Very interesting, can stake rate be defined to go up or down based on tot supply - amount on a burned coin address and some other parameters? Each user would set a setting in their wallet with their preferred stake rate, and when they mint a block their vote is added to the voting pool. Hey I'm just curious is there anything special that activates the staking for ORB? I have encrypted my wallet then unlocked it and it's been sitting for over 2 days now and my coins still haven't started staking yet? I am just curious if there is something special that needs to be done to activate the staking of my ORB's? Thanks
Hi, nothing more you need to do. The time to stake depends on your block size. The staking will balance itself over time, staking becomes more often as your inputs mature. Happy staking! IW Ya but doesn't it say in the OP that the min age is 24 hours? What I am saying is that my wallet still says to me when I hover over the staking icon that "No mature coins found, Staking paused." That's what I'm confused about because if the min age is 24 hours and my coins have been in my wallet unlocked for 2 days now I would at the very least assume that the icon would light up and that my coins would at least start generating some stake weight to them no??? I thought it was 5 days to maturity, i am sure dev team will help out when they get online. IW |

WoW i´m even registered there.
Time to fire up my old scrypt miners and mint some PoW Caps.
My wallet has over 30k transactions hence using a lot CPU power. (PoS mining is CPU mining after all)
Whats the quickest and best way (split blocks, blocksize etc) ,what you think ?

As high as you can without hitting max stake. I have the wallet combine as much as possible to save on cpu usage as i have similar amount of transaction. When i used autosavings, it seems the wallet splitts inputs in two so i stopped using that. Sneak promotion, our asset fund is a longterm holder of CAP, and we offer our weekly stakes to be bought for XQN at 5% discount in our OTC direct trade thread. Important update - 6th Dec. 2015
Contracts:
After a month of stable service, having received hundred feedback, we have decided to change our business model regarding BTC contracts to use our service. I'm here to announce that Staisybit will no more use a BTC contract approach.
Fees:
Getting rid of BTC contracts, we anyway need incomes to keep up the whole thing. The natural approach is using fees % on every transaction, like, for example, exchanges do.
Fee have been set as follow:
- deposits: 0.25%
- withdrawals: 1%
- generated coins: 5%
It's worth to point out that 5% fees on the mined amounts may seem high, but actually the impact on the single user is negligible and it decreases as the number of users. Indeed, the 5% fee is applied on the value of the block generated, therefore the fee itself is shared among all the participants, ensuring a very lower impact on the single one.
I put below a brief example with numbers of how users share fees:

How can you tell the version number?
I also download the latest wallet from the vanillacoin website and when I run the wallet it crashes. If I remove my wallet it run fine. When I put my wallet.dat file back the wallet crashes.
Your wallet.dat could be corrupt. Did you try a backup? IW Yes, I tried a backup and it was the same thing. The only thing that worked was to import the private key into a new working wallet. Then I needed to move that balance onto that main wallet so it can be a super peer with 10k coins. It is now running waiting on the incentives to start rolling in again. I was pretty sure I had the most current version and my wallet was unlocked and it staked the 10k coins. That is way I'm asking is the a command that give you the version number? I do a 'getinfo' and it outputs this { "version": Vanillacoin:0.3.9, "protocolversion": 60042, "walletversion": 40000, "balance": 10000, "newmint": 0, "stake": 0, "blocks": 268747, "moneysupply": 12171666.6113, "connections": 13, "ip": x.x.x.x, "port": x, "difficulty": 106412.1741284904, "keypoolsize": 101, "paytxfee": 0.0005 } Oh, I see that it shows 0.3.9 and this was downloaded today from the http://vanillacoin.net/wallets.php site. Where is the 4.0 RC3? Huh, now my wallet says firewalled all of a sudden.. Port is opened, and rewards have been comming but not any more for me either it seems. Also updated to newest. anyone staking in windows wallet ?? sorry too much posts i cant read all minimum staking is one hour is that mean will get paid each one hour ?? maximum staking is one month or must wait each months to pay out ?? wallet must be open all the time  what is staking percent ?? can put your test ? 1. It means your coins must be in wallet for 1 hour before they start trying to stake. No, you will not get stake every hour. 2. This means after 1 month, your coins no longer grow stake weight. The higher weight, the faster you stake. (At least in theory as luck also is a factor) 3. No, but the more you leave it open the higher is the chance to get the stake. 4.
