303  Economy / Speculation / Re: URGENT, Bitcoin is on the verge of collapse !!! on: August 12, 2014, 07:52:17 AM
I don't really see bitcoin taking off for real until people are paid wages in bitcoin.
I don't mean a few token cases that are synthesized just to show it can be done,
I mean as a practical solution

Have you heard about the thing called progress? Cheesy
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: sideways for so long now.... on: August 12, 2014, 07:49:53 AM
Wall Street is not going to invest in crypto currencies on any major scale. This goes against all they rely on to make a living, and would undermine their own existence. Who would do such a stupid thing.

Wall street is utterly rotten - I'm not sure why would anyone want them to hop in

If wall street will indeed jump in - they won't make the average, pathetic peasant rich - they will use every single tool at their disposal to rip off the community by FUD and price manipulation.

305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Bitcoin Wasn't Created By The CIA on: August 12, 2014, 07:40:05 AM
People are truly retarded. What difference does the identity of the creators make?

It's an opensource project.

the old SHA were also opensource, still they had a backdoor in it .

I understand that, but still it's not deal breaking.

We should crowdfund bounties for finding bugs/backdoors and evaluating the code.

It's not a static thing, so what could stop the community to reveal/fix issues?

311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most Overused Words in Bitcoin History on: August 11, 2014, 06:50:48 AM
Not a word per say but "Coming Economic Collapse."

Also Illuminati.

The ubiquity of these is why I don't refer my friends to this forum to learn about Bitcoin.

I haven't seen any online communities where the illuminati conspiracy didn't turn up frequently.
I think the word "illuminati" only represents the skewed wealth distribution of our world, as in the 0.1% owns the majority of wealth and ultimately owns everything.

The "coming economic collapse" is not a myth though it's clearly in progress.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Spending Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2014, 06:42:50 AM
I always spend/donate some bitcoin.

Beginning from q1 2014 it became my main payment solution.

314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling on LocalBitCoins? Watch out.. on: August 09, 2014, 06:52:40 PM
I was honestly considering using BTC before, but after I read this I've made my mind up. Thank you for the heads up.

Sting operations are nothing new or exclusive to bitcoin.
315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin at war with the internet.. who is going to win? on: August 09, 2014, 09:07:32 AM

Well, duh. You only need 1 or 2 days to spot all the people who follow RT and Itar-tass and cannot trust anything else. And I doubt you'll be able to change their mind. Cheesy
After all, you're evil West, seeking to enslave the great nation and their leader.

I honestly hate both sides, but in my experience RT is way more objective/accurate than any western media.

Sadly, we are all exposed to too much propaganda and baseless ideologies, it all comes down to the fact that the majority of the people are stupid as fuck everywhere on the planet.
316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Key Points about the Jewish religion on: August 08, 2014, 08:01:10 PM
Magic is not the right word in my opinion.

It's all about the control of the population with well known methods building on the stupidity of the people. Using deception and lies to make people surrender to a central authority.

You didn't mention BitBet (also co-owned by MP), they have a functioning website which does thousands of bitcoins of traffic and turns a profit most months.

There are numerous reports saying bitbet scammed users.

Also, gambling is a low profile business preying on people with mental issues. I'm not sure how can it be mentioned as some kind of achievement.
