~3min ago prolly some huge FARM hit the network damn you How big is "HUGE"? Can you tell us approximate hashpower?

Everything is working fine, smooth launch.

[...] First i don't use provided miner, i use other one.
Can you tell us what miner you use? And second, Soil wallet GUI if it's not minimized hashrate on GPU will drop much.
That's weird, i see no difference in hashrate when GUI wallet is minimized or not. Is someone else experiencing that hashrate problem?

It could impact your speed a little bit, but 14Mh/s vs. 25Mh/s - there must be something wrong. Are you sure your card is running at full clocks speed?
Cranky4u > Pls confirm receipt of ~10 Soil as test units.

If you change to or what is dispalyed in the console?

The system cannot find the path specified. No GPU device with sufficient memory was found. Can't GPU mine. Remove the -G ar gument Press any key to continue . . .
getting this error; windows laptop with GTX 765m 2GB.
If you have 2 graphic cards in your laptop add: --opencl-platform 1 --opencl-device 1 to your *.bat file You get "No GPU device with sufficient memory" because miner is trying to use GPU integrated in the processor (i assume it's intel HD 4XXX).

Everyone, guys, I need a little of your help. I'm very concerned about whether I'm currently mining on actual testnet or have forked it at some moment... the thing is, I've started mining on testnet on 26 September, a week ago. Started with small 25MH, but soon decided to make some kind of "stress test" and pointed all rigs here, several hundreds of MHs. After a day of such work I've noticed that I'm mining literally every block (or most of them), so I thought that such speed is a big overkill, lowered it to about 100 MH, and left that for a week. Now I see that at this very moment: 1) I still mine a lot of blocks (but not all of them - there are "imported 1 block(s)" messages sometimes) 2) Current block in my gsoil appears to be 76k+ 3) Current balance of my address is about 83k of "soils": http://prntscr.com/8n5ee3SO, I ask any of you to paste the following - web3.fromWei(eth.getBalance("0x5beaf09ca9e07fa16fa146e9018c127903a76fbe"), "soil") - into your gsoil console terminal and confirm that you see specified number of my soils there, so I'll know for sure that I'm mining on right network. Also, if it will be confirmed (I hope so...), I will send 500 soils to first four of you who will also past here their testnet address AND a screenshot of gsoil terminal with results of the command specified above. It is a way to say "thank you" for removing a burden of concern and doubts from my shoulders and also a way to ensure that network actually works. Yup, you are on the right path. https://i.imgur.com/0hl4zhg.pngPlease add me to OP Mining using Win7 and 4 R9 280X GPU 105 MH/s My test net address 0x23e89d07d0c5d69fdafd7eaec04736769cb675e0 Thanks

Sorting by MH/s per BTC would be even better

Nah, if you want to speculate on price just keep moving your buy support lower and lower, create additional sell pressure - if miners want to dump they will fill your orders. Now is good time to accumulate, when SHF will switch to POS / POW+POS price most likely will go up.
About project itself - it seems to be ok: no critical bugs, wallet is working fine, increase of block time helped with orphans, amount of decentralized apps is rising, and so on.
There is no need to be upset.

Am I doing this right? Because this "dindu nuffin".
I lowered the Core Clock from 1000 to 800 and Memory Clock from 1375 to 1000, just to get a sure result but the temp is pretty much the same. I also restarted the computer. Also, for some reason I can't change the core voltage, even though I made sure this option was ticked in the Settings.
Can you show us screen from gpu-z? Lowering clocks only won't help much. Heat generated by a card is more or less square function of voltage and linear function of clocks speed. If you really can't change voltage using in-OS software then card bios flashing might be required to set different voltage value.
|
|
|
How to lower the intensity of the GPU? My card usually goes up to 86, 87 degrees C, which is too much. Which command to put in the .bat file?
I've tried this,
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 70 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 70
but it has no effect on the temp.
Ethminer does not support flags for changing gpu clock speed or voltage, does not support yet. As Xdragon said u should lower your gpu clock and gpu voltage. The best you can do is find the lowest stable voltage for the current clock speed and see if it helps. If not, lower your clocks and keep looking for lowest stable voltage again. But first of all give your card more airflow.

Few loose thoughts: It looks like someone is trying to accumulate more coins and is testing how high price can be moved before it drops again. Resistance to go up seems to be weaker than i expected or someone pushed harder than he should if he intend to buy cheap.

I confirm. I sent some exp to bleutrade few minutes ago and now it's marked as pending deposit. Everything seems to be fine.
|
|
|
Is SHF/BTC on Bleutrade working? We can trade there until Bittrex is up again.
|
|
|
Ok, but what about received/send transactions? How to check them? In theory you can run something similar to: var blockNumber = web3.exp.blockNumber; for(i=blockNumber; i>0; i--){web3.exp.getBlock(i)} and check every block for your adress in it. But only displayed block is the last one in the loop, and there must be a better way to do it. This method is just ridiculous.

how to check balance and txs?
Wallet adress: web3.exp.accounts Balance: "web3.fromWei(exp.getBalance(exp.coinbase))" or "web3.fromWei(exp.getBalance("your_adress"))" Pending transactions: "exp.pendingTransactions"
|
|
|
Yes, it worked! I will send it back when i figure out how to check transactions list edit: Just received 2.74 from 0x2a7040cc2b11f472e8db8501085e2d4acfca8f3a edit2: Just send back to 0x2a7040cc2b11f472e8db8501085e2d4acfca8f3a

So, i mined 1000 coins, but they are useless, right?
Well, you can send me few coins to test yours and mine wallet >> exp_test: 0xc10a75b703247198bbd7a52fabbc677892161da3 Okay since we sync the testnet now , by the time of the launch - there will be brand new network to sync on , right ?
Yes, we will have to start from a new genesis block.

Why then people are so eager to invest into ethereum despite such horrendous premine? It looks like buying ethereum now is some madness.
