I have a question does the app continue to run in the background after the screen lock goes on and after the screen dims
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.8.7, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: April 18, 2018, 02:19:09 AM
I'm very surprised that a man like Joblo has only 2 personns who gave him merit !!!

I am the third : +5 merit for you Joblo and I think it is not so much for all you kindly job.
I invite each person who use your CPUMiner-opt to give you some merit : it is a minimum.
Thank you Joblo/JayDDee for your job ;-).

You're right, the problem is for me Merit System is crap so I tend to not support or use it because it basically froze my rank, so I'm holding a bit - to use an euphemenism - of a grudge against it.

Also he's already Legendary so I don't think he needs more merits anyway.

By the way I gave him one Cheesy
I agree with you about the merit system because some ppl abused ranking for ICO purposes we all have to suffer because the mods are to lacy to do their jobs and investigate so I choose to do signature campaigns I will never get merit sorry for going off topic Joblo

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: April 17, 2018, 01:04:53 PM
hey there

i am having endless problems with my 1 rig after updating hiveos.

its a 550rig that i recomplied the kernels on so they could work on linux.

I now cant even start any miner
xmr stak continually says HTTP daemon wont start, and its the same config file
Claymore just hangs when initialising

my cards arent seen as model numbers but now as
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device 67ff (rev ff)

The GPU index on the left have become snowflake signs

and none of the sensors work.

please...for all that is holy. can i downgrade to previous version? do i have to recompile the kernels again? please help.
yes you can downgrade heres the instructions http://forum.hiveos.farm/discussion/42/version-downgrade#latest

306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 16, 2018, 06:15:51 PM
Why is difficulty going down ?
People are leaving, going back to more profitable coins.. BTC, ETH, etc all up 15-30% in past few days..
RVN is a long term HODL, people coming here hoping to get rich in couple months this early in coin are just delusional.
Were still up double difficulty than 6 weeks ago.. For the miners who made some money during down turn, good for them.
For the rest of us who believe in RVN, even better for lower difficulty for now.. Easier Coins!!!
I hope we could go back to 1000 rvn day but thats highly unlikely I mine rvn and xmr with asic coming for eth and the lead dev from zec basically saying he dont give a shit about gpu miners you no the one's who already made him rich plus I see some potential in rvn
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Automated speedtest script for GPU OC settings? on: April 16, 2018, 03:37:54 AM
idea is solid but i don't konw how it's gonna work out. a bad OC can crash the computer. if the computer crashes, your "auto OC" script wouldn't function anymore. You'd still need to physically reboot the computer with a human's touch.

and I agree that if everything can be done easier, then we should go for easy. there is absolutely no reason to try to do things the hard way except trying to be elitest.
If you have a usb watchdog that would take care of the pc crash
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: April 14, 2018, 12:17:41 PM
Does xmr-stak-cpu miner work with the fork if not what command do I need to put in the conf to mine with cpu only I use claymore for my gpus so I'm not to familiar with xmr-stak also does xmr-stak auto detect the coin your mining or do you need to monero7 or heavy etc...
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When is ETN Algo Hardfork? Cryptonight ASICs Potentially Hitting ROI? on: April 12, 2018, 01:00:41 PM
Update: just heard on the electroneum discord that the hardfork is set," Block 250000 is fork, early next week"

I guess we will see if this is really the case
Good I have my cpu's mining etn and the profits down plus someone is flooding the chain with transactions
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: April 12, 2018, 11:03:15 AM
Didn't know this, thank you very much for explanation. I really wonder how it will performed on android powered laptops  Cheesy

Well, after the latest update most of smartphones I have checked or saw on screeshots, have all same hashrate - 30H/s which give about 10 ETN coins per day. I don't really know chromebook specs, but I'm wondering too if those would get more hashpower than high end smartphones. Although they may be not compatible with Electroneum app, cause for example I can't install it on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Tablet.
It almost sounds like its more profitable to mine with my phone than my cpu
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: To all you AMD mining rig owners..I solute you! on: April 11, 2018, 05:02:45 PM
I have zero issus with my Nvidia cards but my amd rigs are picky with drivers and overclocking but I have them all on the beta blockchain drives and don't push the clocks that hard and they've been running for 2 months without a crash it's pushing they hard is when shit happens and those compute drivers all my rigs hate them
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: To ALL GPU fellow miners. on: April 08, 2018, 09:43:05 PM
I'm down I already switched weeks ago here's the huge problem with asics besides they only care about money is unless your a big miner or have connections you get get your hands on a new miner to make some coins by the time I or a normal miner sees it it's been paid for 3 months in advance so bitmain can you it in their farm then they blow the dust out just as the difficulty sky rockets than ship to you FUCK BITMAIN
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 06, 2018, 11:20:34 AM
I also received payments so it seems the problem is being fixed now I'll admit I was getting worried and was about to look for a new pool
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: April 05, 2018, 04:08:59 PM

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 04, 2018, 01:22:13 PM
Whattomine Now Has Ravencoin added.  Ravencoin will soon be top coin.  http://whattomine.com/coins/234-rvn-x16r
That should kill the profits everyone will be switching their miners to RVN
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 01:40:14 AM
And whats the best is bitmain is making a shit load of money ask yourself this why do they want you to prepay months in advance so you can pay to build a asic for them to make money with for months than just as the difficulty sky rockets and profits go down they ship you your brand new (USED) miner
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto is dead because credit card companies stop crypto purchases on: April 04, 2018, 01:07:51 AM
Its credit cards but you can purchase btc and crypto related with debit cards the reason is people where buying btc with their credit cards than losing their ass and not making the payments thats why as usual its people who fuck shit up like lets take my whole 401k and through onto a ico than they never make the money back and go whining to uncle sam are you ready NEVER INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE

318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 03, 2018, 04:46:58 PM
I`m not buying anything from those fuckers. Horrible shipping dates, short warranty, half the world away, third world country produces them (yes, China is still a third world country to me, all things considered)... No thanks. When those heaters become available at my computer store with a regular warranty, why not. Until then.. mmmhhmmm

edit: just checked the profitability and this box is making about 85$ profit per month, with electricity at 0.13$/kwh and current price. Way too shabby.
I agree I was looking at buying a s9 but after thinking about how bitmain runs their business using people's miners for months before shipping just long enough for them to profit mining with it than shipping I think it's about time that the crypto community stands up and say enough they've killed mining the coins they release asic for for the average person not to mention bitmain probably could shut down your miner or switch pools if they wanted to they probably also no every location of every one of those miners they sell
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: April 01, 2018, 11:42:21 AM
I have to say I love this os its easy to setup and has been running 24/7 on two of my rigs for a few weeks now with no downtime I just ordered a usb watchdog that I'm going to play with and if its good I'll add them to my rigs also the only other thing I haven't tried is flashing a bios with hiveos if anyone tried please tell me how it went I plan on adding hiveos to all my rigs Thanks to the dev for great product
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: March 30, 2018, 08:42:07 PM
Is there anyway we can get cpuminer-opt there's other CPU mining coins that are more profitable than xmr Thanks
