone who knows. Is there something a club can do when something like this happens? I mean, a referee has his freedom to rule some questionable things as he thinks it's best. But what if his decision is (intentionally or not) pure wrong and has direct impact on the end result? Could this game be played again if Bayern files a plea?

I'm not able to find much chance for doing research as much as in the past because of being busy with a new work in the recent times. Thankfully you also didn't use VAR. Smiley I was thinking that Bayern Munich would win today however a draw was an enough result for me. The referee's not giving the penalty in favor of Arsenal in the last minute saved me. There are still 3 questions that can change the result. Let's see what happens.

Well, even if Arsenal managed to win the game in the last minute, it still wouldn't get me a point because I had them to cover -1.5 handicap. But at least you wouldn't have one point advantage Smiley Never mind... We still have enough different answers for my team to turn this around. And if we do, it will be great for the morale because it would be great to win someone close to the top of the table Grin

Damn it! When was it announced that Alcaraz is withdrawing from the tournament? Luckily cls63 also has him to qualify for the semi final so it didn't hurt me, but I could have an advantage. I counted four different answers so it could finally be an interesting round. I was really getting tired of all the same answers in previous rounds.

You're doing it in an elite league, which is understandable, but I'm in a farmers league. The current league leader is a relegated team that went nearly winless in Division 1. Do you realise how awful it is for the Sheriff's crest?

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this clash. It's in the last round of the season and it will be so rewarding to push you to Division 3 myself.
I'll kick you so hard it'll take years to recover. Nobody will even remember that the Sheriff existed at all.

Oh, wow! That's pretty hard trash talk Grin Just be careful not to end up like me after trash talking about Harkorede few rounds ago. He didn't beat me with a big margin, but he still beat me Smiley

Anyway, I decided not to wait for the Đoković game because it's starting in an hour so it's too close to the deadline and it could happen that I forget to submit answers.

Oh, maybe you are right. I just checked the spreadsheet and my -2 goal difference looks much better than yours -8 Grin But don’t worry, wins will come with time. Every loosing streak comes to an end just like every winning streak.

5 games 4 loses - New record.

Don't beat yourself because of that. Just look at my team. I also have only one wjn and that's only because I got a free win because casperBGD withdrew. If he would have played the game, I would have probably also lost it with only four correct answers.

Oh, I see that a lot of you are taking a risk by submitting your answers early. When tennis is involved, I always like to wait. Especially when the question won't be voided even if some of them gets eliminated early. I will stick to my usual plan and submit tomorrow.

And just out of curiosity what happens to a team that reaches the next cup round but gets eliminated from the main league after three failed submissions?
Are they allowed to continue their cup run?

If a team fails to submit answers three times in one season, it's eliminated from the whole competition, not just the league. So basically, that team can't continue their cup run and their opponent would get a win just like all of us in the division 1 got a free 3 points when casperBGD withdrew from the competition. At least that's the way I understand the rules.

Wouldn't you agree that it's better to play against an imaginary opponent, and get 3 points (although everyone got it too) than play a round where you lost the round already from the first very day ? Because that's me for this week, so I'd rather have that imaginary opponent in one of my shitty weeks where I could have lost against an opponent that on one of my best week that I'd sure as hell win against whoever comes my way.

I'm up against chi20, an opponent I know literally nothing about except from their good run in the cup last season creating a great buzz across the entire BSFL.

When you out it that way, of course that my round was better. But it was still boring. I have no idea who I'm up against in the next round, but at least it will be the real opponent with who you can comment on the result Smiley I just hope there won't be too many same answers.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 07, 2024, 06:32:15 PM
Out of 52 people that submitted their answers in this round, only four of them didn't believe that Liverpool can win the game and they were right. I have no idea what is going on with Man United, but they are on a good way not to qualify for any European competition in the next season. If I'm not mistaken, they can qualify for the UEFA Conference League but only if they keep sixth place.

Failed to win against Brentford and then lost to Chelsea, I would say those four people who expected Liverpool to win were high on some opium shii, because what the hell ? but then they were right after all it doesn't matter what the reason for their decision was, it ended as the right correction which is all that matters here.

I'm just waiting waiting for the next round of question, this week is one that I don't want to talk about all. Such an awful performance from me, literally.

I agree. They were high on something or just decided to take the risk because that answer covers two outcomes. I remember that I did the research for that question (even though I said I wouldn't) and that's the reason why I went with Liverpool to win.

For me this round was boring as f*ck. Thank God that it's over and I won't have to play against an imaginery opponent in this season.

How did you read that I am not up for a side bet with you?

I just said that I have one with Slissy already and that Division 1 does not allow for off days. We will have our duel soon enough, after this comment that side bet looks inevitable  Grin

P.S. Matrix ruined "inevitable" for me, I can't say it without remembering it and agent Smith  Cool

I thought that by "no day off" in the big boys league means that you have no time for a side bet. We will arrange something. Maybe once my team get their sh*t together and start winning rounds in this season Grin

So... Two more questions got settled last night and I got both of them wrong Sad I'm comforted by the fact that cryptofrka is as bad as me (two correct answers so far), but it looks like Trofo got away this time. Good think that I didn't offer him a sidebet to make things interesting. I guess this season will be a real battle not to get relegated from the division 1.
I am now in the big boys league, no more time to have the off days. Furthermore, I have a side bet Slissy and that lucky bastard sports aficionado is winning his games on day one. Have to stay close until his form drops a little  Grin

Don't be a chicken Tongue I'm in the big boys league for the last three seasons and I always have time for a sidebet. After all, judging by my team's recent performance, any sidebet with me is basically a free money Grin

So O'Sullivan has won against Wilson and qualified for the final. Too bad that Trump has lost because I had him in the final too. I hope that O'Sullivan can win this so that the majority of my answer is correct and I'm better than cryptofrka.
I stopped following after I won, but do you know who is the other guy in final?

Currently it's 8-0 for Williams so I guess he will win the semifinal against Allen and Trofo won't be better than me in that question Grin

Are Trofo and cryptofrka just being lazy or will half if the question be settled on Sunday? I can't check all the results because I'm not home but I can't remember when was the last time that we had 6 questions unsettled before Sunday.

Also, Trofo I have to ask. Do you follow snooker closely or did you just got lucky with choosing Mark Allen to advance to the final? I have never watched snooker so I just chose the two top seeded players.
Both. O'Sullivan is top favorite in top form and I always knew he will be in my answer. Trump has been in poor form recently and I was quite sure he isn't winning even first round but that part of the draw was wide open. Ended picking up Alen after watching him against Higgins, both played great snooker in that one and I decided to pick the winner while watching it.

Wow, you really follow a lot of different sports. I could never make myself watch snooker. I remember it from the days when there was only Eurosport on the satellite and they were always showing snooker. Such a boring sport Grin
