461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Final Portfolio for one year hodling on: January 07, 2018, 12:57:23 AM
I would increase the portfolio holdings of Bitcoin. People usually have at least 40% of their portfolio holding Bitcoin. This is due to the fact that many believe that Bitcoin will only keep rising, with a few dips of course. Other than that, your coin choices look very good. Good luck!
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple the currency of the future? on: January 06, 2018, 03:41:02 PM
No, I don't think so. Maybe banks will integrate it and use it as a currency, but it is centralized, and defeats the purpose of the blockchain. The oppressed will definitely not use XRP as a currency.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: January 06, 2018, 03:39:42 PM
There are exchanges whereby you can deposit USD and just start trading. The ones that I know accept USD are Bitstamp, Coinbase and Kraken. Once depositing fiat and exchanging it for BTC, you can transfer the BTC to other exchanges such as Binance and Bittrex to buy altcoins. They have a very simple layout, especially for beginners.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Dogecoin worth holding onto??? on: January 06, 2018, 03:28:35 PM
Yeap, definitely think its not worth holding onto. The development of the coin is essentially dead. However, it has seen a few rises in the past weeks. I would unload them when one of these pumps take place once again.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin Will Be Nr.2 and Nr. 3 After Bitcoin ? on: January 06, 2018, 03:26:44 PM
Don't think any will replace bitcoin, but of course positions 2 and 3 will be forever changing. Candidates I believe have the potential are Ethereum, Lumens, NEO, Bitcoin Cash, NEM and a few others.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best bounties list 50+ on: January 06, 2018, 03:25:12 PM
Some of the bounties there are from companies which have revolutionary projects, while there are some which aren't that good. A few from there which I think are good include GoNetwork, Nucleus Vision, and Envion. Of course, it is best you research these projects before participating in their bounties. Currently rooting for Envion, though my opinion may be bias since I'm wearing their signature lol.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS CRYPTO TRADING ADDICTION? on: January 06, 2018, 03:11:15 PM
Don't think trading is addicting, I think that making money from trading is the one which is addictive. Money is generally addictive. To avoid losing money and committing suicide due to it, I believe everyone should only invest what they can afford to lose.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I sell some XRP (Ripple)? on: January 06, 2018, 03:09:30 PM
I personally use Bitstamp but since their verification is taking really long, I would use HitBTC. They don't need verification and are also accepting new registrations. Alternatively, you could try Kraken, I don't use it but I hear they are pretty alright.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: What if hard limit on bitcoin had been 21 Billion instead of 21 Million? on: January 06, 2018, 02:43:53 PM
Obviously, the price wouldn't be the same as today. In fact, it would be much lower. If one coin was 15k, and there were 21 billion in circulation, the total marketcap would be $315 trillion which is way over the top.
470  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you care if Billions of people need help? on: January 06, 2018, 01:04:52 PM
If I were to become super rich, I would consider starting a charity which will be transparent to all, though it won't be able to help billions. Also, the charity would focus on education as it is better to teach poor people a skill which they could use to earn a living rather than just feed them their entire lives. Give a man a fish and he'll have food for a day, teach a man how to fish, and he'll have food forever.
471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would killing the minimum wage help? on: January 06, 2018, 12:48:46 PM
Maybe it would work in the US, but in other countries where the minimum wage is already so low, removing it would be pretty bad for minimum wage workers. Companies would potentially give super low wages to their workers, and more people would just slump into poverty.
472  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Working Abroad is a lot of sacrifice. on: January 06, 2018, 12:47:02 PM
Thanks for the tips. Appreciate them. I'm planning on working abroad for a bit once I complete my studies. Anyone here know which countries are the best for expats?
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enjin Coin on: January 06, 2018, 12:44:37 PM
I too like this coin, invested in their ICO and the price dropped after listing. However, over the past few days, it has risen like over 100%. Has a strong team and an already working platform with million of gamers.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3k in Fiat. What Coin has BIGGEST ROI? on: January 06, 2018, 12:43:17 PM
No one can predict such coins in the world of crypto. However, I would recommend you go to coinmarketcap and look at the low cap coins. Research a few and if they seem good, invest and watch your money grow hopefully. A few small cap coins I like include AEON, CAG and ENJIN.
475  Economy / Economics / Re: $800,000 long-term investment strategy on: January 06, 2018, 12:38:57 PM
I'm not a professional investor, but merely a small time trader. However, I would use the bulk of it to buy bitcoin, and invest the rest into alts when the dip comes, since it is highly likely bitcoin will go on a bull run, and alts will crash anytime soon.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: January 06, 2018, 12:36:37 PM
I think it would crash really hard. As these kind of disasters will take out internet to certain parts of the world, and in places where internet is still available, people will cash out. This is because people will need fiat to purchase everyday items in places where internet is not available.
477  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is now the leader of the world? on: January 06, 2018, 12:34:23 PM
I believe it would be China. The country is a fast emerging superpower and Xi Jinping their leader is really pushing the country forward at an extremely fast rate. If they continue developing at this rate, China will become the world superpower in no time. Don't think Germany and Canada can compete with Russia and China.
478  Other / Off-topic / Re: education and morality on: January 06, 2018, 12:31:46 PM
Yes, that is very true. A lot of educated people in my country don't have any moral values these days, and couldn't care less about the people around. Some are just obnoxious and feel so privileged, and they do as they please.
479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Bitcoin get banned ?? Will it happen. on: January 06, 2018, 09:53:59 AM
Don't think it will be full on ban, probably just new regulations introduced to the crypto space, as governments like keeping control over everything.
480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Bitcoin do to Banks what Email did to the Post office? on: January 06, 2018, 09:52:45 AM
I think the battle between crypto and banks will continue to wage on in 2020. It will be a long time before banks go out of business due to crypto. They have been around for just way too long to simply just go.
