Wait until all of the site will work normally, and will make swap small amount BTCD.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 13, 2016, 10:07:03 PM
Popularity of zcash gave a big boost to zcoin price . I think that most of the people do not understand the difference between zcash and zcoin.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: October 12, 2016, 09:08:37 AM
Bitcoin is much more stronger and popular than ethereum and bitcoin is available acceptable  in everywhere in the world and bitcoin transaction is very faster and bitcoin is very good currency for investment there is a lot of people investing their money in huge amount in bitcoin and get a good profit from bitcoin.

The bitcoin is more popular than the Etheruem without doubt. But its transaction is much slower than Etheruem.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: September 30, 2016, 08:16:25 AM
During the 2013/2014 rise to nearly $1,400/coin, how many bitcoins did you have?

And do you regret not selling if you didn't?

At that time I didnt have much because I didnt believed firt that bitcoin was a good opportunity for investing so I learned more about how the bitcoin works and how the price is going but didnt invested much.

I don't think most of people will not reached to the bitcoin and they were out of this community. As of now I have some bitcoins with me to sell some bitcoins. Actually at present I running out of money and without job. Hoping everything will be solved soon.

If you bought the bitcoin 4 years ago, at any time during that year, you might have been very rich now.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: September 30, 2016, 08:14:44 AM
I think you should have to compare ethereum with some other altcoin, as it is unable to compete bitcoin, bitcoin is much higher in compare to ethereum not only in value but in demand also. according to my views ethereum will remain only to certain parts of the world while bitcoin is going to become a global currency.

That is right. The bitcoin is the reserve or the base currency in the digital world. It is the most popular one.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should Ethereum and DAO be bought now? on: September 13, 2016, 05:46:31 PM

I think it is very bad for ETH.

Vitalik Buterin Softens On ETC: "A non-negligible minority that feel strongly [ETC]… am surprised by the level of [ETC] adoption… there are times when a split can increase total value… [ETC] is a positive value event… a version with their [BTC's] philosophy". (a16z Podcast, Aug 30, 20:30-25:10)
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH by July 2017 on: September 13, 2016, 05:45:07 PM
I don't expect anything special before 2020.

Maybe ~$1000 highest level.

Why do you say that? I think when the SegWit is finalised and release to the market, the price will be at least $1000.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P Ethereum - The Pre-Mined ScamCoin is dead on: September 08, 2016, 08:23:21 AM
Don't have any ethereum...of any flavor...but heard something about that the 'hacker' on August 29th will be able to 'cash out' his ETH Classic flavor?

what is up with that briefly (details please)

(off to get popcorn and a soda to read replies) Smiley

Seriously?

Woa.. if that doesn't negatively affect the price I don't know what will. (Glad I don't own any)

Where did you read this?

It seems the hacker has not cashed out his ETC yet. Although he might have already made profits by shorting ETC or ETH.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: September 08, 2016, 08:22:08 AM
Both bitcoins and ethereum is really good cryptocoins but i more prefer on bitcoin than Ethereum, because the bitcoins price is more expensive than ethereum and i already used bitcoin since 3 years ago.

I think the Ethereum has better development community and big company support. Both the IBM and Microsoft support it.
310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to $570 on: August 17, 2016, 08:05:03 AM
I agree. A lot of my friends and coworkers have only heard of bitciin and don't trust it. The older generation doesn't know technology so it will be a generation before merchants start accepting bitcoin as payment. I would advise people not to invest

If the old generation can use the smart phone, then they should be able to use the bitcoin. The main problem of the bitcoin is that the infrastrucutre is  not built yet.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 17, 2016, 07:58:04 AM
In a few years bitcoin will be the most popular currency in the world
I think it would sound impossible. in this world there are a lot of currencies of different countries with huge potential. bitcoin currency is small with a few users? I'm not sure a few more years bitcoin will become a global currency. unless someday bitcoin have users who reach the entire human

Bitcoin will be used by many people in future but it doesn't make it as an global currency as the usage of bitcoin is limited and most of the population is not aware about bitcoin yet.
I think that might happen? no one can predict correctly in the future. people have said that it is impossible bitcoin could touch $ 1,000 but bitcoin can do. and now there may be a lot of people who say that it is impossible to become a global currency bitcoin? but we will not know what will happen in the future

Both that you have mentioned have happen already, we have reach the price of more than $1,000 few years back and it is not impossible to happen again as we have already achieve that, and about global currency, I believe it is already a global currency as it is already known in the entire world and we are connecting with bitcoin.

The $1200 price achieved in late November 2013 does not count. That was a very big bubble and caused two years of bear market.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price rising and rising. Is it time to sell before another price down? on: August 17, 2016, 07:41:55 AM
If I were you I will still wait for its price to goes up.  It could goes up as I believe that bitcoin has the ability.  You do not want to regret one day that you already sold your bitcoin when it reaches 1k.  Just sell some of your bitcoins and keep the half of it as we do not know what will happen to its price.

I think we have to be very patient this time to wait for the price to go up. There is no good news in the near future.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH by July 2017 on: August 17, 2016, 07:40:38 AM
And meanwhile price is still under $600 for the third week in a row.
Little jumps, little dumps, but price lost 10% from the $660 of July and down from a $785 in June.

Today, the bitcoin price dropped to $560. There is no hope for the price to rise soon. I expect it to drop to 540 or lower.

This is one of the very few realistic and on point posts here. I also expect the price to fall down a bit lower from current levels. So far the price moved in the exact range that I expected. If the price happens to dive under the $550 level, then I expect the price to go down to $520-$530 levels.

I think the price of bitcoin will be stable around the $550 level for some time. When the summer finishes, the price will rise.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 15, 2016, 04:31:40 PM
Ok, another mining question....

ETH requires a gpu 2gb or greater, actually I think it will soon to be 3gb or greater because of something with the size of the DAG

Now with ETC, looking at the difficulty and the network hashrate.... would 1gb and 2gb gpus still be able to mine ETC???

note: I dont really know what the DAG is... is it tied in with the diff and hashrate or is it a block number thing or Huh

Here are the crude approximations for Dag file sizes Ethereum Network:

"Increases by approximately 0.73x per year" and "started at  a size of 1GB".

"Following the same crude approximation:

The 2GB limit will be hit around mid-December 2016
The 3GB limit will be hit around mid-April 2018
The 4GB limit will be hit around mid-September 2019"

Hope, that helps!

The Ethereum will go to PoS from PoW some time next year, so it is quite safe to mine with the 3GB cards now.

Yeah, the Ethereum Foundation have 7 million Ethereum to go until they reach 90 million, which is in about 6-7 months left, probably finishing in February 2017!

Then, the Ethereum Foundation is contractually obliged to start the POS - according to their crowdfunding campaign.

According to the first few versions of the white papers, the mining will last forever, and 18 million new coins will be mined every year.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should Ethereum and DAO be bought now? on: August 15, 2016, 04:28:50 PM
after today's news I sold all my ETH

What happened?

Nothing usually happened. There is news every day, and there are selling every day. In fact, I have bought some.

I have mined some Ethereum, and hold for the short term at least. If the price trend is going higher, I will keep them.

317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Ethereum actually the only cryptocurrency worth GPU mining? on: August 15, 2016, 04:25:02 PM
Miners are also mining other profitable coins such as Feathercoin, Vertcoin, Siacoin and Decred, anything profitable.

Miners are mainly mining the Ethereum as that one has the biggest market cap and there are more buying.

The combined Ethereum has over 4500 GH/s. That is a huge amount of hashing. Hundreds of million are involved.

The combined Ethereum has over 4850 GH/s. So that is an all time high. I do not under why miners invested so much.

There are several reasons. One is that the miners are very confident the the Etherum price will rise, and they have very cheap electricity price.

My electricity is too high. If the difficulty rises another 50%, there will be no profit at all. So I will not expand.

The combined difficulty or the hash rate of ETC+ETH has reached all time high. And there are shortages of 4x0 cards. So somebody is expanding fast.

I think the new miners are based in the cheap electricity prices. The electricity in West Europe and some parts of America is too expensive.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price rising and rising. Is it time to sell before another price down? on: August 15, 2016, 04:23:38 PM
If you are doing margin trading, anytime will be good to buy/sell. However, if you are into long-term bitcoin investment, any time now if not a good time to sell- it's actually good time to buy.

The bitcoin price is drifting lower recently. We have to be very careful before we buy more bitcoin. The other coins are doing quite well.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think Ethereum will be finished after this attack on: August 12, 2016, 06:02:11 PM

TODAY the Merkle ran with...
White Hat Hackers Caught Red-handed During Attempted ETC Sell-off

"After the funds were recovered by the white hat hackers, some transactions were sent to exchange wallets  This caused a lot of speculation among Ethereum Classic enthusiasts, as there was no official explanation for doing so. Moreover, the ETC price saw a significant decline, which seemed to indicate the funds was being sold-off by these “trustworthy” individuals."

http://themerkle.com/white-hat-hackers-caught-red-handed-during-attempted-etc-sell-off/

If they sell the ETC and send the funds to the Ethereum Classic, then it is good. Any way, they should be able to do whatever they want.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should Ethereum and DAO be bought now? on: August 12, 2016, 06:00:15 PM
The main reason why ETC is falling is that the hype is over. Simple. Now it is time for it to develop fundamentally so that it will gain real value, not hype value. One thing to always watch out for in ETC is the hash rate. If it grows quickly expect long term growth of the coin.

The Ethereum Classic is independent now. So it will find its own developers. I am not sure how can it find good developers.

If the DAO hacker donate some ETC to the project, then it should have enough money to go on for some time.
