Very nice setup slipbye. That's a dense 40 GH once they deliver. Just hashing to the wrong pool Tongue
302  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL ignoring my email about their empty parcel on: July 23, 2012, 09:00:08 PM
The problem which is not really weither it is insured, it's the fact this yet again has to spill into the forums to get an answer.
BFL doesn't answer their emails to the point it leaves their customers no option other than to do this.

Out of curiousity what method of payment did you use to pay for your order?

Come on. I'm kinda bored of all this BFL did not answer my call, did not read my mails, did not send me my refund or whatever topics.

Got my Single the other week, wondering if they even look at these things before they ship, there is a screw falling out of the top of the case, looks like its because a bolt is missing, and its causing the fan to hang down inside. The usb and power are so misaligned I cant actually plug it in to see if it even works. I've sent two emails which they have failed to respond to, and I have now opened a PayPal case. If they are going to warranty against manufacturing defects for 6 months, they could at least honour that when its fresh out of the box.

Long story short, I cant honestly recommend purchasing from BFL.

Just take off the case and mine without it. My bottom fan died after about one month of usage Undecided. At first I was pissed about the quality and that I had to fix it but the show must go on. I like them better naked...

312  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter miner (Win/Linux/Mac, NEW: Supports FPGA devices from Butterfly Labs) on: July 18, 2012, 04:54:58 PM
I just tried using this pool miner. It's pretty straightforward... snazzy display...good stuff. But it automatically mines for namecoins along with bitcoins. Why??  After looking around, there is no obvious way to disable the namecoins from being generated. Why waste the processing power? Can it be disabled so that all resources mine exclusively bitcoins?

You waste nothing. Namecoins use the same results as bitcoins. Since the difficulty is lower you generate more blocks.

My first single is up I am waiting for 10 -12 more from various sources

I got the rack from Sam's Club for $49 and the Custom Cooling Fan Smiley on the left from Walmart for $12

I used the new auto tuner from BFL and it seems to be running well

Looks good. We can use every single on BitMinter Wink

320  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: July 08, 2012, 08:12:16 AM
So I just went today to make the wire transfer to the bank but they told me the data that BFL gave me was insufficient to make the wire tranfer?

Anyone had the same problem?

Strange...BFL should have sent you the account #, the routing #, bank name and address, account name and associated address. I can't remember what it was called, but I think there was also another number needed for international transfers. That info should suffice for the transfer. What info did your bank say was missing?

I would think you need the Swift number for international transfers. But that's included in BFLs instructions. Sometimes they want the phone number of the other party (that's on their website). Having done the bank transfer (domestic US), and looking at BFLs transfer instructions, I don't see what could be missing. Could your bank be a little more specific, swissmate?

They sent me Bank name, Bank address, Swift, ABA / Routing, Account Name, Account Number and Account Address.

Apparently that isn't anough.
Anyone knowing bank things or economics knows if that would be enough to make a wire transfer?

It's more than enough information for a wire transfer from Switzerland to the US. If anyone tells it's not, he has no idea. If you have a Post account you can do it with postfinance. Zero problem.
