Now that the Bitcoin value has dipped in 2018, I think the other way round should be done. Alts should be switched for Bitcoin especially since the altcoin run seems to be at its end. Hopefully this is the right decision though haha.

I think it is good to sell some off and convert it to fiat, one can only stay focused on this bull market for such a long time. However, I personally am selling part of my alts for Bitcoin, and planning on holding it for the long term.

You can't determine for sure, as no one has a crystal ball which can predict the future. However, it would be useful to watch the market and keep updated with the news. If lots of bad news is coming out of it, you could likely say that the market will be dipping, and then you may sell to secure yourself. However, that is not always the case.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, I participated in the dragonchain ICO and by far it was one of the best even though it was an uncapped one. Returns have been extremely great thus far. Community also plays a role, so I look at their social media channels to determine whether the team converses with their supporters, if they do then I believe the team is serious about their project.

I'm sure ISIS uses Bitcoin. Some people even the fund the organization by providing them with Bitcoin and other altcoins. Like every technology, Blockchain will be used for bad causes and also good causes.

It was merely a short term effect. As coinmarketcap didn't do any prior announcement, lots of people thought that the price was dropping and sold their holding due to fear. Once that happened, the price actually dipped, though it has since regained some of the losses of yesterday.
